Great app for financial literacy!I wish more schools would utilize apps and programs like Zogo. The information is presented in small chunks and lessons that help keep users engaged and allow for better comprehension. The opportunity to receive a real reward (not just points or badges—though those are helpful too) is very motivating and I myself have successfully redeemed a gift card. The graphics are clean and modern, and the daily challenges in particular are fun. I appreciate the variety of lessons/topics available and look forward to seeing more added. My only criticism is that “Zoe’s story” sections don’t add much to the lesson and act as something to just click through without reading, however this may only be because I’m not a younger user and I assume that’s the target audience for the stories. Also, some questions are worded very specifically or strange so that even if you know the answer, the way it’s worded makes you doubt yourself. This is the case for questions that ask you if ___ is __ and it’s not a fact but rather just how the app’s lesson worded it. Unsure if that makes sense but wanted to add. Otherwise, I have only positive things to say about this app. Even if you think you have a good understanding of money, this app shows you there’s plenty of room to grow. I love how simple it is- and there’s no catch to enjoying learning!We all know about literacy apps that make you pay for premium learning or more enhanced learning you don’t get with the “free version”. Zogo pays YOU for learning how to handle money better! 😁 I got upset when I ran out of hearts because I thought I would have to pay to receive more or wait for HOURS- but in fact, all you really have to do is cough up a meager 500 pineapples! ☺️ As a person with ADHD and other learning disorders that make it hard to focus and learn “complicated” topics like the ones Zogo covers, Zogo actually makes it really easy and fun to learn new things, and it sticks in my brain for when I need to use the things I learned in the real world! 💕💕 Definitely recommend for anyone trying to learn more about how to manage money, especially if you’re a lower income citizen. Very informative but hard to actually cash outI’ve had this app for 2 days now and I’ve already earned $5. I try to cash out but it says that I need a sponsor, which is understandable. I actually enjoy learning about the topics provided. The way the creators designed it makes it interesting and fun. The only problem is that I’ve seen multiple people say that they were never able to receive a sponsor, which worries me. One even saying that they’ve had the app for a month and still had no luck. Another saying that this app doesn’t pay out for new members. I will continue adding up my points and waiting. I know covid-19 may have some sort of play as to why it takes awhile to get sponsors. I currently have 25 in my area so I’m hoping I can get one very soon! If you only download the app to learn the topics then this app is great! But if you download this for the rewards then it may be awhile till you actually get any or if the reviews are right then you may never receive any at all, so please take that into account. Great even for a refresher on what you thought you knew as well. Fun challenges, holds your interest and great for short meaningful spurts of knowledge. Pretty sure it’s a scam but... maybe notIn this app you basically get money for free... well not really money, gift cards, but still. This makes me think that it must be a scam. Even if it is a scam though, it doesn’t ask for your credit card information so you really have nothing to loose. I haven’t gotten enough pineapples to receive a gift card yet and I’m sure that when I do I won’t get the gift card anyway but whatever. Its great but...The app is great and it actually has redeemable gift cards. Other than that I do have a few problems with it. The first is the points, my sister has this app as well and recommended me to it and for some reason she earns around 300 pineapples per module while I earn 90 which is probably a glitch but still. Second thing is they keep logging me out of my account and the only way to log in is by phone number. You also cant use a phone number by app so. They should realize not everyone with a device has a phone number so it gets really annoying to have to get help from a friend or not be able to use the app in a whole. For my sister she has already earned $60 dollars within a week but i can barely make $15 because of the bugs and errors in the app such as freezing and errors. Money or not its goodThis app is honestly so fun! Lets be honest here, in the end whether i get money or not im still learning in a game esc style. People who say that they aren’t earning money quickly, it never advertises “quick money “ it’s helpful and helping you learn… get over it!!! If you know your stuff and YOU ACTUALLY STUDY! Great, in the beginning.In the beginning of using, it’s great way to learn financials. It’s a great way motivator to keep learning, however, I’ve hit stumbles along the way without an easy way to contact support. After restarting my phone, my issue is this, the “general questions” section is completely empty. Nothing!! White screen!! Not even drop down boxes have any info, questions, etc. I’m unsure what the app refers to as “the bubble game”. Since the topics are inside a “circular icon”, I’m assuming that’s what’s considered, the bubble game. lol. Seems my connection to “support “ thru Apple store doesn’t seem to show up. “Contact us”, will not allow me to fill in my email. So, hence the 3 star rating. Great Way to Learn & Earn!!!You read a topic, take a test, and then repeat, until you take a big test at the end, which covers everything you just learned. It’s that simple and easy, but you learn new things and get points from it. Once you accumulate enough pineapples, you usually get the