What a blast!This game is fantastic. Finally a game where there’s no energy, tiered hero summoning garbage and nonstop ads. This game is a classic dragon quest/final fantasy like RPG. The combat is satisfying and it has a great job (class) system in place to keep you exploring different builds for your squad. Leveling up isn’t a grind, it’s really at the perfect pace to keep me playing without getting bored. The story is well done and the characters are comical and fun. Like I said above, the ads only interrupt me once in awhile and i hardly even notice. The devs did a great job with this little gem. I’ll be supporting them soon with the in game store. Overall, if you like turn based rpgs then you’re gonna love this game. My only complaint is that the music isn’t very varied which is a shame cause I like the few tracks they have, but they just repeat over and over. Not a big deal because I can just turn it off. Good but could improveBefore I start I really love the games you guys make and have been playing them since I was 10. This is great and the characters have a lot of personality. The combat animation are pretty cool and the addition of different jobs is great but some of them get confusing I can’t tell if some jobs just upgrade others or if they’re their own thing also The game can be clearer on how to use certain mechanics like the wind lapis. Also, I know it’s like this for almost all kemco games other than justice chronicles but I don’t like that you can only have 4 usable characters. Part of what I think makes up a lot of good mobile rpgs whether they be ones like this or chess board ones is the ability to changes what characters you have. And another 3 good things I found is the fact to that the vanguard changes how much damage characters take and that tactics decide what characters focus on I battle. The last good thing I found (by the way even though this game has lots of great aspects these at the ones I really liked) Was that you can make decisions on what you say in the story some times. I don’t know if it affects the story yet but it’s still cool you guys put that in. Nostalgic and addictingI was skeptical at first with this game, but after a few hours of playing I’m reminded of all the games I enjoyed growing up. It almost feels like a collective of all the rpg Gameboy games I grew up with mashed into a single mobile game. The dialogue is well thought out and hilarious to the point where I actually read through it all. There’s no intrusive ads that pop-up every possible chance, it’s minimal to the point where it isn’t a bother. It’s definitely not a pay-to-win like most games you find on the App Store, but you have the option to indulge if you wish to do so. I rarely write reviews, but I thought I’d take the time to give this game a proper review. Edit: 8 hours of gameplay later, the in-game characters mention that the amount of ads in game are going to increase. And that is definitely no joke. Every 2 battles I receive an ad, every time I save I receive an ad, navigating the menu I receive an ad. There’s even a button now present on the game screen to remove ads which remains there. The first few hours of gameplay had very little ads, but now the ads are intrusive and appear to pop out at every single opportunity..KonoaoiVersion: 1.1.0

Moments of brillianceThis game has the honest feel of those old RPG’s, a fantastic balance when it comes to leveling, increasing the strength of monsters and not needing to stop to just grind out a few levels. I’m surprised and impressed enough I’ll be looking at other games this crew has made. ALSO…….. This game has the single best of all time way of doing that annoying “please rate and review our game” thing that literally had me cracking up and getting strange looks from other people as I laughed at my phone. In the future I would like to see a “search” command. Some of the oldies had it where you could “search” the spot you were standing and maybe find some cool secret item. But as far as challenge balance, story, humor… stay where you’re at. This game is much more fun than I dared to hope. One of the best RPGs(personal opinion)I myself thinks that this is a very good game due to how I have also enjoyed dragon sinker, the creator(s)( I don’t know if this is indie or AAA game) are doing a nice job of making this game, I know I shouldn’t do this but i want to say in my opinion, it’s kind of lacking in some places, like the boss sprites, it’s all dragons, until you go into battle, then they are different. But, other Th en that I have no problems with it. I am okay with the use of sprite indicating that it’s boss, but it’s the monsters are almost all recolors of dragon sinker enemy, which is okay it’s just I wish that there’s a lot more variety looking sprites for the enemy, but I also understand that this is suppose to be an simple game with good story in it. What ever anyone’s opinion are, you are doing great creators of the game, I really enjoy this game(also I feel bad for Iria, I clicked do it later and then she got sad, so yeah that’s another reason this review exists I guess other then my opinion). BrilliantLoved the review skit! But I’ve always been obsessed with retro rpg’s, and this review is for the storyline and everything. Although some things were confusing, pretty much everything was covered under the Help area. A bit baffled by plate skills and what to do when it says they are ‘usable’, such as for Lucas, such as the skill called ‘berserk’? Or ‘crazed strike’? I really don’t know and don’t know where to find help or explanations for them. Got them from a berserker plate and skills don’t unequip do they. They don’t seem to work. Maybe it’s because of their current job, and will work if I switch jobs? I don’t see a way to contact any support but I guess everything else I pretty much understand, or will understand after some time. It’s nice, it’s intuitive! But I’m glad it takes little space, and