Upward: Christian Dating App Positive Reviews

It’s not bad but questionable things on here.Hey, so this is a pretty good app actually. It makes people stand out to me. Like they put in depth bios and knowledge or make their character stand out. The problem isn’t the people, it’s the like/match system. No, I can be wrong since this is my first time trying to use a dating app but, why does it cost a subscription to try to match with people that like you? Why are we forced to pay for the main component of the whole point of the dating; talking to a potential match? Like I understand if it’s for scam checks or stuff like that but that seems pretty weird to me or too much as I say. And like, I can’t even see who my matches are and I got to pay for that too with the matching system. So I’m not too sure if this could but I’m going to say this and maybe hopefully it can change. Instead of not seeing our matches, we instead can see them, we get to talk/text for an hour and then when the time is up, we can either keep talking/texting or just move on with our lives. But if we don’t get along or be compatible with each other, we can say no and move on early. But if it’s vice versa, then we can do that. But as I have stated, this is my only problem with the app is just the matching system and likes. But if that isn’t possible then oh well, I tried at least. Thank you for reading this if you did :).Version: 3.19.0

Great app for putting yourself out there!!I downloaded this app, matched with a few guys, and dated a guy I met on here for a month! Even though it didn’t end up working out, I was really impressed to meet such a godly man on a dating app!! As with any dating app, be cautious with profiles and meeting up (let other people know where you are even if you’re a hermit and don’t tell people where you’re usually going like me😂). But anyway, a friend told me I should give this app a rating so here I am! If you’re looking to put yourself out there and potentially meet someone who loves Jesus, this app could be for you! It didn’t work out for me, but hey, I am thankful to have known the guy for even a short while! We both were blessed by each other, but I knew I needed to end the pursuit of the relationship when I felt like God was not leading us together. With that, I leave a message to the ladies that I needed to hear too: BE HONEST. Tell the guy where you’re at, even if he seems like he’s head over heals for you and you’re not quite there. HOLD EACH OTHER WITH OPEN HANDS. Let the Lord lead you!!! SEEK THE LORD. Ask Him to show you His will regarding the guy in your life. If God directs away from him, don’t drag the guy on. Communicate, end well, and say farewell. Anyway, maybe someone needs to hear this advice and maybe someone just needs to hear part of it. Blessings on you as you hold your desire for a relationship before the Lord!!.Version: 3.15.0

CHASE AFTER GODAt the time I was focusing mainly on God and work because I didn’t wanna get into another relationship. I hadn’t had the best experiences in the past; partly on my behalf because I was chasing after looks and worldly satisfactions. Upward kept popping up on my tik tok and I just ignored it. One day I was kind of thinking about it as it popped up again. I downloaded it. Matched with a good amount of guys started chatting, and even went on a few dates . Like every other dating app you’re gonna have those bots, fake Christian’s, and just people that wanna sleep with you. I ended up matching with this guy who was really cute and his bio/ pictures caught my attention. Went on our first date and he was sweet. Went on another date and the way he spoke about God and family I found really attractive. It was the first time I had the thought of “I could see myself marrying this guy” vs “wonder how good he is with kissing”. He ended up asking me to be his girlfriend and ever since then we’ve been chasing God together, praying together and separately, sending each other daily Bible verses. Advice: If you’re idolizing dating apps get off. Chase after God and dive into the word and your future spouse will come up running beside you. Trust Gods plan and be patient. Give it all to God and ask him to take things where he wants them to go. Not where you want them to go..Version: 5.4.0

I’ll enjoy it when I canI would give this app a 4/5 but I put 5 because I think it will be a great app once I’m able to fully enjoy it. As for now, I can’t. I am a missionary in Brazil, but I am from the States. I signed up thinking I could maybe move my location to my home state, Florida, and match with people there. But then I found out I couldn’t choose my location, or put in my american address. As for now, I am still in Brazil. My app store is set to only download apps available in the States. So I think that’s why I was able to still download Upward even though I’m currently in Brazil. I’m hoping maybe in the future, we can be able to change our location. It would definitely help me find matches where I usually travel when I do go to the States. As for now, I have an empty match screen haha. Maybe God will bring someone in my area of Brazil who is in the same situation with using Upward here and we’ll match and it’ll turn into a whole hallmark perfect ending. A girl can dream 😂. I think also adding the location could help if you are about to travel to somewhere in the US, you could change your location to there and be able to maybe set up a date with someone before you go on your trip. Love it so far though! I pray that people find and meet their God given partner! God bless y’all!.Version: 4.14.0

