Ehhh it’s alright I guess, excepted better.So I’m a pretty avid sports gamer. This game is good to just pass time I guess. But I really did expect more from this game. The game is extremely glitchy and has a ton of bugs. Opposing fielders dive and catch the ball stealing for sure hits from you FAR to much. Also it’s like they glide across the infield to the bases. The ball magically ends up in their glove when it should go past them or looks like it will drop. The pitching is actually fun, no complaints there. The hitting is extremely difficult, especially at first. The hitting camera really needs to be adjustable. I had to switch to easy for a bit to try to get used to it. Very hard to tell if a ball that ends up in the dirt will be a strike or not so usually swing through it. A lot of improvements need to be made for a 5 star rating. I’d say the game is only worth around $5 at best. Really wish they would also add a home run derby and career mode. Has a lot of potential but they need to care to make the changes and improvements..Evenly MatchVersion: 1.0.4

Just 3 things to be 5 starsI live this game !!! That’s first off and foremost. It’s late 2020, so I’m not asking to improve on this game but hopefully improve for RBI Baseball 2021. (#1) Stealing bases is almost impossible unless it’s a super slow pitcher. I’m ok with having to guess on which pitch to run on ( change up ), but no matter how fast my player’s speed rating is, it always feels like he gets throttled down as he gets closer to the bag. That’s a terrible glitch that needs to be fixed. (#2) On the other side, it’s hard to catch runners stealing. Pickoffs are quite easy and I think those are spot on, but to throw out runners as a catcher, it’s too hard. Even if u have JT Realmuto. The base buttons are too small and I can’t ever press them to make the throw. Perhaps increase the size . (#3) Last but not least..... add commentary. I don’t expect for it to be as extensive as MLB the Show, but definitely some basic stuff like lineup and match up introductions. Transitions between innings, home runs, doubles, triples, and so forth. Perhaps an outro when the game is done. A mention of the current standings . RBI 20Massive improvement, I’m addicted but the game is glitchy. Using on iPhone 10; have played 35 games. Three times the game crashed after my team hits a home run and then when I bring the game back up to continue, the batter that hit the home run is back up with a new count and no home run. Also, when building power for swing, batter swings without me lifting my thumb, sometimes he swings just as I touch and hold to build power. If the batter swings before the pitch is thrown, it’s always counted as a swinging strike. On defense, the pitcher’s aim circle has wildly jumped on its own (not the bouncy move for a low confidence pitch) to where the aim is a hit batter, behind the hitter or way outside. On occasion pitcher never got a choice of what pitch to throw. On three occasions, home runs in straight away left and right fields were ruled foul balls. C’mon man!.DanoCubFanoVersion: 1.0.3

Nope never buying or even downloading another RBI gameIf I could give this game subzero stars I would. Screen ALWAYS blacks out for several minutes during the game and sometimes even in the middle of a pitch. And sometimes it even freezes while it’s loading up. And sometimes it freezes even AFTER the screen reappears. I know it’s not my phone giving me problems because this is a brand new iPhone I’m using and STILL having problems with this game. How is it possible to hit a 100 mph fastball aimed at the very top of the umpire’s head BEFORE he even crouches down for the pitch?? And how does the batter manage to hit it 475 feet??? Apparently someone figured out how to do it because the CPU always does it. And I can’t hit the ball to the opposite field even after swiping the stick in that direction either. Don’t waste your money on this piece of garbage. Even though they permanently reduced the price for this game it is STILL a rip-off. Houston, you have some problems. Good but could be betterThis game is good but it could be so much better. This game has just a few main issues for me. I feel like the game needs to be more realistic, not in terms of graphics but in terms of it actually playing like the real life game. For example a shortstop should not be able to cover 10 yards of room to stop a base hit up the middle with 100 exit velo. Other examples I could give would be more realistic animations like the shortstop has his momentum going away from first base and is able to casually throw the ball 90 feet using no arm movement. Another thing would be how the game is so laggy for an offline game. In my opinion there is no excuse for an offline game to be this laggy. Speaking of offline maybe sometime you guys should make and online game mode on mobile but considering how far away you are from perfecting offline servers I would say just wait a few years first. Mediocre gameplayThe game has a great batting experience. And the pitching is not bad albeit easy. But the rest of the game is meh. Very repetitive hits...lots of pop ups, fielding is boring and the player animations are the same as you’d find on a game from ten years ago. Doesn’t show runners leading off. Doesn’t have pitchout to catch a stealing runner. Has a weird “rule” where you can’t change a pitcher sometimes who hasn’t faced “enough