Oh my god.That’s my overall reaction to what little of the game I’ve been able to play so far. Simply, “oh my god.” Even with the simple palate they use for the pixel art, and the fairly simple gameplay, I was astounded when I first played. To this day, the farthest I’ve gotten is the first dungeon that the Old Man goes through, though to be fair he might not be that old. I haven’t figured out how to get past that... thing... mainly because it’s so fast I can hardly keep up. The farthest away I’ve gotten from it was the crossbow, then I died. I think I’m meant to get past it not run away, but I have no idea how. Anyway, the developers have done a good job on the game from what I’ve seen of it. If you don’t handle scares well, play at your own peril. At first it’s more suspenseful and eerie than actually scary, but the first scare they did genuinely had me sweating. I tried to get past that thing so many times, but eventually I just couldn’t take it... And I really felt like a horrible person when I got an achievement for letting the cat die. But this game will entertain you quite a bit if you love challenges, especially those of reflexes and puzzle solving skills, so if you feel like you can handle a bit of a scare by all means try it out. By the way, “oh my god” was both me marveling at the quality of the game and changing into a T-shirt that wasn’t soaked in sweat. Amazing.Going into this game, it looked like a fun little story game with fun little pixel characters and tons of fighting and jumping and running. No sir. Its been a long time since i’ve seen something that hit me on an emotional level this hard. When you boot up the game it tells you something like “it involves themes and tragic death and players are advised blah blah blah” you kind of ignore it until you finish the game. Because oh my god. It was heartbreaking, so so heartbreaking. For a game in which you play 3 different main characters, they do a phenomenal job at connecting you deeply to all of them. As soon as i played this game for about 15 minutes, I was hooked and finished it next day. I promise once you play you’ll get very attached to each person’s story, and it’ll keep you playing until you’re all done with the game. The overall story by the way is just really cool in general. Speaking visually, the colors are beautiful. I loved the art style they chose, and was honestly blown away with the amount of detail and work put into every single scene. Also, I usually hate games that have a lot of talking in them, but you don’t mind it in this one cause uh, it’s actually interesting. Amazing!!!!!This game is amazing. You definitely took your time on it! All of the other pixel art games I found NOT in Apple Arcade, SUCKED. Eventually I just gave up looking and came into Apple Arcade. And then I found this! I am amazed! This game gives you the feel that you are actually in a movie! When I’m in the knight scenes, I feel like the mandolorian! In other words a bounty hunter. This game gives you a really cool storyline, and has cool parts were you have weird flashbacks, like when you enter a box, and it transforms into a literal HOUSE, and now your an old man listening to more of the games story! Even the creatures are cool! Most games with monsters and stuff like that aren’t creative, just a square dinosaur with horns. Yours are so much more… TERRIFYING! but, a monster should be you know? You did a really good job at mixing puzzle into these scenes. Sometimes I spend 30 minutes trying to figure out something(only to realize I had to pick up a pole and put it under a ledge so I could jump off it)! And the way the puzzles are, you can come up with an idea to do something to finish the puzzle in no time! I could go on for a long time about how your game is amazing. Worth Playing and Give it a shot!So I just finished this game. I played for about three days the first day for about 5 maybe 6 hours and the second day for maybe another 5 and about an hour the third. Overall it is relatively short in comparison but the length isn’t really a driving factor or issue if you enjoy it. I’ve read most of the reviews for this game. Those who gave it a low rating. Had valid reasons on why they didn’t like it. But to each their own. But it’s a solid story especially if you do everything and look at the achievements first it will help guide you to understand what your looking for. The gameplay had a learning curve but only in the aspect of remembering the limitations of each character. It’s difficultly is moderate. But enjoyable, and the story has a solid backbone and keeps you wanting to know more about this world. I’d recommend everyone to give it your own shot and opinion. And don’t base it on any of the reviews. Never judge a book by its cover. I hope that you all enjoy this game in your own way. And the developers hats off to you for this and the meaning behind it. Worth Your Time But Not PerfectFirstly, I did not play this game with a Bluetooth controller, which is recommended. The screen controls, at times, were frustrating, especially when jumping (or not