Good not great. Needs more accurate translationI really do like this app and has given me a new found appreciation of pagans. So much beauty and wisdom in this writing. My only gripe is with the translation. It’s 10 times worse than the King James Bible in old English and when I have to do some research and go to an academic source sometimes the stanza is even wrong along with a wack translation. Don’t downloadThe other purchases must have been the developers. First, the developers develop apps for other religions like Buddhism... Which is fine, but just know that your purchase isn’t supporting a heathen. Secondly, the app itself is terrible. The quotes (stanzas) get repeated constantly, I get notifications for my “daily Havamal” more than once a day and at odd times, and the stanzas are translated in such a rudimentary way that I couldn’t understand what was being said if I haven’t already read the Havamal. And I paid for it.I appreciate finding anything of Heathenistic nature. I had a bit of money one day and bought the app thinking it’d be stimulating. After a week, I’m just over it. Waste.Save your money. This isn’t a pocket guide at all and what this app offers can easily be solved by following fb pages that offer a stanza a day. What WOULD make this worth it’s money is mentioning what “chapter” a stanza comes from ie-wisdom for wandered and guests, lessons for lovers, etc, maybe offering some anecdotal interpretations of the stanzas and also including the stanzas in their original language.