batters.” There are mistakes in baseball strategy that are so frustrating...runners should advance when a ball is hit to the first base side, and they should advance when the third baseman throws to first. Also there’s no list of trades. But most of all the game lacks the “data” of baseball that you would expect. Heat zones for batters, player stats, opposing player insights, etc. and most frustrating of all is player control during the play, most of all runners in motion. Great Baseball Game for MobileLove playing this game in my downtime. Simple controls and quick gameplay. My only issues are that there are an insane amount of diving catches. I love a great diving catch but I’ve had hits where it looks like an easy single taken away. Even players in the infield will dive forward to make the catch. Maybe have some diving plays missed or kicked off the glove. Definitely frustrating when you square one up and it’s caught almost every time on the infield. Secondly sometimes I hit a ball on the infield with 2 outs and instead of my other running staying out he runs right into the person with the ball. Not exactly how base running should be. Mobile Greatness...not a console here.GOOD: • Improved graphics • Price Tag • Improved player likeness (looks, hair, stances etc.) • Soundtrack • New Modern pitching & batting • New “up to date” camera angles • Beautiful Stadiums • OK animations BAD: • Animations: - Any ball in the vicinity of the defender is stopped despite in reality should be a base hit. - Morphing ball into the glove is still a huge problem - Animations aren’t always fluid and still players catching balls in weird ways and angles • Lack modes (but it is $6.99 so for $23 less than console version cuts had to be made obviously, not too much complaining here) • Glitching here and there Overall Verdict: It’s improved over ‘19 and definitely ‘18 but some of the same issues are still there unfortunately, especially with animations. From a mobile standpoint as far as authenticity, graphics, good enough gameplay, and other small details it’s the best mobile baseball game on the App Store. Very good Mobile Baseball Game w/ only one IssueI really enjoy this game on the iPhone and my iPad. It’s fun and fair. Most of the controls are pretty intuitive. The graphics are much improved and work well on a mobile device (I prefer the iPad but the iPhone works good as well). However I do have issue with the Modern Batting. While I like the ability to hit grounders and fly balls as well as pull the ball to the field I wish, the power feature is very difficult and sometimes frustrating to use. I wish they would make an adjustment to it, maybe you could lock in your power with the first press before the pitch and then press again to swing. It’s a nice idea the way it is but it’s way too touchy to execute in real time effectively. If they were to fix the batting it would be a 5 Star in my mind..Puppies32Version: 1.0.2

Better than before could be the best baseball app if....This is my first review til some updates (if any) are implemented. First the fielding animation where the ball disappears for a split second and rubber bands into the player glove. Hey! we’re in the age where we have the very best programmers! Cmon I know you can do better. Second.. the modern batting is a bit interesting to me. I see what you’re trying to do, it seem backwards to me. I do like how you can pull the ball etc. On a bright note.. the graphics are a major improvement and looks good though the after home run plate animation for every player who does the same celebration gets old real quick. I give it a 3 1/2 stars. The pitching menu and actions are great. I up my stars if the developers continue to update the game. RBI 20 Improvements that would make 21 even betterThe game is amazing, I like how there actual pitch selection now and the graphics are good. For next years game, I have suggestions, 1. When you trade players to cpu teams, that team should be able to move their lineups around and be able to use that player instead of them staying in the reserves. 2. Make the cpu able to pick up free agents and ask for trades like MLB The Show, where the cpu gets free agents and makes trades. 3. Update more players face scans and equipment. 4. Would like to have it be a little more realisticOverall I love the game. There isn't much of a middle ground with hard and easy. I wish it was more competitive but I can deal with that. Always look forward to this game. I like that the hitting is realistic in the sense that basis going down the line slice like a real ball would. I don't like that when a ball is got off the wall, there's usually a close play at second base but at the same time a ground ball hit to am infielder can result in the runner from first beating the throw to second on a force play. I would love to see bad throws to first or on catcher throws to the bases. Would like less ground rule doubles. Would like to see more defensive options such as shifts. Would like the computer bunt in bunt situations or intentional walks. Love the game, Bug won’t let me finish seasonGreat game, great new controls. However, I’m playing franchise mode and this has happened on two occasions where more than halfway through the first season, I’ll finish a game and it will get stuck on the loading screen with the MLB logo after I closed out of the post game box score. It doesn’t move from this