Issues that I didn’t anticipateSo this app is pretty good for what it is. I enjoy using it when I can’t find my remote. However, there are some flaws with it that I haven’t really seen in the comments. I bought these lights for myself and my brother. Our rooms are right next to each others. And while in theory it’s nice that you can see both sets of lights on one app, in one place, it’s also quite annoying. It automatically connects you to both systems. If I had these lights just for myself I’d be thrilled. But when I’m trying to turn on the light in my room and my brothers lights are going haywire- not so fun. It gets even more frustrating when I’m just minding my business and suddenly my room turns green because my brother is still connected to the wrong set. I think there should be a way to forget a set of lights from a device. Or at least make you choose what you want to be connected to every time you open the app. Also, the music feature is pretty bland. I don’t mind it, I just think you need to include a speed bar like there is in the microphone section, so the extreme sensitivity doesn’t give anyone seizures. Lastly, it wouldn’t hurt to have some more features instead of the normal fades and flashing. But that’s probably a big ask for a more future product. Good enoughI like the lights very much but I had some issues with the app. The app settings aren’t very specific. For example when you ask for help it only gives you two options to choose from. The tape section of the app was very confusing. It says tape so you would think it records and saves the sound you tape. Like the other reviews mentioned the music feature doesn’t really work. You are only allowed to play music you have purchased from the Apple store, not any music you have downloaded on your phone. Plus on my app it didn’t have dream mode like the instructions said. The instructions just show you what the features are, not how to use them. Plus I think the app should also come with virtual instructions for the remote. The instructions on the app could be way more specific. The product is good enough for what you want it for but the extra features the app claims to have don’t work. Connecting roomsA problem I experienced was that once you let this app access your Bluetooth, (if you have any other LED that is the exact same as yours nearby) then once you turn the power button on both LEDs turn on. I found a solution though,I just had to keep on working with the app to find out. Ok so once you hit the main menu(top left corner) you can see there are 2 or more connections that are not labeled; if you select one and go back to the main menu and play with the power button you can see which LED is which. Once you try this both LEDs will still turn on together but once you start changing the colors only one of them willchange colors. If your LEDs aren’t changing colors just like I said earlier change to the other connection in the main menu. Last thing let’s say in the next room your siblings or family are sleeping and you don’t want to wake them up by turning on your LEDs, all you have to do is turn your LEDs on with YOUR remote and then select your connection on the app make sure it’s yours; then you can connect them with any color you want without waking them up or turning their LEDs on. Best app everI use the LED lights that this app manages and god it’s so easy and clever. I first bought only one box of LEDs and liked it so bought second a few days later. As part of first strip installation it quickly recognised the device and paired without me doing anything as soon as I installed the app. It can give you the colour you want (as it lets you chose color from spectrum), you can pair with your phone or the LED device mic to match the pattern of lights with music being played in the room, you can chose any other standard pattern, turn on or off the lights. After buying and installing the second LED strip, I originally thought I’ll have install this app on second phone but no.... the second strip was automatically added to this app and I can manage the pattern, blinking, color, music sync all with one app and on both LEDs all together at once. I can chose the app to switch off one strip and leave the second one on. It’s brilliant. Awesome Light AND App too!I don’t understand what everybody is griping about?! Most reviewers appreciate the quality of of the lights. However, the majority claim the app is crap. On the contrary, it does a awesome!! Perhaps, problems arise because of the IPhone model. I own a iPhone 7Plus and the Happy Lighting app works seamlessly with my iPhone. Another major complaint o ran across is that you cannot turn off the light unit. You’d have to be a bonehead not to notice the circular icon in the top-center of the app This is the on/off switch. Green = On, Gray = Off. Tap the darn icon to see for yourself. Another reviewer claims the light randomly turns on by itself! I never had this problem, but, common sense tells me, after you turn the light off with your app, pull the plug. If it still turns on, quit smoking so much weed or consider the possibility a playful ghost resides in your house. Suggestion for the Developer: Your instructions manual is MUCH TOO VAGUE. Amazing app, just a few suggestionsReally great app, I just have a few suggestions. 1. Make the rename feature save when using the app. What I mean is I will name a device but once I close out of the app and open it again, it will default to its original name. 2. Maybe add even more customization to the timing section so that when it turns on at a certain time, it has rainbow pulsating or red pulsating at this level of brightness. 