Useless Customer ServiceRating this 5 stars so the algo puts on top ratings. MUST READ!!! Their customer service just sees people as numbers, they don’t care about anything that happened to you, just your money. I understand that this is a business, and as a business, must generate revenue. I don’t mind spending some because I have fun. But when I have an issue in the game and customer service does nothing, then I don’t feel valued and is NO FUN. I had lag issues and one of my upgrades was cancelled and only half the plasma given back, as well as days of upgrade, biocaps, and speedups. I reached out to support and all I asked for was the plasma I lost due to the lag/freeze issue back. What did I get? I slap in the face nothing and automatically closed my ticket. I hate they close your support tickets right after a response! That shows they don’t give a rats about you or your issue. The issue is/was not resolved and I was not happy. Do not close my tickets automatically! Shame on your customer service. All I was asking is the same items I already had back, since I lost them to a technical issue. This in no way affects other players because I already owned these items! But you know what affects other players and the community? Game dictate your life.If you’re looking for a game that will pretty much take over your whole life you have found the right one. If you’re trying to enjoy a holiday with your family, know that this game will plan an event to interfere. If you choose your family over your game, you may come back to your village being zeroed. Such as what happened to me. You spent a lot of money and time building things up, and really don’t know the rules or how to get certain things even after six months of playing, this game still leaves a mystery. You find you’re doing things wrong which cost you a lot of time and then find others that know what they’re doing but won’t share that information with you even though they’re on the same team as you. They will take you and lead you into battles and won’t explain things to you and then they end up getting you in trouble because you don’t know what you’re doing. Some of your leaders will badmouth other teams which will cause the other teams to come after everybody in the group, not just the one that’s doing the bad mouthing so pick your alliance wisely. Streamers are there to take even more money from you. After awhile the game gets repetitive and you need to set an alarm for them. Make sure you are playing the time zone as most of your alliance or you will be left out of many good events. Plan to rack up $1000 on your credit card yearly. I did and I am frugal. Game of true survivalI downloaded this game ever since it came out. MUST READ!! It was the best game, unfortunately every sate began to die and remaining states are going through what I went through. The games was ok till about 3 years ago when an updated turned things to worse. Low ranking players can’t rise due to high ranking players wanting more power. If one can’t get more power then one burns low rankers and it goes to the point low rankers leave. And this goes on causing the population of players per state to decrease and honestly, uniting states to prevent death of states due to low population does not help nor makes thing better for us players no mater what this game states the end of the game. STATE OF SURVIVOR is precisely how this game ends, only the strongest players survive EVERY STATE AS STATES ARE UNITED. Unless you the player are willing to make the owner of this game richer in order to survive you to will die eventually meaning you won’t be able to catch up to the strongest to survive. After so many years of playing my state died and the ever so few players that we were, a ghost town, were sent to a stronger state only for us to end up not surviving. Fair and uniqueI went in to SoS with indifferent and honestly low expectations. The ads I’ve seen don’t do it justice though I know it’s a hard genre to advertise. I really like the multiple things you can do instead of just managing your settlement. I think the little exploration tasks and survival challenges really add flavor to it and are pretty fun. The in game transactions are honestly fair priced and you still get a lot of biocaps for completing missions so unless you have something specific in mind you might not even need to buy to progress. I like the multiple chiefs and their different combat abilities too. I think the events are pretty neat. The dailys are really beneficial too. If I had any criticism it’d be that it might be nice to have troops linger in the battlefield instead of completely returning. It can be a little cumbersome to have two intel missions right next to each other, 80km out, and have to wait 3 minutes for them to come back to send them out again. Though it’s entirely possible I’ve missed something. All in all, I’m having fun with it. Being in an alliance actually feels helpful for timers and such when in other games I’ve barely noticed their assistance. Fun so far!I’ve only been playing a few days and finding SoS entertaining. I’ve found an alliance that is friendly and helpful and am busy growing my settlement and my game status. Most games are fun at first, so I am not convinced that my positive feelings now will be the same later on. I’ve played Age of Orgins for a couple of years and have seen a very cool game destroyed by greed and disregard for players who cannot invest thousands per week to stay on top. I understand that game designers need to be paid, but there