NeuralCam:Bokeh & NightMode App Comments & Reviews

NeuralCam:Bokeh & NightMode Positive Reviews

Great creation, just needs some UX polishKudos to the people who created this — I really appreciate the technology and efforts that went into making this. I think the user experience could use some polish. First, after taking a picture, the entire app is blocked by a loading indicator that says “Processing” — perhaps this can be done in the background? At the very least, continuing to show the live viewfinder would be nice. Blocking the entire experience for 5+ seconds after every shot feels like a very choppy picture-taking experience. Second, as someone who doesn’t use Instagram, the dedicated button in the in-app gallery is just extra noise. It seems redundant given that there’s a share button right next to it (and maybe this could be changed to the generic iOS share icon, rather than a “reply” icon). Additionally, one thing that irks me is the extremely vague privacy policy. It’s very ambiguous and not clear what data of mine is being stored (which hopefully, is none). That being said, this really is a great app, congratulations to the creators of it!.Version: 1.2.3

IPhone Night Mode vs NeuralCamI originally purchased NeuralCam to use on the XS Max as I didn’t know if I wanted to get an 11 Pro yet. For the XS Max (and probably all other iPhones prior to the 11) this app is amazing! Having the ability to shoot night/dark setting photos without having to upgrade is great. However, I did wonder how this app stacked up to iPhones official night mode. Well I upgraded to an 11 Pro Max, and the results are very close. iPhones night mode is amazing, but NeuralCam holds its own. The big differences I was able to see is that neuralcam takes a little bit longer to focus and process the picture than iPhones night mode. The results are pretty much the same, except I can’t tell if Neuralcam’s results are just a smidge darker or if they’re adding this warm tone to the picture. Either way, it’s a great purchase if your not going to be upgrading to an 11 but want night mode shooting. But I’d say even with the iPhone 11 it’d be worth a purchase since it does let you do night mode shooting with the ultra wide lens, and iPhones night mode won’t let you do that yet..Version: 1.2.1

Just needs a few tweaksAfter using NeuralCam a bit longer and comparing it to other apps that are supposed to do low light photography, I decided to rewrite my review. My main complaint was that it tends to blow out certain lighter tones and highlights. That is still an issue, and at times it tends to give results with too much yellow, but the brightness has pretty much become my only real complaint. I can adjust the yellows afterward. If you could perhaps have the ability to use some exposure compensation I think this app would be near perfect. I am amazed at how clean the images are, virtually no noise and great detail. I compared to the vividHDR and LowLight + in ProCamera and there is absolutely no doubt how much better NeuralCam is in my mind. All I ask for really is to be able to tone down the brightness on the picture in general. I don’t think it needs just the highlights turned down because the balance seems great and would look odd if just the highlights were brought down. Anyway, love what the app can do and if it could be more consistent and less bright it would easily be one of the best apps on my phone. Make it capable of doing what it does in portrait mode and wow, that would really be something. Not regretting the purchase at all at this point and just hoping for a few tweaks to really dial it in. Would even be willing to pay for an upgrade that fixes the brightness issue..Version: 1.3

A okay camera app that make your phone close to those have night mode build-inI was looking for an app which can take night mode picture like other new phone does, and this app does the job (some/most of the time). here is my break down with side by side compare with the stock app which doesn’t have night mode: for good lighting condition, stock app take a better picture; for low light condition, this app use multi exposure to output a better shoot (brighter and more detail than the stock app); for dark (limit lighting) condition, this app doesn’t seem to use multi exposure, instead, it seems like take only one shoot and adjust the brightness only, and I compare to the shoot that I took in stock app (and manually adjust the brightness), the stock app somehow captured more detail than this app does. This app seems more like a modify version of HDR for some of the low light conditions rather than a night mode camera app. I will love to see the improvement of this app so I can keep using this app instead of consistently switch between with the stock app based on environment condition. Overall it’s a good app for only couple dollars..Version: 2.1.0