Great app! Finally!I love this app. It’s like a Christian version of Tinder. Mostly everyone here are looking for relationships & have a end game for marriage. The women seem really faith driven and traditional which I like, I haven’t gotten any matches yet because it’s my first day. But already liking the bios, and vibe from a lot of women on here. I have even seen girls that are from Tinder on here, but their bios are more in debt and they actually write something and explain what they are looking for as if maybe Tinder they just made it in hopes of finding something special other than guys who just wanted one night stands. Here those same girls are a lot more open. Unfortunately their aren’t many Christian women left in our society so there not a lot to choose from in most local areas your range runs out pretty quick. So if your ok with making a connection and feeling like it’s worth to travel to make such a great connection to meet someone if you have too. It’s not that bad of an app. I live in Arizona and it’s a party town would love to see a travel mode to see some women back in my hometown since I travel their often as well. Other than that great app for anyone who wants God at the center of their relationship. Can’t watch to see it grow. They should most definitely be promoting this in the church communities..Version: 3.3.0

Meh……Nuff saidOkay as a woman using this app I guess there are some positives and negatives. I tried this app for exactly 2 days and at first it was fun and exciting seeing the likes and watching them add up but I guess it depends on what kind of person you are. I’m the type where if I already know someone likes me I’m more willing to invest time into that, but I couldn’t see anyone who liked me and that became frustrating after the first couple days when you have like 100+ likes but barely any matches. Lol. It’s not even that I swipe left on someone because they are unattractive but you just don’t know who would be into you and I guess that’s something they could consider fixing. I also agree with another reviewer in that when you do get matches, many people ghost after…due to browsing and “shopping” to see more matches. In this way I feel as though it’s a bit tricky to truly find someone who isn’t consistently browsing for more matches. Or the person is just not taking it seriously. It’s like it becomes a habit that many can’t stop and no true matches follow through to go on into anything deeper beyond “How are you?” I do believe there are some real people on there looking for something but personally it’s too hard to find them and I would rather let God do his work without me trying to force it. It’s not for everyone, but when it works (IF IT WORKS) it can really lead to great things I guess..Version: 3.4.0

Used Free, Finally WorkedI’ve been on dating apps of some kind for about 5 years. I’m not an ugly guy, but I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and I’m a Christian. I date to marry, but most of my life I’ve lived in Alaska which has a low female to male ratio. I started dating apps when I was living in England, and I used paid subscriptions on a couple older, more popular Christian dating apps. I got several matches, I had several dates. Nobody really meshed with me. That’s not the apps’ fault, I just didn’t feel like those women were exactly who I wanted. The problem was that those apps were super expensive. I decided to use other platforms. I downloaded Bumble, Tinder, and Hinge and intended to use them without subscriptions. Bumble was absolutely the worst. Women are supposed to initiate on that app, but so many don’t. The few conversations I had were shallow and short. Tinder had some girls that looked normal and innocent enough, but I never met up with them. Hinge was probably the second best app out of them all, and I had several good conversations and met up with a few women. But finally, I met my girlfriend using Upward. It still took a while for me; she said she was only on the app for a few days before we matched. We’re both dating to marry, and we share so many values. I’m happy we downloaded Upward..Version: 5.4.0

