Alti-Barometer uses your iPhone’s or Watch’s air pressure sensor to track your altitude and weather-related barometric pressure changes.

Alti-Barometer also supports all Watch complication styles as well as iOS widgets to keep you up to date with altitude and barometric pressure trends at a glance.

Alti-Barometer includes a configurable Storm Alarm to notify you of large changes in barometric pressure. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the app’s climb and descent logs as well as real-time vertical speed and altitude trend reporting.

The app also provides full CSV-compatible data export and import so you can save a record of a hike, climb, or that big storm, and view and analyze saved data any time.

We developed Alti-Barometer for one simple reason: we missed the altitude/barometer functionality of our dedicated ABC (altimeter/barometer/compass) watches. We couldn’t find an iPhone or Watch app that even came close, and we decided to create something even better!

Great app for skiing and just walking aroundI first downloaded this app from my NYC office and just played with it going up and down city elevators. Just recently I finally got to use the app while skiing. I love being able to track my change in altitude as i go up the chairlifts and down the slopes at different rates. While my other cellular enabled app cut out when I ventured out of reach of cell towers this app kept going. I didn’t get a storm alert while on the mountain but it’s comforting to know that I would be alerted about incoming storms even when out of cell range. This app will come in handy in the summer as our family enjoys hiking and camping far away from cell service..Seamusmon7Version: 1.01

Works great when you’re off the grid (no phone needed)Went camping and wore my Apple Watch with this app on it. Even though we had no cell service, the app alerted me with the “storm alarm” feature that the weather was rapidly changing. We headed back to the cabin just in time to miss a deluge of rain!
