Playing this game for a year and a half and……Love it. What helped me was watching tips from other users. I do see where people are commenting that you are “forced to purchase items”. That is not true. Sure you can but it’s not required. You can earn items by playing levels. If you finish playing the level go back and play again. Once you complete that level 3x you will get a chest sent to camp. You don’t have to stop there. Go back and play that level 5 more times and you get an egg sent to camp. Then complete that level 9 more times and a nest of eggs go back to your camp. During the completion of the level you may get a purple star. Only tap the purple star once and collect the diamond that was released. If you leave the purple star that is left when you complete the level you will be able to send the purple diamond back to camp. This does not work with the yellow stars I just merge them and get a larger yellow star and a chest. If you collect the purple star after you finish the level (it will be in the items you can send to camp and show as “Free”) and keep collecting the purple stars in your camp you can then merge for a bigger payout. I do agree with the inability to prevent chain reactions in the levels and the events and they scrolling very far on your screen. It’s a pain but doesn’t prevent me from winning all of the items and completing the quests so I get additional items sent to my camp. Awesome game Great for stress and anxietyI love this game!!! It’s got lots to do without getting too overwhelming and it gives me something to focus on when I’m stressed. It doesn’t force you to play with other people if you don’t want too like most games and it doesn’t force you to spend money. If you do end up spending a little most of the time you get a pretty good deal. I also love how you don’t have to go on quests or play the events, if I’m in one of my shut down mood I can just come and clean up my camp or play with the dust bunny’s. The events are mostly fun, a little stressful for me sometimes so I’ll skip it if I don’t feel like doing it and I don’t have to worry about it being the last time I see them cause they’ll come around again. It’s one of my favorite merge games!!! I only have 2 things I wish were different and they’re not even huge it would just make it a lot easier for me. The main one is the friends area, I wish they had a little sign or something that says they’ve been inactive or stopped playing kinda thing. It makes it hard to send presents and it would be nice to be able to delete friends. The second is in the camp, I wish I had an option to either store stuff or an option to make stuff into the bubbles without waiting for my camp to be too full. Other than that totally awesome game!!! Loved this game a couple years ago, coming back on a new deviceI have to confess to something. On one of the levels I realized that I could get an infinite supply of new materials so I never had to end the level. I just kept playing on the same level for several years. Chests didn’t cost anything to open, dragons didn’t require energy to harvest things… I just kept going to get the highest levels of various things. I didn’t even have to worry about space, because I began storing an obnoxious amount of items in bubbles by keeping the island mostly full 90% of the time. That was on my old phone, though, and that phone barely works anymore, so I’m gonna try the app again on a different device. Idk if your progress passes over—if it does I’m just gonna stay in that level even longer. If not, I’m going to play the game how it’s actually supposed to be played, lol. So anyone that’s annoyed by energy limits and stuff and just wants the satisfaction of merging… now you know. I don’t know what level it is but keep an eye out for levels with trees that occasionally drop that grass stuff you can get those shiny seeds from. Once you have flowers that you can harvest leaves from you can make trees to harvest wood from. They also occasionally drop chests. Mushrooms you can harvest other mushrooms from. Fun but disappointingI started playing this game about a month ago since my 13 year old daughter was playing it and thought it would be fun to have this in common. I quickly became addicted, trying to clear land and get dragon stuff. About 2 weeks into playing I obtained a zen temple, apparently a prized item that cost me 250 coins. It isn’t an item that you can purchase over and over, just one chance and that was it. A while after I got the temple I realized it was gone and I have no idea how. I figured I must have accidentally sold it, but had a hard time believing but couldn’t come up with any other reason for it to be gone. More recently I had a larger dinosaur skeleton head disappear, again I figured I must have accidentally sold the item. Well two days ago I had 12 jewels in my bank, 7 that I had for a while and 5 more that I just obtained. I was very excited and decided to hold onto them to see how many I could get. Two days later when I logged into my game, all 12 jewels were gone. Now, with the loss of my jewels, which I know I did not “accidentally” use, I’m sure that items are just deleting from my game. I shared this with my daughter and she said she lost a dragon and thinks this must be a glitch in the game. Very frustrating to work for these items and then to have them just disappear. Favorite gameI have adored merge dragons for years. I loved the game as it was years ago but even more things have been added to make it awesome and more engaging. My one and only wish right now is that I wish it could be possible to turn off automatic harvesting. Especially in events. For example, the frozen seas event, things that you want to keep for merges later ( because you haven’t gotten to unlock the tiles with the other pieces you need to merge) get harvested when you’re not paying attention to your dragons. This also happens in levels which has forced me to have to restart (frustrating because of how long it takes for chalices to renew) It would be nice in general to just be able to turn it off. i have found the only thing i like about automatic harvesting is when dragons harvest life essence and really I only like that in things like the frozen seas event because you need a lot of life essence to get the high level rewards. In my camp i find it overwhelming when all your dragons come out and just start automatically