Good systemI had this system installed in me and my girlfriend restaurant. Because the workers were stealing money from the register. And we’re also charging the customers for their order. But was not ringing the order up. So after we installed the CCTV CAMERAS. This problem literally disappeared!!!! And the system has great features. And what I really like about it. Is that my girlfriend can see all activities in our restaurant. When she is not there. So this is a win, win. For both her and I. And the system is still working great!!!!! Excellent SecurityWe have a six camera system that covers the entire exterior of our house and one interior. We love the quality of the picture and the quick connect to live viewing. We were in Arizona watching the hurricane storm on our cameras in Florida. Love this system. Two things I would like to see, ability to turn off/on a camera in the app. We don’t like the interior camera on when we are home but love it when we aren’t. Second, while reviewing past video is fairly easy jumping forward, the fast forward option is great. I love the system and highly recommend it. I love this program!The program is written by engineers you can tell. You have to dig and keep looking but all of the info and all of the options you can think of art already built into this program most likely. I absolutely love trip wire and all of the options you can set with it. The time and days and everything makes it so beyond a certain time nobody should be coming into my yard and the light will come on and send an alarm sound. An absolute great product.!!!This is a fantastic product, it’s easy to install, very user-friendly, and I can’t believe I went so long without it. Good app but could use a little improvementI really enjoyed the most recent update. It has more of a sleek look. The darker layout is amazing. One thing I am not a huge fan of is the notifications. When a banner pops up, you click on it and you expect it to take you to the actual video, it doesn’t. It takes you to a screen where you have to click the video to watch. I don’t know why they added that. Before you could click on the notification and it would take you directly to the video. I hope they fix this, it’s rather inconvenient..El RuLeeVersion: 1.99.703

Alarm and push are separate..Nice app, but why doesn't it allow me to receive push notifications only if alarm is armed? Right now I have alarms set for motion detection and I can turn the alarm on/off globally (bell icon on live screen). But in the app, 'motion detection' still sends notifications even when alarm is disarmed. I tried other (non-obvious) notifications options but none of them seems to be linked with whatever I have set up for alarm on my recorder. So now, to disable alarm I have to do it on my recorder - and then separately disable push in the app. Not very smart :(.Go091eVersion: 1.99.620

