Nomi | a pet for your watch Positive Reviews

Excellent Watch app!Quick update: one thing I would love is if the hearts you earn saved up - right now, you have to remember to feed your Nomi when the heart ring is full, which can mean pausing in your workout. If you forget to do this, you could go through an entire workout and have burned enough calories for two or three hearts, but you still only get one. This app is adorable, fun, and motivates me to stay active throughout the day. The Tamagotchi-like critter is so cute, and I hate seeing it sadface, so I want to stay active to be able to keep feeding it. When I first got the app the only way to get hearts to feed the critter was using steps, which was pretty difficult with the current ‘stay at home’ restrictions (even though I’ve been exercising daily, my step count is terrible). However, the developer was very understanding and responsive, and quickly released an update allowing you to use calories instead. I love the app and really the only thing I can think of to improve it at this point would be to make it actually possible to pet the critter. (If it’s happy, you can tap it and it does a little happy nudge type movement, but you can’t give it scritches.) I’m not sure how feasible this is for a cute little watch app (don’t know how hard it would be to make it that interactive or whether the watch can even support such a thing), but it would be cute. TL;DR, if you’re a sucker for cute critters to motivate you to exercise, GET THIS APP!.Version: 1.13

Fun electronic palUpdate: glitch happened twice yesterday. RIP Timothy IV - 84 days old. Update: malfunction is happening even with the update on my watch. I’ve lost at least 7 extra hearts due to this glitch. Update: I manually forced an update on my watch and, fingers crossed, the quick boogie malfunction hasn’t happened yet. I’ve played four times and earned four hearts. Update: quick boogie is still malfunctioning. My heart rate averaged 150 during the entire 11 minutes and it still told me I lost. Update: played the quick boogie, I was on a rowing machine and my heart rate was well-above the target the ENTIRE time but it did not record it. So I quit halfway through and started over. It happened again. I did the whole thing this time, hoping that maybe the bar just wasn’t filling in, since there was a check mark in the bottom corner each minute. It still told me I lost and did not give me a heart. Hopefully my pet doesn’t die tomorrow when I know I’ll be unable to exercise. My nomi, Timothy IV (RIP Timothy Sr, Timothy Jr, and Timothy the third) is fun. It keeps me accountable because I really don’t want him to die. Those tears get me. Lol. It’s a lot less glitchy since I got a new watch..Version: 1.13

I love it but it needs some workI absolutely love Nomi, but it could use some more features for flexibility. I have chronic illness that makes my “best” less than other peoples’ “best”. Even on casual, it’s been really hard to keep my Nomi alive. I think the solution to this is allowing people to set custom energy/step goals. Of course it would allow people to “cheat,” but who cares? It’s not a competition sport, they’d only be “cheating” themselves. A tool for our own betterment needs to be flexible to our personal goals. No one can set a goal that everyone can meet. Other changes that would help are giving Nomi more total hearts to allow some buffer time if we forget our watches somewhere (I left my watch at work overnight and my Nomi was dead the next morning despite being fully fed, I was very upset because I managed to keep that little guy alive for 74 days despite the difficulty!) or if we’re sick that day and can’t exercise much. To that end, I agree with other commenters that a “pause”. Feature would be nice. I also really think increasing the sleep time from 6 hours to 8 would help. I mean, who only sleeps 6 hours? I sleep 10 hours and my Nomi is always nearly dead by the time I get up. The average person sleeps 8 hours so I think it makes more sense. Or allow us to set custom sleep and wake times. Again, love the concept and the artwork is really cute, but it really needs these changes to become more functional and less of a source of stress..Version: 1.13