gift card right away. I really appreciate how there’s a wide variety of skills they offer, not only focusing on the financial side(like cooking an egg, growing a garden, etc.) Hopefully, they add more soon. My only issue is that there are some questions/answers that are confusing and kinda vague. Some answer choices can be right, but are considered wrong according to Zogo. I wish this existed earlier! It’s so usefulI am a college student who’s about to graduate and there’s information in here that is new to me. Financial education and guidance on applying to college was almost nonexistent during my high school years, even though I lived in a relatively well-funded area. This app is concise and serves as a great starting point if you know little to nothing about these topics. There’s been no technical issues so far. I don’t mind the points system or the limited hearts/lives. It might be annoying if you’re bad at multiple choice. The questions aren’t that difficult though! Banking 101I used to be a head teller at a corporate bank that handled money for all branches in the Northern VA area decades ago. I remember being in the vault counting millions of dollars thinking people work a lifetime to have this nest egg. Excellent Finance Learning AppI usually don’t write reviews but this app was so great I had to. First of all for those who are here for the gift cards: Yes, they are real. But the real treasure isn’t the gift cards, it’s 100% the financial knowledge you can get from this app. I’m super surprised this app is free and contains no ads because the amount of knowledge within this app is comparable to a good amount of college level economics and financial knowledge. Great conceptI previously did a review letting you all know that I wasn’t getting my gift cards. Here’s an update: I’ve been using Zogo for about 2 years now. I have learned quite a bit in the modules, and I’ve always held true to that. I had an issue where the app was constantly showing 0 gift cards available. After going back and forth with reps that were adamant on telling me that I should check at better times or that the bank was to blame, I decided to contact my local bank that was affiliated with Zogo. The bank was so helpful and got me in touch with someone in charge at Zogo who fixed the issue. Now I’m back to 100% loving this app. Now, when I go in there, I no longer see 0 gift cards. Perfect, but with a catch.I don't really ever write reviews for apps, but I felt the need because Zogo has certainly been a unique experience. It has a friendly interface with seemingly free rewards for learning! I've already accumulated enough in-app currency to exchange for a $5 gift card after just about 30 minutes However, I must "verify" my account by showing a photo of my drivers license or passport. Not only is this sketchy, it's Zogo's only way to get your rewards. It is safe to assume that they would turn around and sell your information, because there's no other way their business plan would be profitable. Really easy to learn extremely important life skills!I am so impressed with this app, truly. This app makes it so easy to learn about financial life skills that you would otherwise never learn unless you sought it out. I was not too confident in my knowledge when downloading the app but surprisingly knew a few cool things that were mentioned in the first module I completed, though the second module I’m on is way out of my area of expertise so I’m learning a ton! Don’t waste your timeI’ve been using this app since about last July, so over 6 months, and I have about 25,000 pineapples saved up, which is the app’s currency. I was saving them up so I could get one of the bigger gift cards they offered, but I checked today to see that they are completely out of any gift cards!! Made it to $50 gcThis is a good educational financial tool. It takes a lot of time to read, earn points and to earn rewards. I received all the rewards gift cards with no issues. However When I made it to $50 gc after tons of hours spent, tried to redeem and then they told me that I had too many emails and phone numbers associated with the account and could be fraudulent so they declined the reward. If they checked, all my rewards were sent to the same email and number associated with it. IDK if they just don’t wanna pay out the higher gc or what. Great for learning!So i would give this game 5 stars, as the topics really interest me and i feel rewarded whenever i get a new gift card! However, zogo’s support really isn’t the best. I made an account, cool, now it’s time for verification. I fill out the verification, and even though i used a license and got it verified it didn't work. I email support because i probably didn’t take a clear enough photo. (which also is really hard for some reason??) A WEEK goes by and i still get no answer. I get zogo has business days and such but i shouldn't have to wait a week (plus more! i still haven't gotten an answer!) to re-do verification. 2 and a halfTo be honest, I love zogo. It helps kids and teens with learning what they need in the future and earn quick gift cards while studying. Recently though, zogo has partnered with stride where you have to submit a usa ID, passport, and drivers license. Which I’m pretty okay with since a lot of bots or people create new accounts to earn even more money and lie. The problem I have is the selfie part, most parents are most likely not to do that for their children, so they will never be able to cash out. The ID part is totally understandable, but the selfie is very unnecessary. Another problem with this app is that gift cards are almost never in stock. Before this app updated or had the verification steps, I was always able to see when and how much gift cards where left, even if one was left I was still able to see. These days I can’t cash out because I wait for Monday midnight ET, the next