Great but a few tipsThis app is a great closet organization app. It has an easy to use format that I really enjoy. I really enjoy that you can edit categories and subcategories allowing me to organize my closet the way I want to. The ease of the photo editing section allows allowing me to finish entering a clothing item in minutes with the tools that allow both precision and speed. I would enjoy being able to take multiple pictures of one clothing item to allow multiple viewpoints of one piece. Personally, I have quite a few items that look pretty basic from the front, but the back has a special wow factor that could change how it goes together with an outfit. I also have a few pieces that could be worn in different ways that I’d like to be able to view to see if I like a certain style of a piece vs another style/piece. As far as the information you can put in about the clothing , I feel as if it’s very thorough and allows me to put in a lot of useful information. I do wish there was a material section. Going into the look books, I can’t seem to filter what clothes I want to look at for the collage and when I try to it just lifts up the clothing screen. Idk if it’s supposed to do that but if it is, than that’s kind of misleading. I haven’t really looked at the shopping but it seems relatively easy to use and navigate. Best Closet App EVER!!This app is the best!!!! I’ve tried lots of closet organizing apps but this one is by far the best one!!its is soooo easy to use and also has tons of fabulous features such as helping you pack for trips, plan out all of you your outfits in a calendar feature. You can also ACTUALLY SHOP for stuff including designer brands. Smart Closet will even show you discounts while shopping for brands like Prada and Valentino. It’s so easy to add outfits and create your very own look book. If you need some inspiration, check out the homepage to see other people’s looks and outfits they’ve created. Plus, create a profile where you can post outfits and other fashion tips. Can’t figure out what to wear? THE APP WILL CHOOSE CLOTHES FOR YOU. Nobody could ever ask for a better app. When you log your clothes down, the app will automatically delete the background for you so you have a white background with just your piece of clothing if you press “auto”. Soo awesome!!!! As a recap, you can shop, get inspired, log your closet, and help yourself in the morning when you think you have “nothing to wear”. This can actually help you save money because the reason why most people shop when they already had clothes is because they only think they can’t make any cute outfits with the things they have. QUESTIONI was using another closet that I really liked, but it didn’t have anyway to sign in so if my device broke or I got a new one, I would have to redo the whole thing again. Then I downloaded another one and started over again, but it was so hard to edit anything on it because it kept glitching and didn’t have many options. So now I’m on this one which is so much better! It is way easier to edit the background of the photos. The questions below are the only reason this app lost a star. >>>question: I need to know how to make categories and subcategories. On the previous app, I had “Tops” then below I had individual categories of tops. Also, the previous app had the ability to add more than one photo to the same item. So I could swipe to see the back of the shirt, and you could select which side would show on an outfit. How do I do that on here? Social NEEDS TO GO, Search NEEDS TO COMEAfter reading a review in an (older) article for this app, I was so excited to download a super simple cataloguing app that is just a virtual version of my closet. I was so disappointed to find that it’s trying to become an Instagram for outfits. I spend way more than enough time every day struggling not to waste time on social media, and here I’m faced with a homepage that begs for more social attention. GOODBYE. My second enormous frustration with this app is the almost useless search tool. I wanted to have access to merchant pictures of my items, so I could log everything quickly (without having to take photos of everything I own, who has time for that) and to curate a streamlined, visually appealing and accurate virtual closet. I go to search the Victoria’s Secret brand category, stack of VSX sports bras and leggings in hand, and clicking through to Victoria’s Secret -> Activewear yields...three sports bras. That’s what I had to choose from, for a major, mainstream brand. I tried again with an H&M bra and an Old Navy dress; no results even close to the items I wanted to log. I am now resigned to taking pictures of as many things as possible, which will take forever, look messy on the app, and probably never allow me to log the entirety of my closet’s contents..Madame CotillionVersion: 3.0.6