has to be a better way, or at least a method of managing the game to give small spenders a chance. Otherwise, as merges occur, big-spending leaders clash for power, and there is no cooperation or fun in a continuous civil war. In Age of Origins it takes days to replenish higher level troops, which equals months to make any kind of an army unless you spend big bucks to hurry the process. So many are reluctant to go to battle because the losses are so difficult to recover from. Visit any world in Age of Origins and you will see endless bubbled cities and hundreds of abandoned ones. I’m only saying this as a warning to the developers of SoS. Try to do better. Needs some additional helpOkay so the game is basically pretty cool but it has some draw backs first of all u less you spend money it’s hard to collect all the players cause you have to collect pieces of them and if you get them you rarely get them again to level up but you’ll get the same 2 characters till there generals and the dam game goes into over drive and when you do the searches like your supposed to now all of a sudden the game wants to give you 5 of that character now and you cannot even use them any more why not rotate the players you do need why does it give you the same 2 people and you can’t use those pieces anymore. Also when your in a clan you cannot share your resources with you guild mates on all other games you can share supplies within your guild and they tax you for it which is very helpful cause if your attacked and all of your supplies are taken and they have killed all your troops it will take you a week just to get back to what you had because it takes for ever to collect the resources back to get your troops back if you could share withi. Your guild you could put a tax on the resources that you share so like if you shared a million food or wood the tax could be high to begin with but if you leveled up say a trading station your taxes of resoreces could be reduced but never less than say 10% I just wish it would be more team friendly that away. State of survival (cons and pros)State of survival is a great and Over all a very good game, you can never get bored with all the daily missions. Daily missions when completed give you loot and other resources, the game gives you opportunity to communicate with other players and work as a team to survive. I enjoy the explorer trails, they are challenging and fun, sometimes challenges can be hard and that’s why there’s an auto button. This was a great game, and I most of all loved when there were events like the joker. This allowed me to do so much more, and cure my boredom. You can get prizes and sometimes even more characters. Though some cons come in, you can’t really upgrade fast, for you need supplies that is hard to get and without that supplies you can’t do quite a lot. Like training troops for instance, and fighting or going on explorer trails. Some challenges can hold you back in the game and the prices for resources are high. Even though the cons aren’t the greatest I love this game and everything with it, it’s so amazing. There’s even a help center where you can text people or workers in the game to get supplies and other questions answered. The game is a fun and exclusive way to cure boredom, it teaches a lot and I feel this game has really benifited me and will do the same for you. Love it! BUT...I love this game highly addicted and happy to have spent money on it. There hasn’t been a game I’ve actually enjoyed this much until this game. BUT, I have recently hit a brick wall, I’m a clan leader but the alliance has hit a brick wall with the alliance towers and research because there are no Gas Alliance Nodes along the outskirts meaning you have to move closer towards the middle to get Gas alliance nodes, unfortunately it also makes it harder to move because clans already Staken claim to areas within the map making it harder for smaller clans to grow and build along side of them. Honestly there should be more Gas alliance nodes all over the map especially on the outskirts of the map so it’s fair for all alliances. Also there should also be a way to @ people in chat whether it’s one person or the clan as a whole. Lastly I feel like clan leaders should have more reign during alliance events for example Alliance Showdown, give the clan leader the chance to move people to different lanes. Honestly, I want to give this game 5 stars hands down, but there are just things that limit growth in the game whether it’s individual or as a clan. But I still love the game I just wish things could be added to the game ie; Gas Alliance Nodes around the outskirts, since there are already farm, wood, and metal Nodes. .I got this game about a week ago, so far I’m liking it. I did go ahead and purchase the Extra Labor Pack, my card got charged but I did not get the pack.. i had to “update” my payment so it directed me to the App Store and I put okay and the payment went through then when I went back the the game it said “payment failed”. So I was like okay whatever, I was pretty hesitant to buy it in the first place so I didn’t mind that it didn’t go through, he next day I check my purchase history in the App Store and I had a payment pending for The State Of Survival.... I go and check my bank app AND of course the payment is pending. So I tried disputing it with apple first and all they said was to contact the game support. So I went to see if I can find a number or something AND nothing. So I have to now dispute it with my bank and it is very annoying that