Updated reviewUpdated review: I’m happy this developer listened to their customer base. I was having trouble in the past with Tripod mode which is now fixed. The app is working better than I had expected. I was using another app that did extremely well for night shots, but without a tripod it was harder because we do t all have tripods with us everywhere we go. Now it’s working at my expectation and I am very pleased. It’s performing wonderfully now and I applaud the developer. Tripod mode was fixed since the update which I guess is good, though I don’t see a difference in my test shots. However is very disheartening to have paid money for an app just to have them add subscriptions after an update. When you pay for an app you expect to have access to all features included in updates, not suddenly have new features blocked because of an update that wants a subscription. I feel like I just threw my money away. Extremely disappointed! The non subscription portion of the app works fine but there’s no way I can in good conscience rate higher for this downright greedy/shady move towards subscriptions after having already paid money for the app. This app loses stars because of that. And unfortunately I will be deleting it..Version: 2.0

Absolutely worth $2.99This review will sound negative in the beginning but it isn’t, I am a fan of this app. I am sure there are dozens if not more camera apps that will allow a user to adjust the aperture, shutter speed and ISO of the iPhone camera. I probably have 3-4 on my phone right now. All of those apps make this app completely unnecessary. That said, I rarely want to take the time to do that on my iPhone. That is what I have an expensive DSLR for. So if I have apps that do what this app does and I have a DSLR that does what this app does, why do I really like this app? Cause it is simple and it works. I bought this app this morning and then my family and I visited 2 museums that did not allow flash photography. These weren’t pitch black museums but they needed a flash. It was so nice to open this app and take a picture and have the app work each and every time. And for me, what was impressive was that the light was very well balanced with no bright spots or over-dark shadows and the contrast had sufficient range as well. Now I admit I have not blown these up yet in Photoshop and examined them at 300% but if you want a low light app that will extend the range of your iPhone without you having to think or take a test shot or two, spend the $2.99, it is more than worth it..Version: 1.0.2

Great app for lowlight!I’ve been debating on exchanging my iPhone 8 for a Pixel just for the night site alone. For me this keeps me with my iPhone 8. My only complaints are I wish it exported at a higher resolution for the iPhone 8. Also some of the lighter objects in dark environments get blown out. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the lower resolution output, but I wish it was better optimized for the iPhone 8. I’ll look forward hopefully to improvements through future updates. Update: Thought it would be useless for my new iPhone 11, but works for both ultra wide and front camera. The regular camera is not quite as good as Apple Night Mode, but with constant updates, it has potential and I’m looking forward to it!.Version: 2.2.2

Great low-light! always improvingUPDATE: the latest version has been improved! my Xʀ still crashes on the highest resolution photo setting, but works just fine on lower ones. it used to crash all the time. impressive results too! looking forward to seeing where this app goes... OLD REVIEW (devs replied): app is barely useable, crashes each time i try to take a photo. yes, all permissions it asked for are given. i’m using an iPhone Xʀ if that helps you devs. also, for some reason there is a ( 1x ) button in the middle-bottom of the viewfinder, where the zoom button might be on multiple-lens phones (the Xʀ is obviously single-lens). when i press this ( 1x ) button, the app freezes for a second, then the button disappears.Version: 2.0.1

Too noisyI have just bought the app after praising reviews I read. I compared the pictures from my iPhone XS Max with this app’s camera. I was not expecting miracles, but the low light picture were clean and nice and much better than the iphone original camera. Though, I am really disappointed with the shutter noise, not only is just too load, but having the shutter sound is unnecessary since other phones take many picture in the background without such a noisy sound. I had to silence the phone to feel OK. I will continue to experiment with this app in the next few weeks. I would love to give it 5 stars for the picture quality, but the shutter sound makes it really hard to do so. I urge the developers to mute the shutter, or make it optional, or lower the volume a lot to make the app good for day to day use..Version: 1.2.1

Updated from 1 to 4 stars ( bug on iPhone regular cam looks like it was fixed)Trying to find my review from a few days ago, but unable to. My stock iPhone camera was not working after using this app - unless I rebooted phone. This terrible bug seems to be gone after this update. Thank you!! Also, it is not everyday when you see developers actually listen to their customers, at least in my experience. So A BIG THANK YOU for listening and removing the subscription feature and letting us all who paid for this app use these pro features. All the best!.Version: 2.0

