“You have no friend.”This game is great. Really well made. The true spirit of the original game is preserved and enhanced. The big issue I see so far is the huge sticker price on the micro transactions. Do people really pay $80 for a little in-game currency? I don’t get it. I feel like you’d make more money with smaller transactions and higher volume. At least, I hope so. Maybe that one one-percenter brat just buys it all up, doesn’t bat an eye, then deletes app and installs something else tomorrow, I don’t know. Old money is dumb money. Maybe pay someone with English as a first language to take a pass over your English translations. Update: this game has a lot of depth and is really well put together. It starts out super easy but progressively gets more difficult, until you’re forced to improve your gameplay to continue. The difficulty balancing reminds me of the Japanese games of the 80s and 90s. Is this a port? They just don’t make games like this anymore. The monetization has the familiar paywall hidden in the gem currency. Use gems wisely and do the dailies on low difficulty to ensure you’re accruing them. It’s not in your face terrible monetization. I shelled out for the $3 or whatever package just to contribute to a good game and I may do it again if it looks like it will actually get me something tangible. Used to be fun. Now deceptive.This game was a blast at first. Loved creating my fleet and shooting things. Then you realize, since there isn’t a player’s manual, that you have to do all these other things to gain the items needed to keep making your fleet better, or you won’t go far at all in the game. Now updates are happening every few days. While the tournaments and special events are cool, they don’t tell you that they keep making it harder to win. The enemies keep getting harder to beat and your planes firepower and armor gets weaker and weaker. Perfect example today- played a daily mission like I always do and win. Then update comes out. After update, play that daily mission again. Can NOT win at all now. Try multiplayer, that I usually do really well in. Matched against someone higher rank but with fewer planes. I don’t even last a minute, lose all my planes and the match. They didn’t lose a single plane. I couldn’t kill any of the enemy that I didn’t have a problem with yesterday. So, yeah, anytime an update says “improve performance” they really mean make it harder to play. If you don’t spend real money, don’t expect to get far. AND it’s expensive! I have bought some cheaper things a couple times but usually everything costs so much! And I know they get this feedback a LOT but they don’t care. Difficulty of stagesHey guys I’m just writing this review because I love this game I’ve actually been playing the original game back in the day when it was on Consol I believe it was a Sega or Nintendo I’m not sure but this game the roots of a cool way back and I’ve been playing it since then I love this game now I have to say that your earlier versions as far as stage difficulties were reasonable but now these late version all the stages don’t seem to match up with the progression of the game and the way you get to upgrade your airplanes like some of the stages are ridiculously tough like you upgrade your planes and your bullets have no effect on all these tank airplanes in upgraded AI. One more thing before I finish this review when you guys add new versions and upgrade the game you’ve been coming out with changes in the game and it doesn’t explain what the new items mean like how to receive these extra things how to go about using them and what they mean they just pop up and all the sudden the game is not recognizable I think there needs to be a section when you add things to the game that explain what these new upgrades are for weapons and getting points and getting items to get these new features there’s no explanation on what anything means you have to literally sit there and guess anyways like I said I’m a fan of the game it’s a good game but some changes need to be made thanks a lot.Steady1of1Version: 9.08

A good game, heavy grind for players.A great game inspired by the classics, unfortunately the marketing system is what causes the game to be poor. Now I and everyone else know it’s a free game but besides child gambling (the new gear system) that you developers added the box reward system is awful. Never knowing what reward you get is terrible especially when the only way to rank your plane, wingman and special abilities up is through random methods.A complete waste of time. When one person can get the items they need all randomly and the other players all spend months or years getting the same modules. Next is the price for in game purchases which is astronomically insane. It’s the 21st century a free to play game and your deals are hundreds of dollars??? Is that a joke? One console game is 60$ u.s. no special edition or anything but in this free game one plane cost over 40$ and it’s not even the best. First ever reviewDear developers, I’ve never written a game review before, but I played the bejesus out of this so I thought I’d share pros and cons. First of all, really great gameplay. The menuing system was hard to figure out but I eventually got it. You have to be very precise in your movements, and on the hardest levels, develop a strategy with how you time your special attacks. It’s very challenging as you progress to the higher levels, but it’s doable with the one upgraded plane you can get for $2.99. At least I think. I’ve been stuck on level 97 for a few days. I think I can beat it, I’ve gotten so close, but I fear I won’t be able to progress soon without paying dumb amounts of money. And that’s the problem—the micros are very dumbly exorbitant. It’s literally $100 for the best planes. It would actually be over $900 if, heaven and hell forbid, you loved the game so much you wanted to collect all the planes and weapons. Even if some idiot would pay that, please change this. It feels like you’re being punished or laughed at for getting into this game and wanting to beat it. Great way to spend spare time.This is a fun shoot them