the payment went through but I didn’t get the pack... which I really want because it has that extra slot to build two things at once, which would be fantastic. Now I’m just going to wait for my money to get back into my account and hopefully the pack is still there so I can purchase the thing and actually get what I’m paying for lol. Need a new ranking systemFun Plus is raking in the ratings from Kings Group hard work, Fun Plus customer support is impossible to contact unless you have screen shots (which don't always apply). And when they do and you explain the issue, they don’t care and close your ticket immediately or just ignore it and you get zero response. More zero response lately because Fun Plus doesn't care. Latest event people lost millions of points due to a glitch, I sent in ss showing this I had lost x number of points, but only noticed it after my 5th upgrade, meaning they had one score out of four previous ones. So what did their “customer service” do? Nothing. Never heard from them. I've quit spending on the game and will refuse to do so until my proper rewards are delivered to me. I earned them, but you failed. We just finished merge and half my state is thinking about quitting because of Fun Plus. Yeah one state out of over 1,100 isn’t anything. Which is why a new ranking system need to used. Let’s see what the real ranking is with Fun Plus and their incompetent customer service. I'll guarantee unless they bot rate it, it'll be 3* or less. Average free game with good graphicsOverall SoS is a good enough game for being free. The graphics are good and there’s plenty of content to do for being a free game. That being said, the developers make it clear they want you to spend money by constantly putting different ‘packs’ everywhere on your screen that can be purchased. One example is that every time you load the game there’s a pack that is offered for 4.99 (right now it’s the Survival of the Fittest pack). You can also pay to have a second construction slot to upgrade buildings, which is reasonable for the price. What isn’t reasonable is that every time you create a new character, you have to purchase the second construction slot again. This was very misleading because I purchased it on my first character thinking it was a one-time only purchase because it literally says that in the game! The game can be played without ever having to pay money, but just know that you won’t ever be as powerful as the people who pay for power(yes this game is pay-to-win). I’ve been playing this game for over 10 months now and I do enjoy it, although sometimes I do get annoyed at how much the game tries to advertise different things that can be purchased. Good game with the same old storyThe game is fun and the graphics are very well done. But as is the norm for this type of game it’s fun for a few days then you need to shell out $$$ to get things done without waiting hours for upgrades on buildings or troops to finish. This game has good game play and lots of missions to keep you busy but once again it’s a game where the biggest players destroy the smaller players constantly so what’s the sense of playing. I don’t mind being attacked and losing a battle and resources but there no way to continue to grow when you are attacked and destroyed several times a day. Put a limit on how much a player can lose before a free and I mean free shield pops up to save loss of resources based on player level. I liked this game and even in an alliance you get destroyed. It’s a shame I don’t mind spending here and there to play but the cost of a shield is way too expensive. Just another good game that’s going to lose out on the volume of player to please the few big spenders. Such a shame this was a well designed game. It’s almost a great game. But who wants to grind and have nothing to show for it when your not on and have to start over. If you lose a battle pvp you might as well quit moving your base and a shield (peace flare) will break you wallet. Fun and Addictive! LOTS to do!I have been playing a week or so; it is a fun addictive game with tons to do. Pokes to spend real money on the game are pretty reasonably not in your face but easily found if you want to go that route. I did spend about $15 on a top-up special and it gave me a big start as far as being able to speed up training and upgrading of my buildings. Worth it to me. Heck, I’d easily spend that on lunch and now that we’re in the COVID-19 era, I’m not going out to lunch as often as I used to so might as well still have some fun! I joined an alliance that is casual but active, which is nice! I love the events and the way that missions and other tasks are kinda staggered so you can play for pretty long periods of time. I wish that I could queue up research when individual research tasks are less than 10 minutes, maybe up to a limit of three tasks. Not a fan of shooty stuff where I have to control individual heroes so I’m really glad I can set the shooty challenges on auto and 3x speed...it is amusing to watch the zombies shamble into bullets and die in that mode. Nicely designed, visually attractive game. I will play for a long time, for sure. I wish there was more stuff to decorate my settlement with! AddictiveAddictive game. The first few levels are great but as you advance upgrades to your buildings take longer and longer until upgrades take hours to complete. To make matters worse you hit a wall on what you can do without upgrading. You cannot queue up your upgrades so the next one starts when the one you are working on