Good app, developers fixed mistakeI’m extremely pleased the developers owned their mistake and realized it’s a bad idea to push a subscription on users of an existing paid app. While I have no problem paying for cool new features it would have been smarter to make them an optional 1 time in app purchase that prompts you once and then has an option to later purchase it in the settings menu or roll it out as a new app altogether. It was a bad idea to have an intrusive buy subscription button on the front page of a paid camera app but thankfully the developers realized their mistake and took the bold move necessary to make it right for their customers..Version: 2.0

ExcellentI Really enjoy this app for flower and food blog shots. Incredibly detailed focused and exciting photos come out easily. Nature shots are great and I only do some night shots. The new apple night Vision works , but this app adds much more detail brightness and additive processing improving on the original native photo a lot! I really want easy astrophotography, I tried to find the latest comet seen easiest by camera but very limited for eyesight only. This app did not help much. Can you Add some basic astrophotography needs such as how to integrate tripod with longer repeating image taking say just repeating what the app does already and adding later an hours worth?add histogram and filters for city lights, the hardest thing is to photo the moon with city lights, perhaps iPhones will never be able to do so? And this app really shines with golden hour portraits and nature photos, super improvement over stock apple camera app! Super thanks! I use this app daily and alternate with apple camera app to see which one is better!.Version: 3.0.0

Amazing! Hold onto your X/XS!This is such an amazing app. I first saw pixel ads on tv showing off the night camera mode. Then I wondered what Apple’s response was. No software update to the XS. New phone, 11 comes out. Maybe they’ll backport the new night shot to the XS? Nope. That was literally the only thing I desired about the 11. My XS is running great, battery health at 98%, and most importantly, it’s not paid off yet! After research I found many reviews about this and bought it. Easily the best three bucks spent. I’m floored at how well it makes vibrant night shots so sharp WITHOUT a tripod! Mind = Blown. Of course a tripod or just setting the phone on a shelf makes it better. Thanks, to the developer, who has just made my XS Max just as awesome and modern as the 11. P.S. Developer, when my phone is locked in portrait orientation (which is 99% of the time for me) the image is saved 90 degrees off, like it isn’t accounting for the rotation of the phone. The built in iPhone camera app saves the photo fine regardless of the orientation lock setting..Version: 1.3

Works great and support responded immediatelyBeen really impressed with the results so far. Side by side pics of this vs artificially blowing things out in post process shows that you can definitely get much better results using NeuralCam. I emailed asking for more clarification on the privacy statement and was assured that everything is done locally and that they don’t store images on their side. I’ve been watching the data used under Settings / Cellular / Cellular Data and this confirmed that images were being stored and handled locally only. I really appreciated the quick response from them..Version: 1.0.2

Good app, just needs one more thingThe auto brightening on the app now is mostly broken, it overexposes most daylight pictures so they look blown out and unrealistic. Could you please make it so that when you select to disable the auto brightening feature, that option persists even if you close the app and reopen it? Gets really annoying having to turn the feature off every time you start the app if it’s been closed since the last time you used it. With auto brightening off, photos are excellent..Version: 5.0.5

Great app for taking pictures in dark areas.I really like this app. It does a great job. It was too noisy with a shutter sound previously but the developer took care of that. I used it at the Holocaust museum and other places. It worked great. The noise was the only problem. It seems to be fixed. So I highly recommend this app. It does a terrific job of taking photos in dark places. You do need to hold the camera steady. The developer did a great job of fixing the problem. I originally gave it a one star. It was fixed in a very short timeframe. Five stars to you. Good job..Version: 1.2.3

Good app. Developer professional and responsive.Developer listened to feedback on bad addition of charging subscription for a camera app. This is a great app for a ONE-TIME purchase that will take excellent night time photos that far exceed the default camera app. You just have to wait 4-5 sec for processing to complete and have a steady hold on the camera. If the developer seeks to monetize the app more, then in-app purchases for filters, cloud storage, etc. are more likely to be acceptable than a subscription for existing features..Version: 2.0