Could be betterIt’s a great app but could better Ive several issues regarding my subscriptions I’ve paid for not reflecting in the app. Such as my elite membership that I purchased 2 maybe 3 different times this month as well as the several premium memberships none of which bare giving me access to those level features. I’ve messaged him them several times asking if they could fix that or refund my money and they never email me back. I emailed them Friday and they said they would get back with me and never did, I even wrote a review yesterday and it didn’t get posted. 2. A i had to create a new account after my phone number changed because of their system signing me out and making me type in my number which had been changed so it made me create a new account. So that may be part of the issue. So upward needs a different sign in method because folks change their numbers all the time and shouldn’t have to create a new account or not be able to access features because they worried about fraud. It’s the same IP address and name on the account and debit cards it’s not fraud I’d like the money back I’ve spent on both accounts this month especially seeing as though my old account I lost access to it 2 days after I paid the elite membership and the premium. How can this be fixed or I’ll just delete my account and tell my friends not to join here..Version: 2.20.0

Not bad, but needs improvementsIf you’re the kind of guy who’s struggling to get attention on other apps like Tinder or Bumble and you’re also a Christian, this one might be a little better for you. I find that the women on this app tend to be less entitled and don’t have such high standards, basically if you’re decently attractive, it’s not hard to find someone who genuinely wants to talk to you and doesn’t have 40 other guys messaging them. However, the main flaw that this app has is the lack of any kind of distance filter, it’s not a huge problem because it shows people’s distance whenever you view their profile, but it’s annoying because after using the app for a little while, like 3/4 of the people it shows are over 60 miles away. Another thing I like about this app is that it seems like you don’t have to swipe for that long for it to show you someone who’s liked your profile, however that may have changed in the most recent update which has adopted a Tinder style likes page which you need a subscription to see, and is actually more expensive than Tinder. So overall the app is pretty good but it needs a location filter(that you don’t have to pay for because on some apps you do) and just more users overall..Version: 2.1.3

Christian App but not really ChristianI never expected something for free daily but what I do expect is a better way to advertise. Do not state free but to see the people who obviously want to get to know you charge for them to communicate with you. Also you should be able to see a few people daily who like you. I’m not saying 45 a day but at least 3 a day you should be able to see. Can we make this a little more user friendly if I like someone I can’t go back and look at the ones I have liked. You can look back on the most basic and common dating apps. I believe there’s a need for a true Christian community and a true Christian dating app but let’s be Christ like when we’re doing modifications and updates on the app and add more Christianity to the app. Let’s bring the equally yoke together and stop having our hands out at every turn. God will always provide when we are doing his work. Before you make another update please pray and ask God where and how you can make this app more user friendly, more Christ like and how to connect more matches together without charging them a couple arms and a few legs. I really want to see this app evolve because the basis is really good it just needs some more love, attention, support and communication. I really hopes this helps a lot. I want to be able to send all my friends to this dating app..Version: 4.15.0

Needs User VerificationI really want to love this app as the interface is really good and I’ve had some decent conversations with some girls on it. But this app REALLY needs some sort of user verification. The last match I got seemed really great at first. I gave her my number so we could talk easier. We seemed to have a lot in common and our conversation was really nice and everything seemed normal; at least, it did at first. All of a sudden, she sent me a completely unsolicited inappropriate photo of herself and later on, I got a phone call from her number, but it was a male voice on the other end of the call and he claimed he was her father and that his daughter is only 16 years old and that he was going to the police and would file criminal charges against me for child porn and solicitation of a minor. I now know it was a scam and the girl I thought I was talking to probably never existed and this person was just trying to scare me into sending money to avoid getting into some serious trouble. This really freaked me out, but luckily I just blocked the number and nothing more came from this horrible situation. But this was still an absolutely terrible situation and there really should be some sort of user verification to avoid this sort of thing. Please just fix this problem before someone really gets hurt and this app would be sooo much better..Version: 3.4.1

Okay but too many glitches.I would give more starts due to having had some good conversations that have led to some great connections and friendships. Probably more Christian men that have been serious about real dates than any other app I’ve used. Unfortunately there are too many glitches on this app that it actually makes an impact on the quality of the conversations. The app is supposed to be a safe introduction to meeting someone without having to give out your personal email or phone number quite yet but you can’t actually engage in a conversation without the app switching pictures and people, deleting messages, kicking you completely out of the app for hours or days making people think you ghosted them. The costumer service isn’t helpful even after months of it glitching so terribly. The matching system is also an issue. I swipe no on someone then they show up in the pile over and over again. So you end up eventually looking through the same people even though it shows pictures of people you’ve never actually seen in the pile in the “see who has liked you” advertisement. This is supposedly a “Christian” dating app but there are also other religions on here; Mormons, Catholics, Orthodox Jews, Muslims, etc. There should be a more in depth application process or something..Version: 4.15.0

