Flora is a new way to stay off your phone, clear to-do lists, and build positive, life-changing habits. Whenever you want to make progress towards your goals, plant a seed in Flora. As you work hard, the seed will grow into a healthy tree. Let the tree be your coach and grow yourself with it. You will be amazed by how great you can be.

FOCUS TREES

Have trouble putting down the phone? Flora blocks distracting apps in a pleasant way to help you focus on what’s more important in real life. If you cannot resist the temptation of using your phone and leave the app while growing a tree, the tree will be killed! But if succeeding, you'll unlock new trees.

DOUBLE EFFICIENCY WITH FRIENDS

Things get even more interesting when you challenge your friends to plant trees together—you will see who kills a tree (ouch). However, if you successfully stay away from your phones together, each of you will win an additional tree from a random friend. You can also chat and share your progress to motivate each other and keep everyone on track.*

* Flora is the original app for multi-user tree planting and delivers the best features that help you and your friends be productive.

TO-DO LIST & WIDGET

Flora is a to-do list, and more. Simply create a to-do item and set a reminder, then you will never forget a thing. Even better, you can tag your trees with a to-do item to easily track the progress towards each of your life goals. No matter if your goal is daily, weekly, or monthly, Flora will help you follow it through and achieve it.

HABIT TRACKER

Enjoy a rewarding daily habit routine. If you grow trees regularly, you will earn yourself a beautiful, vibrant garden. Take a look at it and feel proud of yourself! Each tree records your perseverance and a step towards a healthy life. You can also view the daily, weekly, or monthly statistics of your activities in Flora to find opportunities to improve your time-management and planning skills.

REAL TREES, REAL IMPACT

Why not plant REAL trees while improving yourself? Flora proudly offers the opt-in Price and Care services that let you plant real trees on the earth if you kill or successfully grow a tree in the app. We partner with tree-planting organizations in Africa and East Asia, such as the Trees.org and Eden Reforestation Projects, to plant fast-growing soil rebuilding trees, fruit trees that diversify incomes and nutrition, and trees that can provide forage and fuel-wood. All these trees help make the earth greener and provide long-term financial aid to families who need it most.

Flora - Green Focus Positive Reviews

Helped Keep me focused and MotivatedThe timer feature itself was all I was looking for; but soon came to realize there was more. The app is cute and nicely laid out with easy tracking of focus time and break time. Every focus session grows little plants from different locations around the world using the “world tour” feature. This app won’t let you leave the app and go do something else or else a tree or plant is ‘killed’ so I bring myself back to focus. But not just digital plants are being grown, with a very small subscription, you can make it so that every focus session allows a real tree somewhere in their many locations worldwide to actually to planted, therefore a huge help to the environment and you get your work done. Generally a great tool. The only thing I think is unfair is you get penalized for canceling a session or pausing the timer. Sometimes, things happen for a while and we are unable to follow through. It could just be a bathroom break, a desperate drink, a call from a a co-resident. A pause in the timer or a cancel of a session because you realized a bit late like,” Oh wait, I’m not actually starting work yet. I haven’t done this or that. I’ll start later.” Otherwise it’s a good tool and really adorable in design..Version: 3.2.13

Needs some fixesI love the concept behind this app, but I’ve experienced some problems with it in the past. For example, there are times when I spend 40-90 minutes studying and once the timer is up, I’m directed toward a “connection failure” menu even when I’m connected to the Internet. This screen will not disappear until I close and refresh the app, which prevents me from earning the time spent on my different goal trackers. At times, when I open the app after the timer goes off, there are messages saying that one of my tress was killed, even when my phone remained untouched the whole time. It would also be helpful if there was a “0 minutes” mark when planting a tree for when people want to focus for exactly one or two hours. Maybe you could also add minutes that are not just multiples of five for those that need to concentrate for a very specific amount of time. This last point is not a flaw but something I would like to see in the app. As a busy student, I like to keep track of multiple aspects of my life, and I would like this app to have more than just six goal trackers if it were possible. It would be truly beneficial as there are some aspects of my life I’d like to monitor too besides my six main ones. This app has helped me a lot in concentrating on my homework and studying during the summer and with some fixes, it could be even better..Version: 2.4.1

Helpful Study ToolI just started my bachelors degree after not being in school for 6+ years. Flora helps me get off my phone and focus on the work. I enjoy the reward of a rose or tree at the end of each session. I also like the challenge of adding a sort-of “bet” on yourself by choosing a dollar amount and if you break your session (aka, kill your tree) you get charged that amount. There are a couple aspects I do not like: I do not like that the app does not remind you with a chime/sound/vibration when your session is over, I don’t like adding a “break” in sessions because I don’t know how long each lecture, quiz, or homework will take to complete, so when the time I’ve set is finished I like to evaluate if I’m at a stopping point for a break or if I need to add more time. I also really dislike that you have to pay for the app (albeit, one of the lesser expensive apps) to actually plant real trees. I don’t like that the saving the environment is monetized in such a way as if we would even need to plant trees if we weren’t tearing down the environment in the first place. It should be enough that trees are getting planted from people using the app, why monetize it? Overall I haven’t experienced any user interface issues or bugs, I like the app for the most part, and I’ll most likely keep it to keep me on task even after I graduate!.Version: 3.5.5

My favorite time-keeping app!So far this is the only time-keeping app that I’ve stuck with—which is saying something, as I’ve got severe ADHD and usually can’t stick with anything. I like the variety of trees and plants you can grow in-app, it’s not annoying so I can run it calmly in my background, and I can adjust the stakes as needed when I really need a kick to focus with the Real Money function. Plus it actually plants trees! I don’t particularly like losing money but I’m satisfied that if I *do* mess up my focusing, the money is going to a good cause. And even if I don’t mess up at all, I still get to plant trees periodically by focusing for certain amounts of time! It’s kind of a win-win. The subscriptions are essentially identical except you can plant real trees more often, so I don’t mind paying for an app like this (I’m on the Basic plan because I’m a student with limited income—monthly it’s about $2 which adds up to around $20 with the full-year percentage discount, which isn’t bad at all!). Without the subscription you still have 100% access to the app, it only means you plant more real trees. All in all, between price, functionality, and environmental ethics, this is the perfect fit for me, and I’d definitely recommend trying it!.Version: 3.2.12