Cute little buddy, stay active so they don’t die! :)I’ve kept my Nomi alive for 95 days and counting - it has definitely motivated me to walk throughout the day or be active when I don’t quite have the motivation. Overall, well worth the minimal cost because it’s cute and fun. Love that there are continual updates and it keeps getting better. Suggestions for the developer: is there a way to show time left before a heart gets empty? Or a reminder like “one hour left before Nomi dies” 🤣I would love to interact with it more somehow or would love if it read my exercise minutes to earn a heart for the “game” without having to start the exercise on the app. It really screws up my workout tracking / data to only set it for the 7-9 min at a time. Like if I could start a run and at the end, Nomi would tell me I earned 2 hearts worth based on HR during the run. Update: I’m now on my 3rd Nomi and they’re just so cute and motivating. Sadly, the last one died at 147 days and I didn’t get the “one hour left” notification - I think because I was asleep and watch was set to Apples new do-not-disturb sleep setting. Excited for the new evolution paths now with my newest Nomi!! Love the updates, great job!! Can’t wait to find some friends!.Version: 1.12

Fun app but….I’m 71 and was a couch potato so when I got my Nomi I was loving that it was getting me up and moving. I just walk to earn hearts to feed her though. I’m now up to 2500 steps to feed her but my goodness, she has to eat about 4 times to keep her happy! And I’m only on the 4th level. I know if the steps keep increasing 500 steps at every level, I’m not going to be able to keep it alive which makes me sad. Seems like I’m already walking so much I don’t have time for a life! Can’t you make a way to level off for us seniors? Maybe a different setting for seniors? Also, it runs several minutes behind on syncing the steps and doesn’t let you know when you have enough to feed it so you don’t know when you have filled the heart without pausing your workout to wait for it to catch up or you walk more than it takes but you don’t get credit for it. If you walk over the amount to fill, it should count towards your next heart. I don’t want my Nomi to die ! Help please!.Version: 1.13

A great watch pet app with high potentialThis is a fun little watch pet that brings back great memories of childhood tamagotchi days. The concept is superb to move around to feed Nomi as well as keeping the watch owner active and healthy. I left 4/5 stars as the highly interactive creator who responds very frequently has room to make this even better. More engaging interactions with Nomi would be so much fun such as bathing/cleaning and “flushing” if you will, after Nomi goes to the bathroom, especially when young. Watering Nomi as well as having a “medicine” option when Nomi gets sick. The hearts can count for feeding Nomi so that’s fine. Petting and being interactive with Nomi could fill a “cared for” type of gage. Lastly fun games we could play with Nomi itself, not just exercise could be fun. It new and I’m sure it’s complicated and takes time to add these types of interactions but none the less, it’s a great pet app and great visuals that bring back those nostalgic memories..Version: 1.10

A great little app, perfect for the watchThis is the perfect kind of app for the Apple Watch. Simple, fun, and motivational, playing to the strengths of the platform. Very appealing visuals and a clever concept; staying healthy yourself keeps your little buddy alive too. This isn’t the kind of thing that needs many features - the beauty is in its simplicity, and the very reasonable price reflects that - but further integration with the health app in some way (heart rate/exercise tracking) would be nice right now during these quarantine times when we’re still trying to exercise but can’t get those steps in. I also second other users ideas about a tiny bit more interactivity; everyone who plays this is going to instinctively try to poke/pet the little guy, and that tiny bit of extra interaction would go a long way. Overall, great app and I hope the developer continues to support it because it fills the perfect niche on the watch..Version: 1.6

Great fun but it feels like its trying to kill itselfThe app is great for the most part the animations are super cute but there are a couple things I have a problem with. the first is that it sleeps less than the recommended amount a person should be getting so in the morning my pet is already starving itself and probably has been for 2 or so hours. My second problem is in the step counting I dont fully know how the apple watch measures but I feel like the refresh in the app is very slow mine was stuck at 999 for 10 or so minutes while my pet was at 25% of one heart and I was worried that it would die before the app counted the 3 flights of stairs I had climbed post 999steps. the concept is great but I do hope that these small things will be polished..Version: 1.9

Love the updates!Revising my review after I stopped using Nomi for awhile and gave it another try after the latest update. We asked and they listened! Nomi is better than ever :). The new features are great and syncing seems faster and more accurate as well. Original Review (3 star): Love this little guy as it’s been keeping me motivated to stay active during quarantine. I’ve used it everyday but have become increasingly frustrated by the inaccuracies of the activity to heart ratio. I’m walking well over 5k steps a day but my Nomi is sad and starving by the end of the day. The developer has stated on Reddit that the steps increase each day, making it more challenging to keep your Nomi alive. Great but I’d like to be able to control this myself as there might be times I can’t meet a goal because of injury, illness, etc. Hopefully the next update will address these issues..Version: 1.6