I found my husband on this app!I usually don’t write reviews but this app is the exception! I had tried different apps hoping to find my “one” to no avail. I had just about given up hope when I came across this app. I decided to give it another shot as this was a Christian app and I had never been on one before. Not even a week in I matched with this guy an hour away from me. We hit it off immediately and facetimed almost every day. He told me his cousin convinced him to get the app as he bad never tried online dating before. (Thank goodness he did!) On our first date we both had that “God moment” where a voice in our heads both told us “they’re the one” loud and clear. We continued dating and, a few months later, he proposed! Fast forward to almost a year from when we first met: we said “I do” in my childhood church. We have no doubt that God used this app to bring us together. We have been married for almost 6 months now and continue to have a blast every day. He is truly my best friend and I cannot thank the Lord or Upward enough for sending me the man of my dreams! We are so grateful for you and cannot wait to continue our journey together! -The Smiths..Version: 3.5.0

Mixed feelings tbh. Love and dislike itI downloaded this during quarantine. Things ive noticed you can’t see who likes you unless you match. I wish there was a way to see who liked me. There may be people i skipped over or never saw there. I have matches but people barely message on there. So its a little discouraging maybe offer a video chat feature. Also i noticed that there are people on there that aren’t even Christian. It’s literally a Christian dating app. People are “ spiritual “ that don’t even consider themselves Christian... that’s weird to me. I would think on a Christian Dating app that people are actually doing on there to date not be casual. I’ve noticed some people are on there looking to get there freak on... like go on tinder or something. Sorry I’m sure the creators of the app have great intentions. I wish there was a way to be selective on the app i never know where people i match with are from. I’m african american and a women and barely see any men that are black. I don’t discriminate i love em all... but it would be nice to be shown some people like me. Most of the people i see are hunters, fishermen etc😭i love jesus but man im getting discouraged with who i see. To sum all that up Can there be a paid maybe 2.99 feature to see who liked you😫?please.Version: 2.0.15

Looks good, has potential, needs time to growI’ve used the app for about half an hour, and for an app that’s 2 weeks old, I’m pretty impressed. Some things to consider though: First, because it’s a new app, there’s not a whole lot of profiles to swipe on, for me anyways. I live in a developing, midsize, college town in a semi rural area. I had 4 or 5 profiles within 10 miles away and 6 or 7 in the nearest big city an hour away. After that I started getting a bunch of profiles 100+ miles away. Second, a distance filter would be nice. I could see people in my area and not see people I’d never interact with in person. I’ll update my review once I use the app longer and hopefully get at least one match. Update: I’ve used the app for about a year and have had mixed results. Nice to see that they’ve added a likes screen and that the community has grown. On the other hand, I’ve only had 3 or 4 genuine conversations with my matches and have been unmatched/ghosted a lot, but that’s what happens on apps and what you get when you have a generation of very entitled women. Would be nice to have read receipts so I can tell if my match has seen my message. Overall the app works really well and maybe you’ll have better luck than me..Version: 2.3.0

There’s some problemsI was really excited to come across this app since its really difficult to find Christians on dating apps. But I started noticing that the profiles sound similar and there’s A LOT of fake profiles with model looking pictures. Once you start talking to these people you can quickly see their words don’t match their pictures and they don’t write like someone from the US. Then they want to talk on Whatsapp…. if you are sitting in the US, you can just regular text. I’ve done Google reverse image on some of the profiles and sure enough….. the pictures actually belong to a model or influencer or something like that. There needs to be a way to verify the profiles and set up a way for someone to get enough information without leaving the app until you are ready to chat off the app. And possibly have a way to video or voice call or just send a video or send voice messages within the app. It’s not a really big deal for me but most of the matches are at least 100 miles away. Chatting online used to be fun and a way to meet people to talk to or build a relationship with but I feel like this is just another way to get disappointed on apps. And people are using this app to prey on Christians who are good hearted..Version: 3.13.0