wanting to), but they were also more than adequate to still enjoy this little gem. Dying also doesn’t come with any cost as you are simply respawned close to where you just died with most things left as you had interacted with them pre-death, so accidentally jumping off the ladder you are trying to climb is a minor annoyance. I finished the game in two 3-4-hour sittings. I enjoyed the environments and felt somewhat rewarded by taking time to explore, and I found the story and characters intriguing. I honestly wish they had been a little more fleshed out. SPOILERS (although not specific plotlines)*** I have to admit being a little disappointed with the last 20 mins of the game, which is essentially a long drawn out cutscene to explain the story, since none of it is actually fleshed out through the gameplay. It was frustrating that I could only watch and not interact. Because of this, I felt very disconnected from the characters when I should have felt a deeper empathy after learning what they had went through. Wow.. if you like r/nosleep and lazy masquerade...I remember only having left the first room and still already feeling legitimately on edge .. I don’t recommend playing this eerie game at night 🌚 or when alone in the house.. definitely don’t play if you’re both alone in the house and it’s late at night. If you’re like me though and you’re really craving a scare or ten (I know I frequently do) and are up for a challenge regardless of if alone/what the hour is, then start up this game with your cat 🐈 or dog 🐕 or both 🐶 🐱 in close proximity for some level of comfort. Shut the blinds as well, light a candle 🕯 or dim your night light 💡 and put some earphones on so you you can really feel the levels of immersion, fantastic music and creepy sounds this game has to offer.. but more importantly, wear the earphones so you won’t hear things go bump in the night out in your garage 🦶🏻 or outside your window 👂🏻 or on the roof 🦵🏻 ... enjoy, and let the game tell you a whimsical story of traumatic loss, hope, survival and the foes and other forces that patiently await us all at the gates to the abyss..-Carlin-Version: 1.01

Ambitious attempts and what a masterpieceI love this type of game. Strong story with carefully designed puzzles can easily draw me into the world. And yet this game has bigger ambitions. Normally this type of game will focus on one character, but INMOST has multiple characters, and they’re living in different time. This setup immediately makes the story has deeper depth and generates more curiosity. The puzzles are also well designed, without any hint, you need to observe your surroundings and find out the connections between objects. Another feature I like a lot is the hidden treasures, it requires even more attentions to the environment to figure out the potential spots which contain treasures. The on boarding experience is a bit rough. I took me a while to figure out what shall I do and how to do it. But the benefit of this rough boarding experience will get you well-prepared for the later challenges, because your brain is in “thinking” mode instead of “following” mode. Amazing story!!Okay so I don’t really play a lot of games maybe like one two other games and then the rest are just for my step sisters. I saw the ad for this on one of said two games I play and got interested. Not much interests me anymore mainly in games, so when I am I make time to play and see it threw. Within the first 3 minutes of me trying and testing INMOST out I fell in love with not only the story but the graphics and controls of the game. Every part of this game is amazing fun and interesting. I will admit I had a few heart attacks but in a good exiting way and at the end of it I cried at how from the start to the end of the game the plot grew so much and into such a beautiful story. I won’t give anything away so others can find that joy and excitement with the game themselves. I’ve told so many people to play this game cause I truly believe this is a game that is worth it and amazing. I’d definitely play this game again to relive the experience. The Heartbreaking Game I’ve Been Looking ForThis game was….. I can’t describe it adequately. I just finished it and tears are streaming down my face. They have been for over an hour. I…. I’ve never played a game quite like this. The gameplay is amazing in and of itself, but the story and music….. (not to mention Cassandra’s voiceacting. I know her mainly as Sothis, and that previous experience with her voice actually makes this game hit harder) they coalesce perfectly. It was sad, yes, but….. it was sad in a way they I can understand. The feelings were relatable, and I understood everything that was going on. This game has completely readjusted my perspective on what a story about the pain of love should be. “He was never a knight, you know.” “I was wrong. It was never a story about pain…. The Best GameThis was the best game I have ever played and is definitely the best Apple Arcade game ever made. I would recommend a controller, because most don’t prefer touch controls. I have