Does not even install on iphone (Updated)I have spent 5 hours trying to install this app. I have restarted both my phone and iwatch numerous times. The app icon shows up but when I open the iwatch app, the app is not there to install on my watch. The app also does not connect to my Sonos app. I’ll try again a few times more, but it is looking like refund time. Well.. I discovered what my problem was. I was trying to install the app using my iPhone 6Plus and a third generation iWatch. Doesn’t work! Ahhhhhh!! So, I got a new iPhone 12 and a new iWatch 6. Expensive way to solve an app problem. The app works now. My only criticism is that I can’t really adjust the volume using the watch app. As soon as I touch the volume control, it mutes the sound. I would like a volume control in the that I can use to control the volume, not just mute the sound. Other than that one concern, I love being able to control my system on my watch. (I recommend that you make the system requirements for not the phone and the watch now clear so that you don’t wind up with grumpy customers like I was earlier.).Version: 2.1.1

Decent, but buggy since Watch OS 10App is good and much needed, and client support in Frankfort appears to be professional (though I haven’t had occasion to use it yet). Just wish the app would stay open through its use instead of closing when you lower your wrist, but that’s a story that’s related to why the iPhone app is now less useful and less integrated into iOS than it was before. And just since Watch OS 10, it also seems buggy (doesn’t update to the onscreen info of the current track). Hope I can one day give it 5 stars, but not now 😊.Version: 3.0

A must-buy for a Sonos userThere are a lot of apps that don’t seem natural on an Apple Watch. Lyd is NOT one of them. This app has become my go-to tool for managing the Sonos speakers in the house particularly when I’m doing construction or cleaning. The best feature is just being able to turn down the volume quickly when someone arrives that I need to talk to. Like any app that depends on other apps or systems to work, it can sometimes be slow to initially figure out what is playing where and give me the options to stop/start/change volume. I have 3 rooms setup and would really like it to check play status in the background, so when I open it, it’s got all of the current room data ready. Overall it’s always getting better, continues to be one of my favorite apps, and would benefit from knowing room play status immediately upon being opened..Version: 1.2.3

Thank YouI was so frustrated with other Apple Watch apps that supposedly control my extensive and expensive Sonos system on my Apple Watch 7 series. I was starting to dislike my Sonos system. Lyd just made me love my system again! Music is a huge part of my life. I listen to it all the time. I walk around my house’s three levels and two yards doing different things all day long while listening. I wanted control of my music on my wrist because I often want to pause, forward, rewind, change volume levels, start and stop music in different rooms. Trying to do this on my phone is just impractical, especially when my hands are full or I’m carrying something. Lyd made all that and then some possible. Best two bucks I’ve ever spent!.Version: 2.4.2

Can’t live without it.I brought this app after seeing a recommendation online. I didn’t expect too much from it. But it really made controlling the Sonos speakers a breeze. I don’t even have to use the phone app and I can control the volume from my wrist. No need to get off my couch to hunt for the lost tv remote cause I’m using the beam and I can control the sound from my watch. If I want to hear some music on Sonos radio all I have to do is tap a couple of times on the watch and I can listen to different contents. Thank you developer for making me lazier and my life more convenient.😂 A big thumbs up and worth every penny of the price. And big kudos for not going with the subscription model. 👍.Version: 2.0.1

Just what I was looking forI have only just found this....so may need to update my review in time....but so far, I am very pleased with this app. I got tired of waiting for Sonos to come out with an Apple watch app. I put this complication on a watch face that I had used for music listening....with Now Playing as my main complication. This was currently available only for a smaller complication at the bottom of the watch screen. I can now choose/change my speakers in my current group with only a hard press of the screen, as I walk from room to room, I can change speakers on the fly, without my phone. I can also change my music, but seemingly only to playlists or music that I have added to “My Sonos”. So far, it works as expected, which is good. It would be nice, if it was available for the full complication, so it could show the “now playing” info on the watch face, so that I wouldn’t need to use both complications (Lyd and Now Playing). (Don’t really need both). Glad I decided to try this. (at least so far).Version: 1.2.3

Managing your devices may be sketchyI guess it depends how you plan to use this. My main purpose in purchasing it was for managing devices and groups. I have an original Sonos sound bar on my TV and the first Sonos One in another room adjacent to my kitchen; both are fairly old which may or may not affect the app. I group the sound bar and the other speaker while in my kitchen so I can listen to the tv news while cooking. It works but intermittently the grouping just gets lost and I lose sound in my remote speaker even though the app says they’re still grouped. To fix it I have to make sure I back out of the menus and drill down again or it doesn’t work at all. I can’t just leave it on the manage group screen. So it works but with some annoyances..Version: 2.0.1