Update Ideas For DevelopersI really enjoy this app a lot! I think it’s really helping me loose weight and get motivation. I have a few ideas that would be awesome for updates. -Feed friends or give their pets sushi rolls when hearts are low. -Nudge friends to let them know their pets hearts are low. -costumes you can earn by getting points -send messages to friends through app -mobile app added for bonus features -New games -more evolutions -better push notifications -special fruits that will keep hearts full for an entire day in case you want a day off to relax “unlocked through games” -fairy fruit that will save your pet from dying “unlocked through games also have your Nomi hang with a friend for the day to babysit and friend gets bonus items for taking care of your nomi”.Version: 1.13

Fun Watch AppI find this app to be fun. There are a few things I would like to mention though. You can only have one heart saved. If you workout for miles and forget to give a heart during, you only earned one heart. Also, it doesn't update live. You have to go into the Activity app, and then back to Nomi to update it. I'm not sure what the refresh interval is. Also, Nomi should sleep when the watch is off. I woke up to an almost dead Nomi often. (I saw an update coming from a review response for this! Thank you!) Edit: I like the notifications in the new update. This is a solution to only getting one heart during my walks and forgetting to check and feed him during. Thanks! Nomi now sleeps for six hours in the new update. Thanks! Also, I’m not a fan of the Complication icons, the middle or the corner. I would like the full body, but small of course. I don’t like the zoomed in face. It also looks low quality at certain phases. Also, I would like it to have a bar for the Infograph Watch Face. Like the Rain one, with a number of hearts, and have the bar be one third for each heart. One more thing. I’m trying out Active Energy. After evolving, the icon for steps increase, instead of calories..Version: 1.7

Love it😍 But…..I think 🤔 the concept is excellent and keeps people accountable for their own progress in how they manage to keep the pet alive daily. My one issue is that if I have done the work/workout throughout the day and filled up the heart(s) why can Nomi not feed himself? This is me moving all day everyday in my life with my watch on, but I really don’t have the time to tickle and watch him do tricks just to eat the heart. My day does not stop because he is hungry or has a heart waiting for me to tap for him to eat. This is something that your team needs to look into especially when life gets really hectic. I’m apart of an Apple Fitness Group & that is the General consensus with many; We are doing workouts, taking care of family, self-care, working just to have this thing Die because of the tap of the screen. 👎🏽.Version: 1.13

It's Awesome! Wish it had more animations. It's Like the old school tomigochi pets, it's like having a Pokémon or Digimon on your wrist that forces you to think about working-out or else your little buddy dies. And you get to a point where you really don't want your little Nomi to die. I love it! My hopes is that they come up with more animations, like when you pet Nomi it does the same cute shimmy, but that gets old after a few times of doing it. It would be nice to see more interactive animations. Maybe having Nomi do tricks like a flip or rollover or somehow teaching Nomi something new. And perhaps there can be other forms of workouts that help feed Nomi as well. If those things can be added, this app would be such a fun interactive piece that I wouldn't want to live without..Version: 1.11

Heart bankI ADORE my little buddy and my kids actually ask to borrow my watch to feed my watch pet. I just wish there was a way to bank the hearts when I've filled them and it's not hungry or to turn 3-5 hearts earned into a snack. Like if I go the day and don't get a chance to feed the little dude but have earned 5-10 hearts from working all day long I shouldn't only have one heart to feed them once I can or if I've forgotten my watch for a day but had earned 10 hearts the day before I should have a snack or two banked from the excess the day before. It almost feels like getting punished for not being an athlete or taking a day to rest..Version: 1.13