screen without me having to close the app. After closing the app, I get the option to continue the game but when I do it takes me to the end of the game but against the next opponent on my schedule and freezes at the post game loading screen again. Can’t find pitching stats?!Going to look up pitching stats for league leaders, and you don’t see ERA or WHIP. You see the same stats as the fielders but for pitchers?! Why would I want to see this?? How can you not see the pitching stats displayed for league leads? You can see them fine for team stats.. super bummer like half the game is literally pitching and you can’t track stats against the league because a glitch seems to occur??.. fix it!! And how the heck do you let that slip?? It’s clearly right in team stats, but in league leaders it just toggles batting stats for the pitchers and not pitching stats?? Game crashes periodically after hitting a home run in a game.Overall the game is great. The only issue that I have had is that at least 5 times, the game has crashed after hitting a home run. Upon restarting the game, the home run was not saved and starts with the same batter that just hit the home run. The continue button doesn’t work after winning a playoff game, forcing the user to either quit the game or simulate the game after the game has already ended. When simulating a game that has already ended due to continue button not working, team that actually won the game before the simulation will lose the game. Good but a few ANNOYING glitches...I’m a franchise fanatic and I love the whole rebuilding a team concept but I’ve noticed as I’ve been playing there’s a couple issues I’ve encountered. One issue is there’s a glitch that sometimes occurs when you trade for a player or sign a free agent where a position in the line up will duplicate and a player will be out of position. Example: I traded for Kris Bryant (a third basemen) I have Jorge Alfaro (a catcher) for some reason Jorge Alfaro’s position Catcher duplicated and I have no choice but to put Bryant at catcher. I’ve also bumped into a glitch when simulating. Usually I simulate the season one month at a time and when I get to the month August I start having issues where the game will freeze or it just won’t simulate when I press the button. I’ve had the game for one day and it’s okay as these are the only issues I’ve really encountered. The gameplay is great however I think there are too many diving catches and crazy defensive plays. It should be toned down a bit but other than that I recommend this game to pass the time..DuidjdjdjfjfVersion: 1.0.5

Minor bugs to fix... great gameI love the game, a lot of fun especially with baseball season on hold at the moment. Finally getting my fix in, but there are some minor bugs that need to be fixed please. 1) during franchise mode all the other teams are literally double the games played, even if some of the CPU’s play a few games ahead because of scheduling they shouldn’t be a few two weeks ahead. 2) Power batting is very cool but it seems there’s only two options. Fun but too easyThis game is a lot of fun, but in my opinion the learning curve is way too easy and I find myself winning by the mercy rule in franchise mode too much. I am hitting home runs at an unrealistic rate too. It’s tough to make contact, but when you do, it is almost always a double or homerun (or warning track fly out). Game Keeps CrashingI am a big fan of this game. The advanced pitching options in this version is a great addition. I am in the bottom of the 9th in a franchise game and it keeps crashing. PitchingThe game actually looks good plays smooth but once again it really doesn’t matter what you pitch the ai going to hit what three going to hit. I tried pitching around the corners high and low ai very seldom swings at balls. Strike zone is way to generous anyway while your pitching and batting. Pretty fun, with a few problemsI’ve enjoyed this game a bunch! The easy and medium play settings are pretty good, but it’s very hard to get a hit on the hard setting. In any setting, it’s almost impossible to hit opposite field. And the timing on stolen bases makes it very hard to steal a base, or throw someone out. I’ve seen opponents steal second AND third, which shouldn’t be that easy if you’re throwing high heat to a catcher with a decent arm. Overall, very fun. Great Defense Play, Impossible to HitI have fun playing defense, but even on the easiest mode I have yet to hit anything but a foul ball. Too early, too late, too early, I never have timing problems with sports games, but this one, it’s 9 swings and back to the field. Baserunning and screen brightnessI’m the Rays playing in Fenway. Zunino is on first and Arozarena is batting. He hits a ball into the left field corner. Zunino who isn’t too fast is somehow thrown out at third and after they throw to third Arozarena who is very fast is thrown out by 15 feet at second base. Huge step-up, drains battery QUICKI’ve played this game for a couple hours now and can say that about after an hour my battery was down to 10% (speaking about the iPhone 11 Pro Max with max battery efficiency). I do have to say that the gameplay is way better and crisper than the previous versions in multiple different ways. Almost thereNo doubt they improve this every year. The new hitting mechanic is excellent. I like how holding the button is basically like your “stride” and effects power. Much