finishes. That would be a great feature to help with advancing gameplay while you are off doing real life things like working, going to school or sleeping. You cannot add a second construction slot to work on other things unless you pay real money. The same goes for training troops. At higher levels it takes hours. Upgrading your hero hits a wall. The really good upgrades, you guessed it, costs real money. Exploring the world? You can send out tow groups to gather resources, which once again, takes hours on higher levels. You cannot get more groups to send out unless, you guessed it again, pay real money. Researching new technologies. You hit the upgrade wall and you can’t research more than one thing at a time unless, you guessed it, pay real money. Do you see a pattern emerging? After a certain point this becomes a wait forever for something to happen or pay to play. I am almost a week into it and have already hit the pay to play wall. I love this game a lot But…..I mean I obviously love this game seeing as I’ve spent a lot in it already. My problem comes in yesterday when I purchased the Dynamic Weekly Sale 3 deal. Before I purchased that, I saw the Research bundle and bought it for $4.99 ($5.29) and it came through no problem with all my resources in it like it was supposed to have. THEN, I ordered the Dynamic Weekly Sale 3 BUNDLE which included the rewards for that bundle and it was suppose to include an extra set of rewards full of hour speedsup. I had to unlock those hour speedups by completing things in the game and they would unlock using a key. So when I bought the dynamic deal it was to include the original rewards AND the extra set of rewards I unlocked! I contacted support in the game and they told me that the rewards were issued. They absolutely were not issued to my account because I would’ve been able to use them for the challenges I had to do with my Alliance. I didn’t get the extra like I was supposed to and they telling me I did. My whole entire outlook of this game changed because it just seems like they only care about the money and not the real issues of people. Great game butI love the game but if the creators are reading the reviews please listen to this one I would like more customization in the construction area of decorations because I want to customize my HQ more like for example add something like cut down logs to sit on for like a camp fire set up like I can put a mini bonfire then put logs around it and have a little camp set up and other customization things around the game like customizing your own character you can unlock things like shirts shoes socks pants accessories like jewelry sunglasses or glasses and you don’t have to go that far into it but add things like eyecolor and facial hair and expressions. Different from the othersI began playing this game out of boredom with no expectations or desire to continue to play past the first day. This was not the case however. As soon as I went through the standard learning curve that all mobile RPG/Strategy base building games have, I knew it was a game I can see myself playing and investing time into. This game has a lot of the elements that other successful and popular games of the same genre has, but it is unique enough to keep you interested because it has added features and mechanics to the game that I personally haven’t seen in others. This game doesn’t feel like a “copy and paste” clone of other well known games that many many others on the app stores have become. The best part about this game in my opinion, is that I do not feel as if it a straight up cash grab game that pressures you into feeling like the only way you will succeed is if you spend a lot of money; if I spend any money, it will be because I want to not because I feel as if I have to. Honest OpinionSince there isn't an updated Review on this game and I know that Reviews are technically personal opinions, but hear me out. This game is somewhat fun and somewhat boring. I play it daily and there's some pros and cons. I wish the cooldown for the Settlement Buffs were less because I can't take a 20 minute without my settlement getting attack and then I'm back to square 1, trying to make "money" again. It's also very simple to get currency in this game. I've only spent money on this game once and it's only been $4.99 other than that in my opinion, you really don't have to spend money on this game like others are saying. I also think there should be a mute button for messages that are being sent by Alliance members because they can be some spammers and it gets pretty annoying from time to time. Not to mention, that after you finish beating all of the "Boss" zombies to unlock your land that's it, there's no more boss levels to complete which is kind of boring because that was the only reason why I continued to play this game. There are mini version of the boss levels on a mini map, but I preferred the bigger boss levels you had to clear to unlock land. Don’t put money or time into a game that requires you to bind your account.The app restarted my game when I upgraded my phone. Don’t put your money or time into this game unless you can bind the account. It’s been over a week since I last logged in. Several active players sent Help and Support messages about what happened. Help and support is useless even though you send screenshots of all the transactions, chief information, coordinates, etc. I hope players are still active if I ever get my account back. Other than that I had fun playing the game. I enjoyed customizing my