all plane game. Similar to games from the late 80s, it doesn’t have much story line but so how keeps me playing for hours. There is a lot of different kind of game play available. These include division/team quests, playing against other players for high score or longest lasting, and level by level/normal gameplay. Each level is harder than the next. Sometimes the difficulty becomes impossible to overcome without upgrading your plane,pilot, and squadron. There are many ways to earn upgrades and it is also possible to purchase many of the items necessary to upgrade. Warning: though it is possible to purchase upgrades, that option is very expensive as compared to simply playing and participating in all the various types of team fights, and tournaments. A perfect casual play game.First off I want to say this game is perfect for the person who wants a simple easy to get into game to play. It has a well developed soundtrack and very straightforward gameplay. The game has an aptly themed Division (guild/clan) system. And there is a good balance between the amount of ads vs gameplay. There are, however, a few things that do bother me a bit. The first thing is how hard it is to earn coins and diamonds in the more difficult stages (starting at level 30+). Not to mention there is absolutely no division tutorial, or any tutorial worth mentioning. Do you realize I had to spend 2 days trying to figure out how to get co-op points? Going back to earning currency, I do think that the costs of division upgrades should be tweaked more in the favor of the player a bit (aka cut in half as a player is likely to spend twice as much to get the upgrades) but the plane upgrades are set correctly. Too many issuesLet’s start with the biggest problem. This game had seemingly no support. I have messaged the linked “website” (Facebook page) and have had no response in over a week. You pay for premium and the ads that you ultimately still have to watch to play the game, especially in later levels, freeze the game and close the app. Since gaining access to a third jet, it usually respawns my worst jet, if the ads don’t freeze the game. You compete in tournaments and win; but never receive your prizes (hours later at least). I have been holding out writing this review in hopes things might get resolved but I can’t even get a response. So here we are. There are issues too but these are my main complaints. Great game, getting a little unreasonably tough.This game is incredibly addictive. It is fun with smooth, simple, old school gameplay during missions, but also has an RPG like feel while you’re building your fleet. You can make a lot of progress in the latter department without spending money for about the first 100 missions give or take, but after that, if you want to keep moving forward, you will have to spend some money, which is ok. However, I’m on mission 164 now and I see no light at the end of the tunnel. Even if I wanted to pay more than 5-20 dollars, which I don’t, it wouldn’t benefit me enough to win. It’s just too tough and there aren’t enough side quests or multiplayer battles to help you build up. Great game but needs some help.I love the game and recently downloaded it to this device but I’ve been playing for a few years now. I just have a few problems with the game. First off is that every plane and tank get super strong to the point where I have to use my power to kill a small plane where as before I literally just one shot them. Anther problem is so many people buy in this game which makes tournaments impossible. Since I am early game still cause I recently downloaded it to this device, I am only on my first tournament. Giving money to a free to play gameI’ll be honest and say micro transactions seem to be what this game is already about. Everything and anything you think doesn’t involve money your wrong. This game was rather addictive at the beginning not to challenging to get used to and you possibly won a few weekly tournaments at the beginning but do not be deceived that changes far to quickly when you draw near the levels of 90+, and you can visibly see your poverty when you see others fully stacked and maxed out with the best of the best. The game has tons of issues it can’t support it’s own multiplayer and if you do manage to male it load it’s very likely going to crash. FUN BUT BUGGYIt was fun at first but as another player below said and I’m definitely experiencing now, at later levels the app starts to just shutdown on you especially now that I’ve got a third airplane. Updated review of the recent overhaulAfter changing and updating most of my devices and planes, the game is fun again. If you try to hold onto your previous stuff, good luck making it through any levels, also since my favorite devices were deleted after the update, I had to try out new ones, which I actually found I liked better once I got the hang of it. Fun, but not much longevity.For fans of shoot-em-up games like this, I’d recommend this game in a heartbeat, but unless you want to spend a lot of money, be ready for lots of grinding and ad-watching to make any progress. The bigger problem is the difficulty spike. Around the 80’s, the levels get very difficult. At the 90’s, you basically can’t win- you die in one or two hits. The screen is filled with bullets, and in spite of your damage stats, even the smallest enemies- which come in waves- each take several seconds to kill. Plus using your finger to move the plane obscures the screen, making dodging harder. Lastly, buying new planes is underwhelming. Remember when…Remember when you saved up money to buy a new Atari 2600 cartridge? I remember buying stampede back in the 80s for about $20, it took me about a month to save up for that video game. Awesome shooter gameThis game has cool graphics. Rounds play fast, so you can play one in just a few minutes. There’s good gamification to earn rewards and prizes. This allows one to gain experience and move up the ranks. Developers have fun and interject special holiday prizes. The Most Rigged Game EverBegging the game you get a decent advantage against enemies and of course the difficulty rises. You