Great Overall AppI started using Flora in the middle of August at the beginning of my senior year of college, and apparently, I’ve studied/stayed focused for over 100 hours! Which is great because I was recently diagnosed w/ severe ADHD. This app has been such a useful tool in helping me actually put my phone down and focus on my schoolwork. Not only that, but seeing exactly where my time goes when I do study via the convenient “tags” feature helps me to efficiently plan out my days so I know exactly how much time I need to spend on which subject. However, my only questions/concerns are a.) can you only have 6 tags? I’ve tried to make more, but I can’t find a way to create a new tag or even delete old ones. Even just adding a section about this to the FAQs would be really helpful; b.) sometimes I’ll set a timer, and since Flora has gotten me used to not checking my phone for 1+ hour(s) at a time, I’ll go back an hour or so later to check how much time I have left to find that the app reset, and all that progress I made was lost! This can be very frustrating especially when I’m specifically trying to study a certain amount of hours per day. Other than that, great app; thanks to the developers for helping me stay focused this year!!.Version: 2.4.5

EDIT: Thank you!Thank you SO MUCH for adding other login options than facebook. I’ve been loving the app so far, and I’ve gotten so many things done today. It’s cool how you added the Sign-In With Apple option, too. Now I don’t have to download a paid app to get all the nice features that this app has. Thanks again! I’ve been waiting to use this app for almost a year now, since I’m only in middle school and can’t download the paid Forest app and don’t have a Facebook account to log in to this app. It’s kind of annoying that when I found this app I was like “FINALLY I’VE FOUND IT,” but then realized that I couldn’t even log in. Now it’s been 12 months and still you have not released another email option. Is it supposed to take this long? I know I’m being impatient, but you’re blocking out so many users because of the limit you put on them. You shouldn’t expect students to have Facebook, anyway. So many people are in need of this app, and I’ve signed up for the email notification and everything. Please, please release this option as soon as you can. I’m almost in high school, and this app will be so beneficial in helping me stay focused. Thanks!.Version: 3.0.2

Changed my lifeNy time I am trying to study Are use the Flora app and it can be used for anything and you can set reminders and your tree will grow and there’s also a premium where you can actually plant real trees it’s amazing and also this is how your tree grows you set a timer the lowest setting is five minutes and It goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die and if you pause then your thing may not look at sk it goes all the way to ours so you can pick hours and minutes then if you go and open any other app then your tree will die also Florida is the best app you can friend people and you can grow trees together it’s amazing I love this app so much but you do need to login with either Google Facebook or email but if you don’t wanna spend any money then you don’t have to it’s a free amazing app all the sponsoring Youtubers and stuff they were right everything they said was right by the way this review is not sponsored.Version: 3.2.3

Exactly what you’re looking forSomething to focus. something to plan. able to collaborate and support your friends, growing trees together. OPTION to support the wondrous cause of replenishing the earth all while also being able to hold yourself to REAL accountability. the concept is phenomenal and you really have to try yourself. it’s simple. it doesn’t have all the unnecessary extra things, and it doesn’t hound you to pay for subscriptions or add-ons, but you’ll probably end up loving the app and its mission so much you’ll want to help yourself more and them. The message from Flora is clear. Flora wants to help not only YOU succeed, they want to help the planet. The app is admirable and definitely worth exploring if you NEED more accountability and focus. The most difficult thing for me was just OPENing the app and FOCUSing. it’s just you. just use the app, focus and make your dreams come true. if I can do it, so can YOU. CHASE YOU DREAMS this is just a tool to help you there, may you never be the same friends !!.Version: 3.5.5

Love it!! Have one fun idea??This app is so great for studying ;) I’m not sure how much it helps with motivation, there are of course some days where no amount of motivation can make me do work However the simple design and social networking makes it very engaging and rewarding after a task. I feel much better knowing a simple statistic of exactly how much I studied and what I studied every day. Side note: I was wondering if a “day” could be extended beyond 12 am? Sometimes I work until 12:30 am or 1 am It’s really insignificant compared to the great variety and software itself; just a small thing Idea/Suggestion? My idea was to program the plants to be a little bigger (or taller) if the task took a longer period of time or if I stayed focused without pressing pause I feel like it would be very cool to have a baby plant for 10 min task and a super huge one for a 2 hour task XD Thank you to the people who made this wonderful app for making it simple, engaging, free, and actually helpful for the environment with the trees.Version: 3.5.1

Fun way to stay on task and great for kids too! This app is awesome! Is a really fun way to stay focused and on task for people with ADHD. Speaking from experience, I work best when I set a goal or reward at the end of my task. Is usually clean rest, meaning I get to do whatever I want 30 min-1hr. But this app has given me an extra reward at the end of my tasks. I do t usually get distracted with my phone but everything else around me is a distraction, but with Flora I get to see the time left on my task so it motivates me to work faster and also rewards me with a cute tree or flower at the end. I’m always so curious to see what grows. I downloaded the app on my kids phones as well because they have ADHD as well and I home school them so is really easy for them to get distracted. Ow they are motivated to see what grows at the and of their school focus time and I even heard them saying they are going to compete to see who can grow the most trees and flowers. 😂! Totally recommend for kids and adults ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 3.5.4

Effective!I really love this app; it’s helped me be so productive, haha. It’s simple but works really well. The Grand Tour feature is also really cool! Plus, I like how you can set goals and how many hours you want to focus on the goal, although it would be nice to be able to reset the goals like every week or something. Another idea is maybe to have an option where you can silence notifications from other apps while planting a tree, because I know those lock screen text notifications can be very tempting, haha. Also, it would be cool if a timer could be added to your phone’s lock screen while planting so you know how much time you have left. Or maybe a widget. Finally, I think there’s a glitch of what plants I planted? When I planted one orange, it somehow duplicated and replaced other existing plants so now I have three oranges instead of the just one orange that I planted. I don’t mind that much though, since it still looks very nice, haha. Overall, I love the concept of this app and how it lets me channel my inner focus!.Version: 2.3.5