Best AppThis is no doubt one of my favorite apps ever. Having a bigger wardrobe can be so hard to organize & remember everything you own. I love being able to log everything in to this app, along with being able to plan out outfits & look books, too. It’s so helpful when you’re running somewhere last second & are getting stressed out about picking out an outfit quick (which happens often); I can just look at the outfits I have pre-planned out to save that time & worry. The packing feature is also a lifesaver. I’m the worst about laying out the right amount of clothes & remembering to pack everything coming back. The app allows you to lay out all your planned outfits and items for a trip. So you not only don’t have to stress about what to wear on your vacation, but also see exactly what you packed as a checklist when packing back up. Great app, full screen pics pleaseThe app is great, it has great functionality. You can add multiple photos at once and edit them right away. The problem for me is the lack of full screen pics... When I click on the pic it opens a small pic at the top of the screen with the bunch of info at the bottom. I love the info but when choosing clothes I prefer to look at the pics than at whether it's a skirt or a dress, or if it's for summer and winter. Believe it or not, just by looking at the pic I can determine what type of clothing it is and if I can wear it outside if it's too cold... To see the whole pic or to see it full screen you need to click edit and then crop... Those are two completely unnecessary steps to see the pic properly. Just enlarge the pic of the clothing and decrease the size of the clothes info. It's unnecessary and impractical to take half the space of the screen..ImperatrixIVersion: 3.1.5

Best Closet APPI absolutely love this app. It could use a few things, like being able to undo something you’ve edited. Also, when reorganizing your closet items it would be great to be able to select multiple items to move all into one area. Like selecting jewelry to move together and then reorganize once it’s in the desired place. The other thing I would recommend is being able to have more than one closet. For example, I wear a uniform and suits for work, it would be nice to have a work closet to work with that would make it easier to keep separate including posting on the calendar. It would be nice to be able to specify what event you wore an outfit to, such as an office meeting, vs work or personal party celebration, etc. Otherwise IT IS THE BEST APP and I highly recommend it..PreparingtxVersion: 3.7.1

I LOVE THIS APP!!! (but I have two suggestions)I absolutely love this app! I use it to plan my outfits and organize my closet. It’s so easy to use and very customizable to fit your closet and items. My biggest suggestion for this app would be to have some way to search or tag items. Right now, the only option is to filter items by categories (which is great!) However, it would be nice to either have a way to add tags to certain items OR just have a way to search up keywords that might have been in an item’s notes. Almost There!I’ve tried several different apps since Polyvore and this is the next best thing!!! There are just two more things I need added to the app for it to be perfect... please add save draft and edit. When we start creating a look/collage, we have to finish it right away or come back and start all over. Save draft will allow us to save what we’ve started and come back later to finish it. If we created a look/collage and posted it and then decide later we want to add something or take something away, we have to delete it and then start all over again. If we had edit as an option as well, then we can just add/remove those items and keep it simple. Great Closet AppI downloaded several closet organisation apps but ended up deleting them all except this one. He others had so many glitches and frustrations. This is the best free app out there. Easy to upload photos of your own items and organise your wardrobe. Gives you multiple options for outfits which can be customised and saved. Wish there was an option to edit these looks at a later stage so you could add a new necklace or shoes etc. Unfortunately you have to delete and redo. I’m not into the sharing/liking/following part of the app which is more like Instagram but you don’t have to use that if you don’t want to. I like the idea of adding clothes you want to buy into your closet as wishlist items making it easier to coordinate your closet for future purchases. Easier to use than Stylebook and more functional than FineryI’ve been using Stylebook for two years so I’ve invested a lot of time in inputting my belongings into that app, but I have to admit that Smart Closet is a lot quicker and easier to use. Specifically, if you want to add items from your wishlist and play around with them and create outfits to see how they would work with other items in your closet this is a lot better for that purpose. The app automatically culls data about the brand and category from shop’s website and that saves you from having to input a lot of that data yourself. I’m sure the design could stand to be a little bit more intuitive and I’d love to see more stores be supported (namely Revolve), but at the moment I’m pretty happy with this app..AkroidakrisVersion: 3.1.7