end up reaching a point maybe at like level 25 to where you have to farm hours to get upgrades or pay real money for some trash rewards or garbage loot crate like slot machine that also gives you bare minimum rewards for money well spent. I wasted about $70 real money on this game to find out that once you start progressing and you pay for all these upgrades SURPRISE! There’s another update. Then you start to notice that after every update the levels you have already demolished seem to get more difficult than they had before the update. You can of course see your stats and what type of damage you do prior but there’s also that you aren’t for certain the hp of the enemy so either one of these things are for certain throttled. Why not do your loyal paying customers a solid and quit screwing them over after they complimented a you developed??? Then there’s the social media blockage of information flow like the developers know they are screwing people and don’t want people to communicate. The hard levels might have needed a few tries but eventually would figure out how to win. I carry 4 planes with wingmen and special feature. They all could hold there own in any level. I had enough to get a top level plane, so I broke down and got one. Then everything changed. All of the sudden my planes could NOT DO ANY DAMAGE at all. They obviously have it programmed to adjust based on what you buy. I believe they do it assuming that Because I bought something once, I’m more likely to buy again if I need to. So make the game harder to force me to spend money or just give up on the game as a whole. It’s as though they keep you playing and winning until you spend money. Once that happens they don’t care if the game is fun, they see me as an ATM for them. Basically get your money and then kick you out. Too much monetization and bad UIThere is what probably started out as a good shooting game hiding under vast layers of monetization infrastructure. I would love to just play the actual game, the part where you’re piloting a plane and shooting at waves of things which are hard-but-not-impossible to kill until your lives run out and you have to start over. To play THAT game I would be okay with either watching ads OR paying some money (say, $5?) to permanently turn off ads but what I don’t want to do is be constantly forced to play a horrible meta-game of deciding what features to temporarily “upgrade” to keep playing and/or remaining competitive. The interface for picking how to upgrade stuff and picking missions to play is too complex and arcane and just generally an annoying distraction from the ACTUAL GAME. Also, it can be hard to tell apart some of the coins/bonuses you’re supposed to collect from some of the bullets that are trying to kill you. (I am red-green colorblind so there might be color cues I’m missing). In short, this feels *tantalizingly close* to being a fun game but is not actually on-net a fun game; I played a few levels and deleted it. I have gone to the end of a boss fight for the game to bug. I have watched faulty lightning end my multiple player run. I have died for no apparent reason in the middle of combat. Don’t waste your time!!! Read me.Developers turned it into a grind fest. Ok so I’ve played this game for a couple months now and when I started it was fun. But with this most recent update, the developer have ruined their own game in the name of monetizing it. This was always pay to win but if you didn’t want to pay you could still win sometimes by putting in work and playing smart, but they severely needed that aspect to the point that the only way to win is by buying the premium planes. Let me do a little math for you. In previous events, you could play certain levels and finish them in roughly 5 minutes. You would get roughly 150 medals. The premium reward for that event cost 50k medals. That’s playing 3 hours a day for 9 days and you would be a couple thousand short for the max reward...Now the pay out for those same levels is 80 medals for 5 minutes. You’d roughly have to play 5.75 hours a day to get the same rewards. Don’t bother. It’s a waste of time to play now. I like rubbing numbers to see how things changed. Even when they had it at 3 hours of play I knew I was never gonna get those rewards but hell I can use the other rewards I get but now I’m not even gonna get half the rewards I need to level up my planes. What happened?First off, I really liked this game. I was making good progress and liked the planes, power ups, etc. Then my progress really started to slow down and had to use power ups if I wanted to have a chance to beat boss levels. I liked the game enough that I spent hours each day collecting medals, money, etc. to become stronger. It worked and even though progress was slow I was getting somewhere. I noticed a few days ago, and all of the sudden, that the life of enemy planes tripled or quadrupled. For example, on a boss level that I couldn’t pass, I could at least make it to the boss; now I can’t even get to it since the enemy planes became unbearably strong. Even with full power up’s loaded on my planes I can’t get close. Please turn this off and change it back to how it was a few days ago. I could spend hundreds of hours more on this game and go nowhere with how hard you made it now. Thieves & CheatersOne of the developers logged into my game account while I was asleep and spent most of my gems on things I cannot use. I have reported this fraudulent activity to Apple in hopes that enough reports will result in this app being removed… and that’s not the only fraud I have encountered in this game. There are also many cheaters who use hacked copies to become nearly invincible or to generate unlimited coins/gems and event items. These cheaters are not banned even after much evidence has been collected and submitted to the developers of the game, including screenshots of conversations with the cheaters in which they confessed exactly what they are doing. There’s even an entire division dedicated to developing hacked copies of the game which has been active for many months. There are also a tremendous amount of bugs, display