harvesting. Putting this in as an option- like how “turn off chain actions” is an option in the game menu. This game is so unbelievably well made and well kept and fun and engadging that i recommend it to everyone. A few suggestions...This game is honestly amazing and super fun to play. The levels get harder as you keep playing, and the camp can keep me busy for hours. One thing that annoys me slightly is the fact that you can accidentally tap your life essences, or you coins, or other things, and you can never get them back. I was working really hard to make the highest level of the life essence, the wonder, when I accidentally tapped my level 8 life essence. It was the highest one I had, and I had to restart, though all of my dead land in the camp was no longer dead. Another issue is with the events. The events are always extremely fun and I loved the recent Froopyland event (I think that’s what it was called? I forget) but I always make the mistake where I never tap the event points and instead keep merging them for the highest level, and in the end, the event is over before I can tap it. There should be like a thing where you can collect the event points after the event that you didn’t collect during the event. A last suggestion that I have is that there should be more things you can buy with coins. Almost all of the things in the shop are for gems, and the only way you can get them is to either buy them with real money, or get the gem star. Best Game EverI have been playing this game for a few years, love all the little missions & events that are always happening, there are always different events & it really keeps the game to be entertaining! I LOVE all the different eggs, love how there are always new eggs added to the game! I can’t even remember how much money I have spent to on gems, but buying the gems makes the game even more interesting and keeps everything moving together. The only thing I wish that could change a little bit is the prices of the gems, they can kinda get expensive. Wish the game would reward its players for staying with the game? Maybe every year on the anniversary of the player there could be a gift either in gems, money or be rewarded with an expensive gem that you can only get depending on how many years players have been with game & how frequently the players play the game? Fun to play, too easy to lose things.I love playing this game and it’s really rewarding, but when ever I go on, there are times that I find I have lost dragons in my camp, they are mostly the event dragons or the owl griffons, this is the second time I have gotten on and found that an entire species of dragon is just gone. I worked hard for those. There are also times when I will be playing and my hand will brush against the sell or delete button and then it’s gone. I am asked about the big things, if I am sure but the smaller things that are still hard to get, I am not asked about and they are just gone. Like with the event challenges, if you are not really careful you can delete your only way of obtaining the objects you need. There are also times when I think I need to get rid of chests because I cannot open them without paying money to get a small amount of gems first. I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t feel like paying an obscene amount of money for only a few gems. The the purple crystal nest chests, I am fine getting rid of the others but those chests don’t come around a lot and I am running out of room. If there was just a little more room at your camp or an easier way of obtaining the room so you could keep those chests till you could open them, I would love that. Game is fun but charging way too muchI’ve had this game for a little while and downloaded it without reading the reviews. The premise of the game is you merge until you create a “wonder”. Now the downside to this game... if you harvest from objects you can sometimes get a dragon chest. In order to open the dragon chest you have to have gems. You have to pay to have gems or you can happen upon them by merging stars and they appear every once in a blue moon. Now since playing this game I’ve harvested over 300 dragon chests. They take up a ridiculous amount of space. Unlike other free game platforms where if you don’t want to pay you have to wait for something to become available you are now just stuck with them in your camp. You can however sell them but what was the point of building a wonder (which is the highest merge of the game and it takes forever to do in camp) if you are rewarded with things that you have to pay for. Game developers please fix this and I will write a better review. EDIT: they have added more to the game since I wrote this review years ago. I will say that the dragons tend to harvest more dragon chests than I can keep up with so clean up in camp is annoying especially since they require dragon gems to open them. *cough cough*Pros - very fun if ya like collecting things or dragons perhaps (everybody does)? I like the event quests and the normal quests. And I like collecting dragons and merging them. There’s a lot to work on so it could keep you busy for a while. And on some normal quests you can defeat goblins! Cons - they want to much money, say you want to open a dragon vault? PAY! buy one of kala’s deals? PAY! And in the shop there need to be more things you can buy with coins cause most of the things need gems. Another thing they could work on is that the dragons mine the smaller things, say you have a two level life flower and a nine level life flower, they choose the two level life flower and you only have so much chances (if you don’t let them rest) but if ya wanna wake them up with spicy tacos? PAY! There’s too much paying so I request that waking two dragons up should be 50 coins no less no more. of course not paying could be an option but not if you want to move at a satisfying pace. Words from me - I could hope merge dragons becomes bigger with the improvements people request, the game is fun overall and could keep me busy all day but of course slicing through skittle mush with my hair strand is more entertaining than waiting 12 minutes for a dragon to come out of the sleep cave. HmmI love this game. I really do. It’s quite lovely to look at, and the premise is simple and endearing. The levels are fun and gradually become more challenging, and the camp can keep one occupied for hours. The