day I woke up at 7AM-8AM and checked and already it says they will be restocked/refreshed at Monday midnight ET with 0 cards left. I hate this glitch or whatever it is so much. This doesn’t only happen to me, but to other people. Disappointing first experience…So I am a Fetch Rewards user (best app in the world!) and a buddy of mine has introduced me to Zogo, another app that rewards you free gift cards if you collect a sufficient amount of points. I mean, who doesn’t love free stuff right? So I decided to try this out to see what this ‘alternative’ rewards app has to offer. Unfortunately, my experience was a disappointment. I wanted to earn a $5 Apple Gift Card and needed a ton of pineapples to get it. So I play a ton of the learning games to rack up the amount of points needed to earn my gift card. As soon as I successfully racked up the required amount of points for it, I redeem it and… my reward was denied. Why? Well, it turns out my account was flagged for suspicious activity. I’m sorry what? Suspicious activity? You gotta be kidding… It was ridiculous because I did nothing wrong. All I did was play games to earn points to redeem for a free gift card and all of that just to get denied for suspicious activity? And not to mention that the points I redeemed were subtracted from my total but I’m still empty handed with no reward. What a joke. I wasted my time with this. Too Many Bad Changes & BuggyI love the idea of learning; however it seems Zogo continues to make bad changes with this app. It started with a Daily Challenge early in the day where you would be able to answer questions based on learning beginning at 6:00 p.m. Well, that wasn’t bad but a continuous bug made it impossible to use the app to do it at 6:00 p.m. Next, they changed this challenge to a “Party” at 10:00 p.m. This was good except when you have to work the next morning, Zogo doesn’t take precedence. More recently, the app started the party at 9:00 p.m. - the issue now is that Zogo doesn’t provide any information prior to the challenge questions, it goes right into asking timed questions! And it appears that you cannot earn large incentives of pineapples (or at least I haven’t). So, needless to say, I am growing more and more uncomfortable with this app. And I don’t think I will tell anyone to use it anymore. DisappointedI was loving this app until it had some problems. I had told my pre teens about it to encourage him to earn some gift cards for somethings things he wanted but now the reward system is really disappointing. You only get +5 points for getting a question right. Now it takes forever to even get close to a $5 gift card. Referral is only a 100 pineapples now which is .10 cents! This App Is TrashFind the negative reviews ( they were trending) here and heed the warning, as I didn’t. The very same thing happened to me that another user warned of. I got about half way in to earning my gift card and the app quit working. I had to uninstall and reinstall, but it wouldn’t accept my password. So I had to start over, so I chucked it up and started again to earn the pineapples. Finally I get to the reward, and it then asks for very sensitive info?? My full name address Drviers license number AND a picture of it, front and back. I go ahead and submit it. But get this—- it then asks for THREE selfies. I hesitantly attempt to acquiesce. Then the system abruptly starts over asking for my license Id and photo again. I continue in this perpetual loop. I contact customer service. I really had to dig to find an email address. Didn’t get my Gift CardI got recommended to use this app, and saw that it had worked for my sibling. So I thought why not give it a try. It worked awhile back for my sister. She went to her email, and boom, it was their. That may have been some time ago (I’m not to sure). When I got it and finally reached my goal for the gift card, I bought it, and didn’t end up getting. IDI really like this app because of the way it’s tying to teach finance to younger people especially if they didn’t get that much education on it in school. I only gave this app 2 stars though because it ask you for your ID (driver’s license, identity card, passport) which is not that safe throwing your information around on an app. And if you can’t earn money then what’s really the point of getting this app. In addition this app says it’s for 12+, teens are not going to have an ID card. I know it’s for safety purposes but someone hacking into your account and taking $5 is not a big deal. Zogo what happened to my giftcard?So i’ve been using this app for a couple weeks now, grinding pineapples every day in order to get gift cards. I have gotten a couple gift cards while using this app no problem. But when I’ve finally gained 20k pineapples by doing modules and referring family members they decided to cut me off from redeeming. I tried redeeming the 20 dollar apple gift card option but said it was “under review for suspicious activity.” I never hacked zogo or did anything to manipulate pineapples. When I contacted customer support they only send a automated message and never responded back. I’m also sure they locked my account for some odd reason because of this. Doesn’t give you giftcardsI would answer the questions after reading the modules and once I got to the amount of pineapples need for a gift card, I would purchase one. Unfortunately the only gift card that came was the first one for five dollars. The ones for 10 and 15 dollars I had to personally email the Zogo service and got the gift-cards after weeks of emails. Kicked me out and lost pointsI used to use this app and I got up to about 10k points and suddenly when I tried to log in, it kicked me out. It brought me to the login screen but when I entered in the same phone number I used to make my 1st account, it automatically created a new one where my points and modules were back at the start.
