PhenomenalI have seen VERY few games available on a phone as good as this series. This is what a game built for the app store should be and could be when the developers actually put effort into making a good game. The story is pretty interesting, if you ignore the fact that Da vinci somehow managed to make a time machine that can fit in your hand lol. This is not a story game though, it is an amazing puzzle game and the story does perfect in tying together the puzzles and making them relevant to each other. None of the puzzle are the same, in a few instances you may find a puzzle that at first seems like one you have already completed, only for you to realize there is a whole additional layer to it. The story provides enough intrigue to keep you invested and excited to move to the next chapter for more reasons than just the new puzzles. The difficulty in these games is perfect for me, fairly difficult but not difficult enough for me the spend hours unraveling a single chapter. Even if you run into a point where you are stumped, the optional hints are more than helpful for getting you back on track. Amazing - I am one happy camper.I have not been disappointed at all with this latest release of Davinci. So far there have been no glitches, issues, complaints. I am on my 4th evening of playing (about 3-4 hours per night - best guesstimate) and I am pretty sure that I am on the last chapter. I have depended on the hint system a lot more in this release than in past releases. I try very hard not to use hints, but I found that this game was a bit less intuitive in parts. Sometimes I just needed a nudge to figure out where to focus my efforts but a couple of times I needed full out help. All in all, the game was fantastic! The graphics were great. I enjoyed the plot (which I usually dont care about), and I did not encounter any glitches on my 9th gen iPad. The movement of the character wasnt as smooth as previous games but it did not impede the game in any way as you typically focused on bigger areas in this game and less on secret compartments etc. All in all, fantastic. An incredible end to a fantastic trilogy, a must have for puzzle loversIt’s a rare sight to see a game series of this caliber available on mobile without drastic cuts to quality. I discovered this series during the pandemic and fell in love with it. I bought the second game immediately when it came out and played multiple times. Scrolling through the App Store yesterday I was ecstatic to see the third iteration was out. The story is captivating, the puzzles are genuinely difficult and require you to think three steps ahead and sometimes behind ;). The graphics aren’t great sometimes, and touch controls can be annoying on mobile, but honestly I didn’t notice. Tie all this together with a beautiful soundtrack, amazingly satisfying sound effects, and this is one game that everyone who enjoys puzzle games needs to play as soon as possible. A little glitchyHave played all the da Vinci games so far and have enjoyed them. 1 and 2 were far better though. Had similar problems to other gamers, my profile would disappear. I’ve discovered that you have to force quit the game twice before the profile appears again. This was after starting the game from the beginning once already, luckily I wasn’t too far into it before my discovery. The save point was quite frustrating. You can’t continue where you left off within a puzzle and have to start it from scratch. Also, if my screen timed out, or if I switched apps momentarily, the game would crash or restart; therefore making me have to force quit twice for the profile to appear and redo the puzzle. A little tedious. There are also places where the graphics in geometric shapes would flash green randomly, particularly in Borgia’s hideout. The story line has been great and the puzzles mostly fun, however some puzzle were less intuitive that the first 2 games. You really have to guess what is expected of you. BeautifulWe need more games like this in the App Store. The game is beautifully crafted with no detailed gone unnoticed. The game provides an immersive experience with none of the distractions that other games come with (e.g. pop ups, in app purchases, etc.). Anytime I see this game or one of “The Room” series drop, I purchase it as soon as possible. To the developers: Please continue to produce these beautiful games in the same fashion you have. Please know that I am willing to pay a premium upfront to maintain the integrity of the experience. I wish this games came out more frequently, but I understand it takes a while to craft such a beautiful piece of art. Too hard to readI love the blue brain games and have waited a long time for a sequel to the wonderful House of da Vinci series. What I find extremely hard is that I cannot read the tiny print that the hints and the tax during the game are written. There’s no way to make them bigger. I have to get a magnifying glass or really strong glasses to try to read this. Otherwise it has the same excellence as the other games and as soon as I can find a magnifying glass I’m looking forward to playing it. Developers, kudos on your work, but please please please make the font able