Wizarding World of Fun!I love this game. I’ve been playing it for years and it’s by far my favorite. I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, and this game has plenty of fun elements from the movies, along with Fantastic Beasts. Good graphics too. The developers have taken comments into consideration and made so many improvements over time, all making the game even more enjoyable. I love the random option to watch adds for 3 more moves. I love the daily puzzles and events that give opportunities to win gifts. I do think the maze is nearly impossible to win chests. I wish each dot on the course didn’t have to be repeated multiple times. I’d prefer more stops before reaching creatures than playing the same puzzle over and over. However, the map is cool and I like playing it. I also like that the earned pts remain available and continue to accumulate each time it comes back around. I also agree with others that it would be nice to boot team members over time if they haven’t played in over a month or so. I’m the only member of my team who plays. I know I can change teams. It’s not a huge deal but would be nice to make space for newcomers. Regardless, I love this game. Thank you to developers for listening to feedback and making improvements. Love the game but going broke playing itFirst I have to say I absolutely love this game! It’s challenging and creative and the graphics are phenomenal. But here comes the sad reality of this game and why I finally had to review it and only give 3 stars…lately all I do is shell out A LOT of money to play with nothing in return. There are no more magical creatures yet I still earn stars for them. Give me coin instead. Stop being so greedy! You can barley play multiple games without having to shell out money to finish every single time. Maybe I finish one in every 20 without having to pay to finish. And it gets frustrating because at my level I shouldn’t have to be doing that. It’s also shady when you have spent a lot of coin to try and finish a game yet that one lightning bolt or color gem you need to win is suddenly moved out of place. Its becoming less and less “fun” and more like a bad habit I need an intervention for. But the pranks are the absolute worst! I can’t stand them. Please please please don’t bring them back. Ever! I’d love to give you more stars and I feel 3 is being generous and that’s is because it is a great game. And I understand the monetary aspect of these, I don’t have my head in the sand about that. Biggest issue in my opinionSo I love this game but my only issue is the fact that for the Clubs/Clans in the game if players aren’t active they just sit there. For example my club leader hasn’t been active for over a year and neither has the Officer, I feel like if players haven’t been online after a certain amount of time they should be booted from the club or at least have the leadership removed and passed on to someone else so that person can kick them out and make room for people who actually want to play the game and progress as a team Update so I play this game with my mom I have for the past 2-3 years we love the game but our biggest issue is still the clubs 29/30 people in our club and half of the including the leader and officer of our club have been inactive for such a long time we stand zero chance of progressing because of this. I have a hard time believing we are the only clan to have this problem. Sure the easiest path would be to ditch the club and move on but again I have a hard time believing we are the only people. My clan has at most 6 active players if that 6!!!! 29 people in my clan and only 6 of us are playing we can’t boot anyone to make space for more players we can’t do anything and honestly it’s kind of crappy. Harry Potter Pranks and IrritationSo, I have been playing this game for at least 6 months and spent too much money on it for sure, but overall have enjoyed it. That is until they came up with a new feature: for a couple of days at a time, your puzzle wins earn you points to be able to play pranks on other teams. After the first prank event, my team just felt an annoyance from having other teams prank our team every few hours. How irritating. Someone in game development must have decided that the prank event was the best idea ever because suddenly there is a prank event every week. However, the other fun features like the card collecting and new levels have slowed down dramatically. I would like to express to the developers that prank events are annoying because they pit all of the teams against each other. And deciding to have prank events be the only interesting thing or event is just plain lazy. There are loads of different things that could be done, secret items hidden in games, duels, rewards. I always learned as a teacher and parent that punishment doesn’t motivate, positive reinforcement does. CheatersI would love to give this game five stars but due to coming across so many cheaters and zynga not doing crap about them is so upsetting when someone has almost 20,000 trophies in less then 3 days then obviously they are cheating I spend over $100 a week usually more and play many many hours and have not come anywhere near this I can get around 2,000 trophies and I have a 95 win streak and when I see people with a thousand win streak or more and outrageous amount of trophies I report but this person who is making more then any other person and is making the amount of trophies an entire club of 30 makes in a week in just a couple days all by himself and has been making first place every week then somethings up and zynga ain’t doing their job this persons all time record is almost 40,000 trophies it’s so obvious that this person is cheating and zynga does nothing just says they take it seriously and cannot say what actions were or weren’t taken it’s to the point that I won’t be spending my money on this game until zynga bans benny he gets more trophies then others I have reported and were banned and I will keep reporting cheaters I hope everyone else does too mayb then zynga will stop being lazy and actually take us seriously we want a FAIR game zynga and until zynga starts getting actively involved in looking for and banning cheaters then this game will be just that a place where cheaters get away with cheating.9231988Version: 26.0.637

