HealingIn today’s session, Cory Muscara introduce the concept of dealing with thoughts that intrude your practice. I often struggle during the quiet portions of my meditation with thoughts that come in, disrupt my focus, often causing feelings of frustration, disappointment, and other less than supportive reactions. Cory, introduces a phrase, that will forever impact my meditation sessions. In the session, he suggests, adding, when one of those thoughts, intrudes your practice, take time to recognize the thought and say “you are welcome here too”. That simple turn of phrase will forever change my practice. It removes the negative reaction, the frustration, and the unnecessary disappointment I would have when these thoughts would come to mind. By allowing myself to welcome these thoughts, not as distractions, but thoughts and feelings that are welcome as part of my meditative practice, changes how I will react, and feel about myself, seeing myself as less critical, and more compassionate and understanding person both inside and outside of my practice. Best meditation app out thereBeen meditating since I was 9 and have tried many approaches, and in recent years used a number of apps for guided meditations. Melli and Cory give the best, non-religious introductions and guideposts throughout each meditation. Having a new one every day is grounding and helps you feel like you’re growing. I’ve been using it for over a year and a half, after reading STOP MISSING YOUR LIFE, and I use up all the 30-day passes every month, I’ve recommended it to so many loved ones. You can select the amount of time you want each meditation to last, so it’s also ideal if you have a changing schedule / a lot of resistance / only have a few minutes, or if you want to spend more time, you can go up to 30 minutes per session. Also, both teachers are grounded and gentle, realistic and of-this-world. Every day there’s joy waiting within, and this app has helped open me to it, even on days when I least expect it. Getting in touch with the “Deep I”I just went through an intuitive guidance meditation and wow, I have never really been “there” this is soooo hopeful, soooo promising, soooo enlightening and I am just scratching the surface. Cory Muscara is just a wonderful vehicle, an enabler, a mentor, a facilitator to get you “there”. I highly recommend this app! I was somewhat skeptical when it first came out, in comparison with other apps in this space, but it has so grown on me during its evolution, so much so, that I expect to be a forever subscriber. This is life changing!So i suffer with insomnia and bad anxiety and I don’t really know how to express it. This app really helps relieve anxiety no matter where you are. And this helps me sleep better with their sleep stories! Even though I don’t realy get to finish the stories i fall asleep withing 10-15 minutes. It helps me feel better about sleeping alone in the dark because I have HORRIBLE fear of the dark and I have breakdowns when my door is closed, even open im scared but this app makes me feel like im not alone and that i can finally have a good night rest in a long time. Supportive guidance, great for beginnersI’ve been using this app for several months now. I had run into Mrs. Mindfulness online and love her perspectives. She has worked with a variety of mindfulness “masters.” I started with the free version of the app, and when they ran a special on the lifetime membership I decided to go for it. Even though I don’t always meditate daily, knowing I will always have this resource is great. I like that there is a very short presentation before each daily meditation. It sets the mood and gives good food for thought. Then the theme is applied in the guided meditation. At any time I can choose a different “track” (for example, stress relief or improving sleep). And each day I can choose how long I want to mediate (anywhere from 5 or 6 minutes to 20 and sometimes more are the options). The experience is very customizable. There are two instructors, Mrs. Mindfulness (Melli) and a young man whom I like just as well, if not better. I like that I can set a time of day for the app to remind me to meditate, too. I would say this is a nice app for beginning and intermediate mediators. It helps build the meditation habit and skills. If I don’t want so much guidance I can just listen to my intro for the day and then mediate on my own. But I usually choose to listen to the structured meditation, at least for 5-6 minutes..Version: 1.1.17

Anxiety AttackI go to gymnastics,and I am not trying to brag but I am very good at it. So because of that, I am very young and I am put in a class with people way older than ME. Last class I ran out crying, and I have been thinking about the other girls thoughts and what they think of me. All of my anxiety has taken over me where I can’t even bring up the word gymnastics. All of my family and friends have been trying their hardest to help me overcome that thought, but it just didn’t quite work. I tried the anxiety mediation today and the bells and the silence just helped me relax and rethink about what the other gymnastics are thinking about me. Very useful and helpfulGood afternoon, Mindfulness is a creative approach to guided meditation! Mindfulness begins its sessions with a deep breathing technique which is used to activate your parasympathetic nervous system, the same system that helps return our bodies to its normal resting