MEATER® Smart Meat Thermometer App Comments & Reviews

MEATER® Smart Meat Thermometer Positive Reviews

Take all guess work out of cooking!!!How can a company possibly make a thermometer look sexy? I didn’t know it was possible but damnit they did it. This thing is amazing. Honestly amazong is an understatement- more like revolutionary. I’m actually taken aback. I have had several “digital thermometers” in the last but this ….this is in a completely different league. Besides being a conversation piece and is on display in our kitchen, when used with the app, it’s a complete powerhouse of metrics delivered instantly to you when you need it: ambient temp, target temp, internal temp, alarms for notifications, when to pull it off the heat for resting periods…it’s also filled with features. It has been 100% accurate so far and I’ve used it about a dozen times. It completely takes the guess work out of cooking. Firstly, no wires. That’s huge. Secondly, you can choose from pre-determined meat temp settings or do your own! There are presets for all kinds of meat amd fish. A countdown helps you gauge time and timers alert you when you’re not actively watching your phone. I could go on and on but the app itself is ROCK SOLID!.Version: 3.1.6

True wireless monitoring!I’ve been using the MEATER for a couple of weeks now, purchased shortly after I also purchased a new gas grill. The gas grill has a rotisserie and I wanted to be able to monitor internal meat temperature on my roasts without bothering with wires. The MEATER works perfectly for this! I find accurate internal meat temperatures, accurate estimated time to completion, and the convenience of being able to monitor the internal temperature inside my grill during cooking. All of this with the convenience of no wires and being able to use my phone application for monitoring all of the above. What a game changer! I have now used the MEATER to cook a whole turkey, a prime rib roast, and a pork shoulder on my gas grill using the rotisserie, and I couldn’t be happier with the probe and the app. Update: I continue to use and love the MEATER probe and phone app regularly, now going on 6 months. I have no complaints whatsoever and fine the device to be quite accurate. I purchase extra MEATER probes often as gifts for friends..Version: 1.5.2

Great cooking tooI was given a smoker and a Souvide water heater as presents. I used the device thermometers and my dishes came out good but I always wondered about how well the meats were cooked. I then decided I needed an internal thermometer that could withstand the rigors of being in the heat of the cooking session and decided, after some research, that the Meater was the best tool for this. Since I began using the Meater in smokers and Souvide cooking methods plus regular oven cooking, my dishes have stepped up to be the envy of my family. I enjoy watching the temperature graphs because it lets me see how the food is cooking. I also enjoy the “resting” phase of cooking since before Meater, it was a guesstimate. The other thing I enjoy is sharing the data with friends in the office at the water cooler. We can criticize and share recipes. One last thing. If using in smokers, take care to clean the end (with vinegar) or else the thermometer does not charge..Version: 3.1.4

Get the Meater plus, not the blockUpdate: After working with their support staff, I was able to update the block and since then, it’s worked much better and has only had an occasional disconnect. I love the idea of these and the consistency of meats I cook has been better than anything I’d ever done before. So if you have the block and it tells you to update the firmware, do it. And if it doesn’t work, contact their support staff and they’ll help you out. First review, before firmware update to block. The block works but is super frustrating because it constantly and randomly disconnects. The firmware update process always sparks hope, but never updates. Support staff are nice but still have not given me any solutions that make things better. Instead, I spend what seems like hours trying to get it to update and work properly, but so far, I’ve been unsuccessful. As soon as it starts working as advertised, I’ll submit another review or update this one. For now, I’m jus left feeling frustrated..Version: 2.4.1