Very cute! This is a darling app, reminiscent of a Tamagotchi. You take steps to keep your nomi alive. I appreciate that the devs have temporarily decreased the number of steps needed due to many people being home to practice social distancing right now. There’s even a complication for your watch face! And... this app is NOT subscription based! Two feature requests for devs: -I do a lot of indoor cycling (especially now with the pandemic), which is an activity that doesn’t generate steps. It would be cool to somehow get credit for those workouts toward hearts (maybe through calculating the calorie equivalence or something?) -I’d love a complication that could go in the corner of the watch face!.Version: 1.5

Love this app so much but a few questionsI’ve been using this for about 2-3 weeks and can’t stop playing it. I have a few questions though how long does a single heart last roughly as sometimes I really have no clue how long I have with one heart. My second question would be while using the sushi you win from game modes do those count as feeding your pet which changes your average amount of feeding every day or do that not count at all as feeding and just fill a heart. Other then those questions I can’t get enough of this app looking forward to new updates and maybe new game modes possibly.Version: 1.13

More features pleaseI am on day five which means I just got my first evolution! One thing off the bat I’m not a fan of is that I have NO idea what any of the evolution paths look like so I had to guess which path I wanted to go down. Can there please be an image released of what they all look like so I can figure out if I want to feed my nomi 3,4, or 5 times a day. Also, the app is cool, but it’s a $2 app and there isn’t enough to do, in my opinion. I cannot customize how my nomi looks, I cannot play any games with him (games are basically just exercise challenges to get hearts to feed your nomi, you don’t actually play WITH your nomi. It leads me to ask, why do I care about this creature or calling it mine if I can’t even do anything with it?.Version: 1.13

Great app and meaningful updatesI downloaded this app when I saw it on Reddit and love it so far. The app developer is quick to respond with any issues experienced. The only issue I having to open the app to feed the heart while exercising. When I go out for my runs I have to pause and feed it. I wish there was a way to auto feed. This is really my only complaint and it’s not enough of a hassle for me to take away a star for the rating. I just saw that there were some updates for calories instead of steps which is great since I do a lot of biking and that is not counted. I just wish I could change that on my current nomi..Version: 1.6

Super Cute and Motivational.I really enjoy the little Nomi. It keeps me motivated and reminds me to move, which is especially important during quarantine. It also fun for kids! My son loves to “pet” Nomi and feed it. My only issue is that my first Nomi just died today....while I was sleeping, not wearing my watch. I didn’t even know that was possible. I kept it alive for 32 days and then I woke up to find it dead. Super disappointing!! I think it should pause it’s feeding cycle while on a charger. Also, what happens if I get sick or have an injury? Does it just die? I guess so. It would be nice if there were an option to put Nomi in hibernation, or something like that. But really, overall it is cute and motivational..Version: 1.6

Very motivatingI love this app!!! It’s very motivating yet disappointing at the same time, motivating because I don’t want it to die and it’s crying face makes me feel awful so I keep up with it but I’ve had it for 28 days now and after 20 days it became this cute little monster with 4 feet then after 25 days it updated again and became the same exact thing just with a flipped ear. I wish my progress would reflect more. Negative aspects: 1.There’s a bit of a lag where it doesn’t count the same amount of steps as my step counter.. 2.Does not evolve into anything very different 3.Every time I do the extra goals to get sushi it does not count it or let me earn the sushi. 4.You cannot save hearts for later.Version: 1.13

Loooove my little guyI absolutely love this. I’m on the sixth or seventh evolution (maybe more, honestly lost track, lol) and watching him grow has been so cute. I lost the first two I had before they updated the app and let the little guy sleep. Every time I reach a new evolution, he requires more energy. This is fine, but I’m hoping that it’ll start maxing out soon. It’s getting hard to keep up and I don’t want him to die! Anyways. If you like little electronic pets and need some motivation to get moving, this guy is adorable. He’s got a complication that changes as he gets hungry so you can always tell when it’s time to feed him!.Version: 1.9

Family Sharing NOT supportedEven though they say up to 6 people can use this app with family share that is a lie. This app does not show up for anyone under purchases including the person who purchased it. Also DO NOT gift this app to anyone! They have to use something other than an Apple Watch to redeem the gift and app WILL NOT show under their purchases on Apple Watch. Over all the app is fun and that’s why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Just wish they would be honest with their advertising of family sharing..Version: 1.13