settlement and teaming with other players to fight the plague. If help and support were better this would be a five star game. Update: Help and Support was able to relocate my account after 26 days and I’m happy to play again. Unfortunately my base’s resources and troops were all depleted and I couldn’t start off running. My absence has impacted the alliance and many players lost interest in the game. I tried my best by purchasing several packs to rebuild my settlement and troops but I wasn’t the strong player that I used to be. I tried to motivate players to participate in events but we weren’t able to place anymore. It’s sad to see the players that I invested my time into leave the game. Update 1.9 was terribleThis game is good for what it is. It’s a zombie survival game. I mean I spend more time fighting other survivors than zombies, but whatever. I enjoy it for the events and the fun I have with the players. Overall it could be better for reasons I state below. Each update seems to have more and more things that players are not requesting and less things we actually want. Please listen to those who are playing your game and fix the issues. We can all adapt to changes and work with new ideas, but completely overhauling something that has no problems, with no reasoning, makes no sense and only takes away from the gaming experience. Many of us have put a lot of time and money into the game, so consider that before just trashing what we love about the game and take heed to our suggestions. There have been update that came as a request of players, and that’s awesome but more often than not it’s a patch or a throw in instead of being a planned thing. Better than Most!I’ve played this game fore only 3 days but I can tell that this is a different experience than what I’m used to. I’m this game there are so many different gameplay mechanics that you may forget. Not only can you attack other players bases, but there is a single player mode, and side quests. The single player missions are similar in terms of gameplay and the story may be not that fleshed out, but it’s still highly enjoyable. However this is a free to play game, so how are the micro transactions handled? Unfortunately every time you load up the game they will shove a micro transaction opportunity done your throat. They also put micro transaction logos over key buildings in the game in the hope that players will click on them. I have done this several times and it’s an annoyance in my opinion. I understand why they do this, but I still don’t agree with it. However the positive to all of this? You DO NOT need to buy these transactions to progress at an acceptable pace. There are plenty of ways to speed up building construction and scientific research. Free to play…Sure, it’s free to play but you will be miserably slow at growing your base, heroes, soldiers, gear, etc. It basically is a pay to win game that is constantly coming up with new stuff that requires even MORE money to play. Starts out fun…I’ve been playing SOS almost every day for years. It does start out as fun. Unfortunately though, you will have to come to terms with the fact that you are surrounded by players that have spent hundreds if not thousands of $$$ and you will never be able to play on their level. Also, there is a growing trend of bullies and if you don’t keep a very low profile and avoid them your base will be completely flattened. your friends and fellow alliance members will not be able to do anything to help you. I’ve seen it numerous times now and recently it’s happened to me. I’m powerless to do anything and in our state the governor and big alliance leaders are all so overpowered that nobody dares say anything so every time we get a new player they leave after a few days. Not bad, surprisingly fun and addictiveI just downloaded this game yesterday. I have spent money on it, because I’m impatient and from prior experiences playing games like this. If you don’t pay for some of the “perks”(extra resources, speed up etc.); you will be a target for the really big spenders. They will zero you out and lose interest in the game. You can’t play on your own, you will need to join an alliance to make it easier to get resources and reduce the amount of time building and researching. It seems like the devs are listening to the players, on current event, they lowered the requirement to obtain prizes. The game is simple and isn’t too hard to figure out. One of the things I think that needs improvement is the requirements to get a peace shield. You have to use “bio-caps”, which are hard to get. If you get bio-caps, it’s takes a lot of them to get a 24 peace shield. Quick search on the internet, I found you can enter codes to get bio-caps and others things to get you going, that is a nice surprise. Overall it’s not that bad of a game. If a higher level player attacks you, there is very little you can do except watch, grit your teeth, and do nothing. If you try to counterattack, you (and possibly your entire alliance) will get blown to smithereens. So even though the game is called a “strategy” game, in reality it is a “numbers” game and nothing more. As your settlement progresses to higher levels, it will require more time to level up. Minutes become hours, hours become days, and days become weeks. When you reach this point, you can either develop the patience of a Zen monk and grind away without spending anything, or you can spend your hard-earned cash to reach higher levels faster. Forced P2WI love games, I enjoy them as much as I can regardless