One of my most used appsI’ve started using Flora pretty much daily for tasks that I either don’t enjoy and therefore need extra motivation to tackle, or when I know that I tend to get distracted during things like organizing papers etc. I set the timer to 15-20 minutes and challenge myself to race against the clock. If I need more time after that I simply set another timer. I find it helps keep my focus, adds extra motivation, and it is very satisfying to complete my task in the time I allot myself. The reason I keep my times short rather than setting a timer for an hour is that as a mom, I do sometimes need to get back to my (teenage) kids within a reasonable time but this allows me to wait the extra few minutes until I’ve completed the task before I do. And in the case that something really can’t wait, you can always pause the timer temporarily. I’m currently working on my third REAL tree and hoping to have many more by the end of this year!.Version: 3.4.1

AMAZING APP ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE ADHDI have been downloading so many apps that claim to help keep you focused and stay on task especially if you have adhd I’ve downloaded to do apps and schedule apps and everything you could think of, and one day I found this app. And i love plants and growing plants and so to have this app that lets me grow a virtual garden, and holds me accountable if I go to a different app while in focus mode is amazing, I’ve only killed 1 tree so far😭 I was really sad about it too! So it really pushed me to not get on my phone and get distracted while doing something so I don’t kill my growing plants!! I love that it also has the option for you to hold yourself accountable and put down a certain price should you lose focus and that money goes to planting real trees in the world! This is an amazing app and I love it so much!! Definitely has helped me get things done! And to be motivated to get more things done to unlock more trees!❤️ thankyou so much for this app!!!❤️❤️❤️🦋.Version: 3.4.0

Couple bugsPros: really does help me and my sister to focus on our work together and overall a really helpful app with lots of nice features. The all around the world feature is by far my favourite as well as the group planting aspect. Very helpful app overall if you just want to get off you phone. Cons: there are a couple bugs which I feel need to be addressed. One is that sometimes when logging in with Facebook it’ll say the login isn’t associated with a account but opening the page in safari seems to let you log in as normal. Another con is the fact that it’s Facebook only but I understand that the team is looking at adding more options soon so it’s not that big a deal. Just a small feature I would like is for me to see on my lock screen the time remaining as a notification so that I don’t have to unlock my phone but that’s just a nitpick. Overall: the app works great and gets the job done. Obviously there are downsides which many people see as having a big impact, but personally if you don’t mind using an old Facebook or making a throwaway one, it helps a lot and I would highly recommend..Version: 2.3.3

If you struggle with procrastination GET THIS NOW.Stop reading download this app right now then come read this review. Done? Ok let’s start. I struggle with procrastination, lets be honest, we all do. As a high schooler , college student , and eldest immigrant daughter, it’s hard to motivate yourself. You have so much on your mind and you slowly sweep into this pool of emptiness. It’s hard to get back in track and keep pushing. This app really helped me with that. To push away pleasure from games and texting and just focus on work. We tend to avoid things when we are stressed, but then end up in regret right before a due date. This app rewards your studying (and good habits) and helps you get back on track. It’s refreshing to see your plant grow at the end of your progress. The Friends feature is motivating. You get to see your friends progress and their little garden. The feature where both you and your friend get a shared time and if one of you goes on an app for too long... the tree dies. It helps keep both of you in check and be responsible. Quite funny when they kill the plant on purpose just for sh**s and giggles HAHAHAHAH!!! Anyways, even if you aren’t a student and just want to just sit down read a book or work on a personal project, this is a great helper! It’s free download it and explore it yourself! For a new app, it is almost perfect. I’m quite excited to see what they have in store for us. I don’t have any problems with it yet! Enjoy~❤️.Version: 3.0.4

Effective and fun!I’ve used many different productivity timer type apps and even some that lock me out of my phone for the duration. I’ve stopped using all of those because it was either too restrictive or too lax. Flora is the perfect happy medium - no one wants to kill a tree even if it’s a cartoon one! That alone seems to motivate me enough to not switch to any other app on my phone during a timed session, unless I absolutely have to take a call or something. I like that I can be flexible in the work time I choose, so as to not stick to rigid time intervals such as pomodoro timers. And it’s just so pleasant to “travel” around the world and plant different things. I have also opted to pay for the “plant a real tree” option for a certain number of hours worked. That’s so creative and inspiring! Thanks for designing an awesome app. I wish there was a short pause function instead of all or nothing with killing the tree, but this is minor and not worth taking any stars off for..Version: 3.1.1

Amazing for Procrastinators! As the title says, this app really IS amazing! Here are some reasons why: 1. It keeps procrastination at bay...if you have a big assignment and you’ve kept procrastinating, this app helps you with many different tools, such as reminders and by letting YOU set measurable amounts of time to complete the task at any pace. And, you get little plant rewards for taking those steps! 2. It is FREE...this app, unlike some others, doesn’t require any purchases in the main app. It only has an optional one, and the experience without it doesn't cost you to sacrifice app quality. 3. It helps others...if you chose to support the app, you can help other other countries by providing trees by simply using the app. Trees are essential for environmental and human health, and a small cost goes a long way (again, not even required!). 4. You can work with friends...not only can you be productive, but you can compete with your friends or just invite them into your “room” to do the task with you. 5. It motivates you to cut out distractions...the best part is that app doesn’t allow you to use your phone during your “session”. Although this may sound terrible to some, it really is beneficial, as it keeps you all the distractions that phones nowadays can bring to true productivity (social media, videos, games, etc). It helps you focus on one thing at a time; a good life skill. Hope this helped!.Version: 3.2.7