The Meater+ A Pit Master's FriendThe Meater+ is a friend to a Pit Master. It accurately monitors internal and ambient temperatures of your cook. It is extremely easy to use and customer support has been outstanding to date. It is wireless so it is perfect for monitoring internal and ambient temperature when using a rotisserie. I use it all the time on my Large Big Green Egg when using The Joetisserie (fits Large Big Green Egg perfectly). The Meater+ tracks the temperature of the meat and ambient temperature flawlessly. And, I track it all from my IPhone. I can even track it on the go. For example, I had to run to the store during a two whole chicken rotisserie cook, and I was able to follow the temperatures and progress inside the store. I also use The Meater+ for perfectly cooked steaks and fish (especially salmon). I highly recommend The Meater+. The Meater+ is a great tool for a Pit Master's arsenal. I also have a Flame Boss 300 (highly recommend as well) which I use for extra long and slow smokes where I need the long hours control of temperature that is provided by The Flame Boss 300's ability to fan The Big Green Egg's Fire Box. I can literally keep my Large Big Green Egg at the same temperature for 18+ hours if needed. Together these two devices allow for any type of cook. Big Thumbs up for The Meater+.Version: 1.5

Great but could use some improvements for low and slow* I wish the time trend display had internal and ambient temperatures at the top. Target seems unnecessary. * I wish actual clock time was available when I touch the trend line, along with duration into cook. * my iphone doesn’t update the readings or alert unless the display is on, even though background app refresh is on. Might just be my phone *I hate it that the app automatically ends my cook as it approaches target. Sometimes I like to let it go a little over target to account for a temp drop that occurs when I unwrap the meat and put it back in the smoker to get a nice bark. This just confuses the app so it auto-ends my cook and I lose visibility and history before the actual end of the cook. *I wish I could set up a cook ahead of time with steps, estimated timing and other notes and then add observations throughout the cook and maybe a couple of photos during and after the cook. This is key to learning and improving the quality of my cooks..Version: 2.3.3

If you like something perfectly rare, this is way to avoid overshooting the MarkAND it accurately factors in "resting time" to insure maximum moisture. Otherwise "resting time" usually just turns the meat gray by the time you get around to cutting it. And there is more! If you sous-vide your meat the night before, you have to refrigerate it until the next day in the bag. How to get the center of that meat back the following day from fridge-temp to yesterdays rare-temp risks - once again -turning to meat bland and "medium"or worse!!! Using the MEATER inside the sous-vided meat, outside the bag inside a pan in the oven, allows you to get it back just to the right temperature to proceed outside the oven, with the blowtorch and still have it rare! Thanks for the awesome technology. Closest thing to Artificial Intelligence that I have - so far - found useful..Version: 4.1.1

Far Above ExpectationsThe Meater App in conjunction with the Meater Thermometer has far exceeded exceeded my expectations. The Meater has brought cooking out of the Stone Age as far as I’m concerned. Have had a Solair Infrared Grill for years which I couldn’t master accurate cooking results due to its intense heat. The Meater Thermometer along with the App has made cooking with it a no-brainer... The first time I used the Meater was cooking a Flank Steak on the Solair and it came out to perfection. Kept me informed as to the cooking progress and provided me with ammunition when attempting to justify to my Wife the necessary resting time. She had visual indication regarding all stages of the cooking progress. Used the Meater Thermometer the second time last night and again it blew me away to the point I ordered the Meater Block with 4 Probes. Will use the first on for our camping adventures..Version: 1.2.4

Keeps getting betterBetween the probe when it was first available at the start of it, I am thinking this is the best. I do a lot of smoked things as well, brisket, ribs, shoulders ext. thinking to myself get a couple of probes we’ll that’s when they came up with the blocks and pre order them. It seemed for ever to get it. I think I called once a month probably more. As always said working out the Kinks. Finally arrived and how great it was and the probe as well. 6-8 months down the road something was wrong with the block and would not hold a charge with the batteries. They asked me a couple of questions about the block and then said is this your current address still and just like that a brand new one was sent to me. The best of the best customer service. As well as the product..Version: 2.3.3

MEATER is excellent it the app holds its ownI’ve been using this app with the MEATER probe for a couple of years. We use it for every meat cook session we can both on the grill and the oven. While the probe is necessary to use the majority of the features, the app has recently added a masterclass section with recipes and tips that can be accessed without having the probe paired. However, the probe is a must to access most of the features. There are lower cost probes available and I’ve bought my share but the MEATER has outlasted all of them. Price wise is the same ballpark as similar quality probes so it’s not expensive when comparing apples to apples. I would definitely buy a MEATER probe before downloading this app..Version: 4.2.0