of the problems. I don’t ever remember leaving a bad review for any game. That being said, this game will make even Ghandi come post some shhhht. The game can be decently fun and you end up liking how they set up pretty much everything, but the p2w system, which by the time you realize how bad it is, your stuck. I have had many issues with this system and I ended up shrugging it off because of how I am. The only reason I am still playing, is because of some nice people. But the only reason I am posting in here is because of how hard it is just to post a ticket about yet another error. Horrible SupportThe game is similar to others out there. Build a settlement, attack zombies and compete with others for rewards. Warning, it is an expensive game. I’m fine with that, my issue is that their support is horrible. If you have any issue, it’s your fault. The game is riddled with bugs that lead to missing rewards (both free, and ones YOU PAID FOR), also some of the benefits (called buffs) you purchase won’t always work. Again, if you contact support, they will immediately say it’s your fault and close the support ticket. I found too many bugs that took things away from me that I paid for, so I stopped putting any money in. I also reported a few mystery charges I did not initiate, again it’s your fault, not theirs. I suggest you play it for free, and resist the urge to spend, because the developers will just find a way to steal from you. Terrible support team. Cannot fix login issues they caused.Worked fine until New Year Update 2 days ago. Now, cannot log into game, only can go online submit and read tickets. Example of Good Game Gone WrongIs it possible to give a lower rating than 1 star? I’ve been playing this game for close to 3 years now since the start of COVID and it was honestly fun in the beginning. After a while we noticed the amount of money this game was trying to pull out of our pockets, but in a way it was acceptable at the time as the new releases weren’t outrageous in terms of timeline and increases in power were marginal. If someone wanted to, they could skip out on certain things and be “smart-er” (considering we are spending on something virtual, I use this word cautiously) with the way they spend. This all changed and the company started to push out new items and content frequently with the impact on gameplay significant. As an example, over a single month, 3 new things were introduced into the game that greatly impacted gameplay. It forces people to have to spend to stay remotely relavant and to help their alliances. If not, the game is literally unplayable as you will lose months, if not years of hard work saving resources and training troops, to major spenders deciding the best thing in the world is to attack everyone for nothing more than a laugh. I’ll probably stay around for some of the people met along the way, but I’d strongly suggest staying away from this game unless you have piles of money laying around that you don’t know what to do with. Could be a great game... bullying ruins it!It’s supposedly free to play but unless you put in a lot of money, unless you have a endless supply of cash or your mommy and daddy‘s credit card you aren’t going to get anywhere but crushed. And the developers don’t care, or that’s the feeling that is received by everyone. There’s different levels that your base can be at and different stars your base can have. I’ve watched repeatedly as alliances that have eight star bases attack little alliances and crush level 28, level 25, heck I’ve even seen a level 20 go down under a 8 star base, because they don’t have the cash to put into it. There’s nothing to stop much much higher levels from killing states. Those are called dead states, and there’s a lot of that going on. There is nothing put into place to stop the rampant killing, BULLYING, that’s going on. The Devs could put a stop by just halting anyone from attacking three levels below their own, but that might stop the money from coming in and they can’t have that. It’s going to come to a point where everyone leaves and the only ones left are the credit card players, and soon they’ll have to attack their own. This game was fun, it’s just not anymore. Fun-ish but...So, ive played a ton of these types of games. They all have their issues. But this one was one of my favorites of the genre. It was really well made. Has a lot of heroes that are all pretty well balanced. Good side tasks. Right level of grind for leveling. Etc. But the devs have been absolutely tanking the greatness of the game steadily more and more over time. They increased prices, give discounts to new accounts and not to people who have played for a long time, made a lot of changes that were all generally negatively received by everyone except the biggest spenders, and their handling of dead servers is really terrible. Instead of taking care of dead servers and transferring the active players to a new server with new players, they just merge dead servers with older active ones where the active one far outpaces the dead one so everyone gets trampled quickly. Then pump out fresh new servers that you can make a new character on like candy which means anything you bought on the old server is effectively wasted since nothing transfers to a new character. Requested full refund and termination of accountI left my ID number, IGN, and what state with evidence showing that what they got sued for last year, is still happening again, and I would’ve not known about the issue if there wasn’t an article about the company