Very good but a few downsidesIt works very well. Three main things I have to complaints about. One is that sometimes it randomly disconnects after having it on for a long time. Two is that it doesn’t work for things it previously did. (For example crunchyroll). Three some of the presets might not work as well as stated. On crunchyroll now it goes back a ton when you block an ad, now it’s easily fixable since you just have to skip back to where the ad was skipped as it tells you where all the ads are. The only other problem is that now it isn’t free and I don’t want to pay for any subscription atm, but if I can I soon will. Honestly while it was a free adblocker and now isn’t, as long as it still works I can say that it’ll probably be just as good paid as free..AgsglassVersion: 6.0.1

Works well but..Now i had this app back then for a 2-3 months and it really worked. It blocked any ads I used to get on Crunchyroll and games I used to play on my phone. But unfortunately, some glitchy stuff started to happen on my phone, the wifi would be slower and not work for me. And would cause my apps to glitch and lag out of the app. I don’t know if anyone has noticed but when you activate this app or feature, the VPN option appears on your phone’s settings, and when it appeared for me, the option of turning on/off on the VPN would glitch as well. It would sometimes turn off and on in a matter of seconds by itself, when I wasn’t even doing anything. It would turn on, then off, then on again, and back to off again, over and over again until it stopped by itself. So after a while, it made my phone even more glitchy and laggy, and slow, at first I thought my phone was sort of broken. But after searching and trying to figure out what was wrong, I deleted the app and my phone was back to normal and worked fine..Audrey DarejVersion: 23.1.1

Yes & noOk so this would have gotten a five IF it didn’t stop everything on my phone so when I got it I tested it on a game I knew had a lot of ads and the first time it didn’t work but then it started to work and I was surprised but then no pictures would pop up like let’s say I was on SoundCloud none of the song pictures came up it was just gray and so I turned the app off for the five minutes and my SoundCloud started back up and I couldn’t go onto the App Store because it was somehow blocking my Wi-Fi and I thought there was something wrong with my phone but I genuinely didn’t care all I did was turn off the app when I needed my wifi and when I didn’t want ads I would turn it back on but after a few weeks that got annoying and so I asked my brother who originally got me to download the app if his phone was doing the same and he said yeah but he was in the “I don’t really care stage “.平氏じょぃえんVersion: 5.18