There seem to be some technical issuesHaving trouble getting game to load. When it does, it says it’s not connected to the internet, although I am, and my club info won’t load. Going back and forth with not loading, not being able to access club info or play daily - very frustrating. My internet is working for all my other apps and streaming services, so don’t think internet is the issue. I enjoy playing the game. The puzzles become more challenging, which is to be expected, although some have such limited available moves that it is virtually impossible to achieve the goals, collect a large number of a certain color gem without using multiple power ups and buying extra lives. My biggest issue though, is that after you collect enough stars to open a pack of cards, they are all duplicates. At least the last 4-5 times I haven’t received one new card. I only have three of the creatures, so it’s not like I have so many that only duplicates should keep coming up. I would like to get the limited time creature, but NO NEW CARDS EVER COME UP. This is extremely irritating, especially since it takes 50 duplicates to get a ‘new’ card. Decompress from work with Harry PotterBeen playing for a couple years thru lockdowns and wfh ugh, and have thoroughly enjoyed this app as my go-to for lounging decompression after stressful day of work. It offers a light level of thinking and escapist, colorful productivity to down-shift out of intensity before I fully shift gears. My main ask of the developers is to support landscape orientation because iPad cases are not geared for standing in portrait mode, and I might even play more than I already do. I like the ability to thumbs up or down after a puzzle but curious what effect that has. It’s buggy occasionally which is tolerable, but the most annoying bug to me is pressing the button to watch an ad for three more finishing moves and finding the ad never plays and you’re basically game over due to glitch- please prioritize fixing that one. Some of the labyrinth boss puzzles are simply too difficult for humans, our team rarely finishes, so the bar seems a little too high. I’ve really enjoyed the variety in the puzzles themselves, kudos for that. I really love the “good wins over evil” theme of Harry Potter and hope you embrace that spirit in the game design, challenges, and puzzles as well going forward. “Support” team failI loved this game until I lost the opportunity to win a magical creature due to a game glitch. I paid cash for an event so I could win a magical creature. Near the end of the event I was on track to complete the tasks and win the creature when the game stopped offering daily tasks. I knew I couldn’t win without the points from those tasks. I contacted support and described the problem before the event was over. They responded that they were aware of the problem and were working on it, but no further daily tasks appeared, the event ended, I lost the creature and my money and heard nothing more. I contacted support again, described the problem again. I said I was very unhappy and thought they should give me the creature or refund my money or give me game credits. They responded that they were still investigating, that they would get back to me through the same support ticket. Days later, I got a message that the support ticket was closed because “we haven’t received an update from you.” Thanks for nothing. Update: After one more service request, they unlocked the creature I had hoped to win and I am satisfied with that resolution. I really want to give is 5 starsI am a complete Harry Potter fan and love all things Harry Potter. Of all the games I’ve ever downloaded this one is by far the best. they’ve done such a great job with levels, challenges, team play and upgrades. Until one of the recent upgrades. It has been very frustrating. Part of the puzzles is getting power ups. Sometimes you earn them sometimes you create them. The winged key power up used to go after puzzle obstacles and help in completing the puzzle. Now the winged keys will go after other power ups. Some of these levels are really hard and you have to be strategical. The power ups are there to help you not hinder you and when you have some thing saved for a specific move and then the winged key sets it off, it can completely destroy your entire puzzle and you will have no chance of winning that level. Because of this some thing that is supposed to help you makes it to where you have to play some levels over and over and over again. When it gets to that point, I put the game away and stop playing. Side note: I’d be nice if during the Quidditch challenge and team challenge we could ask for lives from our team mates like we can on the regular puzzles..BFMKCCOVersion: 71.0.213

