Superpedestrian LINK Scooters Positive Reviews

New Scooter - New VibeWe’ve all succumbed to the inevitable fun that E-Scooters bring us (adults and kids alike). Bird paved the path and Lime was a commendable opponent. Uber and Lyft then came in like the corporate wrecking balls that they are and, well, they were an upgrade but they hit different. Missing parts and rattling handle bars, numbing you from a mere mile-scooters ride, started to dismantle, literally the scooters game. Customer support fell through the cracks and rules didn’t seem to matter to these path-pavers. Enter Link and, coincidentally like the hero that strives to save Princess Zelda, they conquer the scooter realm. Everything about these scooters addresses all previous qualms I’ve had with previous companies. Handle bars are strategic and motorcycle-esc. Brakes and handling are award worthy and, the cremé de le cremé, a suspension system that feels like a cruise on calm seas. Ride Link. End of Story..Version: 3.6.1

Sad that this app is such a dumpster fireI live in Seattle and the Link scooters are the better of the two available. However, this app is an absolute wreck and simply does not work. The first few days I was using it, all was well. I don’t know if an update hastened or what, but the app has absolutely stopped working. The app hangs on the loading screen far too often, it cannot complete whatever the “firmware check” stage is and scooters simply won’t unlock for me because it hangs in the firmware check stage. At the same time, the in-app scooter locating map only works about half the time (often the map is just empty or blank) and about half the time it also hangs while trying to process my payments through Apple Pay or it simply drops the transaction and I have to restart. All in all I’m able to use the app successfully about 1 out of every 20 tries. If you can avoid it, don’t use this service. I rely on the scooters to get around day to day and I simply have had to give up with LINK. It’s not with the headache. Update - wow for like a hot minute this app got better but now it’s literally entirely unusable on an iPhone 12 Mini. Lame..Version: 3.5.4

Decent experience however lacking in safetyMy overall experience with my first ride I’d say was a 7/10. First off you get zero instructions on how to start riding the device or operate it safely near pedestrians and vehicles. The idea that people who may have never even rode a bike are zooming on side walks is pretty terrifying. The safety geo fencing is a nice feature however it’s far from perfect. You get a nice beep when you enter a speed controlled area or when your out of bounds but guess what!? you are paying the whole time for the ride you are out of bounds and you have to push it manually !! The “bell” is also a joke. I’ve got a louder bell on a mountain bike and trying to hear the included bell in any urban area is unrealistic. The device itself was great (First weekend the service was available, Hartford CT) great acceleration , top speed, handling and breaking. The lack of training for safely operating the scooter is unfortunate , even a 2 minute video before it lets you ride would be great and I’m amazed the service is able to legally operate without it. Seems like a lawsuit waiting to happen..Version: 3.3.2

Pretty enjoyableYeah y’all got something good going on keep these around or give them a lil new look either or they’re cool y’all should definitely try them out sometime if you think about using one do it you’ll enjoy the ride also good for transportation round downtown an if you work in downtown it’s usually 10 dollars or less to get where you need to be anywhere in downtown I got no issue paying 10 bucks for a lil fun ride to get more money in my pocket Probably the most honest review your gone see or get theirs no complaints over here wit this an I’d hope to not run into no more down the way Thank y’all for your ride services to much appreciated.Version: 4.0.5

Sadly the best of three in my cityApp and scooters glitch out very often. Either the app won’t let you finish a ride, and your stuck taking photos, waiting take another, wait etc or it says you don’t have funds in the wallet or card on file even if an hour before your Apple Pay was linked up and worked fine and a couple hours later magically works again. When it says you have no card linked or funds in wallet it’s the same as the photo/finish ride you are stuck in an endless loop and restarting the app does nothing. I have even tried restarting my phone. The scooters will randomly decide to lock also sometimes after you unlock and have ridden a block or two. Flashing lights horn honking brakes kick in. Real safe when you are in a busy intersection and the light is about to change..Version: 4.0.1

Great scoots! Developing app.The app is as simple to understand as the competition, but doesn’t offer a scoot reservation option. Like, if I have to walk 3 blocks to get to a scooter, or will need the scooter in 10 minutes after getting ready for work. I’d like to make sure it’ll still be there when I get there. The scooter is the best in Seattle! What it lacks in visual displays, it makes up for with big wheels, and the power to creep up Capitol Hill from Downtown. When all others stall, and need a kick/push up a couple 10-15 degree hills while my 285 rides. The app could also use scoot data integration for after a ride starts. Then add a phone quick mount to the handle to display your mph, battery level, estimated miles remaining, and if the brakes are regenerating..Version: 3.3.3