story-despite being presented in a cutesy manner-is subtly dark enough for an older player to appreciate. However, I have two problems. Starting with the more trivial one: trophies. Needing them to play levels is fine, and even the time it takes for them to refill them is no real issue. But the fact that the max number you can have at one time is seven? I don’t know, I think it would be better at ten. Seven just seems like such a random number, and lets you play maybe one or two levels-ten is a more sensible number, and would allow you to get through three or so before running out. But that isn’t enough to ruin this game. What really bothers me is the gems. I really hate the fact that there is no reliable way to get gems. You will never have enough to take advantage of all the cool gem-based features like the royal hatchery or the zen temple. I love those features-but I can’t use them because the only way to get gems is through purchase with real money. I understand that money needs to be made somehow-so rather than charging for a crucial part of gameplay, it would improve the game infinitely if a price of two, three, even four bucks was charged for the app, and a way to collect gems within the game was added..Granola QueenVersion: 3.24.0

Dragon Alum Fed Up With Losing Event EarningsI’ve been playing this game for years and have mostly enjoyed it. I’ve seen a lot of cool updates, but there are still some pretty basic features that are frustrating. During weekend events you have to harvest and collect a special item to earn points towards the event. (ie: pet food, during the most recent event) However no matter how much time you put into harvesting all weekend, you have to manually collect it or you lose everything. During these events you obviously keep what you have harvested to merge instead of collecting every piece immediately after harvest. If the event ends before you have manually collected everything you lose absolutely all of it. This means hours and hours of merging go to waste. There should definitely be an auto collect feature at the end of events if you do not have the chance to collect manually all your event earnings off of the board. I try so hard some weekends just to be at work and lose it all. It’s also remarkably easy to sell very highly value items on accident. I have tried to sell an emerald grass and accidentally sold a wise dragon. I recommend a more clear and direct pop up box asking to confirm a sell especially for dragons..DayonemergerVersion: 8.1.0

Fun but too many consumablesPros - The premise of this game is a lot of fun if you like collecting things, puzzles, or dragons (who doesn’t!?). There are different kinds of game play with different challenges and rewards (camp v. world map levels). It’s fun to level up the items, especially the dragons. Cons - The problem comes in that at every turn the game is hungry for real cash (dragon greed?) to buy the in game currency. Want to open a (maybe useful) chest? Pay! (Rewards from chest stink? Pay more!) The mining aspect is cool, but beware that the dragons don’t necessarily mine from the highest level things (i.e., level 2 flowers and level 9 flowers... and they’ll pick the level 2 flowers). It’s annoying when the difference between the result of mining from a low level or high level item is dramatic, and you only have so many moves without letting the dragons sleep to recharge (of course, you can pay to wake them). Not spending money is an option... just not if you want to move along at a satisfying pace. Would be a lot more fun IMO if the dragons defaulted to mine highest level things; less consumables or more in-game currency rewarded for achievements; or at least make it so that when one does spend money the “reward” is fair (try opening a low level egg chest? Think it’ll be better to open the big one, right? Well... maybe... though a bunch of rain puddles and some random low level junk didn’t seem worth the equivalent cash)..Micci SnowfallVersion: 1.12.0

Great game ! Gem suggestionsFirst off, I don’t play mobile games for very long because I get bored but Merge Dragons is one of those games that have withstood that. It’s such a soothing game and a great time killer I love playing it every now and then. Theres so many different types of dragons and it’s cool that they offer people a chance to get the premium dragons through events. The only thing that makes it a tiny bit hard is the higher you get, the more harder the quests get and some of them are a bit too hard to do and require dragon gems to do. I wish Merge Dragons gave some ways to earn gems in addition to micro transactions. Some games I’ve seen, have an exchange system and it would be cool to see that in the game. Maybe like 1000coins to 10gems or something and vise versa. Before the game would allow players to work up to a dragon star (which gives gems) during events but they don’t do that anymore... it’s exceedingly hard to collect gems without purchasing micro transactions. I’m stuck on a mission that requires me to open 12 egg chests which the smallest egg chest costs 9 gems to open. And it takes gems to skip a quest too... so I’m stuck with these quests until I somehow get enough gems to finish or skip. Point being, if there was an exchange system for coins to gems and etc, or even just watching videos for gems that would be perfect!.CraytatoVersion: 3.25.1

Played many timesHello, I’ve been playing this game for a long time. Every time I got a new device I would immediately download this game. I love this game so much and I can’t wait to finally get a turtle dragon after years of changing devices. This game never gets boring. So calming to play especially when you have a bad day! I still remember the time when there was a Rick and Morty event that I played and spent all my gems for the egg nest , sadly the game doesn’t have a way of logging into your account like using google to log into the account, every thing will be saved that way I won’t ever have to worry about it again unless hackers or other ways. Other than that it’s a awesome game and I recommend playing it!