not experienced any bugs in the game, and wouldn’t recommend changing the game around and to leave it how it is. I am 11 years old, but this game is for all ages. I loved the story this game had. (The dad’s daughter died so he kidnapped another little girl but never told her, and the mom couldn’t get over it and died.) This is a gloomy game full of sad things, so if you are sensitive to that stuff, I wouldn’t play. Also, I love Stardew Valley* too and it reminds me of this game so check that out too. Good job Chucklefish on this game, also on Stardew Valley. This is my favorite game and I’ve played it over 12 times! Absolutely amazing!This game is by far, one of the best games I’ve played. That’s no exaggeration. Inmost is not only a truly fun game, but the storyline behind the game is intense and actually made me quite sad. The voice acting is the best I’ve heard in a game. Kudos to the two voice actors listed in the credits. The sound effects are chilling and the gameplay gave me anxiety and was quite scary. I absolutely LOVED everything about this game. It was rather long in my opinion (another reviewer said it was short?) and took me several hours over several days to complete. Of course, I had to consult a walkthrough a time or two but no biggie. If you are looking for a game that will keep you up playing for hours, yet telling you a heart wrenching story about pain, and eventually love, definitely give this game a try. Excellent game. Highly recommend.For an iPhone game, this is a must have if you have Apple Arcade. The game is split into three interconnecting parts. Every level is one of those three parts (a section dedicated to one of the three wholly). The dude (nameless). The girl (Elizabeth). The knight (...The Knight). The dude and Elizabeth are primarily a platformer and puzzle respectively. Both have a “figure it out” approach, where you get simple tools and are set sailing, but much more so with the dude with the complexity of the level design. The game knows this and builds its levels accordingly. They’re very intriguing and great to navigate for the creepy feels they have and evoke. The game will make you afraid of going into the unknown and without being overly silly about it. The knight is a sort of fighting platformer, and it is following this tale with you as the subject figure. It’s not particularly complicated, but slashing monsters and following the tale is intriguing. Finally, the plot of the game. It is very sad and meant to be emotional. I will not spoil anything, but it is what keeps you going through all the levels...to figure out what’s going on. I wanted to follow Elizabeth wherever she was going more than anything else, and it paid off. Again, it is meant to be a very emotional story...but it’s worth it. What I thinkSo when I first saw the game I was like, ok this is what I’m looking for a, side scrolling platform game. But this game is not like that. It’s more of a movie game. As you play the characters (3) you see that their stories and their pain revolve around each other. This game has the idea that pain rules the world-there is no happiness just pain. And you travel with this character who takes on people’s pain to make them happy. But there’s also a character who steals people’s pain. You see what happens to him at the end. This game is puzzle driven, you have to find how to get past each obstacle thrown at you. But it’s not the game that I want you to focus on when you play. Stunning...To say this game is a horror platformer is an understatement, because this beautiful game is so much more. Rarely have I found myself playing a story-driven game with such felt emotion (sadness... like really sad stuff, humor, fear, compassion, dread, etc.) that went above and beyond its definition of itself. The gameplay is also very enjoyable, and when mixed with the incredible story, becomes a highly desirable experience. I also loved how the game managed to mix three different distinct tones and gameplay styles into it. However, I did find the story at times hard to follow, and although some things were cleared up in the end, I still needed some explanation for some of the storyline and how it connects to what you’re actually playing. Wow what a gameWarning spoilers ahead Inmost is a great play former action game that is story driven. It is doable with touch controls but also offers options for wireless controllers. Inmost’s has a very open world (when playing as the old man). This is an overall great game! Although this game has a great story that gets wrapped up very well it still lacks several qualities that can make this game better. First is that you’ll be left wondering a lot of thing by the end of the story with many unanswered questions. Secondly there are to few levels playing as the knight and it would’ve been nice getting a boss fight with the giant serpent at the end of the game. Finally this games popularity is skewed by only being available from Apple Arcade this game is definitely worth of top charts but unfortunately is held back by Apple Arcade. ExceptionalThis game