Love this app!! However, there are some bugsI love using flora! The plants are super cute and it is FREE to use. You only pays when you want more plants. Meanwhile, it is online!! Comparing to other pomodoro apps that are offline, not only can you see your friends progress and stay motivated, you can also keep track of your progress across devices!! Nevertheless, there have been some bugs. I usually write comments under my stories to keep track of my studying habit which I prefer to keep private. I had all my stories set to be private, yet it sometimes automatically set my stories to be “share with friends”. When I changed my story settings, it told me “fail to update, please try later”. In addition, I kept getting reminder for my completed task which was deleted a long time ago. Thankfully, all problems disappeared after I redownloaded floral app several times. Overall, I greatly enjoyed this app!.Version: 3.2.19

Free and works so wellI love flora so much it helps me get do much work done. I’m super screen obsessed so having an app that forces me to get stuff done by keeping me off my phone helps a lot. You can grow so many different types of plants. It’s completely free and you can of course get a monthly subscription where you do gage to pay, but you plant real trees at different rates depending on which subscription you get (there are different ones with varying prices). You can also pause your progress while your working on growing an in game tree, which will allow you to use your phone, but subtracts from the total focus time. If this feature gets you to use your phone too much you can actually turn it off as well! There’s also a to do list, and you can add the amount of time you want to spend on different goals. You can make these goals reoccur as well (ex daily, weekly, biweekly). I highly recommend!!.Version: 3.2.13

How could I live without it?I installed this app at the beginning of the school year to help me focus on assignments (I have issues with focus, and distanced learning hit me hard) and honestly? I love it. The ability to use tags helps to track everything, and the Grand Tour, plus the fact that the app tracks how many hours you’ve spent in a week, materializes my efforts in a way that is very satisfying to me. I’ve only ever used the app alone, so I cannot comment on any multiplayer features. Here’s a story: I procrastinated heavily this trimester, so I’d ended up with dozens of assignments to do and a little less than a month to do them. I’d though it’d be impossible to do them all, and that I’d have to skip some in the interest of time. Yesterday, I submitted the final assignment. It was all thanks to this app—without it, I’d be unable to gather my willpower and start, let alone finish on track to get straight As. So, uh, thanks..Version: 3.2.6

Love the ideaOne of the first things I did with this app was set aside time to read a personal book. The timer is a really easy way to focus on one thing at a time and get an idea of how much time you need for certain activities. I love that they include Flora Care which is a charity you can donate to and in exchange a certain number of hours logged in the app translates to a real tree planted. However the only way you are able to use the app is if you have a Facebook account, I haven’t used my Facebook in months but was lucky enough to remember my login. Although after only a couple days of using the app I was told I needed to log back in to Facebook and was redirected to a Facebook security measure asking for a photo of my face -after this i was told i had to wait for the photo to be reviewed before i could log back in. It would be much easier to use an account that I use more readily such as gmail, or even the option to create a new Flora account not necessarily connected to another social media.Version: 2.5.8

Great! After just two days of using this app, I can finally say I have found a tool that actually helps me focus. I love the incentive of planting trees, it is an incentive outside myself which is more motivating than a cup of coffee. I feel that with each plant added to my personal garden I am working to make a difference! The reason I didn’t give this app a 5 star rating is the lack of alarm when the goal has been met. It doesn’t seem to have one (or I just can’t find it). I like to break up my tasks in smaller increments which this app does wonderfully, but it doesn’t alert me to when I need to take a break or switch to a new task. Ultimately, I have found myself working for an hour instead of 25 minutes (who CJ is GREAT, don’t get me wrong), but it also doesn’t show a true reflection of my focus and doesn’t show me true progress toward my goal. I’d love to have the option for a notification. (If it’s there, please point me in the right direction!)..Version: 2.5.19

LOVE, and Want for iPadI’ve tried a lot of different habit/to-do tracking and focus apps, but none that had both the rich feature set (habits, to-dos, focus, connections) and the real-world benefit (beyond my own). I also love the “journey” concepts that are unlocked with reasonable engagement with the app, rather than high-bar “purchases” that constantly seem out of reach as I’ve experienced with other apps. It’s truly an app that balances a motivation to use it with a motivation to put down my phone and focus. I like it so much that I wish there was an iPad version to complete the iPhone app, perhaps even one that syncs so that if I start a timer on one device, the same timer starts on the other (maybe if I choose for it to be so)... I sometimes find that it’s too easy to lose focus when I have another device to get around using my phone. Thanks so much to the developers for their work and impact!.Version: 3.2.3

The best tree timer app on the marketGreat app to help me stay focused while doing my necessary reading. I’ve always had problems concentration, but that has been made worse since the COVID quarantine and my reliance on phones/computers. It had gotten to the point where I would sit down with a book or something and within minutes I would be back on my phone checking something or responding to someone without realizing that I was no longer reading or doing my task. Now, I automatically pick up my phone and I’m gently reminded that I’m working on something else. Plus, after paying a few bucks, there’s an added benefit of slowly working towards a tree donation. I think that helps me stay concentrated, the award of getting my little digital plant as well as working towards a real tree. It’s worth a download to try and it’s definitely better than the app charging money to do something similar..Version: 3.0.1

Facebook mandateFlora is a great app and concept, I’m not sure if this or Forest: stay focused, came first but either way I appreciate the idea and the fact that this app is free makes it accessible. It truly does help my workflow. However the face that you HAVE to log in with a Facebook account is annoying and frankly a huge turn off to a lot of users, especially those in the 16-24 range I imagine. If the app wants folx to plant seeds together consider looking into airplay compatibility or simply generating share codes for long distance collaboration. Finally and this is a minor note, I used one other app similar to this and one of the touches I appreciated was as you racked up more time you unlocked different plants and could get an overview of your ‘garden.’ Perhaps integrating these features would veer to close to a copy right infringement. I’m not sure. But overall flora gets the job done it’s highly customisable in terms of time and relatively intuitive; though I will say returning to the planting screen after finishing a session isn’t the smoothest transition. 3/5 keep going !.Version: 2.3.3