Thought I was scammedAfter an update a while ago, the app didn’t work. I thought I was scammed. Decided to try it today. I was pleasantly surprised to see it worked. Sonos is always challenging after an update. Works better for adjusting the volume than “Now playing.” 👍 I love Sonos. I have the original play 5 and connect amp. Maybe since 2012. Discovered Sonos on Pandora. Anyway, I thought I had it set up right. I didn’t for the past year. I believe the play bar returned to factory settings on its own or because of an electrical surge. Everything is working right now and I’m happy about it..Version: 1.2.3

Super easy app to control Sonos from my Apple UltraI came across this app on an Apple Ultra Users site. I had always wanted to be able to control my Sonos through my watch. Simple installation. Within 5 min it was up and running. Gives me all the control I want from my watch. We'll designed and even easier to install. You must be running a later model phone and watch but that is common. No lag time noticed in switching between rooms. Best money I've spent on an application. The other plus v is it is compatible with Sonos 1 or 2..Version: 3.1.1

Not connecting to Sonos account - editedEdited to add that I have finally gotten it to connect and now works well. Fingers crossed it continues! I have tried multiple times to get this to connect with my sonos account (I know I have the correct login info), and it says invalid password. When I try to use the “forgot my password” link, it gives an “oops! We are having trouble connecting to Sonos error”. I’ve been trying for two days to get this to work with no success. So frustrating!.Version: 3.0

Exactly what I was looking forThis app is great. I can add a complication to my watch, or otherwise open the app like normal. I can select between my speakers and groups, create groups, edit groups. I just like how easily I can skip songs and adjust the volume. Sometimes it’s not very easy to make incremental volume changes on the Sonos devices themselves or through voice assistants. But this app makes it so nice. You just twist the crown and it feels like very fine tuned control. When you re-open the app you go right back to where you left off, making it really easy to quickly skip songs or adjust volume while otherwise busy cooking/dealing with kids. If you’re looking to control your Sonos system from your watch, this is the app for you. Also, I appreciate that the app developer quickly responded to a question I had. They obviously still care and support their product. 👍🙌.Version: 2.0.1

Better than Sonos appThe watch interface is awesome! Always works and is really fast. So great to have instant control of my Sonia system always available on my wrist. I have continually struggled with the Sonos brand app interface. Loses speaker connectivity all of the time, is slow, and Alexa voice integration only works half the time. The Lyd interface works every time. And it has the ability to discover multiple Sonos households, which helped me debug why my Sonos speakers were missing from the Sonos brand app. Thank you! Well worth the tiny price!.Version: 2.0.1

Major improvements in recent monthsI purchased this app years ago and I wanted to love it, but it was never reliable and slow. And for a while it wasn’t compatible with some OS releases. I gave up trying to use it mainly due to the sluggishness. After the version that came out with complications for the watch with performance and reliability improvements I gave it another go. I was blown away how fast it works and appreciated other UI improvements. This is now my go to controller for Sonos (aside from Alexa) since it runs very fast. I like dialing volume, and I find myself also using it to see what song is playing. I am using an iPhone 12 Pro Max and Apple Watch series 5. Feature request: It would be nice to have a quick way to get to recently played music. Thank you for the improvements!.Version: 2.1.1

Very useful watch appLike being able to see song info and use controls to skip to next song. Biggest issue I had was app on watch quickly switched back to watch face. Wrote to app developer and he provided me this nice solution 1. Open the settings app on your Apple Watch 2. Return to Clock 3. Then either set to “After one hour” or scroll down to Lyd and change it only for Lyd to “After one hour”.Version: 3.1

FantasticThis app is great. Works well on the Apple Watch and works consistently. As expected, issues arise when Sonos updates its software but the developer is pretty quick to update the app. Some folks downvoting need to realize that these app developers don’t necessarily get the official software as a pre-release. It’s only natural for certain things to not work, but the developer is quick to implement changes to make sure it’s back and working again. That’s all you can ask for..Version: 1.2.3

Update....Not what looking forUpdate: The app slowly appears to be more than I thought. It's not intuitive, but I am beginning to start up the Sonos and change the rooms it's playing. Now I just need to figure out how to change stations/playlist. Changed my rating from 1 to 4 stars. This app controls the Sonos only if most recently controlled by iPhone. I control my Sonos from my iPhone and my iPad. If I have it started on my iPad, I cannot do ANYTHING with this app unless I go get my phone. I was trying to remove that step from my life. Bummed..Version: 1.0