Off limits areas extend past geographic limitsRiding near a university is near impossible (and dangerous) because the GPS thinks you’re on out of bounds, when in reality you’re riding in a public sidewalk on the other side of the road, and simply stops. This happens has happened to me countless times, even in the middle of intersections on public roads when I’m nearing a school or community building. I understand the city imposes the boundaries, but the software needs to be able to recognize and predict when a rider is actually on approved routes, even if they are close to the out of bounds..Version: 2.1.2

Me and my wife first time scooter rideWhoa this was awesome my first time ever getting on one of these things my wife has never ridden a scooter and it was so easy to ride and has a great speed great brakes I felt like a kid again me and my wife had a ball we came from another town and Cindi staying the night and guess what I will be back to the town justTo ride one of the scooters again and my wife had a great time and playing on the scooters gave me and my wife a van that we will remember in a memory that we won’t forget thanks link scooters good job.Version: 3.5.2

City Dwelling Regular Scooter UserHad my first ride on a Link scooter tonight. I’ve used Birds, Limes and now most commonly Spin. I like the inflatable wheels on the Link as well as the shock absorber on the front wheels. Missing the speedometer but I don’t really know why I need one. The scooter is bulkier/heavier than other models but felt like a very solid ride. It’s early in their exposure to Baltimore but the battery did a great job climbing hills with basically no loss of speed. 5 out of 5 would ride again.Version: 3.5.2

Lime is betterThe repeated safety quizzes are annoying and enough to always use Lime if it’s an option. The scooters do not coast—they start to break as soon as you let off the accelerator—maybe it’s to recharge? That’s annoying while riding, but also a problem while trying to park—you can either manhandle your scooter into a good spot (because it’s breaking while you try to roll it) or attempt to use the accelerator, which is unsafe while trying to “park”—which is ironic given all the safety quizzes. And a thing that makes that worse is the accelerators are very “all or nothing.”.Version: 5.2.0

Pure undiluted crap!I scanned the scooter, started pushing it, pushed down the accelerator lever on the handle bars and the light on the handle turned red and the scooter wouldn’t move. The app said there was 38% battery life on the scooter and everything was fine, but when I tried again and got the same result. Then the ride automatically ended and charged me 2 bucks. I didn’t move more than 5 feet. This is complete trash..Version: 2.3.3

ReviewI’d like the scooters and they handle well but you have to work on uphill speed. This is Los Angeles and there are hills everywhere and your units even when fully charged only go about 4 miles an hour uphill while all the other scooters especially lift go uphill just fine. I’m just saying they’d be a lot better and I would use them more if they didn’t have that hill problem..Version: 5.0.1

Awesome Ride!So now for a little while at least I own well rent to own a scooter. It’s awesome I can just park my car and go where I want. Ultimate freedom if you don’t wanna spend the bucks on getting your own or getting a motorcycle. Just leave it and go just the way I like that awesome. The ride was smooth it goes pretty fast and it’s not too bad on the wallet either. I’ll definite use it again! Kim Trachtenberg.Version: 3.5.3

I LOVE THESELiving in Oakland it can be hard to find quality scooters nearby BUT these are the best!!!!! Super sturdy for the uneven streets & sidewalks. I can almost always find one within 3 blocks of me. I think they’re very fairly priced & never have an issue with the app (other than some VERY slight lag between app and scooter on occasion). Cheaper than an Uber, faster than walking, and it makes me feel like a kid! I LOVE THESE!!.Version: 5.3.0

Cheap and Fast!Superpedestrian is by far the best option around for electric pedestrian transport. Compared to Lime, VEO, WheelsUp and other competitors it is definitely the cheapest option with no hidden fees. Cheap doesn’t mean they skimp on the quality of the scooter either. My ride was well maintained, the electric motor was smooth, and way faster than any Lime scooter I’ve rode to-date. 10/10 would recommend!.Version: 6.3.1

AmazingEven though the first ride is a slow ride on the link scooter, I had not only an amazing time riding around, but I got to where I was going in no time. The only feature I could see making the ride better is GPS screen some where on the handle bars. However, once again, it was a thrill and I loved it..Version: 3.8.2

Joyful RidingThis scooter was fantastic it wasn’t to slow but not to fast either. The ride itself was smooth a bit hard at first to get the hang of it but after three minutes it’s smooth sailing here on out. My only complaint would be is that you need your card with you to access this scooter as it doesn’t have PayPal or other mobile options for payment..Version: 3.7.1

My ExperienceI would have to say my link experience has been A1 from day 1 starting off with its location feature with current charge all located on the device hood top speed maybe a tad bit fast and really solid pricing. I was surprised how good it was over bumps overall no complaints from me 5 stars..Version: 5.2.2

Seattle super crossUnreal fun.Version: 6.2.2

Slow trailsI don’t see any fast trails on the map and the last time I rented one , it had fast areas. I like the speed it offers but hate putting along.Version: 3.5.5