Fun cute app, but there are a few issuesI love my Nomi and I love feeding it but there are some issues that I would love if they were resolved. The first issue I have is that my steps don’t stack. So if 1,000 steps get me one heart to feed Nomi, I might get busy with my kids and cleaning and get 2,500 steps. The issue is that I can only feed my Nomi one heart instead of two. I would love if I could gather multiple hearts before feeding my Nomi for when I get really busy. It is a little disheartening when I get 3,000 steps, remember to feed Nomi and I can only give it one heart. A second issue is that the Nomi step counter will sometimes be lower than what my Apple Watch is showing. Sometimes, I’ll take a walk and gain a lot of steps on my Apple Watch but the Nomi app won’t update and show all those steps. Finally, I don’t like that I have to wait until my next Nomi is born to implement updates to my Nomi. Overall, I really like this app, but these issues stress me out a little..Version: 1.6

So cute! This app is so adorable! With working from home often, the little guy encourages me to get up and go for a walk a few times a day. It’s very simple and sweet. To answer another reviews questions about how it works. It seems like you can only get one heart at a time. So if you go for a run, you’ll fill up one heart. You will still have to go for a walk later to fill up the heart again (hit the step goal) to feed him again. Overall, such a cute light hearted app. I can’t wait to see what she evolves into, and other future enhancements!.Version: 1.3

Cute and motivating!I love nomi and how it will often push me to go just a little further! I do wish hearts stacked, as others have said, so that I don’t need to keep checking in the middle of a workout or face the sadness of doing 2-3 hearts worth of effort and only getting 1 fed. It would also be really nice if there were an option for a rest/recovery/sick day every once in a while, since I’ve most often had a nomi die on me on a day I SHOULDNT be moving (like a bad migraine day) and wish I could do what’s right for my body without killing the lil guy..Version: 1.13

Super cuteI love that this app gets me moving. It’s fun to watch the nomi grow. I do have a couple of things that I think would make it better. I don’t like that I need to stand still and feed nomi and wait for the step counter to start counting again. I also don’t think the count is as accurate as it should be. The only other thing I would suggest is a sick option so your nomi doesn’t die if you get a cold and don’t feel like getting out of bed. Can you fix the glitch that doesn’t accurately reflect your steps? I don’t want my nomi to die again because it hasn’t kept up with my steps..Version: 1.13

Too Good of an App? PossiblyNomi is possibly one of the best fitness motivation apps on the market, but the enticing nature brings one fatal flaw: a deep emotional attachment to an adorable creature who can die in a day. I’ve worked on building my pet for years (590 days to be exact) and I hate to see him die after just hours of inactivity. Basically, all I’m asking for is a pause button to save my progress, or a way to store energy beyond the three hearts. Other than that, this is a wonderful app! Would definitely recommend to anyone with an Apple Watch..Version: 1.13

It’s cute but…This app is super cute but it has a couple of things I wish were different. It would be great if your hearts were automatically applied to your nomi. I’m a nurse and I keep losing because I’m too busy to go into the app and click the heart. It almost becomes too tedious and I find I’m getting uninterested. Also, it’s the same nomi every time. Why isn’t there different looking ones? Again, it’s gets boring. It is cute and I try to keep it alive but there’s lots of room for improvement..Version: 1.13

I like it but it dies pretty easy.I absolutely love this concept and it’s really cute. Unfortunately, I can only get the first evolution, if that, as I usually only wear my watch during the work week and then the Nomi dies during the weekend. So by Monday I have to start over. I know some people wear their watches every day but I’m not a fan of having a big ugly square on my arm all the time. :) so maybe in the future if Nomi can take a break, a nap, or visit/vacation during specific days, that would be lovely..Version: 1.13

In love with this App!This is my first ever review. I think this app warrants one. I grew up playing with a tamagotchi so this somehow brings me back to my childhood. I think the app is great and overall have no complaints. My only suggestion is to make the app more interactive. Like one of the reviewers mentioned, there should be some more things we can do to interact with our pet other than just feeding it. I know this app is growing so I am looking forward to the future updates!.Version: 1.10