👋😁 But, when the dragon boat event came I didn’t have 100 dragons but I wanted the dragon Turtle badly, so I rushed to spend coins to buy dragons and then it was still not enough so I decided to use ALL my gems that you start with, then I had enough dragons to play the event and after a few hours of playing the event I got 3 dragons turtle eggs and got a dragon turtle! So if the devs read the message before I updated it, they probably decided to add the event, and if they did then thank you so much 😊. Good game not perfectI think this game overall is addicting but it can also have more items that are can be bought using coins and gems should be easier to get because it’s not fair for the people who have a hard time turning gems not to be able to get them easily so I believe you should have some kind of event where if people pass a certain amount of levels, they get a certain amount of gems so this I believe would be more fair for the people who have a harder time getting germs and can’t afford stuff in the shop that are worth real money and the reason I say that more things should be worth coins is that it’s really hard to get gems like I just explained and also one thing is that I don’t think you should take as long to restore chalices and I don’t think it should be taking as long to get your Dragon soul rest up, so can you can use them and I also think they should have more actions instead of just 2 or3 so that players were trying to heal land quickly are be able to get more life essence but overall I find this game of just like spend your free time doing, but this is what I think you guys can do to make the game better and have more freedom for afford stuff in the game..Ugv ihgiugvyouvuyvouVersion: 10.9.1

Fun, but disappointing aspectsI enjoy playing this game but there are few things that need improvement - like customer service. I received a purple star that wouldn’t open. I contacted cs and they blamed it on my not keeping the app updated. I have it on auto update and told them so. I asked for reimbursement and they said that if they did, the new purple star may not open as well. But, they didn’t try that, so we’ll never know! Then they closed the case file and and reminded me to update the app again. I felt insulted and unsatisfied with their “help”. Another aspect of the game that needs improvement is their events. They were fun for a while, but they never change much. I think they should change it up a bit. Also, it is difficult to see sometimes what keys are required and I have inadvertently tapped on a key I needed to open land, or merged it before using it. A picture of the keys needed for the event put somewhere would be helpful. I would also like to see more and/or different items available to purchase with something other than gems. Lastly, an “undo” button is needed. It is too easy to tap on a Wonder inadvertently and sell it. Great Game! 😍 But there is something..Hello! If I did not have these problems and these suggestions/ideas would’ve been added I honestly would’ve given a 5 star rate. So, first thing is the process saved. I would highly recommend if you would give a update when players delete the game accidentally they don’t have to RESTART. That is very frustrating to me because personally I delete games then continue them in the same process I had before since I’m one of those people who have low storage on keeping social games. And I HATE when I have to restart. Thank you. Second, there isn’t that great quality in this game because I don’t really like when dragons aren’t that detailed. This is just a suggestion to make a higher level of quality in digital animations and the decorations/other. For the suggestions I would like for people to have clubs or groups! It is very nice when you have a large place to socialize in. We still don’t have chats, so at least clubs would be great! And you guys should do events and the club that gets the most is first place on leaderboard. Individual games aren’t that fun in my opinion. Fun but...This is my go to game it is so fun but there are so many consumables there’s way too many jewels that need to be had and if you like me you don’t want to spend your money harder and money on a game. I just don’t understand. So there’s a lot of things that are wrong with this game the chess for one they frustrate me I mine and mine and mine and my poor little dragons only have two and three actions to be had. So now I can’t do much with these chests because for one they’re locked and require you guessed it jams. Then they lose their actions because they cannot go on any longer. Two and three actions for a level III Dragon is not enough especially when I paid so much for their eggs to hatch which by the way requires three of them which is fine but now I spent all my money for two actions. Fun game dragons are adorable and the chalices are horrible like why do I have five houses and the energy waiting of the game makes me not even want to go back because or makes me not even want to play because now I don’t wanna lose all my chalices so it’s play now and wait sixHours. LOVE!I haven’t had this game since I played it on my really old phone, so when I saw the ad for the 10th or so time, I decided to download it and try to be better than I was when I last had it. I downloaded it only a few days ago and I can already see how much it’s evolved. I love it even better and now I actually have things to occupy me while I’m waiting for all the chests and harvesting times. An impatient person may dislike that, but I’m pretty patient when it comes to this game. I have been nearly addicted since I got it, it’s just so amazing and much better than it was. The art and details are beautiful, the programming is perfect, the activities and quests are so fun and challenging, the levels are so awesomely rewarding, and everything is just amazing. And let me say, the fact there is NO. ADS. is so great. The only time you will ever get an ad is when you ask for one to get an extra chalice to play another level, or to wake up a dragon quickly. This is literally almost all I do in my free time now and I’m so happy I have something to fill the space in my empty day with nothing to do. Go to gameI have been playing for quite some time now, the kids even say to me mom your playing merge dragons aren't you. They even helped me play my game when I would hand them my phone to keep occupied if they forgot there tablets. I like the chances of being able to get premium dragons and items with the events. I really like that you can place things the way you want it and make it your own style. I have kept my at least 7 wonders in my dragon camp, and working on getting a bunch more. They give