Disconnect’s a-lotFor the $$$ I expected better connectivity, no matter how it’s setup (BT,Cloud,Block,WiFi) it still disconnects a lot causing cooks to be off, most of the time mine does not even reconnect until I do it manually…for example I mowed my front lawn (50ft) total and the Block was outside with me I ended up overcooking one of the two $25(each) Pizmo Filets. The app never alerted me to the disconnect, upon checking the Block the probes in use were just spinning even tho the Block was 2-3ft from the grill…Almost $300 is alot for this product and considering I’ve lost a $25 Filet and $65 Roast…I utilize the WiFi option on my grill again now to avoid issues…I bought this to avoid wired probes but the wired ones and my grill have never failed plus I can truly connect to my grill without disconnects thru the grills app… Now for the APP layout itself it’s pretty great….Version: 2.9.1

Overcooks, low rangeBeen using this for about a year. If I take the meat off the grill and place on a cutting board to rest immediately upon the app telling me.... the meat will cook 10-15 degrees past my target internal temp every single time. I’ve unfortunately had to learn to just remove meat as I see fit, as the app’s predictive analytics are worthless. This is my biggest complaint. Apparently the app thinks meat carries over just 3 degrees while resting. Also frustrating is the lack of range when cooking. If you close the lid on even a standard Weber kettle grill, the phone has to be within 5ft (sometimes less) of the grill to work. Pretty much makes the MEATER useless for low and slow cooking. As for cooking hot and fast, well, 500 degrees is the ambient temp limit before potentially damaging the meater, so it’s useless for that as well. It seems this device was designed without grilling in mind. The range is decent when using with a glass door oven (the phone can be anywhere in the kitchen). If I’m being picky, I will also say that because the meater is so large, it can be a bit odd looking for presentation purposes when all your slices of steak or pork tenderloin have a pencil sized hole in them unless it’s convenient/possible to stick the probe in against the grain (not always possible depending on your cut)..Version: 2.0.5

I was not a fan, but I am becoming one!My family got me the MEATER as a gift last Christmas. I was not thrilled when I saw the size of the probes because I knew they would leave an enormous hole in my meat. Truthfully speaking, they do, and I would love to see improvements in that area. That withstanding, once I got past the probe size and started using the device I couldn’t have been more pleased. I appreciate not having to run wires through my smoker. I also appreciate how a single probe serves multiple purposes. A single probe can monitor the internal meat temperature as well as the ambient temperature of my smoker. That’s a big deal! One less probe to deal with, and most importantly, no wires! My advice.... Make smaller probes and you will make BBQ enthusiasts very happy!.Version: 2.5.1

Great productSo far, have cooked pork roast in the oven and chicken breasts on the grill. The chicken was the best I’ve ever done. Really like being able to walk away from the grill especially and still know what’s going on. The temp has been a few degrees lower than my Thermapen, which could be due to different placement in the meat. Looking forward to grilling a nice NY strip. My experience with the Bluetooth and WiFi has been great. I leave my phone or tablet near the cook and use the other to take with me. Both the cloud and meaterlink have worked great. I’d love to have different colors on the tips to help tell which is which. But, overall, I think this is a fantastic, creative invention that’s really making my life easier. Thanks!.Version: 1.3.1

AhhmazingSo my first cook was a couple of sirloin steaks that just wouldn’t thaw in the microwave without burning the edges. Yes I know how to properly thaw meat (overnight in the fridge), but this was a last minute meal. I told my wife, let’s let the meater tell us what we need to know…threw em away from the fire in the smoker with internal starting temp at 35F. Couldn’t believe my eyes, it took 24 minutes at around 300F in my pit. Came out perfect. Can’t believe I waited this long to invest. Doing those steaks trial and error would have been a nightmare. Can’t wait to do my first brisket with it - I’ve done about 30 briskets to date, and it’s always guesswork trying to maintain the fire. Not any more!.Version: 2.6.1