Almost greatIDMSS works well even now though we still work with 2015 software. The company that installed it is afraid they can not trouble shoot if something goes wrong. At that time I could not find company support phone numbers and used the difficult to understand manual so I could use the system. We are limping along doing everything the hard way. We’ve had other companies review out system but they want to install a whole new system. That’s not going to happen unless this one totally fails. Professional installHad the cameras put in by a professional company and they set me up. I’m in love with how easy this works and adding my boyfriends phone to the system. My only disappointment is when I lose power I always have to unplug and reply him the server. This was rough when I spent a month vacationing in Florida during the winter months. Several winter storms kept putting out my power, and I had to have my parents or friends visit my house to reset the server. HUGE upgrade from my last system… UnrealBetween my home and my business, I’ve worked with 3 different systems. Lorex, swann and Ring. Those were absolute garbage. They would BARELY ever connect and the apps were so clunky. It blew my mind because they were advertised so well. ANYWAY, it’s a night and day difference in regards to ease of use and reliability. I’ve used the EYEMAX HD system with the DMSS app and the system connects EVERY TIME. Playback is soooo easy too. One button playback and one button Human filter. Very Reliable and user friendlyI absolutely love this app. I’m able to leave my home and check on it while away in real-time. Bad reviews from non professionalsMost of the people writing bad reviews are not professional installers…. Hence they don’t know how to setup. Any reputable professional installer will have no issue. We have installed and used this for several years and it always works across thousands of systems unless the customer changes internet or routers. Reliable cameraI have had this Dahua camera for over 3 years. It works great. My biggest concern with cameras this price was the detection value. This camera detects motion from 150’ with no problem. It helped me bust a guy I knew who came one day (while I was at work) “borrow” some tools… I am planning on buying more Dahua cameras soon. PS I am not paid by anyone to write this. Issues with tripwire featureThere is a problem with the tripwire feature. We are not the only ones I hear with this problem. The problem is that during the time frame, the trip wires are set, it doesn’t matter whether anyone is crossing the tripwire, just that they are within ANY range of a camera. Works well on iPhoneMonitors all of my cameras and sends notifications whenever tripwires triggered. Wish there was a way to pause notifications for x amount of time. DMSS camerasOur security cameras are awesome! They have been working great with no problems for 6 months! I would recommend these cameras, good resolution as well. The only problem is maneuvering around the cameras when you need a certain clip or pictures. Also not real easy to form invisible trip wires. I keep getting signed outI used to be able to login to multiple devices at same time, 2-3. Now I can only sign in to one device at a time. If I leave home I have to sign in on my phone, at home if I sign in on my tablet my phone is signed out. Also a problem if another household member signs in, I get signed out. The one issue is that sound does not play from the cameras without the full channel being opened (as in to get sound you have to turn the two way talk fully open so your sound plays through the camera too). Fake reviewsThis app is loaded with fake reviews. Actually, I highly doubt this review will even get posted because it is not going to favor the developer. However, regardless if your NVR and iPhone/ipad is on the same network, you are required to go through a cloud service. In essence it is a relay system to communicate with your NVR. Why is this necessary if both devices are on the same network? If I use a web browser and connect directly to my NVR, no issues. Second, who or what sees my password when connecting to the cloud service, is it encrypted and is it stored there too? Why are other vital information needed to even use this app? Often times the app needs to be killed on my iPhone and restarted otherwise it hangs at 97% down loading. Mind you my network is a 10g back end so why does this happen? For best practices, all of my cameras are isolated on a separate VPN and have no web access. They can only access my NVR. This is to prevent rogue camera software from reporting to some bad place which you can see it doing so on the network trace. The app has a lot to be desired and the fake reviews of praise and customer service make you think that you are using the best software out there. Don’t be fooled, its a typical half baked product. Motion detector failureI put this system at my company which operates from 6 AM to 4:30 PM. The entire reason I got the system was for night time so that I could monitor and get notification if anyone was on my property. In order to set up the evening and night time motion detector you have to go camera by camera through multiple steps just to turn it on and go through the same steps to turn it off the next morning. Otherwise my phone will blow up the entire time my plant is up and running during the day with constant notifications. If anyone wants a system with motion detectors I would absolutely recommend buying somebody else’s system. This was a total failure and I regret! There are cheap systems on the market that you can do this with a switch of a button or you can program the system to do it automatically. Notifications and other features don’t workThe system is ok but there seems to be so much issues that needed me to call the company that installed the cams- the feeds were not coming like not detecting motions or notifications not working. Some I was able to fix it myself but it’s a headache and security issue each time the company asks for my login credentials which I feel is privacy risk. Each time something is disabled ( not sure who is making these changes behind or someone has access) not good if I have to do forensic on it. Favorites are now hidden in latest update!!Home Screen should be for CAMERAS! This is literally the only reason this app exists. Why did you move the favorites to some hidden menu that I need to click 4 times to get to??? This should be front and center when you open the app. Not even an option to add favorites to Home Screen?!! Why!! Don’t make me tap 5 times to open the live camera views it is so inconvenient for the user! At least the previous version gave you favorites on the first page when the app is opened. Meh..This is app is ok but its not ok to the point where i would recommend it to someone. Recently i bought a £500 Camera System/an XVR System and the sound on these camera’s...😱 they are absolutely terrible, it can hear noises very loud from far away (e.g a car sounds like an airplane landing) but can’t hear conversations right underneath it but you can hear the neighbourhood around, incredibly strange. Who wants to hear the rest of the neighbourhood where the point of CCTV is to protect your property and surroundings, if i had the money i would definitely bin it and buy a new one, also every few seconds I put it on live it always says “connection failed”. Aggravating AppUnless you are well versed in computer language, then this is an app to be avoided. It installs okay but setting it up takes a miracle. If you do get it to work don’t celebrate quite yet because it stops working with the “connection failed” notification. When going to the help section you will discover hard, if not impossible, to read instructions. Had my system installers out to replace an outdated main unit and even they had to contact the company to get this all working. Constant “connection timeout” during playbackFrom a Dahua user: Watching live mode doesn’t seem to be an issue but anytime I get a notification to watch a playback based on my cameras smart motion, it plays maybe 10 seconds or less of the recorded motion, and then stops, and says “connection time out”. In the world of “wired cameras”, this app does not work even remotely close to being user friendly, as that of a wireless camera. Dahua’s tech support has been useless on this topic. My iOS is running the latest version, My NVR’s firmware is updated, and I’m running the apps latest version of DMSS. Still the same issue over and over!.Smeister78Version: 1.99.503

Stops sending notificationsRandomly, I will stop getting notifications on my phone. I still get them on my iPad, but I have to delete the app and reload and then set up every camera again. Then sometimes only some cameras send notifications, and the others don’t. The whole point is for me to know when someone is on my property. If you are thinking about installing a security system that uses this app (Dahua cameras, for example), please don’t. PS, if you look at recent reviews, this app would be rated about a 1.5. Horrible AppNormally I do not write reviews but this app is horrible. The original app was a lot better, less bugs and so much easier to play back footage. Every time I try to play back footage on this app I scan to the time I want to play and maybe it will play back my footage if it feels like it, many times it doesn’t load and if it does load it freezes after a few seconds. Then when I try to to a different time it won’t load footage and brings be back to 12:00 midnight. It so frustrating.