5 star potentialIt’s almost there, there is always an update, which is good, it means that they are taking the feedback. We are leaving and putting it to good use. It does however freeze up a lot. You just have to be patient and the game will catch back up to itself. Hopefully this is fixed soon. I’ll check back later. The next issue is there doesn’t seem to be enough chances to earn coins so you can continue to play with the new seasons an extra moves and power ups ect, just by logging in for seven days in a row you can earn 200 coins, the average five extra lives is about 1000 coins, you get coins when you level up sometimes, but not every single level up. I do my best to play without spending money. I have no shame and being stuck on a level for four days. But I’m more inclined to buy the next season pass especially since this one is at a good price point. If I can afford some of the power ups from time to time or an extra life. Another minor thing is the pushing of joining Facebook or liking Facebook or Instagram page not everybody is on social media. My opinion about this gameSo now im level 140+ so far the game is amazing and honestly I played so many puzzle games but never seen a game like this im a huge harry potter fan and to see they care so much for the fan base is actually crazy they even made the pass cost by ingame money as an option instead of a real money if you play games like royal match .. toon blast etc the pass has to be bought with real money to buy the vip one but this game they support both paying and free to play players so that's really kind of them and coins so far are not hard to get all you have to do is pass 6 levels without losing and u get over 500 coins thats actually good deal in my opinion that they balancing stuff in the game for paying and playing for free this game is not greedy at all for a option to get a vip pass by using ingame money that shows how much they care for their fan base they deserve a 5 stars for the graphics and balancing stuff ingame. Updated review!!Aug 2022 Update. I still love this game. I love it even more that they changed the daily bonus structure to no actual incentive to play everyday. I’m spending way less time and money here daily. I used to play for my entire commute and then be so invested that I would buy so many extra coins to get more lives. Now I play my six. Die and come back whenever. I get to use other apps, play other games, and it’s been so freeing. This is a great game & it really benefits from the attention to detail. The Weasleys all look like Weasley’s, the Wizard’s chess pieces are such a great touch. I'm on level 1229, so clearly I love the game. My one gripe is sometimes the game fails to give me the starting time bonuses. I first login for the day and it will say 10mins unlimited lives. The 10 mins always fails to load. The 15 mins sometimes fails to load and the rest load with no problem. I spend an obscene amount of money on this game. It's such a negative experience to have them fail to give me something that was promised. Amazing game! But I have some suggestionsThis game is super fun! It is absolutely so beautifully done in detail and looks straight out of the movies! I love how the puzzles directly relate to scenes from the movies and how each one is an individual challenge. The amount of creativity poured into this app is insane. If I had to change just a few things, though, it would be that when you are gifted unlimited lives for a certain period of time, I wish that you could choose when to start the timer for it. Sometimes I open the app just to check in with my team or something, but then I’m suddenly gifted unlimited lives for 15 minutes and I have to drop everything I’m doing in order to try and make use of that 15 minutes at a super inconvenient time. Rather, I think it would be better if players could activate it themselves when ready. Also I wish we were awarded more coins because it feels as if they’re kind of hard to come by, especially since repurchasing power ups costs so many coins. FelixAbsolutely love this game. My whole family plays. The graphics are stunning and never fail to please. Specialty puzzles keep you from monotonous play. The one issue is being cheated out of stars/ trophies/points. I love the extra moves given if you watch an advertisement, however, many times the game won’t come back on and the game ends. This past week I haven’t been able to click any “play” or receive the 3 free moves. I was given instructions to restart WiFi, which can’t be the issue as my wife plays at the same time and her games load just fine. Although thats frustrating because you would have won with those moves, it’s still just a game and so much fun to play. The only other thing I hate is getting the same 3 random cards in a pack, over and over. I’m only at level 26. I’m thinking the only way to fix the issue is to delete the game and download it again. You don’t have to be a Potter fan to enjoy the game!I was babysitting a couple Harry Potter fans who kept wanting me to download the game. I was hesitant because I hadn’t even seen the movies. ( I must live under a rock, right?) This game got me hooked and now my favorite game. It even got me to watch the movies! Something I hope they fix is the ability to ban specific people from rejoining our club. We have a child (so he claims) that keeps rejoining our club unless we make it private. If it’s private then we can have new people join on their own. This child/person joins and doesn’t contribute to the team, we boot but then he immediately rejoins. We’ve booted him at least 10-15x and he just rejoins. His chat even discourages players from staying. In the meantime, he’s keeping the club full and unable to let a contributing person join. There needs to be a feature to ban unwanted people from rejoining clubs. People are removed from clubs for a specific reason but can just immediately rejoin again on their own. Great game, get rid of the spidersOverall, this game is great. I normally get