Almost thereThis is one of the better apps I’ve used, but it’s got a couple of glaring core issues. First of all, the proximity of the button to swipe left, and the super-like button. I have fat fingered the super like button on people I had no interest in. A simple “are you sure?” popup notification would go miles towards improving the app, because I now take super likes way less seriously than I would otherwise because for all I know it was accidental. Why pay to see who liked me when it was probably an accident? Second issue is the distance filtering. If someone lives 100 miles away from me, I should never be showing up on their feed, and I should have the option to hide myself from their feed. I have more likes from people out of state that people nearby I could feasibly meet. This is another factor that makes me say “heck no” to buying premium, because why would I pay to see a like from someone who is likely a 3 hour drive away?!? The distance sorting in preferences needs to be a dealbreaker, not a suggestion. Until then, I can’t justify paying money for this app and recommend others don’t either..Version: 4.4.0

They’re on to something great!I think the app interface is simple and to the point which I love, I’m also someone who actually pays for “Elite”. One of the worst features is lack of location filter. It’s very frustrating when you’re reading a profile and you’re thinking “oh she seems like my type I would love to talk to her” only to find out that he’s 100+ miles away and you’re coming across way too many profiles of individuals who live 50+ miles away. This also leads to another issue because I’m noticing I’m spending more time than I would want to on the app because I come across maybe 5 profiles out of 20 who actually live in my area (I live in a metropolitan area). So outside of that I also wish there was a verification process like a photo to ensure you’re who you say you are. With that being said I think the developers are on to something great however after my current subscription end I’m not 100% sure I’m going to renew it because there’s another Christian dating app that apparently has a photo verification and location filter. I may just try it out after I’m done here however if you’re trying Upward for the first time I think you’ll enjoy it just keep in mind of the lack of location filter..Version: 2.2.0

Met the love of my life & married him 9 months later! ❤️I downloaded this app after looking at other online dating options. I honestly didn’t want to spend money on a subscription and I was hoping to find something for Christians. While I found there were a lot of guys on the app who were saying they were Christian without true faith and trust in Christ, I did actually chat with a handful of guys who seemed serious about their faith. When I started talking to my now-husband, we connected immediately and shared phone numbers. Two weeks later, we met in person. 4 months after that, he asked me to marry him! We have now been married for over a year and have a baby girl. We are grateful and feel so blessed that God used this app to bring us together. About the app itself- I liked that it was simple, easy to use, and didn’t have especially lengthy bios. You only chatted with people who were also interested in you and it felt like you could pretty quickly and easily get a sense for if it could go somewhere with that person. It worked for me, so I definitely have to recommend! ☺️.Version: 3.5.0

Great Concept, Could Be Executed BetterIt would be great if FTH took a few more hints from other dating apps. Not only should distance filters be a bit better, but if someone likes you, the app should display them first so you can easily see who likes you and if you’re interested. Better that than occasionally seeing that someone has liked you but then swiping and swiping and never getting a match. Having a way to backtrack to the last person after an accidental swipe left would be super nice too. I love the concept because my faith is super important to me and I wouldn’t want to date someone who wasn’t a christian, but the whole app just feels a little clunky and hard to actually find matches on. Update: reducing it from 3 stars to 2 stars after the app lost a match I had with the same girl twice in a row in a period of about fifteen minutes. Unbelievable. If the app can’t even remember who matched with whom, what’s even the point? Update 2: dropping to 1 star after it did it a third time with the SAME girl in the course of another ten minutes. Y’all need to seriously work on your UI; it’s garbage.Version: 2.0.4