for a free app, I am very pleased (more than satisfied) with the quality and what’s available. Even if there’s an ad. But it’s very unobtrusive I assure you. But after a certain point another skit warns of more ads. I haven’t really noticed any in my face, except the ‘no ads’ ad doesn’t go away in the left corner. But what I’m more concerned about is the loading time gets 2-3x longer after that skit. Not sure if it’s to do with the ads or with that certain point in the story though. Around the Adria desert. Pretty fun!Overall, I’m enjoying what I’ve been able to play so far. The only real nitpick I have is the dialogue between characters. I understand some of the characters are based on certain archetypes and dynamics. Admittedly, I’m not really into the whole “blushing girl and trying to make the older guy a pervert” thing, but this also is where the dialogue really drags on anyways. Even the dialogue for writing a review could also have be been cut by half. Thinking back on it, I think the main problem is that the dialogue often tries to make the same joke multiple times in one interaction. Like, great, it’s bad that Melvin smells, but it keeps going on and on about it without changing the subject. So the core part of the dialogue is okay, but since it’s being bludgeoned to death, it’s not good. Idk just end the interaction the first time the “punchline” is dropped..E.H.1Version: 1.1.0

Fun, Funny, and the best kind Of FreeYou never know where the story is going to go with Dragon Lapis, and that is a good thing! The best feel of classic pixel JRPGs, but with just enough innovation to remain interesting even between the story scenes. There are multiple currencies at play - EP for stats and skills, coins for special items, and LPP for freemium bonuses - but they come together well to let you build your characters naturally. And the LPP? Drops at a comfortable rate in battle, can be earned with triggered ads, or purchased as desired. No in-game ads or “bonus” ads; just the LPP one if you feel like it. EDIT: There does come a point about half way through where Ads do begin displaying. I will update with more info as I play further. The controls are also really fluid on the touch screen. I prefer the virtual joystick and button, and it just feels perfect. Give Dragon Lapis a look, and be continually pleasantly surprised..Paper DollsVersion: 1.1.0

Great gameI can’t believe I’m saying this, but here’s an ad-supported game where the ads are actually NOT intrusive!! There’s no incessant interruption, there’s no pay-to-win, there’s no bait and switch. It feels like the developers care about the game they’re putting out. It’s actually a well made game, on iPhone! Now on to the game itself. I was torn at first between saying the story was either too generic or not generic enough. However, I’m far enough into it that I can say that it just feels like it’s how it should be. The mechanics were new to me, but made sense after a while. The characters are distinct and hilarious, with solid personalities. My only complaint is the lack of a glossary to explain some of the battle abbreviations used. A Wonderful Successor/Sequel To Dragon SinkerWhen I first downloaded this game, I was hoping that it was at least inspired by another Kemco game, Dragon Sinker. Once I played it, my suspicions were confirmed. I’m VERY happy with the results; this game has improved upon its predecessor in virtually every way. The graphics, the job system, the gameplay, all are improved. A unexpected but very pleasant perk is that it took some of the bonuses that you could purchase in the previous game with special points and incorporated them into the job classes (such as the 50% drop rate put into the thief class). If there was one complaint to give, the controller layout is a little weird, and not as responsive at it was in previous games. Great GameThis game is very good game. The story is great and this game is unique in its own way. I thing I really like about this game is that it not pay to play (sure there are in app purchases but they aren't required to reach the end besides they make the game easier and more experimental with items such as the critical ring, and you can get these items without pay actually money using in game currency that rarely drop from monsters). This game also has a good story involved unlike other rpg's (specifically idle rpg that other people play instead of a non-idle rpg.) *Note* Idle Rpg's can be fun in their own way. It's a shame that there isn't much attention for this game. Great gameFor a free game, this is awesome. It seems like a very in depth story and there is enough dialogue that you can feel for the characters, but not so much that it drowns you. Kudos to you game devs. Although the whole situation about writing a review for the game was a little long, but it was funny and probably more effective than a pop up. I’m going to play this all the way through, and thank you for the enjoyable experience. Edit: I do have two problems with the game. First of all, the game is quite repetitive, especially at the end. And second, Iria becomes too strong. When I fought the second to last boss, as soon as Iria got her turn, the boss was dead, and the same thing almost happened on the final boss. Best JRPG on the marketWhether or not it is a JRPG or not, it takes the crown. This is as good if not better than FFI, II, IV (all time favorite btw) and VI. It is as engaging as Fire Emblem 2 and FFIV, where you love the cast from the start. Battle is fair, items drop easily and the UI is fantastic. Great balance between sorry and grinding. How a company like Squareenix can charge $20 for a half-developed port just doesn’t make sense anymore. I already put $30 into the game, you guys deserve it and more. Thanks for making such a perfect product. I will say one thing: if you could get the plates to stack, instead of filling next to each other, it would make organizing them