wonderful rewards when completing them and continuously. The friend gifting experience has even gotten better where you can see if a gift is waiting for you. It would be nice if the link to Facebook was better, I haven’t been able to do it for some time now. I wish there was a contest for dragon ideas, best dragon drawn maybe gets the final stage of that dragon as a reward and the choice of its name like if you wanted to call it Penelope or what ever they wanted to name it. So many likes and so many ideas. I don’t write many reviews so I am sorry that I have gone long or off topic. My love is quickly ending...I do LOVE this game! BUT.... like the majority of the reviews say, everything is extremely high. There are few opportunities to earn gems. Also, if I work for weeks or months to get my chest to the highest level... I should be able to open the egg chests that emerge from it for FREE instead of having to pay a ridiculously high amount of gems to open them. The hard work in this game is NOT WORTH IT! There also needs to be a revamp in the chalice system. If I beat a level, I should be able to replay the levels for maybe 1 chalice. There should be a way, like most games, to level up your max amount of chalices. Maybe when you unlock a new piece of land? It takes 50 minutes to restore 1 chalice and some levels are all 7 chalices to play, which results in 1 level in 5 1/2 hours. I have beaten all of the levels, now I’m trying to get all stars and the challenges are hard to complete. But I lose interest when I can’t beat it and I have to wait several hours to play again. Considering every review has something along these lines, there will clearly not be a change unless perhaps someone else creates a similar game for competition. Very fun!This game is way more fun than you’d think it would be and there’s strategy involved as well. You can manage growth even if you don’t spend which isn’t something you can say for many games these days. I can’t say enough good things about this game and the developers as a whole. Their customer support is very friendly and attentive as well. Just download it and enjoy! *Edit* I just happened to read some of the reviews and wow, some people just aren’t aware of all the ways this game addresses things they complain about. Gems? There are ways to earn gems pretty easily and you’d never have to spend a dime. People just don’t seem to realize that every star has a 5% chance of being a dragon star and that they should merge them up. So you can literally farm gems for free. Storage? You can bubble items. Selling high level items by mistake? Enable the “tap confirm” option that already exists. Events too tedious? Don’t do them, you don’t have to. Didn’t collect event items? The event lasts three days - set a timer. Great game, poor executionSeeing the ads that constantly ruined my gaming in other apps, and noting the simple yet addicting mechanic, concept, and DRAGONS, I thought huh, this looks like something I ought’a try. So, I went and downloaded it, and my feedback is as follows. The “word bubbles”, for lack of better description, and the text therein were horribly cluttered and somewhat annoying. I couldn’t help but hear them read in a terrible, cliché protaganist voice. The naming might need work, but that’s just my opinion. Yes, the dragging is an absolute drag, but so are the wait times. Wait for your dragons to sleep, wait for more chalices, wait for things to pick up the pace... The game has great bones, I’ll give you guys that, but it still feels like a beta playthrough. It only needs some polishing, but when it gets that, I can promise a lot of people will consider picking it up again. *EDIT* After going through a bit, the drag time was so much smoother. Wait times remain annoying, but leaving the game and revisiting later is the remedy. However, dragon gems remain a pain to collect. (Not to mention some of the prices for in-game items. If dragon gems were easier to obtain, they might be reasonable, but the pricing gets pretty absurd. Maybe a coin-to-gem transaction could exist? Just a suggestion.) Love the game but hate the greed.This game can quickly become addicting. However, once the newness wears away, you notice how stacked certain things are. Dragon egg prices as well as most of the items in the store increase with each purchase. That’s frustrating. Worse are the bonus games that run for about three days. I don’t bother anymore. You cannot get ahead without buying chests to unlock the shadow keys. So I either spend hours upon hours creating large life orbs and can barely clear the first area or I try to mine whatever it is that gets me points for prizes. Again, extremely tedious work that consumes most of your day. I understand that this is a game for us and a business however when you spend weeks saving your yellow stars up to final merge to the biggest star and you get one flower, one small blue life orb, and a ton of locked boxes that cost a lot of gems, it feels greedy. I’m willing to spend money on the game but I can’t afford $100 a pop just to open a few boxes or to get somewhere in the bonus games. Wants too much $ but...Has dragon chests that require hundreds of gems to open available immediately and taking up room in your spot cannot be merged unless identical but no instruction is given on how to merge gems to create more so therefore it is impossible to get more gems without buying them. That being said coins are fairly easy to obtain by just playing the game and not investing any actual real life world dollars. My personal policy is not to spend any money on a free game until played it for at least six months. When you decide to start this game make sure you link with FB to save especially if you have invested any money. I also recommend taking screenshots as wide as possible and occasional pictures of your dragon book pages. Enjoyable gameThe game is enjoyable. There’s plenty of events and tasks to win things. And lots of different “worlds” to go to, to gain prizes. The new “wild lands” event is nice, gives lots of opportunities to gain more dragons and power. And whatever update they did to it, made the event so much better. The update with Arcadia helped in a way too, tho I still think the work to reward ratio on Arcadia could use some work. The chests they give, don’t give specific items you’re needing to merge. And the only way to obtain them is to