Wish List for Updated CapabilitiesThis app has helped with my organization and outfit planning. I travel frequently and I would love if the packing section had the ability to make looks out of the items on each packing list. If I add existing looks to my packing plan, each individual item gets added to my packing list. However, it would be great to be able to pick out all of my pieces and then have the app put together outfit combinations. Please consider this capability for the next update. Terrific app, but super glitchy.I’ve been using this app since I started using a capsule wardrobe, and it has been really wonderful. However, it’s incredibly annoying that you MUST choose more than one season for an article of clothing or it will not save. There are pieces of clothing that are truly only one season, and you should be allowed to choose that. Also, if you added something a while ago as “all seasons” and want to go back and specify, say, fall and winter as your seasons and hit save, the item completely disappears from the closet. Major glitch, and needs to be fixed. Like others, I hate that the social aspect is the first screen and I have to dig around for the calendar, which I use every day. Amazing app, but there’s a issue with mine.I love this app, it worked really well for me for such a long time after polyvore shut down. But recently when I try to make a set the app turns black and shuts down, I can’t go on the app for more than 2 minutes or less when trying to go through my clothes to make a set before it shuts down. I tried to delete it and download it again but then when I opened it and signed in all my clothes and pictures I had uploaded were gone, and it didn’t fix it because it still shuts down. Best app of its kindI love that this app lets me create outfits with the clothes I have in my own wardrobe! The interface is easy to use and very straightforward, but it also has so much potential that is not being used. I wish it had the option to add custom colors or the ability to sort items by custom patterns. The ability to follow others is great, but it would also be cool if there was a way to search by hashtags, so I could easily find others with the same style as me. Love itOkay, see the thing is I love the app, I truly do. The concept is so simple and clean; elegant and magnificent. Compared to other apps with the same concept this one certainly takes the cake. It’s super easy to use. However, it’s the details that get me. For instance, this new update is very disappointing. Now, everything takes a super long time to load, if at all. When I look up an item some items will take a while, but still load, while others will just stay blank. Very annoying and to be honest a test to my patience. Good appSpent hours snapping pics and adding my clothes. Then tried to use the collage feature to create outfits and it doesn’t work. It will only add one item. I checked the help to make sure and I was doing it correctly just would only allow me to stack pictures and wouldn’t move them. Also the pictures are WAY to small. I can’t even recognize my own clothes. Disappointed as I was excited to use this app. Update: Technical Support responded to my issue same day. Need improvementsAfter using this app for some more time. I have two things that bother me. 1. When using the auto-tool to cut out clothes, it often removes tags/small details. I really want the “fill” option to let us draw them back in from the original picture after using the auto tool, instead of having to sigh and cut out the entire thing by hand to avoid this happening. The fill tool looks like it isn’t functioning correctly at all. 2. Best Closet AppThis is the best closet app by far I’ve tried like 5 of them. I use it every day and absolutely love how easy it is to use. A few suggestions for the developers: 1. Make it so that every time you’re on an outfit page (even if you navigate to it from the calendar or from “used in _ looks”) or anywhere else) there should be the same options available in the look book view. 2. Would be amazing to have a weather feature for the calendar! Also having the calendar as a tab on the bottom would be great. Would love just more abilities with the calendar in general 3. The favorite tab should have a place for you to favorite your outfits 4. If you delete one item all outfits with that item should be deleted (I think it’s supposed to do this but doesn’t) 5. So goodI just got this so my opinion could change- but I am so happy. I was looking for an easier way to get the editorial look for layouts for clothes for my blog without having to go trough the hassle that is layering in photoshop, indesign, etc. I never understood why it took so long to just rearrange pictures and type in the box when I wanted to just drag my saved pictures on top of one another or onto the blank space to create a collage. Great! Just a few things missingThis app is amazing! I have tried multiple different closet apps and this one is by far my favorite. Anyone looking for a closet app should definitely download SmartCloset!! There are a couple of changes I wish they would make. 1. You can create sub categories. You can have a main category of “Dresses” and then sub categories like “Dresses - Rompers” or “dresses - formal dresses”. However when you go to the filter options, you can only filter on the main categories. It would be nice to filter on the sub categories. 