I’m Glad I Swiped Right! The last two weeks of my life have been amazing! I was in a really low place in life, searching, wondering, hoping, and it seemed like there was no end in sight. One day I swiped on this incredible woman. I didn’t have any real hopes because I’d been rejected so much and I was used to putting in a ton of effort and not getting much response. The thing that struck me most about her at first was how much she talked. She didn’t send one line messages like a lot of girls, she sent long, comprehensive messages and asked questions and answered my questions. I led with theology and she pressed into that, rather than avoiding it. Our first date was a sporting event in the park and it was a huge success. The more I got to know her the more wonderful it became. Our theology aligned so well and she was so open to opening the Bible and being taught by me. Of course, that has more to do with the person I found than the app I found them on, but I’m extremely grateful Yahweh used this app to guide me towards such an amazing person. I already put a ring on it and hopefully soon family on the way!.Version: 4.16.0

Good luck getting verifiedI will change this review to a 5 in a heartbeat if I can get verified. I like the concept and I understand the concept but the truth of the matter is the verification process is atrocious!! I uploaded my profile picture the same day I tried to get verified and it won’t let me verified. I followed the steps to a T and it still tells me to “please try again you are not in the oval” so instinctively you would think you would need to reframe yourself to be in line with the requirements that it is asking you right? Yeah… but you are wrong! I then proceeded to keep trying until I got it right. Fast forward a few days lately and I have found a solution. A solution that I do not want… I decided to delete a previous photo I had on my profile picture and upload a new one from real time. I select “open camera” on the app and take a photo to make it my profile picture and then I try to re-verify my account and wala it works! However I do not want that selfie I just took as my profile picture… so I delete that photo and then proceed to upload the photo I just took a few days prior and then the most magical thing happens… I lose my verification. Please help, Thanks 🙏🏼.Version: 4.14.1

Surprisingly Not The WorstDating apps are awful, let’s be honest. However, I am surprised by Upward for the most part. The interface is simple, the quality of potentials are some of the best of all the apps, messaging is made simple when you do get a match. Now the cons…perhaps this is just me but the application itself has glitches/defects, for instance, I can change all my preferences and it continuously resets them or shows potentials that aren’t within the parameters of my preferences. Not the end of the world but for every 1 person that was in my area it showed 10 that were like 300+ miles away. On the likes/subscription side, I have heard multiple people say including myself that it will show you have X amount of likes, but no matter the swiping you do will never come across many of them, and that you have to pay for premium to ever see them. Frustrating to say the least. Overall verdict: easy to use/people are transparent about what they want/quality of potentials is great but the bugs/fixes and subscription definitely makes it frustrating..Version: 5.2.0

The good and the badIt’s a great platform, great idea, the features that they have in the profile are excellent, concise to the point. Love that they have a bio and a spot to share about faith. That’s all good. Here’s the bad: Seems like people don’t get it. They give half-a answers, or just repeat themselves in both spaces. Maybe dating apps should come with tutorials on how to present oneself? Or like, here’s where you should be in maturity, emotional Development to function well on here. The people who occupy the space on this app, it’s rough. Like, just because it’s Christians doesn’t mean standards fly out the door… I nearly want to start a business in helping people create bios and choose photos. Those who have good profiles, don’t actually participate, it feels like there’s just good profiles you match with to keep you going. Just disheartening. Not the app creators fault. They’ve done wonderful advertising attractive men on the app to grab attractive women… but maybe they can market upward in all areas? It almost feels like, “I’m Christian that should be good enough to grab your interest.”.Version: 2.20.0

Fairly Solid For A “Christian” AppOf all the Christian apps I’ve downloaded I’d say this is the second best. It’s got a large user base and is user friendly. It’s basically just like any of the other dating apps that are out there which also partly makes me think it is designed and owned by one of the major players like tinder or bumble or someone. I say that because there’s filters like “I’m here for 1. Friends 2. Casual 😉 3. Dating 4. Marriage” and it’s asks you to list if you smoke weed and how often. Now obviously Christians smoke week and hook up (casual) with people but if you’re truly and God honoring Christian who loves Jesus and attends church weekly, you’re probably not creating an app with those questions. So… if you’re looking for a serious Christian, this app probably isn’t your top choice but there’s still a vast number of Christian singles on here so it may be worth your time. Compared to the other app I’m thinking of though this one isn’t close. The other one asks a lot of questions to start but is legit a Christian app for Christians who are serious about Jesus and dating with intention. This is just tinder with a more specific user base..Version: 2.20.0