merge the chests. Which I’m theory is fine. Except that you only get a chest maybe every 3 days to a week. So if you wanted to merge your chests, would probably take a month to get a good one. And now they let the dragons move around and do tasks. But they only do like 1 task. Then they sleep for 3 days. But other than that, the reward to work ration isn’t tragic. They have lots of little things you can do that gives you eggs or dragons. And they’re reasonably generous with it. Fun but too often frustratingThe game mechanic and the combination of puzzle levels with a farming/resource management home base is great! It’s also visually very cute. But....there is a real issue with the game having far too many things you can only do by spending “dragon points” which are almost impossible to get without spending significant sums of real world money. If the game provided more regular ways to earn these points, or if you could buy them with the in-game coins instead of real money it would be so much better. Also, it’s really irritating when you’re trying to stockpile a resource in the game and your dragons keep farming either the lowest levels of that item (which greatly slows down how much you build up) or random other stuff that just takes up valuable limited space. The dragons should, as others have said, default to harvesting from the highest level items available, but there also ought to be a catalogue you can open up of the stuff you have in your camp where you can set what your dragons will and won’t harvest from on their own. Ok but a few problemsI love this game. I was super addicted when I first got it and I played it for like MONTHS. But on day I got on my phone and the game was just gone. Poof, gone. I love this game.I have been playing this most of my childhood and recently found it again. This game is an offline or online game, not a multiplayer but you can visit your friends islands. I only have a few complaints, first some map levels take 7 chalices and you only get 7 without waiting for more, it is also extremely hard to get a decent amount of gems without spending money, on the dragon quests if you accidentally click on an extra bag you spend gems and there is no way to fix that as a player, there is a ton of events but they only last a couple days so it’s hard to advance if you have other stuff to do. I believe that is all for complaints. Here’s some tips for players, don’t spend your free gems that 200 something runs out fast, always do the map challenges till you get all the dragons, don’t use the life orbs as soon as you harvest them it’s much better to save and merge them to get better ones, it takes a lot longer but it’s worth it, go to settings and change it to your liking so that there aren’t any accidents. Pretty goodPretty good game. It’s fun to play a little at a time when ever your bored. The only problem, and reason for four stars, is the length of time it takes to get chalices. Chalices are what allows you to play levels, some levels only require 1 or 2 but most require 5 or more. You only have a max of 7 and they take an hour to regenerate so you beat one level and now you have to wait all day to beat another when they only take a minute or two to beat. The gem system is a little weird to, most games that have a system like this will change the amount of gems based on the time remaining. For instance you could start at 1 hour and need 50 gems to finish it now or wait and when you get to 3 minutes you might only need 5 gems. Not this game. If your time is an hour and it costs 50 gems it will still cost 50 gems when you literally only have 1 second left. Edit: I’m getting towards the end of the game and I do like that they put in some events every couple of days that help progress the game and give you something to do. But it the late game each level takes 7 chalices which means you can maybe beat 1 or 2 levels a day unless you use gems. Fun but could use some work.Overall I’d say that this is a fun and enjoyable game, but there are few things in that could be changed. Firstly, I think there needs to be some sort of undo button to when you accidentally merge things you didn’t want merged because I am constantly accidentally merging stuff and it’s really annoying. Secondly, I am always accidentally activating items just by tapping them a single time, so I think that there should be some sort of double-tap option so you can confirm that you actually want to activate it rather than activating it accidentally. Thirdly, I think if you’re in the middle of a level, and you exited it but didn’t restart it, you shouldn’t have to pay the chalices again just to continue where you left off. Now this may just be me being imprecise, but I’m often accidentally tapping the exit level button instead of the restart button, so I have to wait like four hours just to go in the level and restart it then have to wait another four hours to be able to actually play the level again in the beginning. This is my “Number 1” Game... butLove this game. Love my Dragons. Spend many hours and much money playing. I would give 5 solid stars except for the following. Im honestly I’m about to delete it. I’ve been stuck on the same Chalice Challenge and no longer go out “into the world” There is no way to bypass and I am severely frustrated every time I attempt it. Now I solely farm my camp. Updates have ruined the gameI’ve had this game since February and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t experience any problems until they recently started to update it. The game started to run slower (even on a new updates phone) and it became frustrating when things I didn’t want to merge would automatically merge when I dragged item across the screen and it would freeze. It drains my battery really fast and makes my phone hot. I had a problem with this June 2018 event where eventually BOTH my red dragons disappeared behind these new mystic cloud features they’re utilizing. I trashed all my healing items I could’ve used in order to reach them and get them out (hopefully) because the way I play events, I clear a good amount of land and then trash all harvestable items except the ones the dragons can harvest for points so I can just leave my phone alone while they do their thing. I was okay with just one dragon but then I eventually lose both of them! I contacted support on the app and they addressed the other problem I