Nice, but missing one featureThis app does a nice job of controlling my Sonos speakers, but one thing I would like to see is the ability to rewind by 15 seconds or 30 seconds. Where I would find this useful is when I am listing to Podcasts through Pocketcasts. I find myself wanting to back up a bit to catch something I missed. Maybe this feature is there, but I’m missing it? Otherwise, nice app..Version: 1.2.3

Great app!!I never give reviews of apps but I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate this one. Works great and I get a lot out of it. Just one complaint about the sorting of playback options. One thing is sorting alphabetically 20 is lower than 114 (Sirius channels) but that is not how the app behaves. Also, if you sort by streaming service, it doesn’t hold that sort when you revisit the app. But again, great job and keep it up and maybe you can sell it to sonos! But don’t! lol..Version: 2.0.1

Very Happy with AppIt works, and works well, all for $.99. The Watch integration is well done: the fact that a user can control their Sonos system as an ever-present Watch “Complication“ is handy, and far superior to having to reach for your iPhone every time you want to mute your audio or select different rooms or volumes. The app directions are clear: just remember to open the app on your iPhone prior do your first use to complete the set up and syncing with your Sonos system before you attempt to use it on the Watch. I also appreciate that on the information page the developer includes complete contact information. Many Sonos systems users have commented that it is puzzling why the standard Sonos app does not include watch integration. Go figure. In the meantime this does the trick nicely..Version: 1.1

Works fine, but wake screen defaults to room view. The whole point of having this app on my watch is to see what’s playing and be able to skip songs, control volume, etc. and do it quickly. Unfortunately, every time you lower your wrist and the watch sleeps, the next time the app reappears it defaults to the room view where you then have to then select which room you want to see what’s playing. Not a very quick way to see what’s playing or skip a song, especially if you’re busy doing like cooking or doing dishes..Version: 2.0.1

Does what you want on Apple WatchThis is what Sonos should’ve provided. Add the complication to your watch face and volume and skip on Sonos is a tap away. The only problems are a wonky setup to get it connected to Sonos initially and occasional loss of that connection that requires logging in again on iPhone and an unavoidable lag, probably due to Sonos’ API. (Is that REST, I wonder?) Still, it’s a blast to control Sonos rooms from Apple Watch. Recommend creating a Sonos playlist just for Lyd..Version: 1.2.3

Seamless integrationThis is the first app I have ever paid for in my life and I’m very happy I did. I had family coming over in 15 mins and discovered I couldn’t work my Sonos from my new Apple Watch. I downloaded this app and had everything working from my watch within 5 mins. Everyone was impressed that I was controlling the tunes from my wrist. It’s so easy and intuitive..Version: 2.4.4

I’m so impressed!!Thank you Alexander!! From download to use took me about 5 minutes. Volume control is the thing I most needed, and when you need it, you need it now! I haven’t experimented yet with any other functions, but just having the volume control was worth the small price I paid for the app. Also - LOVE the mute option too!! Couldn’t be happier!.Version: 2.2

Does it all! Perfect app. This is exactly the app Sonos should have made, but never did. It gives a surprising amount of control for a watch app – we have a bunch of devices and it lets you manage groups, set volume at a system or per-speaker basis, even change music easily from your faves list! I’m impressed – and the privacy policy is also exactly what it should be, but so rarely is. Nice work, sir!.Version: 2.0.1

App works great. As i was hoping app works great on apple watch Ultra. Wish it had more features but this is perfect. I can control all my indoor and outdoor sonos equipment without carrying my phone. Wish there was a better playlist selection or way to choose stations Still for what it does its a great app. It also integrates controls on your clock Face (complications)..Version: 2.4.4

Love it!Downloaded, connected and worked effortlessly. In my experience that is almost a first for anything Sonos. I was an early adopter, fan and heavily invested in Sonos speakers for my house, but they have worn me down over the years with technical issues and clumsy software. Emblematic is that the company itself hasn’t even put out an Apple Watch app yet. My kudos to the developer of Lyn..Version: 2.2

Probably PEBCAK - solvedI had a problem where Lyd was not properly controlling grouped rooms correctly - volume was only changing in source room. The developer patiently helped me but could not reproduce my results. I finally fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling Sonos controller on all my devices and now it’s fine. Good product, very handy and convenient. Great developer..Version: 3.1.1

An excellent appWhile I had problems installing the app to the watch at first, a quick reboot of both my phone and watch fixed that problem. Once it was installed I quickly discovered it does everything I hoped it would - and more. The force press to group/ungroup is neat, as is near instant access to my Sonos favorites. A great app, well worth the purchase price and its place on my homescreen..Version: 1.1