MEATER is very helpfulI’ve always battle with getting the meats cooked correctly and MEATER solves that problem, by getting the internal temperature perfect. One of the nicest things about the MEATER app is the ability to see the temperatures and cooking process on my iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. I usually set up the grill and the go about my chores while checking status on my watch. I can see meat temp, ambient temp and time to cook. The ambient temp is a big dead so as not to over or under heat the grill while cooking. The alert to remove the meat at the correct time to let it rest, gets the food close to perfection. MEATER has changed the way I grill and helped me do a better job..Version: 3.2.2

Thank you developers! The app experience is amazing! The only feedback that I have would be the option to adjust and continue a cook even after it is “Ready to Eat”. For example: I decided to cook my pork a little bit longer but the cook automatically ended since the original target temperature had already been met. Would it be possible to manually end/continue a cook? Also, the option to swipe left and right between probes when in the temperature graph view would be helpful. This would make it much easier for me to switch back-and-forth between temperature graphs. Thank you again!.Version: 2.11.0

Good but Annoying!Would have been 5 stars but it’s really annoying that every time I launch app it bugs me to signup for MEATER cloud. There were also 2 probe firmware updates last week that were required before I could start a cook. Nothing like putting your meat on the grill and launching your app only to discover you are being forced to do a firmware update that takes 10 minutes! Also after the probe firmware updates it seems meat is now being over cooked. It tells me to remove the move too late and it doesn’t seem that the resting stage ever ends anymore (seems to stay stuck at “almost there”). Please fix these issues and I’ll give you 5 stars!.Version: 1.5.3

Works great with one exception!!These probes are awesome. Grilled steak and chicken breasts turn out perfect. The only real gripe I have it the probe has ridiculously short range to your phone or tablet. You HAVE to use two devices and the cloud feature if I want to go in the house. The grill is 15 ft from where I sit in the house and it looses connection. I have to place my iPad in the kitchen window and bounce the signal to my phone. I know they have an extended range version but that’s just ridiculous for the price. **note** they were having a sale on the website so I bought two probes and they sync up perfectly with no issues..Version: 2.6.1

Product is great, support is betterI’ve been using my MEATER for almost 2 years now and it has improved my grilling game by a good amount. The MEATER is easy to use and makes even a bonehead like me seem like an expert. But that’s not what I’m writing this review about. I had some problems with my MEATER and let’s just say that it was probably my fault. I worked with Apption labs and after doing some debugging they sent me a brand new MEATER which is now working perfectly. I went from appreciation for the product to being a lifelong fan. If you’re thinking about getting this, just get it, you won’t regret it..Version: 2.11.0

Good product gone bad with a software updateWas great before post-thanksgiving 2022 update. Now I’m so disappointed. Bought the block years ago for me, another for my dad, convinced 3 others to buy the block or single. Even got a single on the sale this year. Update is absolute crap! Goes from 7 hours remaining cook time to 15 minutes to 3 hours to … over and over. I have lost faith in this product and won’t be giving any away as gifts until way after they fix this P O S update. You all need to fire that engineer. Great product gone bad..Version: 3.1.2

Awesome with one MAJOR flawThe design and concept are just amazing. However, the Meater utterly fails if the grill or oven get near 500 degrees which unfortunately is almost every grill ... every time. I’m sure you’ve seen this or will if you have the product but the app goes completely crazy and starts alerting you that you will destroy the device which leaves you only with the option of destroying dinner or the device. It then blocks out all other temp readings and obnoxiously screams on your phone. It’s a bit like buying a race car then discovering that the tires can only go up to 70 mph. Seriously ....a grill Thermometer that can’t go much over 400 degrees??? A HUGE flaw. With that said, if they fix this it would be the thing ever..Version: 2.5.1