far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting some sort of dark, mysterious adventure in an 8-bit style, but this is so much more. From the moody, grayscale color scheme to how scenes or moments are enhanced with lighting this game is some type of modern 8-bit perfection. The music, sound effects, and voice acting are equally well done. As for the storyline... it is intense, immersive, and unique. There is a sense of mystery and suspense pulling you through from start to finish. The way you are thrown back and forth between three playable characters, each of whom have unique mobility and actions, as well as inhabiting different environments and timelines, is brilliant. What could have been horribly confusing was done in a remarkable seamless way. It’s a great gameIt’s really good, the story is great, the controls are smooth (and fun fact, it doesn’t say anything in Apple Arcade for some reason, but it is controller supported, I link it to my Xbox one controller every time I play) some people say it’s scary, I won’t judge their opinion even tho I’m not scared, I’m just heavily fascinated. Absolutely riveting!It’s an amazing tale of a father who will do anything to save his family in the crisis of the keeper’s reign. The characters are so developed as a whole, that I managed to take a month to beat it fully! It has great 8 bit graphics and a great dodging system. As the knight I thought I was going to have to Fight a boss battle. However I didn’t have the chance to. I didn’t like that because I would have loved to see that giant snake to be a boss battle. Also I didn’t quite understand something. The knight, the daughter and the father all have backstories to an extent. The father was my favorite character in many ways. But the knight has no backstory. Or does he? The father was the old man and that little girl was the blonde chick at the end right? Hauntingly BeautifulI absolutely loved this game. So much that I’m taking the time to write a review for the first time in my life. I was initially pulled in by the stunning art style that was showcased in the advertising. I didn’t watch any videos or research the game I just dove right in. I’d like to point out that this is also the first game Ive willingly played that had horror elements in it such as this. The story telling was amazing and had me on the edge of my seat trying to theorize what was going on. I had come up with a totally different scenario in my head and was pleasantly surprised to find out I was completely wrong. Dark game with a darker storylineI don’t often write reviews or rate games but this one absolutely deserves all 5 stars. The game is beautiful despite being a retro 8 bit feeling. It’s a gritty, twisted horror mystery that makes you want to keep pushing through to find out what happens next. You play as three different characters as the game progresses and the story unfolds bringing you deeper into the mystery of what’s really going on, and how they are connected to each other. The controls are simple and puzzles are challenging. A painful glitchLovely game! I only have one complaint: if you pause the game for an extended period of time, you continue from the last “save point”. That’s to be expected, but causes an issue at chapter 24. After zip lining to the castle tower you have to solve the puzzle to get the key for the exit door, which is the only way out of the tower. But if you’re continuing the game from this point, and retrieved the key prior to pausing the game, the key does not reappear and you’re trapped in the tower with no way out. After trying to reload every way possible, I had to start over from the beginning and not pause the game (at that chapter) until I reached the “save point” after getting the key. Very frustrating because you also cannot delete your achievements, which I prefer to do when replaying a game. Otherwise, it is a beautifully dark, mysterious, amazing game..BhdfhjnnVersion: 1.01

Really beautifulAbsolutely beautifully done. The art is awesome! Sound is really good too. Music is nice though a bit short and thus repetitive. Narration/voiceovers are very well done, though there are times when they play during action scenes, so the sound effects and/or just concentrating on the gameplay can cause you to miss bits of what's said. Gameplay is very forgiving - dying doesn't really set you back at all, so you can experiment and try things any number of times. Which is nice, because then you can focus more on the art and story. As for the story, it's quite poetic, but also very metaphoric and esoteric. It does all come together pretty nicely at the end though, so don't get discouraged if you don't understand what's going on for much of the game. While I liked the fantasy environments and gameplay (the older man and the knight), I just didn't feel a strong enough connection between them and the actual story. I think having clearer tie-ins to the real story throughout the game would make it easier to understand and more relatable, and you want that because the story is quite profound. But really, if you like adventure games and/or dark themes just play the game and be sure to finish it. It's worth it!.ArtfoundryVersion: 1.09