3. Add a feature where you can customize the lights to flash on at certain times so you could make your own style of lights. For example, you could click a record button and then whatever color and brightness you set it too, it will record and save. 4. Adding custom audio to the music section would be really cool. You could upload something from your camera roll and it would light up to the volume and audio of the video. Overall, this is a really great app and these features would make it even cooler. App is fine -uploading music explained-I got this app after I purchased led strip lights a few days ago to control them from my phone. I’ve had no real problems controlling the color, brightness, and pattern of the lights from the app. However, the developer is a little misleading when it comes to uploading your music from Apple Music on to the app. From how it’s worded, you should be able to allow the app to access your Apple Music media files and voila all your downloaded music should appear in the music tab on the app. This is not the case. It doesn’t upload music you’ve downloaded using an Apple Music subscription, it uploads music you’ve purchased from the iTunes Store. So all music you’ve purchased and downloaded all your phone will display on the app once you allow it to access your Apple Music files, but it won’t display any music not purchased. I’m sure everyone would be much happier if the developer found a way to allow music downloaded through a Apple Music subscription to upload on the happylighting app :).SaucySlothVersion: 4.4.5

Good but could be betterThat app it’s self works very well for what it’s worth. However, there is one main problem of it constantly disconnecting from my phone, i am the only person in my house with LED anything which mean i am the only one able to connect so i’m not sure why it disconnects randomly. also it would be that big of a problem but it usually takes 10-30 minutes to reconnect and this past time they disconnected over 24 hours ago and still haven’t reconnected and i’m not quite sure what to do about that. the other problem doesn’t really bother me that much but can still be rather annoying, and that is the music aspect of the app. it only girlie you three songs and you don’t even get to pick them. and the songs that it gave me really aren’t my taste, but as o said it doesn’t bother me that much but i know it does bother others. that’s why i added it in here..Katalena NVersion: 4.7.2

Only a few issues, otherwise it’s really good.So, I got LED strip lights 2 days ago, and it said that I can download this app to use whith them. So, here are my problems with this app: 1) Apple Music doesn’t (fully) work with the app. I saw this in another review, but they made it *slightly* better now. The biggest issue is that it will only show 1 album that you have at a clip. And, it doesn’t link with your the Apple Music app. Now, I’m not sure if that’s simply something they haven’t implemented yet or what. But it would be nice to just be able to press play straight from Apple Music, and have this app link it up to the lights. 2) The “Shake” feature doesn’t work when it supposed to, and works when it’s not supposed to. Okay, so I was having issues with this and while I was looking at other reviews, the lights would just suddenly change when I even slightly moved my phone. And when I had the app open, I wouldn’t always work when I actually *would* shake my phone. 3) “Dream Mode” isn’t showing up. So in the initial instructions, there is a part of the app that you can use called “Dream Mode.” Except, I don’t have that. It’s good but....I think this is amazing app, but there are a few thing i would add/change. The first thing i would add/change is about the custom colors. The first thing would be that there should be more slots to make more custom colors. Also the colors should save untill unsaved or changed by the user. I also think that we should be able to name the custom colors we make. It would be really cool. Another thing i would add/change about this app is the music. I think you should be able to add and search songs to play all the songs you like. Also i think you should be able to make your own pattern and colors for the led light to play with the music of your chose. 4-5 starsThis app is good, but the led lights are broken, like when i first got them they were perfectly normal and then after a few weeks after i got the m they wouldn't be on the color i wanted it to. For example, when i click green, one side of the led lights will be light up green and the other side will be another color. Same with cyan, one side of the room will be cyan and the other will be dark blue. I really think you should fix this because i really am not liking and not pleased with it. But overall, the app works well, i just wish the lights had more designs in the lights. But thats fine. Connecting roomsThe app is really great overall! It has certain aspects that the remote does not have such as the custom colors and the ability to change the speed of the lights if you choose to make them flash. However, my brother wanted these lights in his room so I got them but his were suddenly connected to mine. After troubleshooting, my brother soon notices that there was a chain next to the name of the lights; so, once we figured out the names of our lights we just clicked the chain so that we could not control each others lights which was perfect! I think this should be in the manual though because it can take a while to notice. Great App but needs to fix somethingsThe app is great and i absolute love my LED lights. I bought a set just for me and installed it in my room and everything was perfect, until i bought