Very easy to useThis app is a very convenient way to upload documents to the department of social services. Much easier than having to go to the department and submit them, which for people without transportation is a very big issue. My only suggestion would be to allow the submission of screenshots. Sometimes the information that you need to submit is in an app on your phone, and the taking of live shots requires either printing out the item and taking a photo or downloading the app onto a second device to take a photo of the original device. Uploading documentsThis process seems easy enough, however if I have a quick question, there’s no option for a ‘chat message’. This option would save multiple time and resources in lieu of a phone call. The phone call issue to speak with a person is brutal (for all involved). I understand the office is very busy, but often it’s just a ‘quick’ question. I always appreciate the assistance from the office but often feel my simple question or a confirmation of something was a waste of their valuable time..SrmjgVersion: 1.6.1

NYDOCSUBMIT App effectivenessApp is good save you a trip to the agency or having to mail all these docs in paper through mail. but I had to submit some docs that I already had on my pictures file or I downloaded from a web server and I couldn’t submit them . App doesn’t allow to browse on your phone file or picture files , you have to take live pictures of every doc you are submitting - nowadays a lot of things are paperless you go to the website and download a doc if you don’t have printer at home you need to go to library and print all paper doc then scan them to the app. Maybe update for the future will save a lot time and effort ..Lissette39Version: 1.6.1

Being able to provide documents.If a client has a printed hard copy of a document then it can be taken via cell phone camera and uploaded. However there needs to be another function. Should be able to use camera to access screenshots or documents not able to print for proof of verification and assist with sending all requested income and any other documents. Hope this helps. Ease of using NY Docs:I had a lot of apprehension before starting the NY app. I thought for sure there would be some type of snag, as there always is with things like this. Much to my surprise, I got through everything with total ease! I was in shock at how first, understandable the directions were and second, how fast the actual process took to complete. App for uploading requested docsI love how there is now an app to upload requested documents to local DSS offices, I just wish clients were able to screenshot from their phones and upload that way as well. Many people have their paystubs, lease, copies of fuel bills, etc…. On their phones and because they are unable to screenshot, it takes the convenience away from them bc they have to figure out where to go to print the documents first before capturing them to upload to local offices. Getting thereI’ve used this app for several forms. It could use some improvement. On an iPad, the keyboard will block the next button. When submitting more than one photo, it remembers some of your info but not all. I shouldn’t have to type in the same info over and over again when it remembers other info. Also, it can’t accept pics from our camera roll so we have to take new pics of docs we may have already used with other forms. We also can’t see the pics we’ve submitted. They’re kept in the app but we can’t review and re-use them even in the app..LipwakVersion: 1.4.0

There are many NYS logins, at least for me… I messed up what one I logged into and had to use a different device because I couldn’t log out. I tried to close out and go back in, and I even tried to delete the app and redownload it. No luck. Old TechnologyExtremely inconvenient. Most of todays files and paperwork is more conveniently digital. I have court papers that have been docusigned and my case worker sent me attachments that were scanned in and I could fill out on my computer. Many people in need of social services today are people that cannot leave their homes, stand in lines, are even younger with mental health issues and more technologically skilled. Why do we have to get stuck in the camera part? Why isn’t there an upload ability so we can upload digital files as in every other area of processing possible? This app is dumb!How is it, in the modern age of technology, the creators of this app only thought to allow you ONLY to be able to photograph a document? You can’t upload a document, directly from your photo album, or files on your smartphone, which would make it much easier to utilize the system! Since I can’t upload my documents/photos, now, I have to go find a library, or place to print out documents from my phone, ust to have to now, travel once again to deliver those documents, which wouldn’t help my situation if I was broke. Doesn’t allow file/photo upload thats already takenI was really looking forward to using this and it working. Now I find out it’s only for taking photos and won’t let me upload the document pictures I already took. Horrible!!!They are discontinuing my benefits claiming they never got any of the proof needed to renew my benefits. BadThis app don’t help if you have to print all of your check stubs first then have to take a photo. Most checks stubs are digital now so we have a perfectly clean copy in my photos but I can’t chose a photo from my photo album.