bored of other match 3 type games, seeing as they’re not interesting enough or at some point they’re the same thing over and over, but this game does a great job of keeping it new and interesting. What it doesn’t do a great job of? Oh my god the spiders. When the event hit me this week, I thought I could probably make it through the week, seeing as my arachnophobia is only mild and I’m generally fine with spiders as long as they don’t come near me or touch me. However, I was wrong. The spiders were too much for me, and I think I’ll have to sit this week out if this game legitimately causes me this much stress. According to other friends who play the game, the spiders make a reappearance later in the game, and at that point I don’t know what I’ll do. I also have many friends who are arachnophobic and play the game, and their arachnophobia is much worse than mine.I would like to make a request for the spiders to be eliminated, made less realistic, or at least add an option in the settings to replace them with harmless stand-ins. Game ReviewThis game has changed significantly since I’ve started playing. It used to be fun but the Legends puzzles are ridiculously frustrating. It’s like you can’t breathe. Commercial ads that are meant to give you additional moves only show up when you don’t even have a chance of winning. The game recommends ages 4+. How is a 4 yr old supposed to achieve a level like the ones designed for Legends?!?! Really? I miss the old version of the game. I used to win coins and XP. I loved the boosters that emerge at the beginning of each puzzle and the boosters from the creatures. I also miss the daily unlimited lives you get when you first open the game. But a lot has changed. The regular puzzles are awesome but the Legends puzzles are too complicated for no reason. The puzzles for the Professors used to offer 4 chances; now it cut down to 3. How generous… I LOVE playing regular puzzles but until more of those come around, I just won’t play bc Legends is really annoying. Used to be 4-5 starsI have been playing this app for some time now. One of the most recent updates did away with the progressive free play. Over the course of a week, daily check in built progressively longer minutes of free play. Now, there are only currently 6 free plays and no automatic free minutes on days 4-6. Honestly, when I sometimes have to play several HOURS to pass a single level, having only 6 free plays leads to a week on the same level. I understand the app is to make money (you do have advertisers for that also). However, many people do not have expendable income in which to purchase game play, I do not. I miss the progressive free minutes & having the “XP, bombs, etc” to replace the progressive minutes is a poor substitute. Not looking forward to playing the same level for a week or more because the progressive free play has been eliminated. Additionally, I would agree with another reviewer- earning duplicate cards for my collection is also getting old…it has been a terribly long time since I’ve earned a new card for my collection. Great Harry matching gameThis game is awesome. You get to be in a club to earn points and good rewards. But it’s really hard. I have played many matching games over the last 12 yrs. This game made me wanna through my tablet, delete the game and curse at it. I was ready to just give up. I have since them gotten to level 2018 and now I’m stuck again. But I love it I really do love this game. I even had my mom create a group. It’s a family game now. Now with all that being said. I don’t understand what they did in the last update before this new one. But they got away free game play in the daily log in. Everyone in our group hates it now. Great but there are downsidesThis game is great fun. I love the leagues. It adds a whole new level of competition to the game. They've done a great job cracking down on the teams who were cheating, which I'm very thankful for. I think my biggest gripe is with the special creatures. When you complete puzzles, you have a choice to pick a special creature to help you. They come out with these new special limited time creatures and feature them for a whole month. It's hard enough that I have 3 creatures that have 5/6 cards needed to complete them, but now with the special creatures every month all my new cards go toward that creature. I've been playing this since it came out and I still haven't unlocked all the basic creatures. Who actually thinks I'm going to unlock the special creature in 1 month? It's impossible and a way to get money from us. Cool it down on the special creatures and allow us to get all our other creatures please! Only Match 3 I playI have over 2,500 levels played. I have read some of the 4 star reviews, and feel I can give an objective look and honest perspective as someone that has played this game for over a year: 1) As a club officer, we had struggles initially with the Daily Puzzle being started either too early or too late. The way we resolved this issue was taking into account (using the club chat) of the general time zones of our club members. We then made sure all officers and leader were able to start the Daily Puzzle at a specific time of the day. This shot up our daily participation in the puzzle. Our MVPs are given a warning if they start the puzzle over an hour and a half before the specified time. I have recommended the idea of a feature allowing officers and the leader to set a specific time for MVP to start the puzzle, or a daily auto start time for the puzzle that officers and the leader and override. 2) Creature cards show as “duplicates” after you first get one, but the key part is the + number. So if it says +4, then you received 4 duplicates toward the 30 needed for the purple decks. The creators have actually made it easier to get every creature card. Once you have gotten every available creature album, the stars stack up quick and you can quickly get the latest albums. 3) Ad complaints I don’t understand as I very rarely watch them. 4) I have found progressing in this game is far easier than in other games without making any purchases..Saclark65Version: 40.3.783