MUST HAVE for Sonos users!!This app is a MUST HAVE for any Sonos user that has an Apple Watch. I have no idea why Sonos doesn’t have support on the Apple Watch; but this app gets the job done! With their recent updates, it is much more user friendly and much less “buggy”. Spend the small amount of money on this app and you WON’T be disappointed!!.Version: 2.4.2

Works perfectlyRarely do third party controllers work and even then watch apps are even more iffy. But this app bucks both those trends delivering an elegantly designed and reliable experience controlling my home sonos system right from my wrist! Kudos to the team who built and continues to maintain this app. Well worth the low cost of entry. 5 stars..Version: 2.4.2

Not perfect, but as good as it getsThis app does everything that I need it to: Starts/stops music, controls volume, allows me to group/un-group rooms, and change sources. I don’t have Sonos speakers, I have Sonos Connect:Amps (6), an Amp, and a Port. At times it’s slow to connect to the system, but that could be the distance my watch is from the phone or the fact that I have a series 3 watch. Nicely done!.Version: 1.2.3

Love this app, but i wish i didn’t have to pick a room when i only have 1.I love this app and how seamlessly it works with my Sonos, but i wish I didn’t need to click the room I wanted when i only have 1 room. I would rather have it just load as a default. Until then I won’t be giving the app 5 stars. When i do click it though, everything works seamlessly!.Version: 2.0.1

Stopped working recentlyWas a great watch complication but now the Lyd complication does not show any image/graphic on the watch face (or in the complication selection menu when editing the watch face). You can still select Lyd, just know it’ll appear like a blank spot (quite covert haha). The app still loads when you click the blank spot where the icon should be and allows controlling Sonos nicely… please just fix this bug..Version: 3.1

Pretty much flawlessLyd works great, I have no complaints. I bought an Apple Watch and was disappointed to find that there was no official Sonos app. I expected this app to be a bit buggy and unreliable, as that had been my general experience with third party remote apps. But Lyd works great and is really reliable. It’s a remote, it works, that’s all I need from it... five stars..Version: 2.0.1

The app we needed. Saving Sonos from itself. This app is essential to any Sonos system. The Sonos ecosystem is severely lacking and seems to deteriorate with every passing year. I probably would’ve dumped Sonos long ago without this app. Indie developers like this aren’t given nearly enough credit. They’re saving Sonos from itself..Version: 3.1.1

Amazing App!This Sonos watch app has revolutionized my life! I use to search for my phone all over the house to change the volume or song, but then I’d think to myself “Hey you can change all that from your watch”! You won’t be disappointed with this app. I haven’t found one flaw..Version: 2.3

Works great. When it works. Which is most of the time. This works great. Being able to adjust volume and speaker groups from my wrist is awesome. And it works about 90% of the time. When it doesn’t work, I don’t know why. So I have to kill the app on my watch, resync from the Lyd app on my iPhone. And then it works again. Just wish I could figure out why it doesn’t work sometimes..Version: 2.0.1

Better than Sonos iPhone app! This is exactly what I was looking for to control my Sonos speakers from my Apple Watch. It is super easy to use and it makes it very fast to manage my speakers from all the different rooms I have them set up in. If you want simple, easy controls for your Sonos system from your Apple Watch, this is the app you need..Version: 2.0

2.0 update amazingJust updated to the 2.0 update and now this is my favorite Watch app! It is now super fast and responsive, allowing me to easily control my music and speaker volumes as a group and independently. The UI has always been well thought out and app functional, but this new update makes it so much more snappy. Well done! 👍.Version: 2.0

Broken for a while - now back being greatThis is a great little app. A few weeks ago, following a Sonos update, it stopped working but today’s Sonos update (Sonos S1) seems to have fixed the problem. I updated everything, uninstalled and reinstalled Lyd on my Apple Watch and, hey presto, everything works again. Highly recommended..Version: 1.2.3

Excellent! This app works great. Definitely deserves more than the current 3.8 rating. It has been completely reliable and very convenient. The only feature missing is search. However, for the low price, I’m not complaining. I will take quality over a missing feature any day..Version: 1.2.3

Great way to control your Sonos SetupSince “Now Playing” quit working with Sonos, I’ve been using LYD to control my music from my IWatch. Works great to initiate, stop, start, control volume etc. from my watch. Always amazes me this app creator could do this and Sonos did not. They should hire this software writer!.Version: 3.1

FlawlessJust installed this morning on my first try. I am running it on my iPhone 11 Pro 16.4.1 (a) and 6 Series watch 9.4 without a single issue. I dowloaded the app directly to my watch and found the required steps to pair my apple id with SONOS to be pretty straightforward. The hardest thing was recalling my passwords 😬..Version: 2.4.5