another for my cousins room. The app automatically connected both LED lights to whatever phone is using the app and we can’t both change our lights at the same time. The other person has to completely exit the app in order for the other to use it. Also we try to name each light to know which one is which but the name always keeps changing back. There should be a way for our phone to only connect to the LEDS we want instead of all the ones in range. Needs some adjustmentsOverall, the app is amazing. it’s simple and easy to use. connecting and finding the app for my LED lights was hard. the only way i got the app specifically for my lights is because my roommate had these lights, so i already had the app installed. if i hadn’t, i have no clue how i would have found the app. secondly, i recommend letting the users change the brightness of the different styles (pulsing rainbow, pulsing red, etc). lastly, i wish there was a way to make more custom colors on the strip lights itself. i love the new customization feature, but i feel like it’s just new buttons for the wheel of color. the color itself does not change much, so i don’t see why the new color customizer (where you can generate how much of which primary color you want in your lights) is there..Nicolex303Version: 4.7.0

Good App that needs some improvementsI’ve had no real problems using this app but I do wish there were more modes available and some improvements to features already available. One mode I’m particularly interested in would be a Red/Blue jumping one since there is a pulsing mode with these 2 colors. I think there should also be a better way to look for your music currently you have to scroll for a long time if you have a lot of music added, a search function would be nice and there is no way to add songs into a queue which is really disappointing. There’s a few more features I’d like added to get a better overall experience but I can’t remember them off the top of my head. Not badSo we got these triones lights for the hotel outer lights and the problem I’m having is we have 15 fixtures and the app only allows connection to 6-8 at a time…..so I’m new to the app and I’m trying to change all 15 to blue and I have two I can not connect to for some reason (I’ve unlocked all but four options and still it just won’t connect) when they were installed they never wrote down which lights were where but that’s a user issue not your fault lol ended up being a which light is which game on the list of 15 ….not a fun thing to figure out lol Wish there was an easier way to separate the set so u can access it easier. I like it, but it has some problemsI really enjoy being able to change the color of my lights through the app, but I have a problem. My brother has these lights too and has the app, he also is in a room not too far from me so the lights connect to eachother. I manage to disconnect from his but if I close the app It reconnects both of the lights again, and changing them can be a pain. When I go to "Group Manage" it pops up both of our light names under a group. I click "Add" or the "+" sign. And yet it makes another so called "group". If there is a way to add my lights that I connect to. 😍Love this app and the ability to use it if I can not find my remote. I love that the music goes with and the flashes. Wish that I would be able to upload my own music and use it. Maybe I have to have Applemusic or music downloaded to my phone, which I do not. I seen a comment about two different rooms and lights flashing at the same time when one room does not want the flashing. On the top left you click on my device, there will be two or how many ever lights within reach of the remote. You click on one to see which one belongs to which room and disable. Lights not workingThe app worked just fine for me until 2 days ago. I was trying to turn on my LED lights but it didn’t work. I tried unplugging it and plugging it up, connecting it to another outlet and it didn’t work. I’ve had my LED lights for almost a year and this has never happened. It was really unexpected because the day before it was working just fine. I researched other reasons on why it wasn’t able to turn on but nothing works. There’s nothing wrong with my outlets because it still works, I just don’t know how to fix it. LED ReviewI absolutely LOVE this app, all of the buttons work and all of the controls work. You can change the color, you can even shake your phone to the beat and the LEDS will match with the movement, you can connect to Bluetooth and play your own music and the LEDS will go to the beat of the music you picked. You can even change the color from your phone and make your own color that is not on the remote, for example the color pink is not on the remote but on the app you can turn it to any color or shade of pink you would like! Great lights, bad appThe actual lights I got from Happy Lighting are so extremely good quality. They are very fun to play with all the settings and are overall just nice. Despite this, the app is terrible. It is good that you can adjust some things and make everything more precise, but it so so poorly made. You can’t sync your music easily, the way it’s built overall is awful, it looks low budget, so many things to control on the app is vague, and worst of all - OTHER PEOPLE CAN CONNECT TO THEM! The Bluetooth system in the app is so awful. Coming from a real-life programmer, all of these issues are easily fixable with just a little bit more effort. Happy-lighting ReviewHi, although I love these LED lights I have a couple critiques. I feel like there should be MORE colors!!! In other brands if LED lights you can create your own colors and use a pallet