Great but crappy dynamic rangeIt’s one of the first app that I bought on appstore . First I used to use it on an iPhone 7 and now using it on iPhone x. I love it . But just this little thing which makes it not usable. The dynamic range is very bad . Whenever it gets even a tiny light source it just blows things out. Please fix it. It just one step closer to be the perfect nightmode. Also a tip : recently google released their camera techs as far as I know. They have one of the best camera app in the industry. You might find that useful and implement it on this camera app. Good regards.Version: 3.0.3

It keeps crashingSeems like a good app when it works, produces good results at night when it isn’t crashing. Crashed 7 times after collecting its photos and started the analysis phase, crash! Each time. Cleared the app out, same problem. Restarted my phone, got a photo, next time, crash! Re downloaded the app, got a couple of photos and started the crash cycle all over. If they can address this problem, I will reevaluate the app. Until then, it’s basically worthless..Version: 2.0.2

Latest Update Removes FeaturesWhen I first purchased this app, I paid $5 to have features that the regular camera app did not have. Now those features are locked away under a subscription model. This is a bait and switch plain and simple. UPDATED REVIEW: The developer listened to the negative reviews and decided to go back to the way the app used to be. The features I paid for initially are no longer stuck behind a subscription and are now part of the base app. I appreciate their willingness to listen to their users. Back to normal!.Version: 2.0.1

Last update made me uninstall the appI had already paid in order to download and use the app and all of its full features. After the latest update I’m forced to start a subscription in order to keep using the features I already had before. I do not understand why do I have pay again AND keep paying monthly/yearly AFTER I had already purchased the full app. Sorry, uninstalled. Update: Developers listened to its users and removed the subscription model. Thank you, I reinstalled the app and changed the review..Version: 2.0.1

Great app - thanks for listening[Update] A great night camera app that allows any phone to take low light photos. While the makers briefly added a subscription on top of the initial paid price, they have since removed it from listening to the negative feedback. As long as this app stays at a one time payment price, I cannot recommend it more. However, there are many bugs that have introduced with the new update (zooming in on pics, app crashing, not exporting, etc.), I’m sure these will be gone soon though..Version: 2.0

Same iPhone, Better ResultsUsing on an iPhone XS. Low light pictures look absolutely stunning 8/10 times using this app! 100% worth the entry fee. Even with portrait shots with slightly moving subjects, it looks terrific! The only thing I wish I could do is defer the processing so I don’t miss a moment, but I understand if that is not technically possible. The UX has improved significantly since the first time I used the app, and am hoping for a few more surprises in the future in that area. Thanks devs for a great app!.Version: 1.2.1

Up to the Hype. This is a Homescreen App.After extensive use, I’m here to say, yes, this is it. This is what you want and it hasn’t existed up till now. Unless you have a TON of light in your scene, you’re gonna want to use this app every time. Can be used no matter how dark it is—if there’s a little light you might still get a cool shot. The results are in most cases not improvable by post processing. It’s that good. Even a well lit indoor scene is improved by this app. Outdoors in the sun you don’t need it but that’s about it. This is serious..Version: 1.3

Expecting some extra featureI loved the app especially how it holds such low light conditions with great efficiency. I expect some major improvement though. Like controlling the camera app manually by adding iso , white balance , exposure and all those stuffs and the mode we are already using would be added there as auto night mode feature. With this added stuffs , I believe this app would be in the top 5 paid apps in apple store . Looking forward for such features ..Version: 1.2.1

Reviewed in low light areasI have an iPhone 7Plus and this app truly does work very well in low light areas. The price is perfect at 2.99. The camera has no real settings so if you like to customize the camera app this may not be the app for you. The only settings there are is if you want to manually or automatically focus. But it does give you an option to share directly to your Instagram and it saves automatically to your camera roll..Version: 1.0

Great photo app for capturing detail.I was very impressed with this app. Purchasing was a no-brainer. The value added to night images on my iPhone 7, and iPhone SE gen 2, would have been worth the price. Turns out that forcing 4, 8, or 12 exposures makes every image exquisite regardless the amount of light available. I now use this app any time that I want to ensure I capture as much detail as possible..Version: 4.1.1

Great AppI have an 8+ and have used quite a few low light apps and IMHO this is the best. I’m looking forward to any updates that can improve upon this, particularly with contrast. Thanks to the developers for their hard work. I’ve been on the latest update and have not seen the tripod icon..is there a way to access the long exposure mode? I’ve tried in dark conditions and no tripod icon yet ... thanks for any assistance.Version: 1.3