had and not the one about the event. I sent an email to support and they haven’t gotten back yet. I’ve never been so angry at this game and their updates. StorageI've been playing this game pretty much since it first came out, and I love it! Years later and I still play it. I know on one review I left some suggestions and eventually the developers added them in, so I have another consideration to improve the game: storage. Like, for anything, not just coin/silver storage. I have trees, flowers, eggs, buildings, chests, dead trees, coins, rare items, rewards, etc that I like to complete the merge chains on but either don't have space to do, or my dragons harvest the wrong item because they're on screen at the same time (I.e, harvesting from life flowers instead of stone sources when I'm trying to build dragon homes.) I don't want to delete or sell these items, but they take up a lot of space (especially the wonders!) Having a storage option, or the wonders going to their own island when they're unlocked, would be helpful. You could even make it so people can spend gems on increasing general storage after an initial level (five-twenty items,) so the game isn't losing money in anyway. Game Ideas!!!!!This game is fun! My friend got me playing it. We’ve been playin it for a couple months now and we’ve noticed a few things that would make the game even better. Like being able to select specific things the player wants to select and it being locked on the grid square or unlocking it at the users choice. Say I wanted my fruit trees to stay in a specific place. The player should be able to select that item and choose to lock it there and it not move if you accidentally grab it or be able to unlock it and move it . I also think that if the gift giving was changed, the game play would be much more fun. For example, say I have too much of one thing on my islands weather that be eggs, fruit trees, dragons, stones, life tree, ...etc. if the game was changed so the player could select a specific item on his/her island so that could be then gifted to another player. I believe players would level up faster, heal dead land, and even possibly remove the evil fog but players will most definitely be able to get to WONDER items more quickly then what it is right now. Great game but too many things cost gemsI really enjoy this game I’ve been playing for almost a year. However I’m giving it 3 stars because the amount of things/chests you get that require gems to open is kind of absurd. Like even when you complete a trade with Kala you’ll end up with 1 egg and 2 chests that require 25-50 gems to open. Sometimes even when you open free chests you’ll get like 2 coins and 1-2 chests that need gems to open. It’s really like they’re adding more and more things that require gems. Money grabs are getting oldIt’s a fun game, good for some mindless grinding between levels with nice graphics. That being said, the grasping for money is starting to irritate me. I happily dropped the cash for the land upgrades, the bonus gem packs they give you when you first play, and the monthly ‘daily gem’ packs, because I enjoy the game and I wanted to support it. But with every update, it seems like they’re getting more and more money hungry. For example, I just finished my daily gem pack which has been $3.99 for 40 gems a day for as long as I’ve been playing, and when I went to repurchase, it has been changed to $3.99 for 25 gems a day. That’s a drop of 450 gems. I’m sure the others have changed as well. They also made it harder to play the events and make it impossible to advance without spending real cash, as you can’t complete some quests unless you have thousands of gems. How about instead of forcing the exact same event on us over and over, you give us some more land for cash in our camps? I would definitely spend money on that, but not on the sad little bonus packs offered during events. Increase the gems offered for purchase without raising the price. Addicting But Needs ImprovementIt's a fun game, but there are glaring issues that distract from it being great. Mainly, the cost of items is on the high side. As well, the drop rates are nice at first, then become all about making you spend money. Latest patch only made things more expensive. They give you so many premium currency chests without ways to really gain that currency after the first portion of the game so your camp is full of stuff you have to sell for nothing or pay handsomely for in real world money. $6.99 for a starter island... Well you can see where it's going. If you want to get people spending money in the game so they continue to spend, you need some low-price high value feeders. Edit: Also, now the $6.99 island at least shows what you get, but it also says it's -58% off? Uhmm, you can't just say something is on sale when it was never higher to begin with, there are laws against that. I know they could say it costs 58% less than if you bought gems and got that stuff, but given that it's a unique area it's not comparable to other items/prices and the way it's displayed is not indicative of that. Terrible company decisionsI’ve been playing Merge Dragons for not quite a year at this point. I log in and play for at least a little bit every day. I play every event and do my best to complete them, even if it means I can’t play other games and complete their events. I’ve been fairly happy with the game. And now, I have zero incentive to actually continue playing. The company- for some business reason I’m sure- decided that a group of players wouldn’t be able to play the camp and chill event the last two times it has run. I am in that group excluded from the event without warning, discussion, or permission. This event has useful rewards, some of which are exclusive. It was an event that guaranteed me spending a lot of time playing the game as I strove to collect what I needed to finish the event. But now, I wonder why should I continue to play a game run by a company that can arbitrarily decide that a random group of players can’t play an event? Prior to these shenanigans, I would have said that the game is fun and doesn’t require a lot of effort. There are different events and activities that can keep a player busy without boring them. Not Happy...Okay I just want to start off by saying, I used to love this game. I love the merging aspect and all the dragons are so cute. However, I am currently