errors, and glitches. I have tried my best to document every flaw so that they can be fixed, and while some have been fixed thanks solely to my work, many bugs still persist. Forces you to spend LOTS of money to progressObviously the game gets harder as you rise through the levels, that’s fine as it’s expected. What’s not ok is that you get to a point where you can literally not progress any further unless your willing to spend real money to upgrade your stuff. And the prices for items are SUPER high. But the next problem is that the more you upgrade, the more HP the same enemies need to die. So levels you were able to zip through, are now much harder AFTER you spend money and upgrade your equipment. This game is clearly designed to forced you to spend AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. Even the events are impossible to win any of the decent prizes unless you spend money on the events themselves to buy the gear that you want “win”. They also force as much extras as they can on you for watching ads. You have to close out about 4 pop ups every few minutes asking you to watch ads. No one will care, but…I never write reviews, but I had to on this game. I’m not sure how it has so many good reviews but I ran into several problems with this game that the devs I’m sure will never even care about or even read this review. I got so far in this game only to run into the error of “to perform this event you must connect to internet.” I checked my Wi-Fi, other apps, overall connection on phone, and even bought a VPN and nothing worked. Looked up the issue online and several people seemed to have run into this same problem. So because of that, the game is very limited as it just won’t connect for some reason. Play it at your own risk!I have two separate 1945 Air Force accounts, one on my iPad and the other one on my Samsung tablet. The app claims that “Save your progress and resume playing on other DEVICES.” The app deceptively causes players to believe that the game can be played on multiple devices. That Is Not True. I tried to transfer my game from my iPhone to iPad. It did not work on the app. I had to contact 1945 Air Force customer service had to transfer the game. A few months later, I upgraded my Samsung tablet. I received the instructions from 1945 Air Force and tried to transfer the game. It did not work. When I contacted a service representative, I was told since the game is working normally on my old tablet, 1945 Air Force can’t help. Great game but cash grabSuch a fun game which is why this continual cash grab by developers is so frustrating. I understand that these are all for profit but how much is enough? Constant state of upgrades needed.Here is the deal with this game. Although it is repetitive in some regard, there are more problem issues in my opinion. First, unless you are willing to spend loads of money to advance, you spend hours trying to get past levels with an under powered and under armored plane. It seems to me it often takes more than one or two upgrade to be able to overcome the level. Despite what the power numbers show, Each upgrade actually does very little for the plane’s power. Furthermore, upgrades become harder to achieve as the upgrades continue. For example, tier one star plane needs - don’t quote me - something like 400 modules to upgrade followed by a small chunk of coin. By tier 2 top star (I think 10) you need something like 2000 modules and a big chunk of coin. Second, the head to head mode seems predetermined or somewhat stacked for you or against you. I am just not sure you are playing the same screen as your opponent. The good news, I guess, is you likely hang around 50% win loss record and will always get a decent trunk reward. Third, earning a plane certificate seems to be based on luck. Lastly, there are a few modes, such as the stealth side game that is just straight up a bore. Although there are some other issue, the bottom line is this. No pay = short lived fun. Was fun at firstI’m not sure if it’s a new update or what; lately playing player vs player the game has been showing me as defeated when my plane still has “fuel” and I have at least 1 or 2 other planes left to rotate through. Very frustratingI gave it 2 stars because the gameplay is incredibly fun. That’s about where it ends. You will have to spend money at some point. AlrightThis game is really cool the idea is there and it functions correctly but...you can’t get new planes without shelling out an arm and a leg or grinding for days on end. You have to get their diamonds to get planes but you only get 1-5 diamonds every level (if you’re lucky) and it costs about 500 diamonds to get the first plane. Embarrassing MonetizationThis game had potential, with great nostalgia and entertaining play. However, every square inch of the game requires huge outlays of cash at every possible turn. $100 for a box of gems, a paid gambling wheel for components, $50 for an aircraft, a paid VIP system that “improves” your stats just 1%. Level 12 VIP to unlock an equipment box? No thanks. The multiplayer has become a bad joke. I’m constantly up against players with more aircraft and ones that are infinitely better than mine. Suddenly I find their damage scores increasing well above mine, yet I have destroyed everything in my path including missiles. Zero chance of winning. Many interesting aircraft and wingmen are unavailable until unlocked at an event (and very difficult to reach without spending a lot of money). I tried a mid-to low bombing mission and can barely damage anything now. I keep upgrading my aircraft and even “certified” one and still can’t move past my current campaign level on Easy. So, one can watch thousands of ads, spend a pile of cash and Merge their aircraft to try to progress. Update made game worseLatest July 4 update reduced the number of awards for watching ads by 30 percent a day. Took away all you secondary attacks and replaced them with lower damage ones. They Said they gave you gems to replace them but you still need to get them from raids and enhance them with coin. I guess too many people weren’t buying enough to make money.