state. My topic of focus was stress relieve. Throughout the sessions, your mentor introduces new ways to view or handle your stress. This is a method called cognitive challenging. This is practiced in Cognitive-behavioral therapy to help individuals learn to rethink and modify the distorted thoughts or predictions they have about themselves, the future, and the world. Although this is commonly practiced for those with a depressive disorder, it is a good maintenance tool to use regularly to help improve mood and behavior even if you do not suffer from this disorder. Great content; seriously overpricedI did the first three days of daily mindfulness videos. It starts with a video explaining a mindfulness concept and is followed by a short (or long, depending on your preference) guided meditation. I have to say I found the content compelling, insightful, and engaging. However, after your first three sessions, you have no access to any further content unless you sign up for the most wildly overpriced subscription I’ve ever seen in an app. $96/year is a little insane, especially compared to the many free alternatives. I’ve decided that instead of springing for this quality, but costly, content, to stick with Balance, another meditation app I’ve used that’s completely free to use and still totally life-changing. If the price comes down in future, which I expect it will eventually have to, then I will reconsider paying for these videos, which I did thoutoghly enjoy and benefit from. The opposite of anxietyA few years ago when I heard someone say they had anxiety I didn’t think it was a real thing. Now I know it’s as real as me being alive. More help like this is needed I have family members also of different ages who lifestyle is affected in a negative way because of how it keeps them from doing a lot of productive good things such a social gatherings and business. It paralyze you in a sense. Restrict your movements by limiting your fun and business activities, if you don’t get it under control with meds and or therapy. I suggest both. Both together has helped me and my family extremely. Cory eases you into acceptance for your own lifeI’ve been a fan of Cory’s for a long time. The past few years, his teachings have helped me find a new way of showing up to my life with acceptance (thanks Oprah 2020 vision!) and with ease. Why this app is amazing 👍This app is amazing because I do w the time and it definitely helped with my anxiety. My hole family did the sleeping one and we all fell asleep in less than ten minutes. Witch normally mom mom is up all night but she actually got ten hours of sleep. I woke up with an positive attitude. Review for the Mindfulness appThis app came at the right time in my life as I face issues with my heath and a recent house fire. It is a daily reminder to stay grounded and present. Meditation with CoreyI’m in constant pain, both physically due to a cancer diagnosis and mentally because I’m off of all antidepressants and am trying to heal my mind more spiritually. This 1s session was somewhat helpful to me except the focusing on posture a bit too much. Mornings are the toughest time for me. My thoughts just ruminate from one thought to another and I’m usually in bed crying because 1st of all, Im a 68 year old woman who’s been dealing with cancer and physical pain and also, I suffer from extreme anxiety and depression. I love this app!The mindfulness app has many options and I have explored and used them. Perfect Meditation at the Perfect TimeThis meditation was released the day I was induced for labor. I was so stressed as my original expectations for what labor were to look like continued to change. New appreciationI’m 73 years old and with aging I feel like my body is failing me. I’m in constant pain. This meditation reminded me how much my body was able to do in the past but also to enjoy what I can do now even if it is a limited version. Exactly what I needed todayI still can’t sleep because that meditation was so powerful for me, I felt inspired to rise out of bed and do some journaling. I learned that the 30 minute version of Bare Necessities sleep meditation had intervals too long for me. I would start thinking I had a techy problem during the intervals. High Focus, “No” StressLoved this meditation because it was attainable to focus on the nostrils then when the mind wandered I labeled “thinking” then repeated throughout and it helped me to think “no”stress instead of “low” stress and the stress just disappeared And near the end I thought to myself “thinking” (lol) “this is the same skill I use in body scan meditations,” you ended with a body scan. SleepoverMy friend and I were at a writing conference. She said her favorite part was when the keynote speaker took us through a mindfulness exercise. I suggested that we use a mindfulness meditation as we settled in to sleep that night. Regaining my Inner BalanceThis mindfulness talk was a really good eye opener for me. Wonderful contentI have another mediation app that I still enjoy. The Mindfulness app just has a little more of what I also wanted. It has nature sounds, music, and wonderful meditations. The short videos that sometimes accompany the meditation make it feel a little more personal. Grateful for discovering this app!I’m a few days into my subscription and am feeling grateful to have discovered the app. The daily reminders have be very helpful in achieving my goals in my meditation practice.