Overall good game but does have some downsidesI love this game, I’ve been playing it for months. But lately I’ve been discouraged to play because I am not able to unlock new magical creatures. When I first started the game I unlocked two pretty quickly, but I am now at level 631 and I have only unlocked 3 animals out of maybe 10. You have to beat 8 levels to get 3 cards, then you reveal the cards and collect them to unlock certain creatures. Each creature requires 5-6 cards to be unlocked. I have received so many duplicates of cards, and if you get 50 duplicates you can redeem them to open one card but even then I get duplicates. I feel that after collecting 50 duplicates you should be guaranteed to get a card that you do not have. I have even spent money trying to pay for the packs and “legendary” card collections, but I still am stuck with the same 3 creatures that I unlocked hundreds of levels ago. I am quite disappointed with this part of the game and I hope they make some improvements soon or else I will most likely delete the game and stop spending money on it. Great game for the first 300 levelsGame is designed well and really fun for the first 300 or so levels. At around level 400 it becomes intensely frustrating. I’m almost at level 500 but nearly all the boards take over 10 tries to win. So you get stuck in the game and don’t go anywhere without buying special moves. These are too pricey, I’m not spending 1-2 dollars every time I get stuck on a board, especially when practically every board at this level requires you to either spend 20 minutes to beat it or 1-2 dollars. The group leader is over level 1000 so it’s not like I’m about to beat the game. Also the card collection only gives you duplicates after you win your first two pets, and it’s set up so you have to win 80 boards to get a new card. You need 6 for each pet and there are 7 different pets that are available. Short of it it’s okay to have a hard board that’s challenging to beat once in awhile but when it’s every single board the game is no longer fun. Quidditch BuggedThis rating would be higher, because I enjoy the game as a whole. I love playing Quidditch a lot, but I’ve been having the same problem as a few other people I’ve noticed. My game-start creature effects haven’t been working, like they always had before, knowing the creature blast itself has never been available. *BUT* the worst came yesterday morning. I can’t progress past Quidditch puzzle 1. It isn’t that I can’t win. I do, it states my victory, but it still doesn’t give me puzzle 2. The game leaves me on puzzle 1 and takes a Quidditch life away, the same as if I’d lost. Meaning playing Quidditch is worthless to me right now. I contacted Zynga Player Support stating all this. They responded with “we realize it can be frustrating to not be able to use your creature during Quidditch. We’ve sent your words to the developers for future consideration.” That’s it. New game changesI used to love this game. It was challenging but still obtainable to beat levels and achieve goals. Now the developers only care about forcing people to buy coins, as it is the only way to beat some levels. With this latest update they have taken way the free game play when the day starts over…this was the only way a lot of people had enough lives to beat some of these challenging levels. Lives in this game are hard to come by and you don’t get to keep many in your bank. It’s just another feature people loved about the game that has been taken away to force people to buy coins. Club challenges are so difficult now that if you don’t have an full entire high level club playing you will never beat them all, and with all of the players that have quit and are filling club space it’s impossible to get new club members that are engaging. Awesome game!I’ve been playing this game for a long time. I love that there’s always some event going on leading to random rewards. My current favorites are the Secret Scenes! I also like the Feast events in which you collect ingredients and choose your own rewards. I am so glad that the ad options for +3 moves got fixed. There may still be minor glitches in it now and then (sometimes I’ll click Watch and nothing happens, but if I wait 30 seconds it will give me the option to click Watch again and then it’ll work) but overall I am glad it is back. It has helped many times! In the future I would love to see a Level map in each Scene to revisit favorite puzzles! There’s an option to Like or Dislike a puzzle which I utilize, but I’d love to be able to go back and play certain ones again after I’ve beaten them! Great Time KillerGreat game with a lot of creativity, but I believe there are some features that could be tweaked for a better experience. My biggest suggestion is the unlimited lives when you log in. I like to play at night and my league has a set time they usually activate our challenge. That is when I want to use my unlimited lives since it’s a timely occurrence. Throughout the day, I am fine with just giving my normal levels a go, and then waiting till my lives refill. If being able to activate our unlimited rewards whenever we want, I think that’d be great even if they expire after 24 hours so you can’t stack them. Also, the