I thought I was a good cook until….After I obtained a METER + I realized how I could become even a better cook. I no longer had to guess or use skill to obtain correct internal temperatures of roasted meats or birds. I could set my probe for the correct temperature and that would be correct every single time. I have made prime New York strip sirloin‘s that came out exactly to medium rare, no guesswork. I made a tomahawk steak perfectly. I made rack of lamb that came out exactly the way I wanted it. I present my roasts, racks of lamb, briskets, everything exactly the way I wish them to turn out because of the meter. Stuart Borken.Version: 2.11.0

Finicky piece of techConnection is great once you get it, but jumping the tech hoops is less straight forward and reliable than simple wired transmitter probes I have used. I got this as a gift, but would not give it to anyone who is not in tech. When it works it’s nice. The rest of the time it’s a paperweight. Can’t say I would recommend it to anyone seriously into bbq as it is not reliable enough to grab and use without spending time making all the connections before you can even use it. Sorry but it has too many weak points to recommend it..Version: 2.10.0

Great Integration with MacOs TooIt might seem funny to rate the app based on its integration with MacOs (M1 Apple Silicon on Big Sur) but the fact is that it works well on MacOs. That way I can be in the basement, on the Mac, with the probes running upstairs on the Meater Block and I can have the data concurrently on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. That's very convenient. Publishing graph data on the Mac, so I can save it in my Recipes/Cooks folder is convenient too. I also believe its a great app just for cooking - I 've used it about 200 times since getting it in the Spring of 2020 and the probes have been a game changer for everything - and especially rotesserie..Version: 2.5.1

Update to original reviewWhile I still found it a bit frustrating, I did go back and watch many videos to understand how it works then tried again to use it. Not sure how the app started working but it did and I was able to do what the instructions said. Price is a bit high, however it works much better than a probe that’s connected to my smoker. Being able to monitor wirelessly is a real plus. I hope the algorithm can be worked to aid in cook time for long cooks with large pieces of meat to get a more accurate cook time, other than that, the MEATER does what it says it will do..Version: 3.2.0

Good but needs a couple things to be greatThe app and device are very good. The estimated time is very helpful. I have 2 simple requests that would make this app great: 1)need an iWatch companion app, to monitor temps and provide alerts. This is key so that I don’t need to have iPhone volume maxed out so I can hear it in a noisy room, I always have my iWatch on me but I don’t alway walk around the house carrying my iPhone. 2)need option to add notes to each cook. That way you could go back and see what worked and what didn’t. Also, to add cook details like recipe changes and rate each cook - that way you can go back and remake the best cooks. Simply add a rating field and text journal..Version: 2.5.1

Connection sometimes difficultOften, when I open up the app, it will not allow me to establish a new cook. It does not seem to be incredibly user-friendly. But once I play around with it, I have found that if I find a prior cook, I can ask her to repeat. But I don’t know how to establish a new cook the way that I did when I first used it. However, when it does work, it seems to be great. But I wonder how I can get it to work on my phone when the phone is not within 6 feet of the smoker. I cook in the backyard and don’t know what’s going on until I actually walk the phone all the way out there and it reconnects once it is within a few feet..Version: 3.3.1

Believe the Hype! This thing is legit! Bought it for a steal on Black Friday 2021 and used it for the first time to cook a Christmas dinner. Perfectly cooked our Christmas Turkey in my mother’s old gas oven, that doesn’t accurately maintain temp. or have a great window to see the bird. Worth the money, especially if you don’t want to have to however around a meal all day. This thing allowed me to go about my day and even notified me when the meal was almost ready. Even gave me an estimated cook time. Best kitchen item I have EVER purchased. I cannot wait to use it when I smoke meats in my propane smoker!.Version: 2.11.0

WiFi password input barrierI use a 64 character randomly generated string for my WiFi password. The app will not let me paste it in and when I try to painfully enter it manually the field length is too short to enter it. This makes the device relatively unusable. I have the Meater Block. Standalone mode has no value to me since I have a Thermoworks BBQ setup. I’ve tried to update the block firmware and get an error. Update: a firmware update of the block solved this issue. But I did run into an issue where I had to disable my network adblocker for the download to work. Which gives me concerns as well since it’s likely blocking a telemetry service of some type..Version: 4.1.1