Seems good but don’t have FacebookUpdate:it’s May 5 of 2019 and you STILL DONT HAVE A EMAIL LOGIN OR ANY OTHER LOGIN ALTERNATIVE. You say you’ll add it as soon as possible but you updated the app last week and still NO EMAIL LOGIN. Just look at your negative reviews for 5 SECONDS and you’ll see that’s all we want. I have it as 4 stars in hopes that you will see this. You guys say that you’re “working on email login” but it’s been months. Why is it taking so long. Almost all your low star ratings are because it’s Facebook only. This isn’t good for your business because people won’t use the app because of Facebook login only. You might be working on it but make it a priority. I don’t want to use forest cause it cost $ and I just want to be productive. I understand it takes time to implement this but people have been asking since AT LEAST 2017, I didn’t scroll further cause it was long. Most apps that have sign ins have email function so why is it taking so long. At least give us an explanation.Version: 2.5.14

Idk what’s happening.....So I got this app literally TODAY. My sister recommended it to me and said it is a great app. So I downloaded it. I got some work done with it and it really does help me. But then after I completed my second session of using the app, it wouldn’t load anything. Then after not doing anything, it randomly took me through the tutorial. I was so confused because I had already made an account and gone to through the tutorial already. Then when I go to check my account, it has no info. No name, no email. So I log out. Every time I go to log in it just stops at the same page. It says something about needing to put in my email again to verify. I put in my email and then I press verify. NOTHING HAPPENS. I go to press verify again and the same thing. I have tried going through the “Continue With Google “ and I have done the “Continue With Email” and both of them end up on the same thing. I have no idea how to fix it. It seems like a great app (I have read your reviews) but I can’t seem to be able to log in to use it..Version: 3.0.5

Good, but a bit buggyI love how this app encourages me to put down my phone and keep my hands off for a time. Also, a recent update lets me plant while offline. And of course it’s cool that o can plant a real tree with a donation. However, there are still a lot of bugs in the basic functions. If I plant offline and then turn the WiFi on, or vice versa, the finished plant doesn’t show up in my garden. And if I open the app while offline, it often gives me a login page that requires me to turn the WiFi on again and log in via Facebook - which I’m usually not willing to do at that point, since my goal was to get OFF the phone and internet. Strangely, when I come back to the app with the internet on, later, it doesn’t require me to log in again, but goes straight to the planting screen. I really don’t think an app about putting down your phone should require any login, internet, or other special steps to use unless the user requests to make it a social event for that particular time. (It also requires a social use to get past level 9.).Version: 2.3.1

Good yet FrustratingI do like the incentive to put down the phone & focus, BUT there are two main problems. First, it is dificult to navigate the "grand tour" because it MANDATES that you get a friend to play, and some of us don't like to prosyletize our apps (or "play" with friends in this way). Since I didn't invite a friend to play with me, it just stpped progressing, which was quite depressing. Second, sometimes the app stopped counting down when my iPhone went to black screen. So I'd be focusing for 50 minutes, and over an hour later I'd check my phone (why don't I have a tree yet?) and the countdown clock would be at 48:33. I found that I had to keep the screen live the whole time sometimes just to get it to actually countdown - which was beyond annoying and really undermined the entire purpose of the focus app which is, after all, to focus AWAY from the phone. That glitch seemed to be fixed when I restarted everything, but still, quite annoying..Version: 2.3.0

The best focus appEver since the old app that I used was no longer free, I began searching for a new focus timer for my studying. I am a full time college student with a part time job, so it's very important for me to stay focused on tasks to get them done! Flora has made me excited to study (not that the classes I have to study for are boring), but i love the idea of being able to grow different plants or flowers and go on tours to different places around the world. It really keeps me focused because if you exit out of the app, it will kill whatever you are growing! Which obviously you don't want to do. I love the ability to switch how long you want to study for and how long of a break you can have. Overall, the app truly works for me and it's so simple to use! I recommended it to all of my roommates, and now they all use it too!.Version: 3.5.1

An amazing tool adhd when you know how to use it!!As someone who struggles heavily with time management, this app has so far been really nice to use! Let’s me have a list of tasks, timer with break, and gives me an incentive to finish my work. As a person with ADHD, getting a little compliment/break/tree planted gives me my little dopamine boost that I seriously need to make my work feel worth doing. There is no one app to cure my problem but this is a very useful tool to have in my adhd productivity toolbelt!! I just hope they can make the app more intuitive and user friendly, as it’s especially hard to feel motivated when you feel overwhelmed with the app itself lol, took me a few downloads and deletes but now that i know how to use it best for my situation it’s helped a lot!! I also would like more options in timing breaks and focus, specially I like having 20 minutes breaks and that’s not an option.Version: 3.2.12

Helps me stay away from my phone!I’m going to be real, I really enjoy this app. It makes me feel terrible to kill a tree, so I can focus more instead on getting assignments/studying done. I also like how you can categorize the time you spend not on your phone- I use it to keep track of how many hours I’ve worked/studied for each of my classes, and it helps me balance out the hours for each subject! There are a few bugs though, sometimes when I set a timer and turn off my phone, the app will stop, and refresh. Then the timer will be completed, even though it is not. It gives me free time on the app, but I didn’t actually earn those minutes. I think another feature that would add to the experience, could be a log of each week’s total hours. I know you can scroll through your feed to see it, but if you did a lot of sessions, scrolling can take a while to see these summed up. Overall, would recommend!.Version: 2.5.12

Fun study buddyGrowing plants keeps me motivated to study and keeps me off of my phone!!! As a med student, both of these things are invaluable to my studies!! While I wish there was a feature where if you study for longer than your allotted time (say 50 mins instead of 25) you could grow a more detailed plant or two plants instead of one, I also appreciate the simplicity of flora. Once you learn the ins and outs it becomes really fulfilling! I love my garden, my plants, and my new productivity. I also love that it keeps track of your focused minutes throughout the week, and compares your progress to the week before. This comment is quite chaotic, but the app is not. There are lots of fun features to explore and it has helped motivate me tremendously. And it’s FREE!!! Give it a shot for a week and see your productivity skyrocket..Version: 3.2.19