One Big Miss - Otherwise A BlastI love this app. It’s extremely motivating and has got me moving...But why can’t I use all my steps? If I go for an hour run and get 8,000 steps, I can only feed nomi a single time. I shouldn’t need to feed him throughout my workout. I get the goal of getting users to check-in and feed nomi on a regular basis, but I shouldn’t be penalized for getting a big bunch of steps at once. Maybe read workouts and allow a full heart recharge if you got after it? Thanks for the app. I really do like it minus this one thing..Version: 1.6

Fantastic Fitness based TamagochiThis app is fantastic so far! I love tamagotchi/pet apps and there’s just not many options on the Apple Watch which really surprises me. A fitness based tamagotchi like app is genius. I agree with a lot of others though, having more interaction options with your “pet” to care for it would be a great addition! Personally I think 8 hours of sleep time would be nice too instead of only 6. Def will recommend this to friends and family with apple watches..Version: 1.13

Obsessed!I love this app! Nothing has kept me as engaged or responsible in closing my watch rings each day like those little tears from my nomi do when he’s hungry. My only complaint is that I can’t seem to get the mini games to work. I don’t know if it’s me somehow or a glitch with the app. Whenever I tap on it I get no response from the game. Should I be doing something different? Other than that, thanks for creating this! Brings back my tamagotchi days..Version: 1.13

Everyone needs a NomiThis is one of my absolute favorite Watch apps. I have tried other pet apps before but this is the best in my opinion. It’s quite simple but the design and concept are amazing. I have only had my Nomi for 4 days but I love feeding it and checking up on it. I’m just wondering, however, when it will evolve for the first time. Looking forward to it and I can’t wait to see new features in the future. Thank you so much for this!.Version: 1.12

So cute!I downloaded Nomi not too long after it was released. I love using it to motivate my steps because using the rings as a motivator was getting a little steal. It hits right in the nostalgia feels (hey all you tomagotchi fans!) It has cute little animations and fun surprises the longer you are able to keep it alive. The developers are also really great about listening to feedback and release updates after taking things into consideration. Such a fun addition to the watch!.Version: 1.6

Love it!I love this app for my watch. It’s so much fun watching my Nomi grow, and evolve. However, like some have mentioned, it would be nice if it would automatically “feed” the Nomi, instead of having to manually go in and do it. With my job, I am on my feet and moving constantly but I only remember to feed it now and then. Other than that, this is so much fun! It’s like the 2020’s version of the Tomagatchi from the 90’s! 😅.Version: 1.13

Update from last ratingI figured out how to play the game for hearts - I have grown my Nomi for 61 days now. I am curious if Nomi evolves past 60 days. I’ve noticed that it evolves every 10 days but when I got to day 60 - it remained the same. I wonder if that’s where it stops growing. If it is, I’d like to petition the developers to let it continue to evolve. It went from a blob to what looks like a young dragon that hovers. I’d like to see it do more - especially after I’ve worked so hard to keep it alive..Version: 1.8

LovelyLoving this little app. It brings back some memories for when I got my first tamagotchi. Crying and running early in the morning getting ready for school because I forgot to fed my pet before going to sleep. 14/10 brought back great memories. I wish it had more features it is pretty simple. But brings me joy seeing how evolves after a few days. I’m afraid to reaching the limit. Dear developers, are you planing on bringing more features or develop a new app seeing the joy you’ve brought to some of us?.Version: 1.7

Customization options? As much as I enjoy this app, I would love it even more if it included little things like accessories and having the option to change the environments. It would be a good idea to implement a coin system where you get coins if your nomi is still alive by the end of the day. And we could use those coins to buy little accessories like hats and to unlock backgrounds. Just a thought as someone who loves being able to customize everything ..Version: 1.11

MotivationalThis app is perfect to keep you motivated to walk, perfect for this time when we easily forget how inactive we can get, as Nomi gets bigger you have to walk more and it’s way more of a motivation to walk more because he has evolved. Would be more perfect if we could see him walk or do something else rather than just stand there. But overall I love this app, and hopefully we can get to see more cool updates!.Version: 1.9