Outstanding productI love to grill and cook in general. I’m not sure how I grilled and broiled meats in the past without MEATER. This is the greatest addition you can make to your grilling arsenal of tools. MEATER is very easy to use. The app is excellent. I get great results now on every piece of meat. It is perfectly cooked. Visiting with guests and forget to check your meat on the grill or in the oven? You’ll never have that problem again with MEATER. It sends you alerts that you can set up. I love how you set the meat you’re cooking and how well you want it done and it alerts you when to pull it from the heat to let it rest. Perfect every time. MEATER even can broadcast across your WiFi from the monitoring phone to others. It would be better if MEATER could directly connect to WiFi so you don’t have an intermediate phone device, but it’s still very usable as is. If you love to grill and cook different meats, get a MEATER. You won’t be disappointed!.Version: 1.2.4

Fantastic until it Came ApartThis is one of the greatest inventions for grilling since the invention of Bluetooth. It syncs to your phone effortlessly once you do the initial setup and it makes flawless steaks, etc (but steaks and other fast grilled meats are the thing you’ll see the most effect on imo) every time. However, this latest grilling session when I went to take the probe out of the meat, the black top came out of the metal base (definitely not supposed to happen). Meater, if you’re reading this, you need better epoxy or something on that connection. I hope I can send in for repair / replacement because I love this thing and would otherwise give it 5 Stars..Version: 2.11.0

Good app, Not so great implementationFirst use of the MEATER app and I have to say, visually, it’s actually decent. Looks like time was spent on aesthetics and festers that it doesn’t look thrown together. Some areas of improvement: 1. Range. The original MEATER is so terrible with range I have to have an iPad 2ft from my smoker just to connect to Wi-Fi and transmit data. While this isn’t an app issue, and I hear the + version is a bit better, the original leaves a LOT to be desired. 2. Live events not updating, or say disconnected. Despite having a reliable connection to the iPad via Bluetooth and strong Wi-Fi with the iPad, the live updates feature seems to tel me it’s been disconnected from time to time. Now this is likely due to a power saving issue but I can’t seem to work out why it randomly says disconnected when I enter the app. It quickly goes away but the purpose of live events is to not have to look at the app to see my temps. Possibly a bug here, but without knowing how it’s coded, I can’t say for sure..Version: 3.3.1

Estimated cook time failsThe last time I used the app it took quite a while for the “estimating cook time” to figure itself out. Like 15-20 minutes minimum(which seems Ok considering it needs to get a few data points before it can guess. ) but the latest version seems to sit at that screen for hours. The temperatures on the probe are still precise, I double checked with my I start read thermometer. But it would be nice if I can get an estimate on time. Earlier this am it did have a 4 hour estimate which then fluctuated between 4 and 13 hours. This was not helpful and found myself constantly watching the screen..Version: 3.3.1

Best meat probe & software I’ve ever usedBest meat probe & software I’ve ever used. Most meat probe makers are good at making the probes and cheap hardware, but their software stinks. It’s half written, buggy, and lacks features. The MEATER App is surprisingly good. Very easy to use, great interface, tons of features and can monitor multiple probes simultaneously. The probe itself is also very impressive. Very accurate and the fact it can report both the meat temp and the ambient air temp is fantastic. Very well made and and way it uses the charger to extend the signal range is brilliant..Version: 3.1.4

AwesomeLove it. I’ve had it for about 5 years now. Everything comes out cooked to perfection..Version: 4.1.0

CookingWorks well. Very convenient.Version: 4.2.0

Very tempermentalWe have the four unit version in the block. Great idea but the communication software isnt the best. We constantly have to fip between bluetooth and wifi. In retrospect I wish we did not purchase the unit. Its been very frustrating..Version: 4.2.0