better than previous versions where I basically felt like I was chopping wood. The pitching is monumentally better. I haven’t played long enough to say everything as advertised but the philosophy and implementation of fatigue and confidence is nice. One of my complaints in MLB the Show is how it’s almost impossible to walk a batter. This, in theory is a nice approach. I haven’t encountered any major glitches or oddities yet. Latest update adds more fun glitchesUpdate: as well as below, the game awarded first base to a batter who had a lazy fly ball caught for an out, wont send runners on force plays (i had two runners standing on second base on a double), and the AI suddenly decides to use errors against your team if you are beating ‘superior’ opposition. Plus the mercy rule can no longer be turned off, so no laughers. Come on guys! A couple of new and exciting oddities since last update: Balls mysteriously disappear from pitchers hand on delivery of pitch and nothing ever happens again until you hard close the app. Computer baserunners on second either forget to run on base hits to the outfield or run through third base and get caught in never ending rundowns between third and home. On the first hit by the computer batter in the game, you get a flash frame of the crowd behind home plate but greatly magnified - you can almost see the Tommy Hilfiger logo on their polo shirts. And there is the ongoing issue of the AI not choosing sensible rosters or lineups. Why would any team continue to have guys hitting under .150 at the top of their batting order into August? ONLY 10 seasonsWhy can we only play 10 season. Why not just keep play forever. Where is the draft, you make what look like new players in FA so why can’t you do a draft without scouting even just see there skill and draft the players or if you can there can be scouting. FREE AGENCY!!! I get that there no salary cap but could you make a formula for team record and playoff spot and team popularity and make a salary for each team the have contracts for each player. Home run derby would be great, during franchise mode the all stars should change year by year by how each play does. One last thing, can we have even just make your players and put him on a team but I’d love a career mode where you can start from high school or college and only play as your player and get drafted then make your way up in the minors the go to the MLB and can we make an expansion teams and make your jerseys, stadium, city etc. I really hope you read this review and everyone else’s and work on it in rbi 21. There are some more complaints, so I heard an advertisement for rbi 20 on ESPN radio and it said there was a home run derby and I looked today and there was no home run derby, so please update that ad. Great concept, unbelievably glitchyFor starters, the graphics are pretty top notch for a mobile platform. The concept is fantastic, and is fun to play. Unfortunately, the problems with this game are exponential. I literally downloaded this game two hours ago. Playing a single 9 inning game will burn through 30% of your battery. I’m going to play with the settings, to see if there is a fix for that. Sporadically, scoring is wrong; for example, I was playing a game, and suddenly the opposition had a run, when there was no score. Other issues I’ve experienced (again, within the past two hours) are having an outfielder catch the ball, the game calling the batter out, and the runner continuing to the next base, no tag-up, and actually got to third base from first. On half-a-dozen occasions, while mid play, the screen goes dark. Nothing happens, regardless of where you touch the screen, and you have to restart the app to go back to where you started. If the glitches are fixed, this game would be worth the $3.99 and way more. As of now, it’s not worth paying anything for, until they work out the glitches..NothingfinalVersion: 1.0.5

Would be 5 stars but screen goes blackThis game is incredible ... that is until the screen just goes black about three to ten times per nine inning game. In order to get it back, you have to close the game/app and pick up wherever the last auto-save took place. I’ve hit a homerun or two that got erased and struck out because the pitch was about to be delivered and I suddenly couldn’t see the screen. The other bug is when you got to swing (holding down for power) and it just does a quick swing without you letting go and so you swing way too early and can’t recover in time to swing again. Still counts as a swing and miss, though ... fix those two things and this is a five star game for sure. If I had my unnecessary wants fulfilled, I would also allow owners in season/franchise mode to adjust players’ jersey numbers so that when I trade to bring Machado back to Baltimore, he isn’t forced to wear #62, but I can change it back to his rightful #13. Changing My Review Since I Got NO ResponseOverall, this game looks sleek and is very fun to play at any level. I really like the updated rosters we get throughout the season even if some people are still missing. Here is my biggest gripe. After the IOS went to 14, the game could not keep up. Not sure how many users had the same issue but kept losing my franchise after three to four seasons. You read that correctly, after those few season, the game stops working as you cannot SIM a game to proceed. Also, you can play that game but it’s the last one you get to play for that franchise. Not sure what happened to the game with the new IOS but it seems like the developers aren’t going to fix the error or are even trying since the real baseball season is about to be over. Anyway, that’s my two cents on this and hope that RBI ‘21 will have a better run than this one did..Great181Version: 1.0.5