much easier. Enjoyable game with fun charactersFor class I had to play JRPG’s and write about them, this got me interested in playing more than those the professor gave on the list so I looked some up to play on my plane ride home. I found this one because it was free and the graphics interested me. Playing through, I think I made a good choice in trying it out. The characters are all enjoyable and have a developing personality through the story. The only issue I had at first was it took me a bit to figure out how the plates work, and until I did the fights became very difficult to handle. As well, the AI pathfinding can be a bit clunky sometimes where the chosen route leads the player into a wall. Overall, the gameplay is fun and well developed, the art style is nicely done, and locations are a bit more real than most other JRPG’s I’ve been playing. Here, people in towns are often less than friendly and have more negative goals. I have recommended the game to a few friends and I have thoroughly enjoyed playing it. The snuggle is realI love these devs, and this has to be their best title. Old-school RPG goodness with the least intrusive ads you might find - I have seen one or maybe two in some six hours of gameplay, and it was of the variety that you click out after five seconds. Clean and smooth, I like what I have seen so far. No energy system, no crashing, just play and grind (if you want) until your eyes bleed. Great story, humorous dialogue, and your character’s growth appears to be unlimited. Your shameless request for a review was so creative, I felt compelled to leave ALL the stars! Too Good for a Free GameIt’s not the most perfect game but its simplicity and straight forward game play is nostalgia inducing. Feels like a solid jrpg game, what can I say? The battle system is self explanatory and fun. Auto battle is included which makes grinding easier. Game mechanics are fun to work with once you understand how it works. The story flow is decent and the characters are lovable. To sum it up, there’s plenty of content to keep you going, I love it. It’s a charming retro style game, I can tell the developers poured their love into the game. The only part that slightly annoyed me are the long cut scenes, like the one that broke the forth wall and had me writing this review ;). Nastalgia with a pinch of originalityI definitely downloaded the game thinking that it was going to be the usual let down game that we seem to find all too often in the App Store. However, after playing and beating the game I can honestly say it is definitely 5 star worthy. It brings me back to the days of spending way too much time on my gameboy advance playing Pokémon and dragon quest. Although the game does bring a refreshing storyline into the mix and keeps the characters interesting as well as the game play. Much better than the prequel.Dragon sinker might have been the worst game I’ve ever played of all time because of the ads. This one however was put together much better. Still lots of ads, but they don’t interfere with gameplay :) passable story and characters...though they seem excessively hostile to Melvin for no reason. Very few crashes even during several hours of playing. The only thing is...I completed the extra tower dungeon before going to the last couple areas in the game...breezing through the final dungeons easily and making all items in them completely useless. Retro feverThe game definitely has the Dragon Quest/ Final Fantasy feel of 8-bit era, with the modern humor and writing tropes of current gen games. The music becomes repetitive, however. I would have liked the growth plate system to be streamlined a bit more, as it is not evident how to expand the nodes within a plate, or what the benefits of maxing out the same plate over and over does for skills. Also having the plates stack in the inventory would’ve been nice, instead of having pages and pages of the commonly dropped plates to cycle through. Fun old school rpgCool character build mechanics. Story is decent, but not finished with the game yet. Some dialogue drags, but overall fun and entertaining. Update: just finished up the whole thing and I would recommend this to any serious old school rpg fan. If you’re like me and have memories of playing dragon warrior and final fantasy on nes as a child and still enjoy revisiting the style and simplicity of these classic games, then this is a fun time. I do think that the dungeons get monotonous (no spoilers but there’s a certain tower that would test the patience of Perseus), and the dialogue can be predictable and long winded, but overall it’s worth the grind if this is your kind of thing..Commander BMFVersion: 1.1.0

Really interestingThe game is definitely your standard rpg with the plot and turn-based combat, but the growth plate system brings a breath of fresh air amongst a bunch of stagnant self-replicating rpg’s that simply don’t have any real uniqueness to their skill systems and gameplay. The characters so far are interesting and funny, although the choices are a bit suffocating being only a 50/50 system, which is why I bring it down a star. I just hit the first review event, and I thought it was smart to have the characters ask instead of having the device use a pop up like almost all other rpg’s do. True mobile RPG experienceI will say for this game, I’m not usually a fan of this genre when it comes to it being mobile (mainly because it can get complex and too many characters can overwhelming). This game sticks with 4 characters, but you can change their skills and builds with jobs. This makes it pretty simplistic in design and develop connections with the characters, but also provide some exploratory skill sets. The story is also well developed and has an interesting plot. Old school JRPG funThis really tickled my itch for an old school final fantasy like game. Kudos to the creators. Can be played in full without paying anything, but they turn up the