Grand purchase.I heard about this through a friend and it has been truly amazing. Took my cooking to the next level. No more overcooked meals. Would highly recommend..Version: 4.2.0

Will make you a better cook!Totally changes how you cook perfect cook every time..Version: 4.2.0

Only ok. Could be a lot betterIf you want an app to beep on your phone every few seconds for a long cool on your bbq or smoker then this is for you..Version: 4.2.0

Meat magic!I have been so impressed with my MEATER. So many settings and perks. I have nailed every cook with this tool….highly recommend.Version: 4.1.3

Inconsistent connectivityWhile I love the app and the product mostly, the probe has challenges connecting at times and seems to be running out of battery more quickly after having it for a little over a year..Version: 4.1.3

Love it. Thought I wouldn’t, but I do.I was dubious of the thickness of the probe. Hard to put into smaller pieces of meat. I found that I don’t really need a probe for the smaller pieces. I use the heck out of it for the thick roasts and loins. Awesome for smoking brisket. Wish the range was a bit larger because the smoker is in the shop but I am in there putting sticks to the fire anyway so not a big issue. A definite win. I need another..Version: 4.1.2

Great Thermometer, needs an Apple Watch AppGreat thermometer, can’t cook without it. The only thing missing that would be extremely useful would be an Apple Watch app. That way the phone can stay out of harm’s way..Version: 4.1.3

Love the MEATER. Love the app.Fantastic product. I use it on all my cooks. Works great for grilling, smoking, air frying and anything else I can come up with. It’s a foolproof way to cook. The app is excellent and easy to use. It never fails me..Version: 4.1.2

MEATER ReviewAll the guesswork has been taking out of cooking meat with the MEATER Plus. Now chicken breast comes out juicier than ever and beef is cooked to perfect doneness..Version: 4.1.0

OK thermometer. This thermometer is quite accurate but my only criticism is that you can only have your phone 5 feet away from it or else it will constantly disconnects..Version: 4.1.0

You asked for a commentLove the function of the meater. It’s great. I don’t understand why the base has a cord if I have to use AA batteries anyway? What does the cord do? It is frustrating that it shuts itself off if you don’t have a cook preprogrammed. Also frustrating that if I leave the house I can’t check on the cook, I have to be on the wifi. The range of the base to the probes is very short. My kitchen is beside the smoker and I have to leave the base outside. Customer service is very difficult. I have tried multiple times to contact you but it’s majorly road locked to get in touch. That is disappointing. Thank you.Version: 4.1.0

Best gadget for cooksWorks great. No more guess work. Perfect cooks especially for big expensive pieces of meat. Give away several Meaters as gifts to family and friends..Version: 4.0.1

Best thermometer ever!I’ve had this for a while now and it still works great. I really like how the app works. Perfect cook every time..Version: 4.0.1

Perfect!Always spot on. Great app and a great product!.Version: 3.3.3

Meal improvement.I am enjoying a lot more consistent results. So much juicier when not overdone!.Version: 3.3.3

AmazingThanks MEATER, I’m the best BBQr now.Version: 3.3.1

Works okay, but the app is annoying.Tons of Bluetooth issues, which isn’t a big deal, except for the fact that the timer stops every time the Bluetooth drops. I’m actually using that timer. Just let it run. Stop pausing it just because the Bluetooth drops. I’m using it to time my flips! So annoying having to use a timer separate from the MEATER app..Version: 3.3.3

Easy to use app.Clear and easy step by step to setup your MEATER device. Accurate internal and external temperature settings to get perfect results..Version: 3.3.1

Perfect cook every timeI love this probe! Best option on the market. The only snag I find is that the Bluetooth range could be at a greater distance than what is available with the model I have. Will buy again and again.Version: 3.3.1

JunkI would give it zero stars if I could. I don’t think this thing has ever worked properly without constantly disconnecting and when it does stay connected - rare is always well done. I’ve learned to pull my roast off when the internal temp says 30c and it always turn out as medium rare. I do not recommend.Version: 3.3.1
