WishlistI like this camera and app, but I do have a wishlist for it. First item would be to be able to copy the 360 files back to an SD card in the camera from the app (would love to keep the edits and free up phone space). Second would be an iPad version of the app. Third would be the ability to “follow this” on a grid instead of keeping the object always dead center of the shot. Overall, though, it’s pretty solid for what it is and seems to be improving with each update..Version: 1.2.2

Great fun, excellent customer serviceCon: The video quality may not be quite as high as you may expect, but when consider that the thing is capturing more than a dozen times the viewing angle of the regular iPhone camera, it seems reasonable. Pro: Shooting mostly absent-mindedly, then being able to easily compose your camera movements after the fact, is just magical. The controls to move where the view frame of the final shot is looking are super simple, but very powerful. The object tracking is a little hit and miss. If your subject area is remotely visually similar to the surroundings, the app will struggle. If your subject is visually distinct, this works great. The directional instructions are much more reliable, and I’ve found telling the view to ‘look here’ is usually the way to go. The company: I’ve been very impressed with the company’s support responses and responsiveness. They answer quick, and seem truly determined to provide a great experience. I only very rarely take the time to write reviews, but these guys have earned it. Good camera, great app, excellent service. I look forward to where Rylo is headed..Version: 1.1.2

Better than GoPro in every way! This has easily become my favorite video camera to use everywhere. Finally a camera and app that reinvents unobtrusive filming. I just mount and record. No more worries about aiming and capturing the right moment, the software takes cares of it all. The software allows you to go back and aim the scene at any point and the stabilization is the best I’ve tested. The colors are easily tuned and editing is superior to GoPro. My only comment is that low light and night shots are not up iPhone X quality, but better than most. Well worth the $500!.Version: 1.5.3

PerfectHaving the ability to shoot video of everything going on around me in high-quality without exerting any effort other than pressing record on the camera is an absolutely amazing experience. Using the app to put together a video exactly the way I want it is awesome too. Without Rylo you would need a bunch of equipment and a lot of experience to even try to come close, not to mention you would have to solely be focused on what you’re filming. With Rylo now I can put together amazing shots without missing a second of the actual moment.Version: 1.4.4

Still no iPad appFirst off, the camera is great. Really great. On to the app: For what it does, it works well and its pretty stable. You can open a video, edit the viewpoints, and save it. But otherwise the app is very basic, lacks some basic usability and information that would be great to see. It’s like someone’s summer project, like a Proof of Concept without finishing touches. The file naming is GUID based and so you’re really stuck with the app to manage files. The lack of updates is frustrating, and there’s STILL no iPad app. It would be great to have a native iPad app that could read and store rylo files in the Files app. Maybe someday?.Version: 1.6.2

Incredible app and hardwareI just got my Rylo in time for a summer trip to Europe and South America. I made sure to buy it a few days early to be able to test it out and decide whether to keep or return it. After just a few short clips and editing in-app it’s very clear I’ll be keeping the camera. I absolutely LOVE it! The software is just incredible; (a) it’s solid, very stable and reliable which is SO important, and (b) it’s intuitive and quick. Please keep up the good work! And thank you so much for an awesome product :).Version: 1.6.2

I’ll change to 5 stars when there’s a remoteI LOVE my Rylo 360! The Rylo app is great for managing and editing the content too. My only complaints are 1) No class C USB = can’t use my iPad Pro. 2) No Apple Watch app and no wireless remote option = limits mounting options on my motorcycles and kayaks to where you can reach the camera or phone. I’d LOVE to be able to control the camera with a stand alone remote (waterproof), my Apple Watch, or even my GoPro remote (least likely I’m sure).Version: 1.6.2

WowThe new update to the editing software is impressive! With no download required to my phone prior to making edits it’s like I’m working with a powerful non-destructive editing program on my computer, and saving a tone of space on my phone. Partway through editing a video yesterday my Rylo ran out of battery...I thought the edits would be gone, but nope! As soon as I juiced up the rylo and plugged it back into my phone the edits were still there..Version: 1.4.3

Incredible productRylo is an incredible product on its own. I love the frequent updates to add great new features. Thrilled to find out there’s an ipad app now! I wish the lens of the adventure case didn’t scratch so easily but it is what it is. Trust me, pair this with an Oculus Go and you’ll wow your friends. I’ve had friends view my Alaska helicopter video and instinctively reach for the hand rails on takeoff as your brain is so thoroughly fooled. Keep going Rylo!.Version: 1.5.1