to make your own color but the only colors we have are green yellow and red because blue doesn’t even work! The only thing we can do is make our color lighter or darker. I would also appreciate if we had a realistic white color?? Now for my next critique I think we shouldn’t be limited to three songs to sync our lights with. The tape setting, when your listening to music thru your sounds system or Bluetooth speaker, is absolute trash…. The 4 setting choices under the tape section have very little if any difference in what they do and the speed adjustment for them also doest change much. Had higher expectations but still pretty good.When I got this I thought that the tape button would make the lights flicker to the beat of the song but it just flickered when there was sound, it would honestly be so much cooler if it would flicker to the beat of my song. There should also be a bunch of different modes for the tape button when you use the phone mic, there should be the soft disco and all the modes that the device mic has. App sometimes stops working have to download againTo install new music go to the ITunes Store. There is a trick to this. For the new music to show up listed in the app, you have to delete the app then reinstall it. Kind of annoying to have to do this for each new song. The software is very responsive to the music. Cool feature. Sometimes the app stops responding to the light and you might need to delete and download again. This might be due to not being used for a while? Subpar BT appPurchased these at Marshall’s with a name brand of Simply TECH. Looked nice on the box. They are usb plug in with a controller before light strip with a Simply TECH sticker with wiring info and a model number. HOWEVER, the controller is manufactured by Happy Lighting. I have had a few of these Happy Lighting controllers and not a single one has worked for more than 3 months. This controller must be the cheapest they make as the style lighting is TERRIBLE and you can not change any settings as you can on more LED light strips of today. The music setting would be nice except it will read the titles and artist info but will NOT play a single song from my play list or from Apple Music. The light strip is actually a nice quality with water proof covered LED lights. They are soft and flexible but will probably become brittle if mounted outside. Not an issue if you don’t move them later. The adhesive on the back of the strip states it is genuine 3M 300 LSE tape so I’ll expect the strip lights to adhere well to the item I choose to install them on. So a great LED lighting strip with an extremely TERRIBLE usb phone user interface made by Happy Lighting. For $6 the LED light strip of 15’ is okay price. I’ll have to purchase another controller that is reliable and can be programmed beyond the horrible built in non programmable style settings. What’s the point of the music option??The app works fine. But there is literally no point to the music option that it has. First of all it only works with songs that are downloaded onto your phone. So it is not compatible with any streaming service. Even though probably about 99% of people nowadays exclusively use streaming for the music on their phone. And even if you are one of the few people who actually download a Albums off of iTunes or wherever. It’s not gonna work unless you hook your phone up to your computer and go in and change the settings on the phone and manually sync the music with the app. It isn’t able to just access your music library, you have to manually allow and connect it. The amount of effort that you have to go through in order to make that option work makes it practically nonsensical. Just make it so that the app automatically syncs to the media player on the phone so it’ll sync to all audio played on the through phone. Not a drug user .The lights are bright and worked great for a while but , as stated in another review , even if you use the green icon to turn the lights off they will turn themselves back on . Police don’t care if you explain your symptomatic problem or demonstrate it to them . They will simply fine you for having lights other than amber or white in you halo which brings me to my next complaint . If you select a color such as amber ( apparently you can’t select white only ) the program randomly assigns a color it likes better . I bought those lights so I could run an amber light and it would blink when I turned on my turn signals for purposes of safety I instead have multi colored lights that blink when I turn the turn signal on . Worst of all try to reach the company impossible . I have tried to unhook the connector that supplied power to the halos . No use they still engage when using torn signals . I now have to order new lights because these will get me fined ..AGAIN ... or get me a distracted driving ticket for fighting this program with my phone while driving . GREAT lights. Terrible app.Ok so i just got my ksipze happy lights and let me just say i am VERY pleased with the product itself. It actually exceeded my expectations. It gets way brighter than i thought, and i love how you can actually adjust the brightness (very easily). The remote is a superstar. I thought i would be barely using it (in favor of the app on my phone), but i was quickly proven wrong. It does the bare minimum, albeit not much that the remote doesn’t aside fron the color wheel. HERE are my problems with this app: -There is no ability to save my own custom presets? Why this is not a feature is beyond me.. -No Undo and Redo buttons -The Music Sync feature is WAYYY too busy. Like seizure-provoking busy. Regardless of which song i put on. I’d assume a “Sensitivity” slider would be a good fix for this. -And much more… this app is terrible. BluetoothOverall the app isn’t the best. The music option shows the music but when I click on it, it doesn’t play anything at all. When I switch to a different section of the app it shuts off my led lights for no reason and only the color wheel thing will turn them back on again. Some of the other stuff in the app don’t even work good either. The option to pick a color from one of your photos you have on your phone is cool but it barley even works. Any photo I do it just changes the tone of white even if the photo is blue or purple. Even though I don’t use the mic/sound option it still doesn’t work that good either. It delays it and makes it longer than it should have been. If you snap into it, it will go on for like another 3 snaps. Don’t use in an officeDoesn’t work for an office application where each person has their own and wants to control them individually. The app auto-selects everything it discovers every time you open it, so it’ll default to controlling everyone’s unless you manually deselect them. Even after you DO deselect the other devices, clicking the Power button causes *all* discovered devices to turn off, which seems like a bug. The app does supposedly let you set a password for each device, but it seems like that is not possible for most of the controllers that we got (the “Triones:” model); it just says “Currently unable to set password.” Even if you have a model that allows a password, it appears that since the app auto-selects all discovered devices, it will present a password popup for all devices every time you open it. My lights stopped working after 3-4 daysI set up my lights and they worked perfectly amazing. Then they would have a little trouble to turn them off, after the next day. So I switched to use the app as the remote. Then the next day, out of no where my lights stopped working and turned multi colored (they still are multi colored and don’t work with all colors till this day). It also depends on what color it is to be able to show on the lights aswell. For example if I try to put any type of blue it will LITERALLY not show up and be blank (only a small little piece shows up of the actual color in one specific area which was extremely weird.) The only colors that seem to work for me are red, orange which turns up as yellow, and green. Every other color doesn’t work on my lights. The happy lighting appIt was good for the first two days. I bought two of them, one for me and one for a friend in the house. After 5 days of having it set up on my wall when I would go to use the app it would connect to her lights. So when I went to change my color it wouldn’t change it would only change hers. It’s was the other way around with her. She could change my lights with her app. Instead of me changing my own lights with my app. So now I’m stuck with using the remote, which is fine but I would’ve liked to use the app so I wouldn’t have to get up when watching a show just to turn them off. Connects When It wantsUsually when my Bluetooth is paired I have to press on and off about two times, before it actually works. Ex:when I first press it, it will still be off when it says on and vice versa. The Bluetooth just connects when it wants to. Like currently I turned my lights on, now that I am ready to turn off, the Bluetooth won’t establish a connection, so I’m stuck with the lights on and no way to turn off. I have been waiting at least 30 minutes with my car running trying to connect the bluetooth. The app and syncing.Maybe this is my fault, but I highly doubt it. The app is super confusing. It’s like it has everything you don’t need. To elaborate, I wanted to set an alarm on my clock, and it was difficult because the clock was set to military time. The app nor the instructions say anything about changing that. One day, it just magically changed to regular time. And even then, it doesn’t always sync properly. It used to, but as of recently, it’s 1-2 minutes ahead and I can’t fix it because there is nothing to tell me how to change the time to that. PotentialWell this has a potential to be a really cool lighting system, it fails in some of the basics. I want to be able to dim each separate color and Dim the different styles of lighting features. They are okay...First let’s talk about the actual lights not the app. So I put my lights up all excited about them because everyone had LED’s and I finally got mine. I left them up in the same spot for a few months but we had to move my room around since we were going to repaint our house. Long story short, I now have huge holes in my wall and dry wall ripped off the concrete base because the sticky part of the lights are to sticky. Could you guys maybe put a warning next time? Of how sticky the lights are, I even accidentally ripped a strand of lights in half because it wouldn’t come off my ceiling. My favorite feature is broken :/This app does nOt deserve 1 star (realistically, a 3 or 4), but I’m trying to get the developers attention because I couldn’t find another place to do it. I used to be able to set each light’s color individually (by only connecting to one at a time) and then adjust their brightness all at once when I reconnect them all. But now if I set the different colors, all lights reset to the same color as my most recent change as soon as I touch the brightness slider. I’d love for this little glitch to be fixed so I can go back to properly controlling the lights during movie nights! It would also be amazing to have the option to fade between two colors (possible over a user-set time) instead of jumping to them when you select the color.