to be magnified!! It is the only reason this is getting four stars instead of five! A real puzzlerThis installment has been really challenging. Though a few of the puzzles were extremely difficult to get going on, the most were simple a great challenge. Storyline was well thought out, and you never knew what challenges were awaiting you, with each new chapter. Hints were usually obscure enough to still make you think a bit, without spoiling the puzzle. Personally, I thought one or two hints were a bit too obscure, but I still got through it. A very well-done puzzler that I could recommend to anyone who was up to a challenge. I think I could place this series as a close second to “The Room” series. Buy this game! MehI have played a lot of these modern Myst-like knockoffs. I totally disagree with many of the other people who loved this game. I would say about half the puzzles were ok. Some were just straight up some ridiculous concoctions with nice art around them. The animation is nice. Nothing as good as The Room games though. Maybe more in line with $2.99. Certainly not worth the price they are charging! I will give the programmers one compliment related to reading the stupid letters that were left around to read. They are more legible than previous versions on the phone. Still needs a lot of improvement though. I would wait until this game drops below $3 before even considering buying this game. Loving the game until i got stuck in a glitch in Chapter 3!This game has had me glued to the breakfast table every morning before work. I am now stuck in a glitch. I took screen shots. It happened when I found the Pope’s secret chamber downstairs. I found the puzzle to the right of a door and decided to check the rest of the room out before working on the puzzle. There was a way to enter “somewhere” to the left so I did and it was a dark room with a sky light and a letter on the floor. I picked up the letter and read it, then turned around and it won’t let me leave because it thinks I am trying to go back out the main door. I installed the upgrade but it didn’t fix it. I am going to now have to restart the chapter I guess. I will update my review after I see if restarting the chapter works..Smd711meVersion: 1.0.4

OutstandingI had a great time playing HODV3! 12+ hours of fun solving puzzles and adventuring with Leonardo himself. The puzzles were variable, some easy, some quite difficult, but always intricate and exciting and well-done. The graphics are terrific. The storyline, while far-fetched (no surprise), is fun and relatively easy to follow. No bugs for me. My only complaints are (1) that there are errors in some of the language on the screen, and (2) that the voice actors had British accents — couldn’t you find any Italian voice actors? Beautiful but familiarAs a lover of these types of puzzle games I was so excited for this game. And it was definitely worth the wait! Intricate and beautiful graphics along with a great story make this a five star game. My only gripe and reasoning for 4 stars is that it isn’t entirely original. While there aren’t many games like this out there it’s very obvious that there were quite a few elements/puzzles that were taken straight from The Room series. This isn’t necessarily a dealbreaker for me as imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. I had just hoped for some more originality! Great storyLike others have mentioned, compared to the prior 2 games, chapter 3 is more story than puzzles. Though the story was well done, great voice acting too. Nice to see more complex character development and not just a “good vs bad” story. Though it was a long game...wish it had more of the complex puzzles like the prior 2. And not sure if it’s a glitch, but at least 5-6 times, an item or inactive area didn’t light up or work...so I spent a long time re-tracing my steps ...only to go back... and voilá, that interactive area NOW works. Maybe it’s some kind of activation delay? But it can get frustrating to run around (or even to use a clue) only to find out that what I was doing the first time was correct. The movements are smooth but a lot of back and forth ....pinch-in-swipe-pinch-out-swipe-doubletap-tap-pinch ...can get tedious. Bottom line...it’s still a great game with beautiful graphics and proper feeling of immersion. Background music was spot on awesome. Gonna miss Da Vinci. GlitchyIt’s almost hard to leave anything less than 5 stars. I’m a huge fan of this game series and have been since I discovered it, but this particular game has been glitchy for me. It only saves my game profile if I exit the app for about 10 minutes and then come back. But anything longer than that and it deletes my profile and makes me start the whole game all over again. Anyone who plays knows that this game is not quick to get though, between the cut scenes and repeating the same levels and puzzles over and over again, its so frustrating. That 4th Star is generousI love this type of puzzle game, but I was disappointed when I realized that not ALL of the puzzles could be solved through playing the game. I dislike ever having to ask for hints. It felt like some portions of the game were well thought out