Developer Listened to FeedbackI am VERY happy to see that the developer reversed the decision to go to a subscription model. Instantly back to five stars, and I would be more than willing to pay for individual “DLC” features if more are developed. (Without taking any away from the base app of course) Dev- I hope you read this, and sincerely thank you for listening to your customers. This app is great..Version: 2.0

NeuralCam is Awesome!App does a great job in low-light situations, adding vibrant color and an “HDR” effect. It all depends on the subject though. Made an early-morning sunrise look vibrant and beautiful! I’ve found no (iPhone) app that can take a suitable photo of a bright moon. NeuralCam is lots of fun just snapping photos of objects in low-light/almost-dark situations and seeing what it can do. Absolutely worth the small purchase price and highly recommended!.Version: 1.0.2

Nice app!I have an iPhone 11, and the upgrade on the iPhone camera in regards to a night camera lessen the value of NeuralCam for me in general. If I still had my older phone, this would be a game changer! However, it does allow me to take night cam selfies, which iPhone 11 does not do on its own. One thing I really wish you had included in the update was a pinch to zoom option!!.Version: 2.0

Used to be betterThis app used to be amazing. My iPhone XS and SE 2020 got great night mode photos out of this app, but then they updated it and the app crashes if a scene is actually dark enough to need the app. I have no idea how to fix it and uninstalling does not help. They locked a lot of features behind a paywall too, like upscaling, and the app costs money to begin with. It’s sad to see a good thing go down like this. I hope they fix it..Version: 5.0.5

Very DisappointedI love this app. I have taken photos at dusk when I could barely see yet the photos look like they were taken in daytime. I’m ecstatic to see this app offer a pro version but it’s so bittersweet since it will cost $40 a year every year. I don’t know why a developer can’t show some morality and sell the app, with all its bells and whistles, for a final set price — like Mac apps..Version: 1.4

11 MAX Pro SharperDid a comparison in exactly the same area and subject. While NeuralCam provided a brighter image as did the 11 Pro’s built in night feature the sharpness was not as good as the built in low light feature on the 11 MAX Pro. For other iPhone versions this app will help. The 11 MAX Pro except for not having low light wide angle feature will do a better job...sorry just telling it like it is..Version: 1.2.3

Excellent app for night photography!Tried a few free apps and it always fell short. This one however came through pretty darn awesomely! I bought this app specifically to take pics of light art at night and they came out better than I expected from a non dslr. Blown away!.Version: 2.0.2

It’s An Okay Camera App.I have been using Neuralcam next to the iPhone 11 Pro Max camera app and I have to say I have much better results with the stock app from Apple and especially in low light. Not sure if I’m missing a feature on Neuralcam but from the results I’m getting, the Apple camera app is taking much better pictures in low light. I wish I could share the pics I just took to show the difference. It’s drastic. The Apple camera app wins with my usage..Version: 1.1.1

ImpressiveTook a few pics with each in a darker location. Compared to the Camera app the NeuralCam images were significantly better. Even after processing the Camera images in Photoshop the images from NeuralCam were better, especially in the darker locations. I’ll certainly be using NeuralCam in low light situations..Version: 1.0

The noise :(Man I was having really high hopes for this app. Ever since I saw what the iPhone 11 could do for night images, I thought this app would do justice. I was impressed with how much the image was lit up, but the detail behind it was too noisy. I was not expecting that at all. Maybe it’s because I have a 7 plus but still. The other guy with the 7+ who wrote a review making it seem that the images would be great. I guess I really do need to get the 11.Version: 1.1.1

LOVE the version 2 update! As an XS owner I was feeling a little left out with all iPhone 11 apps as if I had an ancient phone LOL. Thanks for being so inclusive with your latest update. I’ve truly enjoyed this app and appreciate the hard work and thought creating a quality tool for catching priceless moments..Version: 2.0

Well worth the money!I was thinking about updating my iPhone 7 to a newer model to get low light ability with the camera, I downloaded this app after reading a review of the new iPhone SE and the reviewer talking about this app. What a huge difference this made, I can make photos in darkened rooms without the flash!.Version: 2.2.2