price of power ups is a little high with gold being so hard to collect without paying. I know games like this need to make money but I would more willingly make a purchase if I felt like the gold was worth it, but right now you can only buy a few power ups, extra turns for a high cost. My only issueI love this game. It’s very well done. Thank you to everyone involved. My only concern is that every time one of those events “where you collect ingredients to make things” ends I always seem to have a number 2 hovering over the Events tab at the bottom of the screen. This usually means that you have an item to collect inside and it’s a reminder for you to go do that. However, when I click on Events there is nothing inside for me to collect or anything of that sort. I’m not sure why this happens but I’ve noticed the last 3 times that one of those fantastic feasts / cooking events ends I have a number 2 show up on the Events tab below. End the “pranks”I love this game. It is fun and I love that it follows the movies (if not the books). What I HATE are the “pranks”. It isn’t funny to have hard won trophies lost for no reason. It isn’t funny to wait for a creature meter of 65+ to charge up so it can be used at the best time just to lose it and the level as a result. Pranks are not harmful. In a game like this, these so called “pranks” ARE harmful. It isn’t fun and makes me not want to play when this particular event is going on. I had hoped it would only be a one off event. Also, for new players, this is a game designed for new players to boost a team. The more advanced levels are harder to complete but still earn the same number of trophies. This means the low levels earn more trophies faster than the higher levels. Be prepared, if you are on a team, to be kicked out if you get too high. Visually amazing…But the game is laggy sometimes, and the algorithm is blatant. Will let u win a level easily with plenty of moves to spare if u take a long break, and the same level may have taken you a complete hour of free play to try and defeat. It will also allow u to “almost” beat a level but for one game piece dozens of times in a row to try to get you to pay for an upgrade or buy a package to move on. Sometimes a critical last move powerup will go to the wrong piece for the same reason. Fun, but don’t expect to earn more creaturesThe game is highly addictive. You can do every level without power ups, though it might take several tries. I’m over level 900 without spending money on the game. That being said there are issues, and you won’t earn creatures after the ones you get on the first day. Examples of issues include incorrect notifications and puzzle problems. Currently I have 7 notifications on the Events tab and I should have 1. It behaves especially weird when guild puzzles are open. In addition, it’s common for it to take out the wrong color when I do a swap and for puzzles to start with swapping (meaning it doesn’t even start with valid choices). This last thing leads me to believe that while all puzzles are winnable, they are not all winnable every time otherwise there would be no swapping at the beginning. All cards in the packs (even the packs you spend gold on) are duplicates. When you get one away from getting a new one, all the new cards generated from the duplicates turn in will be for a brand new creature that’s just been announced. I don’t see a way to pay for a new one because all the cards I’ve got with gold gave me duplicates so there isn’t really a reason to go after the gold for me. I’d be tempted to spend money to get more pets, but as the game is now, I don’t see a reason to work for or buy gold. Game is funI actually really enjoyed this game. It is a great stress reliever. I’ve noticed some glitches in previous versions where sometimes the app would freeze and crash mid-puzzle (frustrating because you then lose a life), but that seems largely resolved in the new version. I don’t typically leave reviews for apps, but there’s one point I’ve got a really strong opinion on: I’m really disappointed that in this version, you’ve limited who can start the daily puzzles to club leader or officer again. While it was not perfect with the MVP, it did motivate people to play more regularly. Gone downhillI have been playing this game for quite some time - on level 2856 - and have some great pros and some major cons. Pros first - I like the variety of puzzles and the different “games” they feature to play. It adds some fun into the mix every so often. I like my group, however, only a few participate so getting lives can be a struggle. Finally, I like that the game is pretty easy to comprehend and it gives intro when coming in to contact with a new obstacle. Cons - the daily reward for “logging in and visiting” used to come with free play - apparently that’s gone which is super frustrating. I loved those free times on especially hard levels. Can’t open gameI love the game. However, every time there is an update, I can’t never open the game (this is about the 4th update that this happens) each time it has been a different issue, the message this time is that it can’t connect to the internet, try again - I am connected to the internet, my browser and all online apps are connected and working online! The solution is always to uninstall, then start the game again at level 1 until several level laters that it allows you to reconnect with the correct account/level. This time around the uninstall and reinstall had to be done twice to solve the issue. Because of this I’m rating it a 3. I’ve put time, effort and $ towards this game and it is an inconvenience to have to go through all of this after their updates. A Big Step Up From Its 