2. You can add “status” to items. The preset statuses are laundry, available, wish list, other. I added a category the says “work item”. I also have 2 closes so added two status categories for closet 1 and closet 2. It would be nice if you could add multiple tags to one item. Right now you can only have one status tag on an item. 3. You can only upload 1 photo per item. Good, but needs some fixesI downloaded the app this summer when I was looking for something similar to Polyvore, and used it all the time. The only problem I had then was it would have been nice if I had the ability to click a product in an image and visit he website. About September, my phone updated and I had to redownload the app. Every time I tried to log into my account, I would select log in with Google, because that was how I originally set up my account. I would my information in, and instead of logging me in, the app would crash. Good app, but missing one crucial aspectThis app is really great as I was looking for an app where I could upload my closet and create my own outfits. The only thing is that all my clothes in my closet did not save when I had to redownload the app due to technical difficult from my phone. I had dozens of items uploaded to my closet and none of it saved. I found that weird since you are able to create an account you’d expect all your items to be saved with your account but nope. Love this app but needs an archive featureI love this app. I use it a lot for planning outfits especially when I’m travelling and lately have been using it to curate my closet. A couple features I’d love to see added are 1. And archive feature to archive clothing I want to keep in the app but not necessarily want to see and 2. Everything was so good in this app until the recent update🥲🥲🥲So first, let’s begin with the BEST feature that got removed. It was the feature that allows us to share posts. I loved being able to share my creations, and see other peoples creations, and it needs to be brought back asap!! A solid organizational tool (when it works 🫣)I love adding new items to my closet to outfit plan, seeing how much use I’d actually get out of pieces before I buy them, and trying things I’m interested in without having to purchase and return. Needs better search filterI love the app but would be better to have a much more detailed search feature based on what type of clothing we’re looking for. Great app, needs additional closetsSo right now it looks like you can only have one closet. I think it would be AMAZING if I could put my closet in here, along with my son’s which is who I’m using this for. Ugh, now it’s “social”.I’m so not happy with this update. I had just finally gotten all of my closet items into the app and created a bunch of looks which I’ve consistently been adding to my calendar each day. My main goal when i got this app was the track the clothes i wear in order to reduce my closet size, create outfits with items i already own and also track pieces that i need or already have. The new update has bumped the calendar to the “settings” area and now defaults to the “social” area where you can post outfits and see what other people are wearing. After no updates for eons there was an update that removed functionsLove this app, but after taking some time away, I came back to organize for upcoming trip. In October 2022 everything was fine. Then… First off all my items were gone! Panic!! Data was still there, I pulled the screen down to refresh and everything repopulated. Thank goodness. In January 2023, the filter option gone. Not quite PolyvoreThere’s are lots of opportunities to improve on search functions and end user experience. Great example - when I search for a piece of clothing, I’m interested in seeing how it’s already been styled by other users of the application - not just being directed to the seller site. Words can’t explain...Words can’t explain how trilled I am that I discovered this app. I spent all day taking pictures of my clothes. I used to wear the same clothes all the time. Decent selection, great controlI’ve used this app to make countless packing lists for trips, as well as park down my wardrobe to only pieces I actually like. I keep a running list of the clothes I wear and when I notice I never wear a piece, I’ll either incorporate it into my outfits more often or donate it. My only complaint is that most of my clothes are cheapo stuff from target, so I have to just find a similar looking piece from a fancy brand. No biggie as long as I know what piece it’s referencing. It’s okayGenerally an okay app, I like that you can follow other users and post outfits like a fashion Instagram, however, the app is very glitchy and slow. I don’t like the setup of the popular page, a post that doesn’t have any likes gets to stay at the top and then eventually gets a bunch likes just because it’s at the top. You’re also not able to comment which could be good so that there aren’t any hate comments but then you don’t get to praise people’s looks. Pretty great!I love this app, you don't have to pay to use the features, and the random look generator is super helpful! Some things that I would like to see different is when you are editing a photo, it slides into the home screen while I'm erasing and I lose all my work!! It's really frustrating. Great UpgradeSmart Closet is great to plan a capsule wardrobe. It is easy to import photos from the web, online store or your own (compared with others apps). It is also fun: I was amazed to see how my wardrobe as so many staple pieces to create sooooooo MANY outfits... The recent update made filing and organizing more simple. Cropping is easy. Best closet app I’ve triedI normally don’t write reviews for apps but wanted to help anyone else who was looking for a good closet app, after I had to try several out before finding this one. This app is amazing, especially for being free. It’s great for keeping track of all the clothes you have, sorting them into categories (based on color, type, etc), planning your clothes for specific days, making outfit collages, and getting outfit inspiration. It’s unlimited and very easy to use. You can even mark when clothes are dirty. My one complaint would be that the calendar feature could be easier to access, as it’s one of the things I use most, but it still takes only two taps to open, so not a huge deal. I personally don’t use the shopping feature or connect with friends, but it’s still cool to have the option! If you’re looking for a good way to keep track of your clothes and plan outfits I 100% recommend this app. Updated Feb 24: So I originally left 5 stars because of how great the app is, but after uploading some more clothes today I can’t use it anymore. I had no issues uploading several more items, but now the app crashes every time I try to create a look or add an item to the calendar. So frustrating!!! 