Give us more manual optionsOther than the focus settings please give us the option for shutter speed as we have to hold the phone very very still for shots and sometimes id like to sacrifice some light for a sharper less blurry image and a quicker photo time. Otherwise fantastic app, I just thought there was more settings to it.Version: 1.1.1

Awesome low light performanceApple forcing you to buy the newest iPhone just to get better low light pictures is ridiculous. This app extended the life of my XS and provides a feature that apple should have rolled out to all of its customers...not just the ones who buy a new phone every year..Version: 1.1

Almost perfect…I bought the entire app with the upscaling feature. I’m pretty satisfied with the app but it’s pretty annoying when the photo is processing because I can’t take another photo until it’s done. I also wish i had the ability to take pictures in proraw. Another feature I would like to get in the future is to be able to take long exposure shots without a tripod using AI, similar to the spectre app..Version: 5.0.5

Unique Feature,Incredible improvement to the picture quality through each version update; easy to use; great results at each try; the photo viewer and the 5 « styles » to choose from post capture need work, the functionality is not evident and the auto save feature doesn’t save after changing style, since the change is destructive I understand you have to save, the save image option however is half hidden in the share sheet. Finally the usefulness of the photo viewer is questionable it would be nice to save the neural info into a pseudo-raw format which would allow some flexibility in post-production; i’m thinking of a preliminary first step where the number of shots can be changed and the exposure compensation as well..Version: 3.0.2

Impressive for the price!I am quite satisfied with my purchase. It is taking surprisingly good pictures in bad lighting. Of course it is not equivalent to the best of iPhones night mode, but it is the thing that is coming the closest of a night mode on the iphone se 2020.Version: 4.0.3

Glitchy on iphone 8Please fix this. I love the quality but it glitches everytime i take pictures at night. This app cost me so please make it worth buying.Version: 4.0.3

Great AppTakes good advantage of the A13 chip inside the iPhone SE (2020), I think a lot of you are very much expecting way more than what you should, if you’re a “pro” then why are you even using this app? Get a real camera with something that’s dedicated to taking night photos, if you take casual photos every now and then at night time, this will do the job just fine.. we’re not all pros and that’s not what this app is for anyways either.. so just chill with your 1 star reviews, this app is solid enough..Version: 3.0.3

Fantastic appThis is the best app I bought. Change my iPhone 10 to 12..Version: 3.0.3

Bug reportSeems like lately the app has been crashing every time it tries to capture a night image..Version: 2.2.1

Best low light appTried a few different low light apps, this is hands down the best of them. Auto settings work great in most situations. Manual settings let’s you fine tune for best results..Version: 2.2.2

Amazing camera, cool devs!I almost never write reviews but devs reverting subscription needs to be rewarded! Awesome dark mode..Version: 2.2.1

All features are back! The devs have removed the subscription and brought all features back. I understand they want to make money, but taking away features wasn’t the right move. Restoring my 5 star review..Version: 2.0

Turns iPhone 6S to an iPhone 11Wish it would do selfies on iPhone 6s (is the 6s such a different phone? I’d love to learn more about why it doesn’t work on this model) But the photos it does take look great! Not just night time photos either. The pictures are almost identical to the photos on my wife’s iPhone 11 and are head and shoulders nicer than from the native iPhone 6s camera app. I guess this shows that it’s in fact Apple’s software that’s keeping photo quality down on the older phones and not so much the hardware. Even photos taken on an iPhone 6 with this app look like they could have been taken with a modern iPhone. Night shots don’t look quite like iPhone 11 night shots - they are sometimes worse, sometimes better. Great artsy look to them in general. Well worth the price of the app. The downside is that it can’t totally replace the native app - it can’t take videos for example, you need to keep the phone steady for a while and you need to wait for each photo to be processed which can be several seconds. No panoramas, Live Photo’s etc. But solid photos! Recommended..Version: 2.1.0