Batting position cannot be moved on iPad 4UPDATE, MAY 1: The developer (thanks for getting back to me) tells me that the issue is not with my iPad. Apparently, the “Modern” mode is set up so that NO ONE is able to move a batter around in the batter’s box, and the batter will automatically move based on the pitch location and swing timing. The absence of this feature is still a significant design flaw in the program. I’ve raised my rating to 2-stars and will re-evaluate if and when subsequent updates to the program include the feature. ________________________ There is a serious bug with the program if you are playing on an iPad 4, namely that, when you are batting in the “Modern” mode, you CANNOT move the batter’s position in the batter’s box. So, batting performance suffers in addition to the quality of play. THE DEVELOPERS NEED TO ADDRESS THIS IMMEDIATELY. IN THE MEANTIME, IPAD ISERS SHOULD AVOID THE GAME. Pinch Hitter can’t be defensive replacement and there are no Double Switches!When you pinch hit for the pitcher in National League games without a Designated Hitter, you can’t “swap position” to replace someone playing a defensive position. You can only replace with a pitcher in the bullpen. This means any pinch hitter cannot be a defensive replacement when you go back on defense. Similarly, I can’t find a way to double-switch, so in National League games without a Designated Hitter, if you want to replace the current pitcher in the middle of the defensive half of the inning, he will always bat in the part of the lineup as the original lineup set. It is critical in NL games to allow for double switches and swapping positions with whoever is the pitcher at the time so you can make sure your relief pitcher is close to the end of the current batting rotation. Save Your MoneyJust save your money and play one of the free baseball games instead. There are some things this game does well (graphics, fielding, etc.). However, they absolutely FAILED on the part of it that they needed to get right, namely the pitcher/batter interaction. When you’re batting it’s a complete guess as to if you hit the ball. It looks like there are frames missing when the hall meets the bat. You’ll have no sense of where the ball is going to go because you’ll have no sense of when you hit it (or not). As a result the timing of your swing, let alone trying to direct the ball to one part of the field or another is complete guesswork. If you want an exercise in frustration, buy this game. Not fairHere’s the thing. The game is fun but it’s literally unplayable half the time. Every few days the franchise mode will just stop and you can’t play it anymore. You can’t sim past the days the game will freeze and it will be unplayable. If you play the game in franchise mode u can play into the ninth inning but then you can’t get passed the loading screen. You have to delete the game and restart it every time which deletes ALL of your data. And you can’t go online to email them because they don’t even have rbi baseball 20 at the help desk. There’s some improvementThere some improvements from previous years but there still a lot of problems with the game. The modern hitting mode is kinda hard to get down. There should be to options for hitting, one for contact/ normal and one for power. Another problem is with the base running. I’ve had so many hits were it bounce off the center field wall and still get thrown out at second base. Two other problems are with the defense. The pitchers can never go past 5 innings and players will glitch and make cuts in unnatural ways plus the outfielders can barely make throws without the ball bouncing once or twice..Renegade 44Version: 1.0.4

Cons: -Homerun app crash -After playing Franchise for 1 or 2 seasons the Managers on other teams leave high value players out of lineup for the whole season. -Unrealistic Trades -NO new Pitchers are added to Franchise mode after each Season. -League Stats on Franchise Mode only show up for known players (no league stats available for new players) - Just about the same players make the All-Star Team every new season in Franchise Mode. Newly drafted players added never make the All Star even with better overall Stats I can probably list a few more unrealistic cons to playing this baseball game. So sad to see it’s this glitchyThis is a fun game and I really liked to play it until the bugs and glitches came along. Frequent freezesDisappointed with game performance with iOS (iPhone 11 specifically). In Franchise mode, game freezes randomly and customer service has no answers. I actually had to delete and re-download, losing my season progress. Currently frozen trying to start a season game. Pitchers have limited stamina and other problems-Pitchers can’t make it past the 5th -Runners basically move at the same pace -Clean base hits are called errors if the outfielder misplays it, even if the runner can’t advance. Glitchy to the point of being unplayableBatting is so frustrating, and even if you hit a home run there’s a 50% the game crashes without saving the runs scored.