a very high level with only one space not unlocked on my home island. I know a lot of others have also expressed what I’m about to say but, we haven’t gotten any new maps in a very long time, so we have to keep redoing the old ones over and over. Also recently for the events on weekends, which I used to look forward to, I hate. The last several events I have gotten two rock dragons to use, which are extremely slow, and my point value system is lowered. I haven’t be able to complete the maps like I used to because I don’t have the time to sit on the game all weekend to farm. I wish the creators would pay attention to all the people who have been trying to voice their opinions on how to make this game more enjoyable. I know it’s probably expensive and time consuming but a new map system would be nice. Like maybe a way to have like a second version of all the islands for us to redo with different rewards. Another thing the weekend events would probably be much more enjoyable for everyone if you would give us better dragons. Even if the point system is docked with better dragons we can work faster and it wouldn’t be such a pain. Fun game but way too many problems that need fixingLike other reviews say, the only way to play the game at a slightly faster pace is if you spend real money on in game perks. I won’t go too into detail about that since a lot of reviews already covered that, but I’ve only seen a few mention the problem with the chalices. Waiting an HOUR just for one chalice is insane, especially when most levels require you to spend 6 or 7 chalices the farther you go. So you have to wait 6 or 7 hours just to play ONE level. Then you have to wait another 7 hours to play the next level. And there’s only so much you can do at camp until all of your dragons sleep after harvesting just a few items. It takes way too long to barely advance in the game. If you want people to actually play the game, I suggest fixing the issue with the chalices. It takes way too long just to get a chalice and the amount of chalices needed to play a level is ridiculous. If you’re going to make the cost of levels all 7 chalices, you need to reduce the wait time for chalices from an hour to fifteen or twenty minutes. I really want to love this game but I may end up deleting it because of how frustrating it is. The game requires you to invest a lot of time (and potentially money) for very little reward. Greedy, Psychologically ManipulativeStay AWAY from this thing. Many apps are greedy, this one is just screwed up. Every time you’re close to a goal, they send a “parachute” into your game world with the item you need for premium currency. Sometimes when merging items, you get “lucky” ie: you get a bonus item that you have to pay premium currency for or else it disappears. There is land that constantly says “tap” and if you tap it you are informed that you must pay real money for it. You can’t make it go away or hide it. You will always have this eyesore if you don’t cough up five bucks. Your dragons often find chests from gathering that would be a fun reward, if you didn’t have to pay to open them. But the straw that broke the camel’s back for me was the shrine. You have to slowly build up “wishes” by playing the game and along the way you unlock items that will be given to you once you finish the shrine. You’re informed that to receive them at the end you will have to use the premium currency. Fine. I’ll try and save. I do the work, earn all ten levels of the shrine, expecting to sit at complete for a while as I work to get the currency… and then boom. The game informs you out of nowhere that if you don’t cough up all of the currency within 24 hours all of your progress will disappear. This game beats you over the head with its monetization. Chalice Cost, Skipping Quests, and MushroomsFirst off: I enjoy this game, it is one of my favorites! However, some aspects of the game are rather poor and frustrating to deal with! For example: In the latest patch the update stated that Chalices now cost less, however, they didn’t mention that levels now cost more Chalices to play! This means you cannot easily go back and replay a level, farming for the prizes, without having to spend real money to get it done quickly. This is almost punishing players for playing the same levels over and over (their own choice/decision to do so) in order to get them to either 1) not play the same levels or 2) get them to spend more money. Secondly, the option to skip quests is wonderful! If only it was free to do instead of costing gems! Some quests are glitched (prism flower one) while others want you to open egg chests (all costing gems) which makes it hard to complete quests in the camp. Finally, mushrooms! Mushrooms have no end wonder, therefore they’re hardly useful, but dragons seem to be obsessed with harvesting them! I would love a way to instruct the dragons to avoid automatically harvesting from certain items, when left to their own thing, the dragons happily fill up the camp with mushrooms and other unneeded items! Dragons newly falling asleepWhy since the update is it glitchy and freezes periodically and my dragons stay asleep. I’ve played for over a yr and had gotten so many dragons and upgraded them so high that I always played for hours a day and never had to wait on dragons to rest. You just have to get past the young dragon phase at the beginning of the game. Lasted a few days of gaming for me. Misleading and terribleThis game looks really good in both the add and the reviews, but is a huge let down. My biggest problem with it is that the levels each require these things called “chalices”, but they refill about once per day, and you need seven to play one level sometimes. And if you finish a level, it doesn’t give you a chalice, it just takes them and makes you wait another day. It also is really cheap looking and makes you wait for a small payoff. This game is going downhillThis past 1.5yrs now with this game has been nothing but nonsense. Losing my account and then being reimbursed only for my gems, purchases and dragon power because I had screenshots. They wouldn’t give back any of my wonders or progress so I had to start over with Arcadia, Dragon Home, levels and in camp. I lost a wonder a little while ago but they were able to give that back but a year ago they refused to give me anything back even though I had screenshots of everything.
