One of the easiest ways to become a happier person is to experience more sunlight every day. Skylight can help make that happen through a beautiful app experience designed for everyone.

Create a routine around sunrise every morning. Remind yourself to step out at solar noon for a sun break. Take better photos by shooting during Golden Hour. Start getting outside to see the sunset more. Gain a better sense of sunlight lost and gained through the seasons and adjust your routine to make sure you get enough light. Motivate yourself through the winter months by reminding yourself that days are getting longer. The uses are endless but the goal is the same - better living through more sunlight.

Skylight includes a universal app for iPad and iPhone, an Apple Watch app with complications, and three widgets. The Apple Watch complications show you how much sunlight is left in the day, or when upcoming events like Golden Hour are taking place. The complications are a beautiful addition to the watch face and offer one of the most effective ways to use the app. The Today Widget shows you the app information in a quick, glanceable form, so daylight info is always at your fingertips, either in your Today view or with a 3D Touch on the app icon.

Features include:
- Beautiful fluid visual display showing the position of the sun over time.
- Comprehensive notifications & alarms for daily and yearly sun events.
- Three different configurable widgets: Year Graph, Daylight Graph, and Gradient.
- Apple Watch app and complications with daylight clock and events.
- Year view, showing the entire year's daily sun events with a simple drag of your finger.
- Detailed event views, describing each sun event and showing the earliest and latest. dates on which it occurs.
- Date picker to see sun information from dates in the past or future.
- Location picker to see sun events and graphs for anywhere on earth.
- Multiple time modes, including specialized modes for photography and science.
- Support for all display sizes and device orientations.
- Spotlight support, so you can just type "Golden Hour" from your phone's home screen to pull up today's info.
- Skylight can optionally use GPS in the background to ensure notifications are correct even if you change location.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Great App!This app presents solar activity for the day and year in graph format. I find it very useful. For one thing, I did not realize the difference in sunrise and sunset variation during the year; morning hours do not fluctuate as much as evening. Also, day length is not evenly balanced, so the sun continues to rise later even after it begins setting later with lengthening days. Who knew? Another thing I like is seeing the return of daylight day by day. I see it with my eyes of course but it’s helpful for awareness to also see it in a graphic format. I check the year graph widget daily..Version: 2.1

I love thisI find it a real drag when the sun goes down. It's so nice to see a simple little complication showing how much "energetic time" there is left in the day before it starts to feel like the day's over..Version: 1.0.4

Missing a lot placeI live this app but there’s a lot missing small town on search bar can you fix it?.Version: 1.3

Very HelpfulPerfect for my real estate business. I can know when it is too late to take exterior pictures, and time my appointments accordingly..Version: 1.0.4

Apple Watch 4Love the added complications! I can finally put you back on my watch..Version: 1.3

Not accurate timesI love this app and hope they fix this , the times is not accurate in my location and its sometimes 3 minutes difference , i live in kuwait city hope u fix this..Version: 1.1

Love this app! It's so inspirational! I love knowing every day we get a little more sunlight in our lives, and I never miss sunset anymore..Version: 1.0.4

Love it!I like to travel, and I use this app all the time to help me plan my travels. For my trip to Iceland, it really helped me plan for the best daylight times..Version: 1.0.4

Absolutely the most beautiful I’ve foundI’ve been meaning to say this for a while now, but typically don’t write reviews. However, having gone through a few other apps that claim to provide similar information, I struggled to use them because they all had these horribly ugly “color wheels” that are so hard to even read. What you have done with this app is stunningly beautiful! More natural colors of the sun’s position (instead of just hideous oranges) AND you’ve done it in a way that makes total sense! In fact, I wish I could use your widgets as the background of my watch! Unfortunately, I have so much info on there already, it would all get lost in your app!! LOL Thank you, so much for creating what is the most beautiful, informative and easy to understand app about the sun’s daily and annual cycles. And for doing it for the Watch, too! I’m amazed at how many developers just don’t seem to know or care that the Watch exists. I use it as much as my iPhone, and would use it much more if more developers like you took the time to do what you have done. Unfortunately, it seems like 90% of Watch apps are all fitness crap things. You have done more than create a wonderfully amazing app for the Watch. You’ve proven that there can be more to a Watch app than “did I drink water? Or “ how many steps did I take?” The Watch can be an intellectual an educational tool for so much more in the world. Personally, I don’t give a darn about how many steps or drinks of water I’ve had because I already did all that naturally before the Watch or iPhone even came along. If you’re too stupid to drink enough water, you should probably re-examine your life, not buy an app. THIS APP TAKES IT ALL TO AN INTELLECTUAL LEVEL IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL WAY, I BELIEVE EVEN STEVE JOBS WOULD HAVE BEEN PROUD. Thank you, again, for the thought, effort, time and whatever else you’ve put into this app. It is actually one of (now) 4 apps which have kept me from trashing my Apple Watch as a waste of time and money. Thank you!! I have to say it again. I just can’t help it. You chose awesome colors for this app! I was using Sundial, because I really liked the watch complication, but the developer stopped the Watch app. :p Then I found SolarWatch, and while I liked the idea, the color wheel thing is HORRIBLE! Painful to look at. This app, Skylight, not only does what the others did, but you made it enjoyable to use. Seriously, the guy who wrote SolarWatch and thought a large widget of just that wheel thing was a good idea! That’s pretty much when I trashed it for good. LUCKILY, I had already found your app and only use it now. I honestly like looking at my iPhone more. Just thought you’d like to know!.Version: 1.5

Awesome App!I've been searching around for an App that does just, what this App does! But couldn't find anything satisfying thru all the Weather Apps, etc., I had checked out! This App is great for avid Sun-gazers like myself, as Sungazing is done in first & last hour(s) each day So I'll be recommending this App to all my Subs, etc., on YouTube and others that enjoy Sungazing! p.s - the Earth is Flat!! your science or . explanation for the Yearly events is . nothing more than paired-science . and being badly indoctrinated, . brainwashed into false beliefs . hahaha, it's all good! Flat Earthers are growing in numbers constantly and we're not going to go away, stop or be quiet about this, so just curious If you had any FE'ers on board and would possibly make a more realistic outlook, explanation for the seasons, etc., With graphics to match for the many Flat Earthers, we'd Love that and I for one, works but that version and really be "pushing" that version, if it was ever made toa whole slew of enlightened ppl, hahaha, hope no one gets too offended as many "globers" tend to take this information add some kind of personal attack, Lol, it's not! It's knowledge that's been hidden from us for decades, longer so... the Sun travels in circles above the circular Flat Earth PlaneT, moving in and out the tropics of Cancer and Capricorn, it never goes below the horizon as there is No actual curvature, once you look into it, the only curvature you'll ever see is from Fake CGI images and Go Pro Cameras which will curve both ways, which makes no sense at all, it'll curves rooms, etc, as well as the Earth when being used to film The Sun goes out of our perspective, moving farther away, like the vanishing point, ya know like in Art class? That's why it's not visible 24/7 Not sure this review, the whole thing will make the "grade" type thing, I hope so! I'm still recommending this App, just a thought🙂 thanks!.Version: 1.0.4