and that with persistence, resolving the puzzles would eventually be possible. However, some portions were lacking in story and the puzzles seemed totally irrelevant and disconnected from the plot line. Some portions seemed like the developers were told to “wrap up” the project and they were grasping at straws to end it without complete disaster. Overall a decent game. A great, fun, creative and challenging gameWow! I just finished all 3 House of DaVinci games. I will suggest this game to people who love escape games with added artistry, great 3D experiences and challenges (and hints for people like me that occasionally is at a loss as to what to do next but only wants enough to continue). An added piece of fun was moving from the present to the past in order to see how their world looked like before all the destruction and using the past to correct the future. So disappointingI have been hooked on the DaVinci series and have never had an issue until now. The game worked well until I updated and it had removed my profile. I started over and it skipped ahead to the third chapter. I go to play again this evening and my profile is there but I am now back at the second chapter and none of the work from chapter 3 has been saved. I have always gladly paid the fee for these games because they are outstanding but because of this continued issue, I wish I hadn’t. I won’t start this game again. A Very Satisfying Conclusion to a Remarkable Series!I was captivated by The House of Da Vinci from my first moment in the first installment of the series. The House of Da Vinci 3 does not disappoint. Puzzles range from pretty straightforward to maddeningly obtuse (at least, for me), but the hints, when needed, always helped me overcome the challenge. Fantastic Game!Just finished The House of Da Vinci. 3 and I loved it. The graphics are amazing, the puzzles are engaging & challenging but not frustrating. The story is well written and the characters are intriguing. One word of advice: Unless you’re really stuck, avoid tapping on the clues. Well worth the five bucks.Love The Room series and the House of Divinchi Series. Hours of fun. I play it on an iPad which for me is much better than a small phone screen. Good story line with lots of great puzzles. Like the first two and the Room series, solving each puzzle advances further along through the game. Really great installment in a really great seriesThe whole House of Da Vinci series has been really enjoyable. You can pay 10x as much for an AAA console title that won’t be nearly as fun. I haven’t had this much fun with a puzzle adventure since the original Myst came out on CD-ROM, and the whole idea of graphically immersive games was still brand new. Love these and will buy anything this studio puts out. One thing that was weird: why do all these very, very Italian characters have such clearly British accents? Fun but glitchyThis game has the great qualities of the previous two but the glitches make it frustrating to play. I’m most frustrated by the tendency to backtrack and not save progress. Even if I complete a chapter, it sends me back to the previous one and I don’t always remember which of the things I did still exist and which were erased. There is a workaround for the profile erasing bug. If I choose an empty profile (not from the slot where mine should be, but from an unused slot) and then hit cancel from the profile naming screen, my profile is back where it should be..A mom in NCVersion: 1.0.6

The Greatest Game and The Most Confusing GlitchI thoroughly enjoy the game, but this glitch… So I got to chapter 2 on the crossbow section and experienced a harsh glitch that force shut down the game. When I go back into the game, it deleted my profile, and when I create a new profile and complete chapter 1 again it jumped me to chapter 3. Good but has bugsI still love the mash of story and gameplay used here. Puzzles are great as always. There’s definitely an uptick in the amount of cutscenes, but that’s fine with me. There are a few bugs in the sound. Many objects won’t have any sound effects paired (or it’s out of sync) and sometimes the music fades out for long stretches of time, which is disappointing because I really enjoy the sound design and music in this series. Profiles sometimes disappearedHolding one star back but I do want to eventually rate full score for this app, as the previous seasons were so amazing. However, in season 3, I almost got panic attack when I opened the app where I did not see my profile. But then when I restarted the app, my profile reappears. Game not Saving on ClosingIs there a reason that the game does not save on closing? I have had to restart chapter 2 several times, including having to start from the beginning. Maybe it's just meI started playing and encountered the past/present crossbow. I need to destroy the giant jugs. I wasted some arrows, but figured out I needed to go into the present to pick up some more. Great. The only problem is that now that I have more ammunition, I am unable to aim the crossbow. The (sight? I'm not sure of the terminology) viewfinder thing is missing again. I've looked all over in the past and present to replace it, but