getting sued again for the same reason, but on a different game. Players are unheardI have been playing this game for over a year. I would call myself a moderate spender. I have invested $1,000’s of dollars. I am definitely a top 20-25 player in my state. My husband also plays, and he is one of top 10 strongest players in the state. So you see, we’ve invested a lot of money and time. Our alliance is ranked 2 in our state and we’re competitive on a global scale with players reaching the top 100 global leaderboard. Now we watch as our state and alliance dies around us. Players are leaving everyday. There is no replacing them because there are no players left to replace them with. The constant large upgrades have made spenders leave because their previous $20,000 investment is no longer going to be able to compete with the player that is dropping another $20,000 into the newest upgrades. The gap between free-to-play and pay-to-play is almost laughable at this point. To top off costs and the dying state components the game is incredibly glitchy and at game day reset you know you’re not going to be able to login. The rewards for the “everyday” events like bunkers and facilities, horde, plague zones, intel, CC, and SvS are so dated and really only help low spend players that are just starting out. Terrible customer service. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEYI have been playing this game for almost a year. It has been fun and there are a lot of good qualities to it. What has ruined it is the lack of interest to their user base. I had made a purchase and the game crashed (the game crashes A LOT) and i contacted their customer service, which is pretty much a chat bot. Waited. Waited. Waited some more and nothing so i contacted apple. They issued a refund and thats when I received a response from SoS. I was placed in probation for requesting a refund and until i pay back the refund i would not be allowed back. WHAT? Lol.. i pleaded my case but they refused to acknowledge the validity of my claim and kept repeating that refunds requests are a violation to their terms.. what a joke... especially from someone whose spent a pretty penny in this game. When i submitted my ticket with customer service i had all documents. I had receipts, proof of purchase from paypal/apple as well as screenshots that the package that i paid for was still locked.. they still refused to see the evidence and only focused on me requesting a refund from apple. Rating DroppedWhile you can compete up to level 30 as f2p if you watch strategy guides to know your best options it eventually becomes “Spend all day playing AND spend money to keep up.” It is fun but unless you’re bored and have a lot of extra money you’ll likely decide you have better things to do with them. A lot of different things in one game: From challenges to decorating your base…am never bored. Can buy cool game gear but not required to enjoy the game. Stunning graphics and interesting plot. No sure whyNot sure why I keep logging in. No sure why I even hit the buttons, not sure why I train troops,not sure why I care. This game has no point at first you have fun you build you grow then it all stops. It then becomes a game of well I’ll log in just to see if my people have been eaten, or if my supplies have been taken in a attack, it at the point of sheer boredom. So I’m not sure why I keep logging in and clicking the buttons. The constant updates got old 20 updates ago and that is not an exaggeration. The “ challenges” are not. Good Game, but don’t spend money hereThe game is fun. But you need to be very careful about where you settle down and where you choose to build your headquarters. Before you build, or invest ANY money, try to get a sense of the alliances there. Once you are there for a few days, you cannot take your HQ and move to another state, so you have to abandon it and start over. And spend more money. Many states are full of bullies, who destroy weaker alliances for no reason and force them to abandon what they have built. The game does not prevent the strongest players (5 star/level 35) from attacking anyone, no matter the difference in power. It does not limit the number of attacks or cap resources that can be stolen. People are openly bullied and harassed in the state chat by these groups. That is a BIG problem in this game. The developers do not respond or assist, even when presented with picture evidence of the bullying, copies of attack logs and other evidence. Probably because they already got the money from the players and don’t care. This game could be so much better and enjoyable for everyone, with a few small changes, and if the developers cared to stop the terrible behavior. Don’t waste your time. It’s rigged to make you spend money .This game has potential to be fun. But it’s an exercise in futility. You join up and get put in a state only to see level 30 players who spent hundreds and thousands of dollars bullying everyone who doesn’t spend money or is new. So you can have your settlement for a week and some other player comes along who’s been playing for a year destroys you. Even if you spent money for the first week they are to powerful and the money you spent was a waste. They even have an event called kill stage where you get points for kills. You will spend all of your moneyThis game is fun with many ways to strategize for optimal play. However, the constant barrage of advertisements for $4.99 here and $4.99 there to enhance your experience are designed for players to accept without