Easy to use, would love one additional featureThis app is super easy to use and it’s a breeze to frame your shots after you shoot. I’d love to have a dedicated time lapse feature built into either the app or the camera itself. As it is now, it can be very time consuming (and battery draining) to export 5+ minute videos so if there was an easier way to make timelapses, I would be ecstatic!.Version: 1.5.3

Love itToo bad Vsco bought Rylo effectively killing off any software development. Regardless, the app still works with my iPhone and quite well..Version: 1.6.2

Camera has promiseThe camera has promise, but isn’t quite there yet. It lacks editing capabilities like the Theta V, Insta360 One/X and other cameras have, such as ISO control, HDR, better app control like being able to set points for going in and out of tiny planet mode during video export, sharpening, noise reduction, dynamic range, etc. At $499, the camera and software should be able to do more than it does currently, especially when its competitors have already implemented these features some time ago..Version: 1.5.2

Absolutely the bestAfter buying many go pros and trying to find a use for them, I have finally found a camera that is fun, easy to use, and really captures the moment. Only problem is it turns off above 6Gs😎.Version: 1.2.2

A Revolutionary Team...Thank you Rylo team for this Amazing camera... The app can get some updates thru time, like the features everyone wants. But definitely great app and camera stabilization 100%!.Version: 1.1.2

Great packaging but app keeps freezingI haven't even gotten a chance to look at my footage yet because the app keeps freezing on the intro steps. When I get to the follow the action/force touch step my app freezes. Rebooting and updating the app doesn't solve the issue..Version: 1.1.0

Great camera and applicationOverall satisfied with both camera and app!!! Wish I was able to remotely activate with the Apple Watch!.Version: 1.6.2

Best action camera in worldWhat can I say really good hope more software update from Rylo though..Version: 1.6.2

Needs improvementOverall I love this camera, but photo and video quality is not great in comparison to GoPro. Also, wish I could do a video clip from 360 photo..Version: 1.1.0

Pretty Slick- wish there was an iPad app.Since it’s app-based editing, it’d be great if I could do this on my iPad pro without dealing with an iPhone version of the app..Version: 1.1.2

Was more perfect earlierFirst: I absolutely love this camera and the software. It’s fantastic. The sole reason why I can’t give it a five star review is because of a recent update which changed the way the front-back feature works. It used to be that when I framed the front back, it did not move. On one of the more recent releases, it seems that the front back now moves along with the internal Gyroscope. So, where as before I used to set and forget the front-back. Now I have to constantly set the shot again and again depending on how the camera has turned even though the relationship between the camera and the front back shot is unchanged. My YouTube channel “Peter Kay living in Hawaii” is 100% Rylo produced and you can see how the front back used to work. I hope in future versions you can address this. It’s created a lot more production time for me now..Version: 1.6.2

Amazing camera and way better than any competitor out there!Love my Rylo! One of the best buys I’ve made!.Version: 1.3.0

Great cameraThis is an awesome camera for action sports and generic recording. I also really like the app!.Version: 1.1.1

FixedWorks well!.Version: 1.0.1

RyloLove the app. Gave it 3 stars though, because the camera does not sync with the app on my ipad pro. Only my phone. 👎🏽.Version: 1.6.2

IPad Pro Love?IPad Pro Love? Great hardware and app, please update this app so it’s iPad Pro friendly! Thanks!.Version: 1.2.3

Love this cameraTo be honest I was very skeptical at first. I have the theta S for a few years and the video on it is so bad, even though it was one of the best consumer 360 camera for awhile. I also have a session and a GoPro 3 Black which shoots some decent stuff. When looking to upgrade my “action / family” cam, I had a hard time deciding between GoPro 6 or VIRB ultra and Rylo. Especially after seeing some not good quality video samples put out by Rylo themselves on their YouTube channel back in November. Since VIRB didn’t update this year, I took a chance and bought both Rylo and the GoPro 6. Long story short, I’m more than surprise with the video quality of the Rylo (as a 1st gen product) and after two months, I have been using it exclusively to capture some mountain biking, skiing/snowboarding and got some very cool shots. My GoPro 6 is still in the box unopened after 2 months. I’m not a professional and this is perfect for family home video needs..Version: 1.1.1

Awesome appGreat camera - shocking people with my footage / enjoying using my Rylo camera and app.Version: 1.2.2