'Oz' PredecessorBest thing about this game is the relative scarcity of 'gotcha' puzzles where you just keep losing until you can create that single game-winning match. I'm nearing 3000 wins and what money I've spent is to support a great game, not because I had to to win. The key, I suppose, is to really understand your power-ups and how they work with each other. The game has some very frustrating quirks, though, that I think need to be addressed: 1. Swipe bugs show up often. Ad Failures and frustrationLet me start by saying this review is not the typical railing against ad-based games in general. I understand the need for monetization and respect a developers preference to release a game as “free” but ad-supported. Having said that, the way this game treats ads is clunky, frustrating and prone to utter failure. The gameplay is enjoyable, visuals are impressive but the game is created in a way to push the user to click on an ad to extend a board (i.e. watch this ad for 3 more moves). The amount of times that this process has failed on me cannot be coincidence. I will be conveniently one move away from completing a particularly hard level so will click the ad to extend. The game will fail or lock up immediately after the ad plays or the ad will play through but will fail to provide the reward once the ad completes. It is also ridiculous that although I touch nothing on screen while the ad is playing the game will still try to kick me to the App Store for the ad that just ran. If I exit out via the Done button THEN the game will fail and force me to restart thus losing the reward and my progress on the ridiculously hard level that prompted me to suffer through the ad to begin with. I shouldn’t be surprised since this tends to be typical of Zinga games in general but this one is frustrating enough to force me to write this review. Used to be a daily play but not anymoreThis game is gorgeous, fun, and has excellent Harry Potter nostalgia references. I used to make sure I logged in every day to keep up my streak, because I knew I’d get 15-45 minutes of unlimited lives. Now that Zynga has gotten rid of that option, I’ve lost that incentive. Something I love most about this game is the generous rewards, but watching them scale things back makes the game’s future look dismal. It has potential but I’m annoyedI have a love hate relationship with this game. It can be challenging, which I like, but it can be redundant at times as well. So if you had a gem bag and a lightning strike separated by one gem, you use the magic strike to bring them close together, then boom. Huge combined power-ups. A month ago my favorite game now I won’t touch itThis was my absolute favorite game until one day about 3 weeks ago my power ups stopped helping (keys wouldn’t hit the squares needed, magic bags wouldn’t scoop up colors needed, etc) for example I had 1 square left to complete the level, I had several keys, a magic bag, and 8 tries to go. It was a no brainer I would beat the level and all of a sudden they start zapping squares that were of no use to complete the level. Not fun anymoreThe game used to get the option to watch videos at the end of levels to get extra moves and since I bought something in game for real money, they removed that option and are instead bugging me for more money. Tried to contact customer service but they don't get it or understand. They kept saying that ads ar "random". NO, I'm still getting ALL of the other ads. It's been months now and the option for free moves at the end of levels if completely gone. It's too hard to play now. Glitches!I’ve been playing this game for well over 2 years and what started out as an awesome game for Harry Potter fans, has slowly deteriorated and has become a game full of glitches. Like many others have said: - watch ad for 3 extra moves constantly glitches; you also max out on these per day - club maze is often never there on start-up - gifts that friends sent disappear before the expiry date (btw, friends have to actually pay real money for these gifts too) - the algorithms for certain items have serious flaws (i.e. keys targeting priorities need to be looked at to actually help you complete the level; key-bombs always targeting the corners so very little damage gets done to the game board) - news/announcements are hidden under support—why not send news to people’s inboxes so we can be made more aware of changes to the game? - events are not rolled out amongst ALL players; for example new creatures will be released and made available to a small number of players first with other players seeing their teammates unlock new creatures while this is not available at all to them yet. Why aren’t all events just rolled out to everyone at the same time? - lastly, and what I find to be most disappointing is that when you report an issue, you get the same canned response from the developers with no actual solution or compensation (for lost items if any). I’ve reported three issues and based on these completely unhelpful responses, I’ll no longer be playing this game. Great game but bugSo I am really liking this game it doesn’t force ads down your throat like other games. In fact the only ads you get are in exchange for more moves. Some teams have extra players which is unfair for promotions. Some teams have players that get to play beyond the levels released because they are team testers but their levels count for team stats. Poor planningThe game has clubs you can join or make and if you are at the last puzzle available, you can’t help your club with points. The game won’t let you play old levels to help either so your kinda stuck getting very little points and never getting the club mvp.