I haven't had any luck. I guess I'm stalled? DisappointingI have played the previous games and enjoyed them-definitely a cut above most games. However, this one was a disappointment. The puzzles were often nearly impossible to solve(I love challenging puzzles, but, really??). And, part of the reason some of the puzzles were difficult was it felt rather glitchy. It just felt to me like I was moving from one nearly impossible task to the next, so, not enjoyable. Best Game!!This has by far been one of my favorite games alongside The Room Series. I think it is great for the inquisitive mind and I enjoyed the storytelling aspect of the game. There are definitely moments when the non player scenes seem to drag on. And for some odd reason the audio stopped working mid game despite my IPAD audio working perfectly well on other apps. Beautiful game with some terrible design.I purchased it because I love these type of games. Divine II was excellent and intriguing. This game I feel added unnecessary running back and forth to help give the game length. I had to use a lot of hints, and I’m usually very good at these games. It just didn’t flow well. Yep, glitched.Some where towards the end of the game is a puzzle that has ya operating a pair if scissors while moving some blocks on a 4 sided board that has 4 blocks on a 6 tile field using only 2 of the tiles as a goal to fit the correct 2 blocks in place. Confusing ? Yes. Sorry. I got stuck on the third part of four. There is a limited possibilities and I did try them all in order to get the scissors unlocked to cut the cord so I could move on to the forth part of the puzzle. Stuck on the third. Otherwise a most awesome series of games. Has a plot that makes ya try to remember those history lesson most of us ignored. No really, this game actually has a plot line. Go figure. Recognition zone too smallI was stuck at chapter 1 for 2 days cuz I couldn’t figure out where to use the cutter and didn’t wanna use the cheat. Turns out, I was right to put it on the locked door in the room, but it was just that I moved the icon of the cutter onto the chains instead of the door itself so it was not recognized. Help!I’ve just completed the chapter that involves the amulet and Borgia at Luca’s villa. My screen went to a yellow to blue horizontal gradient but the X out button was still there. I clicked it and it took me to the main menu page but the menu was in beta form. I’ve closed and reopened the app and restarted my iPad and now the menu screen has no words on it, just the image of the desk with the oculus on it. One of the best games of its kind!I don't often leave reviews for games, but this game deserves one. A lot of work and research went into this game, and in many ways it brought the time period alive. The puzzles were fascinating, and I appreciated the hints if I needed them. The graphics were well done, and the whole game was presented beautifully. The music was beautiful as well. There were a few questions left unanswered, but I won't ask them here in order not to spoil the game for others. This game is truly one of the best play experiences I have had in games of this genre. I am truly sad, in some ways to have finished it, but also truly happy for having played it. Thank you Blue Brain Games for all the time and effort you have put into this game and this series. Bug in cave with craneI can’t complete the game because of a bug with attaching the hook on the crane to the loop on the trapdoor in the cave. I’ve spent 15 minutes just trying to get the hook through the loop. The graphics here are bad, as the hook moves through the solid part of the loop, glitching through it, and it’s flat-out impossible to get it in the loop. I’d love to finish the game, but this is making it impossible. Can you either fix it or refund me? Edit: that hook is AWFUL. I restarted the chapter, suffered through that horrible opening-the-cave puzzle again, forgot about the bag, and now I can’t attach the hook to the bag. I’m done with this buggy game. WAY too expensive for such a game-breaking bug. I recommend you just make the hook click on to something with no manipulation, since this is simply ridiculous. Don’t buy this game until they’ve done some bug fixing, y’all. Edit: Well, the crane bug is fixed, but now I can’t get the crane to stop once I start pushing it. It just keeps pushing. Sigh. Difficult and arbitrary controls hiding solutionsFrom the first moments I was frustrated by how difficult it is to move and look around. Some objects have very limited perspectives — but guess what, some of them you have to look at the back of to solve, even though it seems like the perspective would be locked like so many places. Though the first one of the series didn’t bother me too much, this one makes it clear that the designers ought to be copying what works in the Room series much more closely. Great Game, Erased Progress!I was about 75% done with this game. I didn’t play for a few days. When I tried to pick up where I was my profile was gone. All that time, all those puzzles, I have to do all over again. How infuriating!! I want my money back or my progress back. I feel like I wasted my money on this one.