BEST GAME IN ARCADE!I can’t possibly express how amazing this game is?! I’m an adult, and I was blown away by it! The subject matter is dark, and sad... but it’s the discovery of the story that is truly amazing. The pixel style adds to the overall gameplay in a positive way. You get to enjoy solving puzzles, and I was on the edge of my seat throughout the game- I needed to know what happened to the characters. I think the subject matter may be more advanced for younger players, but I believe it offers an opportunity for those players to talk about this with their parents/ friends. I had started the game a while back, but didn’t get it at first. Im SO glad I played it to the end. One of the BestThis game was perfectly crafted. The graphics were beautiful, the game’s mechanics were amazing, And the story was an incredible tale of broken worlds and melancholy. There is so much more to say but I’m afraid that I’ve almost run out of adjectives. This is not just your regular old pixelated mobile game it is so much more than that. BeautifulFound it after looking for more games by the Stardew valley creator, was not expecting it to be this amazing. I have played through this game twice, a year apart, and both times I have loved it. All the screens have detailed imagery despite the pixel style, and you feel very connected to all the characters. I’m not usually one for creepy or horror games, and the hunters had my heart racing, but I thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I never write reviews but this one…I just had to write a review. It would be selfish of me not to. This is, if not, one of the best indie games I’ve ever played before. I felt the sorrow, the hopefulness, the excitement. Everything the developers wanted to convey, the audience, me, felt. It was perfect. The pixelated feel of the game allowed the story to become more impactful. Honestly, I played this game with an empty expecting nothing much. I left with my jaw wide open, the beautiful storytelling. WOWAt the start of this game I quickly became frustrated with the game play, mainly because I didn’t pay any attention to the short and very minimal tutorial, and almost gave up right away. Once I actually figured out the objective of the game I was totally glued! The storyline is so beautifully heartbreaking and only gets more depressing as the game progresses. Very well thought out and written. Narrators both did a wonderful job with truly capturing the dark emotions and pulling you in deeper. Every chapter end throughout this game I couldn’t help but mutter “Wow” out loud. In a word: beautifulI went into this game not expecting much, I mean it’s a mobile game. I’m not an avid user of video games anyways, I just was looking for a good story. Oh boy. Did I get it. Hits right in the feelsOverall great game. I loved the puzzles and the story hits you like a truck when everything click. I love the look, feel, and overall atmosphere of the game. I could not put it down till I finished it. It is truly amazing and you should check it out. The only reason I give this a 4 rather than a 5 is because of the collectibles. Some are on obvious locations and some are hinted at by diferente markings but most are just randomly placed. At one point I was literally jumping everywhere just to find one and I found a lot that I was missing just by jumping blindly. OutstandingI downloaded the game with no expectations in mind, I simply found the art style attractive. When I finally opened it for the first time, I spent the next 4 and a half hours straight playing through the game IN ITS ENTIRETY without being able to put it down. the story was incredibly immersive, everything was relatively intuitive but challenging enough to keep you involved. If I had another few hours to spare I would play through it again. There were some parts that I got lost watching the story in cutscenes, but any more clarity might’ve ruined the mystery, so I couldn’t complain. Amazing game through and through..Mcdsux2Version: 2.5

Amazing!If you’re looking for a tail of pain and happiness, this is your game. Not only is the pixel art style beautiful but the story of the game touches your heart throughout the gameplay. I personally loved the fact you got to switch between characters and you get the stories behind them in their own way. I loved the message about pain and happiness and though it seems like a lot with all the different views, the way it is set up and portrayed is upright amazing and easy to understand. Check this game out!!This game is so wonderfully made. The pixel art alone made me intrigued to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised by the story writing. Inmost is just one of those gems you find hidden amongst the sea of other games. The soundtrack sounds nice, the puzzles were fun to solve, and the game gave me a Limbo/Inside vibe but with more story narrative that grips you to keep you wanting to play another chapter. It’s one of