GAME CHANGERHonestly, I struggle with staying focused and off my phone to get things done. This app has helped me so much with just getting started with my work, which goes a long way. Also, working in 30 minute intervals on one task at a time is much more manageable (and effective) than a blank 3 hour block of time. Another reason I love this app is I love plants, and it is very satisfying having a cute little plant and eventually garden to look at after you have gotten some work done. It is very motivating to stay focused because if you mess up and get off task, this app tells you that you just KILLED a little tree. I don’t want to kill any trees (real or metaphorical) and I also love the fact that it plants real trees in the world. Overall this app is very visibly pleasing, useful, and simple. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone..Version: 3.2.10

Great app—for phone addictsIf you can’t stay off your phone and need to get other things done, then I highly recommend Flora. It’s motivating (I recommend opting into Flora Care for the motivation of planting REAL trees!). Unfortunately, I wish there were a Flora version for us lazy ones who don’t have a phone addiction issue. I simply procrastinate a lot. I’ve found Flora is a great motivator, but the problem is that many of the things I’m procrastinating about are phone calls I need to make. That this is geared for the phone addict crowd limits its usefulness as an aid for those who are simply habitual procrastinators. It’s the reason I’m now looking at other apps to try to fit my need to be able to get things done when they sometimes require phone use. I would recommend Flora either put out other Pomodoro-style apps or open up availability to other uses, which would help people like me as well as likely expand their consumer base. But as an app to keep you off the phone and motivate you, this app deserves FIVE stars. Areas where it could be improved: Better tutorial and FAQ. I have had to email the developer a couple times for answers to what would seem like basic questions yet aren’t covered adequately in their tutorial or FAQ. The developer has been very friendly and responsive, btw..Version: 3.2.2

A great way to reduce screen time!I have ADHD and get twitchy and anxious if I don’t have something going on. It’s too easy to get my stimulation needs met by mindlessly scrolling through social media or playing dumb phone games for hours rather than doing something productive. Do I really like wasting my time doing that? Nope. Do I feel guilty about it? Definitely! So, I open Flora and “plant” a seed. I don’t want to kill the tree (even though it’s digital, I would feel as guilty as I do when I accidentally kill my real plants), so I’m not on my phone and I have to resort to doing the housework I put off (bleh) to keep from getting restless. Now I have a cute forest on my phone AND a cleaner home! Win-win! Plus there’s a variety of trees to plant so I don’t get bored of growing the same thing over and over. I wish I had this app years ago!.Version: 3.2.8

Flora and Fauna? Garden Wilting? This is not in the name of the app and it may seem sadistic and extreme, but I think it would be highly motivating to be threatened with the sickness or death of a virtual animal. That would come with much higher stakes than plants and completely ensure I get my work done. There is no app like that on the market. Call it the fauna of flora! My less extreme suggestion is an option to have our garden wilt if there is no activity in the app for a whole day. It’s an incentive for constant productivity. I need help with not just adherence to productivity sessions, but initiation of those sessions in the first place. Because I’m very aesthetically motivated, further customization and personalization of our garden would be cool too. Maybe different illustrative styles. All of that being said, this app is very effective and I enjoy growing my plants..Version: 3.0.2

Awesome but a few suggestions!!This app is amazing it’s really helped me with my work!! The thought of planting trees makes homework feel more like a game and is way more motivating. It has also helped a lot with my adhd! I know the point of the app is to stay off your phone, but there should be a setting that allows you to be able to use your phone while still setting a timer (and growing a tree)because some of the things I have to do for school are much easier to do on my phone. It’s really unmotivating just setting a normal timer without a tree growing now that sometimes my only motivation is a tree growing. Maybe something where there’s an exception with certain apps. Also when you pause the timer should pause too, instead of subtracting time. Other then that this app has been amazing and really helpful!!! Thank you so much!!.Version: 3.4.0

Good for you and the worldFirst off, it is really free if you just want the bonus encouragement of staying focused on your tasks. You do have the option though of either wagering on your ability to stay focused the whole time and if you fail then your money goes to support a great cause or doing a one time donation to every few hours of focus that you do results in a REAL tree getting planted. The idea is brilliant and can make a real difference on our world and the little way that having a tree grow because of the work I do actually has helped me stay on task. So, it works :) And honestly if you have the financial means to do the wager, do it! Gives me additional incentive to stay on task and if I mess up it’s just a small donation that has little effect on me and a big effect on the world..Version: 3.5.4

Super helpful for getting tasks done!I’ve been using it a couple days now and I’ve found this app very helpful. I’ve made different tasks and assigned them time slots, color-coded them, and set weekly goals for myself so that I can stay on track and stay motivated. The plants I get from completing a study session make me feel the immediate gratification of being focused which is hard to do normally because I can’t really see the fruits of my labor besides the words I type which don’t feel as rewarding as a mini flower garden on my Home Screen. I have yet to try studying with friends, but I like studying by myself so this isn’t really a bad thing for me. I highly recommend this app to people who have trouble staying on task and organizing/prioritizing their tasks/goals, but also enjoy reward systems!.Version: 3.2.6

Game changer!I have ADHD and have always struggled with focusing like most of us do in general. I’ve tried so many techniques to focus but nothing ever seems that effective. I’ve tried to delete apps but I’ll just redownload them or get distracted on the lamest apps just to avoid my work. This app has helped me be conscious about picking up my phone when I should be working and it helps me keep track of time. The best part is helping the planet! I always want to do more and be a humanitarian or some kind but that can be difficult as a college student with a job. I paid the $10 so I can do as much good for the earth while doing the same for myself. I also like this app personally more than forest or other apps because you have the ability to grow more irl trees. I just started this app this week and it’s already helped a lot!! Thank you!.Version: 3.1.1