CuteThe app is very cute and a great motivator, but I do wish your Nomi’s health wouldn’t go down when your watch is on the charger. There are some days (especially the weekends) when I just don’t put my watch on. I’ve had two Nomis die because I left my watch on the charger all day and didn’t feed them. Or if you could get a notification on your phone reminding you to feed them when you don’t have your watch on..Version: 1.13

Needs to have a catch for chargingIm only giving it a 4 because there needs to be some kind of “pause” for when the watch is charging. My pet keeps dying because i charge my watch only when it is needed. So if my watch dies in the middle of the day, it has to charge. Then by the time i put it back on, its bed time. I wake up and the thing is already starving. So i have to work really hard to gain hearts. And if i dont, it dies..Version: 1.13

Cute and Motivating!I love this little guy! It motivates me to move even when I’d rather be lazy (who could stare at that crying face and not get up!?). The simple design is perfect for the average user and the new updates are amazing. Thank you for this fantastic app! One suggestion is to have the ability change the step amount. Around level 30 it gets very difficult to meet the step requirements especially during quarantine..Version: 1.7

Fun watch app w/ some room for improvementIt’s a fun app for the watch and my kids are getting a kick out of watching it with me. I really like the update with games to store hearts for later, BUT if I try to play a game while also running the workout app, it kills the workout app. I’m a jogger and want to be able to collect my hearts while also tracking my time and distance in the workout app. If the two could be running in parallel that would be awesome!.Version: 1.13

Cool but could use some workI actually liked this app but recently pet got to around 63 days and it seemed the hearts just went so fast. I was on my way to work and had one full heart which was ok cause I almost had my ring filled up. Check him 30 minutes later to give him a heart and he is dead!!!! I was so mad, I really worked hard to keep him going and for that to happen. Not sure if it was a glitch or what. Wish you could save up hearts or revive your pet somehow..Version: 1.13

So cute and so worth the 1.99I’ve literally had this little game on my watch for a day and I love it soooo much soo cutee and a wonderful way to keep you moving because you don’t want your little friend to die I just hope I don’t have any technical difficulties with it and he die then but so far so good will keep my review up to date too so you know.Version: 1.13

Sleep timeI need Nomi to sleep longer! Recommended time of sleep is 8hours. I do exercise, work and eat healthy. That has me sleep 8 hours! That would be so sad to have Nomi die because I am sleeping. Please, may you allow linger sleep time ! Thank you !.Version: 1.13

Shift workerLove it but I can’t change it to sleep longer when I am on shift work or pause it when am charging my watch ..Version: 1.13

Love itMy current nomi (Bingus) is at day 273! It’s a great game. Definitely can get you moving when you see your nomi running low. The only thing I wish was that after a little while(100 days or a year) your nomi would just rest eternally so you could start a new one without killing your old one. There’s 3 different pathways and I wouldn’t mind starting a new one but I don’t want to kill mine..Version: 1.13

Meh. On the fence.Cute and vaguely motivational. But as a shift worker, I hate that when I am asleep during the day, the Nomi isn’t. It can’t be that hard to design it to put it to sleep during Do Not Disturb mode. Then it sleeps while I’m awake. Should be able to set how long it sleeps and when. Also, if the watch isn’t on my wrist, it should suspend..Version: 1.13

Family sharing not workingGreat app even if there is not a lot to do with the little guy ( combat with friends or stuff like that would be great). One bad thing is that it says it work with up to 6 family member but I can’t make it to work, always ask to pay again.Version: 1.13

50:50On day 8. So far I like it. It’s cute, I named mine lil mochi nomnom. I just wish it was more like the classic nano or tamagotchi, you literally can’t do anything with it. Just tap the heart once it’s full to feed it 5 or so times a day and wait 5 days to see it change. That’s it. Also seriously need to be able to set the bedtime and wake up time yourself, sometimes I go to bed at 9pm, sometimes 1am. Sometimes get up at 6, sometimes 8. It’s annoying that it’s strictly set for midnight-6. It’s just kinda lacking in my view but still cute so whatever lol I’ll keep it 🤷🏻‍♀️.Version: 1.13