those games where after you finish a chapter or a specific part of the story, you can’t help but pause for a moment to reflect what happened and think on your choices. FantasticI originally downloaded this game probably about a year ago but never had time to play it. Finally got around to it and man what game this is! A proper mobile game. No RNG, no loot box gatcha mechanics, just a short story driven game with gorgeous pixel graphics that remind me of the good old days. I wish more games like this were on Apple Arcade instead of all the other games with a “+” in the title which just means a gatcha game without micro transactions but with all the other gatcha mechanics left in. Story vs GameplayThis game evidently didn’t have gameplay affect the story, rather the story affect the gameplay. This is fine and all, but this game goes too overboard on this, where certain parts of the game, especially the girl’s section feel like a walking simulator simply to tell what she discovers. The combat is not only isolated from the main section/focal character of the game, it also doesn’t propose any true challenge, simply binds to the story. In fact, the story is so poorly conveyed that there has to be a twenty minute cutscene in the end, just to clear it all up. Wow!Absolutely incredible. I couldn’t stop playing. Loved it soooo much. There are still some glitches. Like when I jumped off the turkey’s (or whatever he is) elevator onto the spikes and died, the elevator seemed stuck at the top and wouldn’t come back down for me. Soundtracks are extremely impressiveThank god that there was this Inmost game to save me exactly when I could use a little grief at midnight, all alone. Amazing but keeps crashing on falling level!!I got this game today and have been obsessed with it, reaching the point where the old man falls into a dungeon hallway after the boy jumps off the castle. One of the best games I have ever played on any platform.I’ve been gaming since the early 90s, I’ve played a lot of games in my time but this is seriously one of the best games I have ever played. Nice Little ExperiencePretty decent little game. The story has a good theme, although is perhaps a little wobbly or too ambitious with some of the specifics (which I won’t mention for spoilers). Controls were pretty good on iPhone, even though swiping up too enthusiastically made it try to change apps. I did encounter a few bugs on my play-through: 1) I fell through the floor on the far right of the room with the cage in the tower before I moved the cage, and was therefore stuck. 2) Twice in the slime area with the knight, I teleported to the end of the room, upside down on the ceiling, becoming stuck and having to start over. Pixelated ridiculousnessI cannot understand for the life of me why so many games are still made with pixel “art” in this modern age where gorgeous computer graphics can be created even by the most amateur user. I assume all the younger generations are for some weird reason enthralled with everything “retro.” I don’t WANT to re-experience pixelated computer games. I want to experience what the modern world has made possible! Anyway, despite how much I loathe everything retro, I decided to give this a try because it had so many rave reviews. Ugh! Another Bad-Dad SimulatorAside from having a tired theme amidst an ocean of semi-horror games (e.g. Limbo, Little Nightmares) that All claim a deeper meaning, the mishmash of characters, scenarios, and design choices seem to work counter to each other. 1. The game’s characters move at a crawling speed - the game seems to acknowledge this when you’re required to play as the slowest of the three characters (no spoilers) and the game edit-cuts away from certain staircases, yet others are not granted a similar reprieve. This seems to be done to force a certain mood onto you in the name of conveying “realistic” suffering. 2. The kinds of puzzles amount to item fetch-quests to solve rudimentary puzzles, also in the name of the aforementioned theme. That kind of choice molds the game into a kind of 2D Layers of Fear, without the latter’ s jump scares to occasionally remind you that you’re conscious. 3. The touch controls are unresponsive, and iOS often thought my jump commands were Home swipes. Definitely interpret the game’s recommendation to play with a controller as a bare-minimum requirement rather than a way to “enhance your experience.” On the whole, I’m sure it’s very meaningful to someone, but it strikes me as more pretentious than subtle..Prof-EnglishVersion: 1.01

Tldr; very slow movement makes exploration unfunIts very pretty, but in turn it lacks the things that make games clear and iconic like silhouette style design or colour schemes so you often cant tell what things are without trying everything. Combine this with the clunky one-finger control that prevents you from quickly trying anything and a ton of time will get wasted for what could be simple actions. In addition, death is instant and sets you back 20ish seconds resulting in a lot of time just walking back and forth with no direction.