Upward Christian fellowship & datingThis app is great and helps Christians find “their Boaz or Ruth”. You sign up by giving your phone number and confirming the code. You click on the right-hand corner and can add your information as well as a picture. You're given various options to help you find your match faster. A lot of people are confused with Catholicism and born-again Christians. The matches are made by your personal preferences and distance. I keep seeing that many users are American and the distance is 250 most times. App developers if you see this please assist me in having matches based on my area, please..Version: 4.16.0

C3I agree with Chrrisy@Elevation’s review. A lot of people on this app are confused between Catholicism and Christianity. Like there’s a huge difference and you can’t categorize a faith based relationship with God with someone who believes in a priest. You can clearly tell in their bio who is really christian and who’s not, but it’s so much work to have to filter through. It honestly just makes me question the people who made this app like do they even know the difference?? Also the distance thing like why is the radius so far?????.Version: 2.0.7

No reasonable filters? It’s really odd how you can’t really filter people by religion or radius. I don’t have the elite version, so it’s hard to tell if people are legit swiping right on me when I got like 300+ likes in the first couple of days. Without the elite version and without filters, you could be swiping all day which can be a big waste of time and a poor user experience. I appreciate what the app currently is as it has great potential, but it’s definitely a struggle for me when I would like to meet someone from a specific religion..Version: 3.9.0

DistanceIs this only for people who live in the U.S?? Because I live in Quebec and everyone I bump into live over 200 miles away which makes it impossible to meet up.Version: 2.0.4

Happily ever after!I never would have thought I would have met the love of my life on a dating app. It was so hard to find someone with the same faith and morals while also being someone I could fall in love with. Upward helped me find the man of my dreams 1.5 hours away in December of 2021. We are now engaged and planning a wedding. So grateful to Upward in helping with my happily ever after!!.Version: 3.17.0

Glad it’s Christian-focused, but needs workI like the setup of the profiles, with a good mix of a photos, text, and prompts. I like the opportunity for each person to express what faith means to them, because that is something I’d like to be on the same page about. The feed has been frustrating as it continues to show me profiles I have swiped “no” on, or worse, profiles I have previously matched with, then decided to unmatch with. Why is this not accounted for in the algorithm? I had a conversation with this person, maybe even dated them, and I/they/we decided it wasn’t the right fit. I met my ex on this app and we had a very painful breakup. Now I’m afraid I’ll come across his profile and be triggered by that! If there are no more profiles to show me, then say so! You can recommend I change my filters so I can see more profiles. As well, there are many Canadians on this app, so please give us the option to select if we want kilometres or miles for our radius. I have no concept of what 23 miles is..Version: 5.5.2

Denomination?Hey so I noticed that protestant isn’t on there. I know it’s a big term that has a lot of different groups in it but it should be there..Version: 5.4.0

Great appMy girlfriend and I both downloaded this app about a year and a half ago as a joke. 1 year later, we’re happily in love and spend all of our free time together. This app is sweet if your trying to find Christians in your area. I found a cute short ginger..Version: 5.3.0

I found loveI used this app a few years ago and didn't work out but I tried one more time a year and half ago and I met love of my life and we getting married here pretty soon. God has awesome and unexpected ways..Version: 5.1.0

Good app, but needs country filtersIt would be super helpful if you could filter by country. As a Canadian who lives near the border (which is most of us lol) and wanting to date other Canadians for simplicity, this feature would be so appreciated!!.Version: 4.14.0

Successful matchI met my now husband on this app 3 years ago during the peak of the pandemic. We’re now happily married with a 3 month old baby. I’d say FTH (now Upward) deserves 5/5 stars from us!.Version: 4.7.0

Trying to upgradeHi! I’m having a hard time trying to upgrade! I click on the continue button to upgrade but it just won’t upgrade and I can’t see any of my matches or interests 🥹.Version: 4.7.0