Cute and MotivatingI would give Nomi 5 stars but there are a few things that need to improve. Nomi only sleeping for 6 hours isn’t realistic to someone trying to be healthy and get their 8 hours of sleep. When adding friends, we should be able to help Other Nomi’s out be sharing hearts. I would like to see evolutions go beyond the 100 day mark. Otherwise it’s a great little app and I enjoy making sure it’s hearts are full. After day 40 is really when it gets to be something that keeps me going..Version: 1.13

So sad...My Nomi(Gus Gus) was alive for 47 days but then I upgraded my watch and lost poor Gus Gus and am now forced to start all over again. If they can have a cloud for ones that die(I never killed mine, not once until now and through no fault of my own) then why can’t the cloud keep the alive ones attached to your iCloud back up or something so when we upgrade things we aren’t forced to start over again! I now have Gus Gus Jr. but he’ll be no replacement for Gus Gus!!.Version: 1.13

Was great until notifications killed itI was able to get my nomi to stay alive for 39 days. Then I got no notifications saying it was running out of hearts and was hungry and then it died. I haven’t tried with another because that was frustrating, when there’s an update that fixes notifications then I’ll try it again. I got my wife to get it too and she will get notifications for maybe 2 days tops then they’ll stop so it will end up dying.Version: 1.12

Works well but doesn't back upWorks well, is super cute, and has convinced me up off the couch more than once! Note: doesn't back up to iCloud. Had to unpair and re-pair my watch to my phone and despite backing up beforehand I ended up killing a several-month-old nomi. :(.Version: 1.8

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!This app is honestly the best app ever for the apple watch. It is so amazing and fun. I have only been using it for 25 days but I love it so so mcuh! I am so so exited to see what new features there are comming!! I have one suggestion though: Could you add a thing were it sets the time nomi sleeps for depending on your age that you put in your health app? Adults are mabye sleeping 6-7 hours a night but kids and teenagers should sleep for like 8 hours and that 2 hours of nomi slowly loosing hearts! You dont have to add this feature or read anything I sais in this message, but I put it out here if you want it!! (The people that put less than 5 stars to this app are SUPER COCOOOO! 😂).Version: 1.11

Symbiosis of coevolutionUpdate: Using it for 6 months now, app has improved over time and appreciate the developer is making changes based on the feedback received. No major impact on battery performance. If I have to pick one great feature then it’s the mini game. Using the app for 8 days. It’s easy to use and Apple Watch only app. Download directly on your watch to avoid any issues with step count. Slight delay in registering the step counts but it is not a big deal. Perfect for the current times of “quarantine”, if I keep “nomi” alive, I’m alive and well. The symbiosis necessary for coevolution!! Will update the review once I’m sure about the impact on battery performance..Version: 1.10

Good idea needs polishUpdating review. Definitely worth the minimal cost for such a cute app, especially with the latest QOL updates. Being able to set my own difficulty is a game changer. Also love the new sleep addition. Keep up three great work, looking forward to future updates..Version: 1.7

Active calories a game changerThis most recent update takes a cute app to the next level. Most steps are kind of hard to track so using active calories/move ring data is great! Thank you for providing difficulty level also!.Version: 1.6

Simple and cute.Just remember to check in every few hours. Cute little pet - just feed it. No cleanup, no water or mood swings. Just feed it a heart that you earn by walking. Don’t overthink this one..Version: 1.6

First impressions- very cute!I wanted to give a review to help with the ratings. I just got it and it’s been working fine. The Apple Health app does have a bit of a delay, but eventually the steps are counted and my Nomi gets fed. It is really cute and a great motivator to get some steps during the day. So far so good. I’ll come back and update my review and rating after I try this out for a few days. Update: I’ve upgraded my review to 5 stars. During this time of social distancing and isolation, I’ve kept up my goal of 10,000 steps with the cute reminders from my evolving Nomi which I’ve named “Marshmallow”. My kids love him too. Highly recommended to brighten up your day in these difficult times..Version: 1.5