Working life changed!I had been struggling for months feeling like I was wasting time at work, and therefore working more hours than I needed to be and beating myself up in the progress. I felt so guilty I literally started praying for an ability to focus. Enter the flora app. With this app, I can now focus on commas as it keeps me from my major distractors. I’ve also learned more about myself, like how much focused time I really have in me in a day and how long I can actually sustain focus on average. I cannot recommend this app enough. And in fact, I’ve been recommending to everyone I know. Additional Perks: I like that I can still have music playing in the background, since that can sometimes help me focus. And I also like that I can pause the countdown for quick things, like if I’ve forgotten to turn on said music. 😉.Version: 3.0.5

It’s a great app, but...I love this app and it is sooooo helpful. But I can’t pause the timer if I need to text my mom or I need to just look something up when studying. It has the option to pause, but it doesn’t do anything, it’s like it’s just there for decoration. So, ofc, I have to kill the tree. I did a timer for 3 hours and like 5 hours or so later I went on my phone and it said I killed a tree! What?! Plz fix this, cause it’s getting on my nerves 😖 Another thing, is that I don’t have Facebook so I can’t connect with anyone, and it’s really annoying. I would love to see my friends accomplishments and and join their sessions. Why can’t it be like Among Us where u don’t need to sign in to be with people? Edit: for the past month of doing flora, all my trees are algae- I literally haven’t had a single different tree! It’s really annoying to work so hard for the same tree you’ve been getting for days.Version: 3.1.2

Amazing…But it could be even betterI really love this app!! It has been extremely helpful for me since I can get very easily distracted by my phone. It’s helped me stay on top of schoolwork this semester. That being said, when I first downloaded it the first week I got a couple different types of trees but for the past three months the only thing that has grown is blueberries. This isn’t that big of a deal. The app still does what it is supposed to. But I think it would be a lot more fun for me and I would use it even more if I actually got a different plant every time because then I would look forward to the “reward” at the end of focusing. I don’t know if this just a bug with my app specifically or if I’m only supposed to grow blueberries. I will still use the app it would just be more fun/useful with other things growing. :).Version: 3.2.12

Helpful and Rewarding!I’ve been using Flora for a while now, and it has made ALL the difference to my study habits. When I first downloaded it, I was still in online learning, and I was desperate. For me, online schooling was very vague. There was no initiative every day for me to go on my laptop and complete my assignments. Also, it is so much easier to close your computer and play on your phone or fall asleep than to skip class at school. But when I started using Flora, it gave me a reason (that I actually care about!) to hold myself accountable. Even if it just meant I stayed off my phone for a couple hours, it was progress! So Flora became one of the only things that made me want to do my work. I’ve since invested in Flora Care, and it makes a huge difference. Knowing that my study time is going towards planting a tree is, for me, the ultimate motivator. And I LOVE the fact that there aren’t any loopholes for me to stay on my phone. If I want a tree planted, I genuinely have to be off my phone for 24 hours. And so far, I’ve planted 2 trees! So it’s rewarding to look back on that progress. Anyways, sorry for rambling! TD;LR: This app has helped me a lot!! If you’re searching for an initiative to stay off your phone, Flora is a good bet. I recommend it greatly to any procrastinator!.Version: 3.2.6

Best concentration appThis app really helped me be motivated to NOT grab my phone. The free way of using the app is by growing plants. You do this by starting a timer of your time choice. If you do not tough your phone in the time you selected the plant grows and adds to your garden. If you grab your phone and leave the app to do something else like social media the plant dies and none of your time is recorded for that session. You can get serious with the app and do it the “ putting money where your mouth is” way by betting a dollar amount of your choice that you will complete the time you selected. If you don’t complete the focus time the money you bet goes to many different great organization for developing countries and forestation organizations. Also, the app allows you to have friends to motivate each other. Love this app!.Version: 3.0.3

Like it more than I thought!I first got this app because while doing school online it’s easier to get distracted since there is no one to tell me to get off my phone. I love that every time you focus and reach your time you unlock a plant from that region of the the world. I love the fun facts that are presented and I often find myself trying to get more done just so that I can focus and unlock a new plant! There is also an option to pledge money if you kill a plant which is nice for those who find it extra hard to keep the phone away but I like it more that it is optional and you can keep things free if you want too. I’m pretty sure it asks you to put in a Credit card but you don’t get charged for anything unless you pledge money and end up killing the tree. Overall, love the app and it’s cause!.Version: 3.0.4

I would give this app a million stars if I could!I love flora! It’s just the most amazing focus timer app I have. I have trouble concentrating but I’m a very driven student and I constantly have to study. I love plants and I love “traveling the world and growing their native plants” in this app. It’s just the most rewarding experience in my opinion. I downloaded this app last week and I’ve already completed 22 hours! That’s a lot considering it’s summertime right now and I only have one online class. I also really like the fact that I can take a break. Things always come up when I study and I have babysit my brother when my moms at work so being able to pause to do my chores and etc is a wonderful feature. I highly recommend you get this app and actively use it to focus if you are a student!.Version: 2.5.17

For once, a productivity app I useThis simple timer gives just enough incentive to actually make myself do stuff. I have A.D.D., and have tried so many apps to make myself focus. Most have so many features that I get drawn in, use it once, and then never use it again. This one is different. You just plant a seed, start the timer, decide how long you’re going to do the timer, and then do it. The trees are really cute. And once you start the timer, you don’t want to kill them. It’s just the right mix of simple and functional— it has everything I want, but doesn’t overwhelm me with more. It’s actually helpful, and got me out of a rut. And, the fact that it can be used to ACTUALLY help decarbonize our planet is amazing. Thanks for making this great app!!.Version: 3.2.12