5 star app negated by fatal flawThis app is fantastic, except for its fatal flaw. There’s no real way to back up your closet. You can spend hours adding photos from your closet or stores only to lose your entire closet when you upgrade your device or have any issue that requires you to set up your device as new. As Apple support will tell you, sometimes there’s a persistent bug and restoring your phone just duplicates the software issues. They often recommend setting up your device as new and restoring from the cloud. This app could easily be five stars if you could backup to the cloud or sync across devices. Yes that’s the other part. If you have an iPad you will have to create a completely new closet as it doesn’t sync across devices either. Fixing the lack of backup flaw would raise this app to four stars and syncing across devices would bring it to five. These two features are central to an app that stores information you input. Got to replace polyvore... did not impress meI got this app to replace polyvore after it shut down, and I’m not impressed by it. There are some functions that I like such as the actual fashion pieces which seem to update often, but the mechanics and performance of the app are not good. It will randomly freeze up and there is no way to save your work, so when that happens you have to start all over. There is no easy way to “like” garments to use them later like there was in polyvore. Every time I exit the app for a few minutes to check a notification, it restarts and I have to restart my look. Sometimes I will crop garments and they look fine before I publish, but after I publish the pieces move around and overlap each other and it looks really bad. There is no way to search for brands within the “filter” page while creating a look, and there are thousands of brands so I can never find what I’m looking for..Skirtsrock5Version: 3.0.9

Would like to see some improvementsI got the lifetime subscription so was pretty disappointed when I realized all the ways the app is lacking. What is the point of allowing us to create subcategories in our closet if we cannot filter or search by subcategories? The closet search experience really needs to be improved. We should be able to tag key words and select multiple categories / statuses and keyboard search all of it instead of only allowing us to use a filter. There should be an option to show header titles of the subcategories/ keywords when we search. We should also be allowed to upload more than one photo per item so we can have pictures of it from both sides or fitted differently. Deleted everything after a back upThis app had been good to me… I paid $9.99 to back up everything and it confirmed that it had and when I log out and log back in again everything is gone. WHY DID I PAY $10 FOR EVERYTHING TO BE LOST ANYWAYS! I had lost my other phone and hadn’t backed it up and diligently recreated my ENTIRE closet just for it to be wiped by LOGGING OUT. At first I thought I had logged into the wrong account, but I can see my posts there like before, but now it lists that 0 items are backed up. I am so irate it’s insane. Keeps crashingI really want to give this app a 4 or a 5 because I think the features are great, especially the ability to not only upload my wardrobe and create collages, but also to erase the backgrounds on clothing items so they can be layered nicely. But after spending HOURS getting everything uploaded and backgrounds erased, I cannot make a single collage because the app crashes every single time I try. I have an iPhone X with over 208 GB free. I also restarted the app, my phone, and ran updates. Still nothing. It’s a major disappointment. Sync doesn’t workI like the way the app is laid out. I think I’ll enjoy using it. I started using it last night with my iPad. I wanted to sync it with my phone today, so I went into the app and paid the “pro” fee to be able to sync between devices. It still will not sync. Then I went to their website to read the help section and they imply this is a known issue. Why are they still charging you for syncing if they know it isn’t working? Shady. Frequently kicked out! Takes multiple attempts to upload each itemThis would be a great way to organize your closet. If it didn’t frequently kick you out of it. Unfortunately when you are in the middle of use, it kicks you out before and during attempting to save your work. I have spent a lot of time uploading my items and editing each one. It is very frustrating when your time and tedious hard work gets deleted almost definitely. It takes multiple attempts to upload each edited item. Glitches & UI IssuesIt is extremely difficult to reorder items — you have to drag an item to the bottom of the page and then stop and scroll, and then drag an item to the bottom of the page and then stop and scroll again.