Thank you to the developerI can’t live without this app on my wrist. Always lose my phone and never lose my watch. Wish the app could do more but I’m not complaining. This saves the day multiple times so I big big THANK YOU to the developer.Version: 2.4.5

Absolutely fantasticThere is rarely a day that goes by that I don’t use this app. It works exceptionally well and is surprisingly full featured. Nearly everything I can do in the Sonos app, I can do on the watch very quickly. Can’t recommend enough..Version: 3.0

Awesome watch app, gives sonos control from your wrist!Been using this app for years and continues add features and keeps up with Sonos updates/products. This is a must have for anyone with a Sonos setup and Apple Watch. It’s even better than the Sonos app!.Version: 2.4.5

Great Sonos app for Apple WatchThis is what Sonos should have had for their system. Was looking for the ability to control playback from my watch vs having to unlock my phone whenever I needed to make a change. So far this all works flawlessly and supports all the zones I have. Great app!.Version: 1.2.3

Works okIt would be nice if the developer could add a couple simple instructions instead of relying on people to read through responses to bad reviews to find out how to use the complication. Two sentences would work. Thanks! As a new watch owner these things aren’t intuitive for me yet, and I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to control Sonos with the watch right away. ;) Thanks for the app! Any new features planned?.Version: 1.1

Just greatAmazing app !.Version: 3.1.1

Got Sonos and an Apple Watch? You need this. One of the best third party Apple Watch apps..Version: 3.1

Excellent App for controlling Sonos by Apple WatchThis is a well thought and designed. It’s very stable and functional. I’ve had this app for months and use it everyday. I recommend this app..Version: 3.0

You NEED thisIf you have an Apple Watch and Sonos hardware, you need this app. Not only it works flawlessly, but it does things you wish Sonos would have thought about. First, you get a control on your watch. Second, you can control your music remotely. Why would you do this? When you forgot to turn everything off when leaving… My wish list: Complication that allows either to cycle through the zones and show what is playing, or a complication that allows to chose one zone to always show what is playing. The other ask is a way to use Lyd in shortcuts to integrate play/stop in arrival routines, something Sonos doesn’t yet do..Version: 2.4.5

Love this app!Like others if you own Sonos product and an Iwatch, it is definitely a must. Money well spent! Kudos developpers!.Version: 2.4.2

Best Sonos watch appIf you got a Sonos system and an Apple Watch, you 100% need this..Version: 2.2

Completely Needed thisNo more yelling downstairs to family to turn up the music or search for phone or iPad. If you ha e an Apple Watch and don’t have this loaded for your Sonos experience - you do t know what your missing. Don’t think about it - download it..Version: 2.1.1

Works perfectlyReally easy to set up - works great. Definitely worth the money!.Version: 2.1.1

J’adoreExcellent!.Version: 2.0.1

5 StarsAbsolutely easy to set up and works as it should - highly recommend this app!!.Version: 2.0.1

Works as describedWorks as described.Version: 2.0.1

What a great app.I am so in control of everything on Sonos system right from the wrist of my hand. Could not have asked for more. Thank you Lyd. You did a wonderful job..Version: 2.0

Exactly what i neededGreat app!.Version: 1.2.3

Better than expectedThis app exceeded my expectations. I was shocked how quickly it would open and connect. It’s faster than opening Sonos on my phone. I was also pleasantly surprised when I discovered I could use it to control all my speakers while at work too..Version: 1.2.3

Excellent addition to Apple WatchWorks perfect, love how it works with the watch, allowing me to work out and adjust volume or songs from my wrist without the need to have my phone handy. Well done!.Version: 1.2.3

Love LydI just love it. Control my Sonos with my Apple Watch it’s kindness like a futuristic dream.Version: 1.1

Nice! Finally an app to control Sonos through my watch. I love it!.Version: 1.1

AmazingWhy this isn’t a native Sonos app I don’t know. It works great and is so convenient making quick changes from your watch. I originally had issues after install and the developer bent over backwards contacting Sonos and getting the issue resolved (an issue that turned out to be a Sonos problem). If you’ve got an Apple Watch, get Lyd!.Version: 1.1

Brilliant app!Have been looking for this for a while. Sonobit was getting old. Volume control from the crown, not buttons. Switch within Sonos favourites from the watch. Dead simple install. And contrary to another review, it does NOT ask for your IP address: login is via your existing Sonos app..Version: 1.1

Works perfect so farLove this app so far. Just installed it (super easy) and worked like a charm right away. You can add the app as a complication on the watch face so always easy to access and makes it even easier to listen to more music which is really what Sonos is all about. Is my new favourite Apple Watch feature..Version: 1.1