thinking. For those with problems of self control, especially during a pandemic when you’re trying to find an escape from the real world, you will easily spend thousands of dollars without realizing it. In order to be a top player in this game and compete for top prizes, you will have to spend $10,000+ and deal with sexual harassment, hate, bigotry, xenophobia, and a multitude of other undesirable characteristics of top players. I have created accounts in at least 7 different states in this game and there is only one state that has some semblance of organization. It can be fun, but it can also be financially devastating and gut wrenching for people looking for a simple escape during a global crisis. Broken/glitchy app - No supportThis game is super glitchy and crashes constantly. I’ll get locked out of the game for hours and have entire events or tasks I miss because of constant glitches and crashing. Events are basically “pay to win/pay to play” and so is pretty much every other part of the game. This would be fine except that I will spend the money, and it could be a few hundred dollars, on events, only for it to crash every time I try to load it and prevent me from playing much if any of said event. As the issues have been getting steadily worse over the last few months, as much as I loved and enjoyed the game, I am ready to call it quits. I want the money I’ve put into the game back because it’s literally unplayable. Of course the developers and apple support are both completely unhelpful telling me I should try and dispute the charges with my bank instead of trying to get help from them. Money Hungry DevelopersI’ve been playing this game for over a year. Can’t even tell you how much I’ve spent but well over $5,000. Unfortunately they just keep putting out more and more new things to force you to spend. The cost of the items you need is ridiculously high and most event are focused around spenders. If you want to actually stand a chance to participate or lead a rally, win bunker fights you need to spend thousands and every 3 months they keep putting out new heroes that make the ones you invested in before irrelevant for the big battles. They went from 30 HQ - to Plasma 3* HQ - to 5* HQ now 8* HQ and these plasma upgrades are insane amounts of plasma and the cost to buy it is not cheap. The game maybe give you 20 plasma a day by completing dailies and your intel. But to go from HQ 30 to full 1* plasma it costs 1,650 plasma…. A crate of 600 plasma is like $70. From 1* up to 2* costs 1,900 plasma, and to 3* costs another 2,970 plasma… and it only goes up so just think about the cost and time it takes. They keep updating the game to make us spend more and more money but have not updated the games events rewards to be applicable for older states. Every week they have bunker/facility fights with rewards that most players can’t even use anymore. It’s not even worth the teleport to go there or the resources used to heal to fight for them. Every other week they do Capital clash or Server vs Server. Again the amount you spend on biocaps, resources, speed ups, and teleports are not really worth the rewards. These events also also start at 10:00 UTC (universal time clock) so this means for people in other areas of the world you need to wake up at 4am or earlier to participate and it’s a 8hr event. Reasons people keep playing because you create bonds and friendships, you enjoy your alliance mates and overall community. Also you feel you already spent so much money it would be a waste to quit… but at the end really you will keep loosing money the longer you play and the sooner you quit the more you start to save yourself. This game really needs to: 1. UPDATE THE BUNKER/ FF REWARDS 2. Update the intel and dailies rewards give more plasma and newer gen hero fragments 3. Stop pushing out new updates and give players a chance to catch up and enjoy the process they made. 4. Fix all the lag and connection issues kicking people from the game, making the game crash trying to build a tower or reinforce someone. 5. Bring the older states store option to spend alliance currency to restock items we need like advance teleports and shields in the newer states. 6. Make the CC / SVS a rotated time or vote in 3 times like the Fortress fights. 7. Hero vouchers should carry over to the next release since the cost for the heroes change anyways there is no reason to leave us with vouchers we can no longer use. A couple here a couple there could all stack together and be used. 8. They should add in presets for micro healing for big events and more troop formation presets. 9. We need bigger resource tiles and more ways to get plasma and biocaps without spending. 10. People shouldn’t have to spend $1000 to get an HQ skin many other games sell fancy HQ skins for $20-60…. Maybe $100 for a really fancy one. 11. The peace flares should stack or have a longer time. If someone wants to go on vacation with family and take a week off they shouldn’t have to worry about getting zeroed. 12. Game reviewI’ve played the game for a few months and it’s relatively standard in terms of its dynamics but there are a few issues for sure. 1) too many simultaneous events in the game. There always seem to be 6-10 unrelated events on going that just creates noise in the game. It is very distracting and doesn’t encourage game play 2) The armies you build take a long time to create and can be wiped out in certain events. 3) There seems to be very little state to state warfare which would encourage alliances to merge and compete.