Really helpful appWas really nervous about starting college after being out of high school over 4 years, but this app has been super helpful. The iPhone was just starting to hit major popularity when I was in middle school/high school, but the temptation was not nearly as bad, then. I can’t pinpoint why I care so much about planting tiny little virtual trees and why it helps, but it does. I have encountered one small thing that I’m not sure if it is an error or glitch, but this entire week, I haven’t been able to grow anything but sequoia trees and I have been in 94/95% what feels like all week, despite putting in nearly 10 hours of focus. Really loving this app and would love to continue using it, but would like more than just a forest of sequoias 😅.Version: 3.2.8

Good app deserves noticeI seldom give reviews, but this one is an exception. I used it with a couple of my friends and it turns out that we really got things done much faster because no one wanted to let others down. When we saw the trees came out it was really a cheerful momement for all of us. Good job, Flora!.Version: 2.0.2

Great appOverall I like how I am unable to enter other apps and my Home Screen when my tree is growing however once I forgot I had a tree growing and it died. Kinda sad, I wish I could remove the negativity from my page so I don’t have to look at it every day. That’s the consequence though, so I’ll do better next time. I would like to see COMPLETED button while my tree is planting because I complete my work before the timer is done but I guess that’s not how it works..Version: 3.0.2

Don't have FacebookI just downloaded the app, but then realized I can't use it without Facebook which I don't have. Please fix that, and I know you are but could it go quicker?.Version: 2.1.6

Can you listen to music from your phone? Are you able to listen to music while doing a task with out your tree dying..Version: 3.4.0

Really cuteHelped me focus a lot more since i started using it :).Version: 3.4.0

Get it!!Love this! It’s very helpful for studying in university. I have ADHD so I have a very hard time staying on task. This app keeps me accountable..Version: 3.2.10

Amazing for easily distracted studentsI am a university student who is horrible at time management and having an app that forces me to do one specific task without stopping to look at my phone has helped me get my grades on track again.Version: 3.2.8

Good appHelps me focus on my work. Shaming me for killing a tree really motivates me to not break my focus time.Version: 3.6.3

Price medal?I really like this app because it helps me concentrate, but I don’t know what to do at “Price Medal”, so I am stopped there and unable to go to stops 5 & +.Version: 2.1.6

I really love this appI just started on here. I love the app and what your mission is. Do you think you could start one for wells? If it’s more expensive you could make it more community or group oriented. I’d love to see it but trees on their own is great!.Version: 3.6.3

It’s a needIt makes me so productive, I highly recommend.Version: 3.6.3

WowSo innovative for a Productivity app!.Version: 3.6.3

Amazing AppWhat an amazing concept and what a lovely way to allow people to make a difference while benefitting themselves too! So much love ❤️.Version: 3.6.3

Good app! This app is really good I just wish there was a way to tag a session after it’s done. Sometimes I forget to tag it before and then I can’t see how much time I’ve spent on a task total:/.Version: 3.6.3

Good app!Helps me study, i need to lock in 🙏🏼.Version: 3.6.3

Sponsor Opya on TikTokThe only reason I downloaded your app was cause of a video on tiktok. Girl’s name there is Opya. The app seems great so far. Sponsor her.Version: 3.6.3

AmazingI love this app, I use the free version so I’m not planting real trees (yet), and it’s still an amazing focus tool to have on your phone. Whenever I feel like I’m getting sucked into my phone or I have something to get done, planting a tree and having flora do the rest is amazing. The graphics are great, it’s user friendly, and very helpful. One problem I’ve run into though is when I do a long focus, like 45 minutes +, leave my phone and come back when my tree has grown, it says “IOS terminated your session” and then it loads and loads and if I leave the app my tree dies. I have out of date IOS though so it’s probably my phones problem, not Floras’..Version: 3.6.3

Great interface and featuresBeautiful colourful interface. Cool features on tasks but lack of clarity: how to associate a tree to a task for instance. Maybe adding help comments when we open the app?.Version: 3.6.3

Amazing app!!Such a creative and fun app that makes studying fun!!!! My favourite way to study is 25 mins on with a 5 minute break and flora is perfect for that! But you can easily adjust it to whatever study preferences you have:)) I would pay for the extra tours it’s just such a fantastic app!.Version: 3.6.3

HelpfulSuuuuper helpful to have a visual timer. I will say, it’s a bit annoying that I can’t have a consistent 20-minute focus, 5-minute break, 20-minute etc, but it’s not a huge deal..Version: 3.6.3

5 starsHonestly really good and it helps me with my phone addiction😭 It needs more maps tho.Version: 3.6.3

Love 🌳Helpful and motivational!.Version: 3.6.2

One of my favorite appsPleasant and easy to use.Version: 3.6.2

GoodGood.Version: 3.6.2

It’s really good!Seriously. This isn’t a fake review, I’m being 100% serious. It is so helpful when I need to get something done in a short amount of time. The reminders, cute images, and etc! I get distracted by my phone super easily, it this eliminates that. I appreciate it! And I don’t have to pay anything for all of these features.Version: 3.6.1

Must have for Procrastinators Like meThis app really is useful and helped me concentrate a lot. The ability to block certain apps r really good but when in focus mode it is easy to pause it for something urgent but it is annoying as I have fallen into doing that and scrolling social media instead of studying. I think that if u enter a forbidden app for too long even when pausing focus, it should kill the tree just like how it does when u exit focus.Version: 3.6.1

A great appThis app has helped me hone in for many years on projects or studying that needed to be done. And the idea that if you interrupt the growth of the tree you can plant one in real life is an awesome initiative..Version: 3.6.1

Great app!I have struggled to keep my focus in school, especially with all the distractions like social media I find my mind drifting and hours passing like minutes as I scroll, but Flora has helped me slow time down and stay focused on my tasks in such a cute way!! I love my trees and killing them is so disheartening so it keeps you motivated on stay on task!! I will definitely be telling all my friends about this app!! 🌳🌳.Version: 3.6.1

It’s been working well.Just got the app. So far I really like it!.Version: 3.6.1

Get floraHonestly this is the only app that gets me to put down my phone and it’s SO CUTE. If you’re competitive get it with your friends and see who can plant the most trees❤️ you can also set it so certain apps are allowed during your focused time.Version: 3.6.0