Better than Native Night ModeI never thought Apple’s native night mode on the iPhone 11 series can be beaten by a third party App. This one proved me wrong. Simply put, Neural Cam takes brighter, less noisy, more detailed photos than the native night mode. Not to mention the benefit that you can take night shots on the front camera and the ultra wide camera too. The greatest surprise has to be that object movement and camera shake are automatically detected by Neural Cam and won’t affect the output photo. You don’t see that on any other third party App..Version: 2.0.1

Difference is (literally) night and dayDoes exactly what it’s designed to do, and - for the most part - does it very well. Have not personally tried other company’s offerings of “night sight”, but the results I’ve been getting from this app have been phenomenal. My only gripe would be the amount of time it requires to “set the exposure” in certain conditions, such as concerts with many lighting effects. This makes it hard to take pictures “in the moment” of things, as you have to wait until the app’s exposure is acclimated before taking the shot..Version: 1.1.3

AwesomeRunning it on iPhone XR and compared this to an iPhone 11 Pro Max in very dark environment. The 11 pro max wins on speed of shutter and processing and it turned out just a little crisper but otherwise almost the the same. I would say 90% as good. The results are really impressive!.Version: 1.3

Fantastic. Just what I was looking for.Worth every penny - resultant images are awesome. Only gripe is the viewfinder lag but I can easily ignore this..Version: 1.2.3

Impressive, but needs some more workPretty fantastic app, especially for the selfie and ultra wide night mode features in the 11 series. However, I find the Ultrawide night mode to be...lacking. Details and brightness aren’t very grea,t, but that could be due to hardware limitations rather than the app. Perhaps if the devs manage to improve this...somehow, it would bump the rating up. Another criticism I have is that the app in general is a little buggy. Entering my photo I had just taken and zooming in causes it to enlarge itself and offset off the side of my phone. The picture will then refuse to reorient itself and I have to close the picture and just open it in the stock photos app. All in all, pretty impressed that the developers managed to make a night mode app for older phone models and even managed to get night mode to work on all cameras for the 11 series. Hopefully over time, improvements will be made for better details and brightness for the Ultrawide and Selfie cameras..Version: 1.2.1

It gets the job doneIt’s get the job done, you get your bright and crisp photo even in low light condition. Why only complaint for now os the processing time i wish it was faster than it is but as for the photo quality its perfect. I wish they would include a flash option in the app thanks.Version: 1.1.3

Rivals “NightSight” Feature 😃I purchased this application a couple of weeks ago on the App Store for my iPhone X and I’m very happy with my purchase. I think it was well worth the 3.99 asking price it really improves nighttime photography. I have submitted some photos to them, to demonstrate the apps capabilities. when I purchased the app I wasn’t expecting much but the results were amazing in my opinion. The updates I’ve received for the app so far have only made it even better to use. I only hope that they can add video capturing capabilities in the future to this app for nighttime videography. I normally never bother leaving reviews for apps but I felt this app was so good it was worth an honest review from a regular Joe..Version: 1.1.3

Very good app, could be betterVery good app, however if there was a timer function, it would be amazing. That way I could stabilize my phone on a mini tripod and activate the shutter without having to touch the phone at all. Apple earphones and 3rd party bluetooth shutters work as a shutter with the native camera app but not with Neuralcam. Timer or remote shutter support is a must for this type of photography. If the developers add this, the app will deserve 5 stars..Version: 1.1.1

Definitely helps low lightIt is what it is, limited by apple’s near-sighted sensor capabilities ‘til the xs family. I’m using an XS max and shots do come out better than stock, infact miles ahead, with that being said as a standard app it does saturate a little more and blows the highlights up. I use this and also go with another app with manual controls. This does have potential but the image processing does need more polishing..Version: 1.1.1

Excellent night shotsHave really enjoyed using this app. It overblows the highlights on just about every shot that has lights in it; hoping they fix this in an update. But makes for some fantastic night shots that you can’t get using the default camera app..Version: 1.1

NiceDefinitely worth a few bucks.Version: 1.0.2

Saves at low resolution.Would have been nice to know that it wouldn’t save at full resolution on my 8 Plus before I spent the money. 1920x1440, not even 3 megapixels. Edit to add: My bad for not reading here closely enough. I had read an article about this app at Digital Photography Review before searching for it at the App Store, assuming the article was thorough enough..Version: 1.0