ads after about 8 hours of gameplay ... a fair trade. It’d be perfect if there were moreI love playing this game, but I feel like there should be more along with the lottery, LPP, etc. Something like a mini game or more puzzles like the hidden room in the churches. Other than that, I think it’s important to be able to know what the individual stats do like which stats affects a character’s turn bar speed, or guides on shops and whatnot for people not used to RPG games. Great storylineI almost NEVER pay attention to the story on RPG games like this but this game definitely is unique. I love the fact you can choose what they can say for funny reactions or to be serious depending on how you are feeling and neither option will affect the game differently, they are just there for comedic purposes. Poor controls, but great game otherwise!I am an old-school gamer, so I love apps like this. I also like playing these with a set of controls that I fine usable. So, I never did like the “tap to move here” idea, it just makes things too tough - I get more control with a real joypad. There actually IS a real joypad in this game, but it is stuck in the middle of the screen! I have to hold my ipad while playing, and it becomes difficult to do that if I have to stretch my hand across to the middle of the screen the whole time. How hard would it have been to put the joypad on the LEFT? I already know the answer: not very hard at all, because Kemco does this for most of their other games. This one problem makes the game harder to play and less enjoyable. I hope they fix this before I finish playing. Iria asked me nicely 😁For a fan of the jrpg genre, this game has not disappointed. I love everything about it, from the art style that i soo dearly miss in games. To the diversity of character customization and gameplay mechanics. I myself am a game designer and this hits right home. Witty and Fun AdventureThis game eats up my time, mostly due to my love of old Final Fantasy JRPG’s. The characters are fleshed out and lovable. Wish there was more of an impact with your adventure, and it was a little more difficult. I had to restart a few times but not a lot of the time. AcceptableThis game is trying to be like the early final Fantasy games and it does a fairly decent job of it. Game mechanics are ok, but I wish the cut scenes were skippable as they get a little tedious. Also, when I you reach a certain point in the game (about 7 hours in for me) your party will stop what they are doing, address the player directly and ask for a review. It’s a three minute mandatory cut scene asking for a review. Including a link to the App Store and everything, if you say no they beg some more. Fantastic Game!10/10 would recommend! I have only just started this game and already it ticks practically all of the boxes for me! Great music, good story, excellent graphics, good controls, no ads stuffed down your throat. Seriously, I haven’t even gotten to combat (will update later) and Dragon Lapis is better than some of the free games released by companies like Sega and Square Enix. Great retro gameI love these types of games the most. The earlier Final Fantasy series games and the games that are similar to them are my favorites. A decent game to enjoy.Like the game, story is average, characters are ok, this turn base game is what I like but what I dislike is there is a bridge path of the game in the beginning where the jump in enemy difficulty is insane I somehow got like halfway in and realized the enemies one shot my characters and yes I read the sign “Beware of monsters” but come on I like to explore. The process of making it back to safety included dying 27 times to enemies where I was sent to the starting screen each time, almost restarted the whole game but somehow made it. Bwahaha! Nice way to get a review.Been playing the game for three hours now and enjoy the gameplay. The story is very generic (ancient power reawakened after 1000 years) but I enjoy the use of growth plates for stat ups and the job system. Some stat-ups/downs in battle are a little confusing and status effects are sometimes unclear (it took a bit to understand what Curse status did) but otherwise ‘em the battle system is pretty intuitive. Fun fun fun! Did I mention fun?So I was on the App Store looking for a cool new RPG when this came up. As I started playing, I wasn’t too sure about it. Now? COOLEST GAME EVER! I get really excited when I go to new places and love the feeling of battling monsters. Great game, battle sequences, and storyI really love this game and haven’t been able to put it down! I love that there aren’t any ads except the banner at the bottom and I feel like the battle system is so well thought out and original that it keeps me playing. Fun retro gameThis feels a little like the Sega Genesis rpg games of old. I like not having to choose my party from a hundred characters and using the growth plates to improve characters. The story has been fun, the combat is challenging at times but definitely winnable. One note when buying a weapon/armor- As of right now, you buy the new weapon/armor, then have to exit the dialogue with the merchant and go into the menu to equip it. Good Classic RPG ExperienceThe game is entertaining and the battle system is like others so it is very familiar to pick up and play. The growth plate system is good. It could use some balance and tweaks, but overall it’s a good premis. Great Free RPG GameThe game is a decent RPG without the nonsense of a gatcha like the ff mobile game. Ads only come on when you save and they’re not the annoying 30 second long ones. The only problem I have is that the story could be improved a bit. Also maybe change the choices a bit because whichever choices I pick the people will try to put you in the best light. Funniest humor ever!I absolutely LOVE this game. Even though I’m getting to the 2nd Lapis, the amount of humor is so good! I like all the characters!