Minor IssueI use this to block ads on Crunchyroll since their ads are long and it works perfectly although there was time it didn’t work; I was able to to fix that though so it’s not an issue! Anyway this is the first app to actually work for me and it’s great since it also has a VPN installed! Edit: So I still use this as blocker for crunchyroll and i’ve been having a really annoying problem. Ever time it blocks an ad it immediately takes me like 10 minutes before the ad started and i have to go back in and skip past all of that since i would have already watched that part of the video. Used to be greatI want to start this review off by saying that I have been using this app for a few months and it has worked perfectly. I used it for Crunchyroll and I got no ads. But recently I started noticing I kept getting a bunch of ads on everything, when I went to go check the app it said that it was disabled and when I tried to turn it back on it said that my subscription ran out even though I didn’t have premium and now every time I try to use it it says that I need to renew my subscription. It was good at first..I found the app after looking for a new vpn app and I randomly stumbled across Blockada I loved it no annoying adds except for the select few apps wich I was okay with. A little while ago I realized that I was getting more adds and was a little bit confused. So I went to the app and the add blocker was off when I turn it on it said I had to pay for it. I looked in the reviews and seeing a lot of people leaving the same review I’m leaving now. It was truly a really really good app I would give it a five star but…. I don’t understand why now I have to pay for it when before it was free. Can’t believe it works!This might be my first review of an app, but I had to echo everyone else and say this thing works. I have a kid who plays some game appps, and those ads were getting so ridiculous. I would be fine paying for games, but many don’t even bother and just want ad revenue. After researching, Blokada, came up a lot, and I figured I had nothing to lose, but I still wasn’t sure if it would work. Downloaded, and added all the options for block lists in the advance section, and they was it. my kid was able to play his games without stopping every 30 seconds. Wonderful app with very few drawbacksPositive-seems to be an app that does what it says it does, without much of the sales lingo that sounds fancy but adds nothing. It works across many apps used, and I would recommend it for Most people. Negative-there seem to be a few false positives/unintended legitimate services blocked, which I understand is hard to be perfect about. If a site or service or app doesn’t seem to connect, temporarily disabling or turning off the feature seems to fix the issue. The negatives are the only reason this isn’t a 5 star app for me. Almost amazing app!!!First of all, this app is amazing. It gives you full control over your privacy by blocking requests being made from your phone. Thank you team for making this app!!! However, I think there’s one feature missing from making this 5 stars from a usability standpoint: filter by manually allowed. There are times where the blocking is too strict and I want to override the settings. But I run into an issue where the allowed header/domain isn’t the right one so I want to undo what I allowed. Served it’s purpose.I’ve had this app to use not only for Crunchyroll but other apps. It worked fine for a long time until it stopped working totally. I open the app, see what’s up and then it’s talking about “free trial is expired for blockada plus” and I’m over here wondering why it says that when I’ve never spent money on the app. Then I concluded that I assume for the time that it was free, it was a free trial? Who knows except you guys. Either way, I wish there was a notification or anything to indicate that the company wanted money. Does EXACTLY what I need it to!!!I wanted to use this app to block ads within app games I use. almost every game I play has ads and makes you pay to remove ads. the ads are SO frequent and I was getting so annoyed!! Really goodEither this was a glitch or Blokada was free until now but, it’s still really great. I was able to watch Funimation and Crunchyroll without seeing ads(witch is perfect for watching a show when it has ads in it)anyways, since I don’t have money(because im 13) I won’t be using it anymore because it isn’t free. But it also blocks ads on the internet(which it should) but, it doesn’t block ads on YouTube(sadly). Pretty good besides miscommunicationHonestly the app is pretty good, there were a few times where it wouldn't block anything, but I soon realized I just needed to update it. But, around 2 days ago it said my subscription ended on my ipad? I wasn't aware that I was even on a subscription , it was fine on my phone until today. It said the same thing. Amazing, but some bugs!Hello, I just want to say that this app is absolutely AMAZING 😻 I used this app in the past which was like a month ago but after a few weeks my phone kept on lagging so I had to delete this and re install it :( but, I heard this helps for blocking ads on crunchyroll, I’ll go look at that soon! REALLY GOOD…. until the free version runs out.I 100% recommended blockada to anyone who needs to block ads and I’m not saying it’s a bad ad blocker, but once the free trial runs out it becomes completely useless unless you pay of course. Work Perfectly, But Good Things Aren’t FreeA friend recommended this to me while we were watching Demon Slayer on a Discord call and told me how Blokada would take away the annoying ads from Crunchyroll. Um the app is good but?When I activated this and pressed the block button there were ten times as more ads, and the list shows how much stuff was blocked which were unknown sites, so I looked the sites up and it gives me an error so I’m kinda confused. Free and then not?I loved this ad blocker it blocked all those annoying ads on most of my boredom games. It worked very well too. But just recently it quit blocking ads, turned it off then on again and nothing. Great app, terrible communicationI loved this adblocker, it worked great for everything I needed it for, and best of all, was free. Now today I open this app and I need to pay to continue using it. Charges but does not upgrade to Blokada+I tried to subscribe for the one month package to see how it goes. It charges the amount from my Apple ID balance and I see it in my subscriptions with renewal turned on but inside the app, it keeps saying they could not process the payment and I have not been charged - which doesn’t seem accurate. What an unprofessional way to handle a major changeSo, Blokada updates on my iPad this morning. Suddenly no ads being blocked , nada. Go to the app and get the free trial has expired message. Uh, what free trial? So, I'm not completely dense, I see what's happened. I decide the app is worth keeping at least for the free trial period while I decide what to do. But, after following instructions and signing up for trial nothing works, no ads being blocked. Not only couldn't they bother to warn us about the change they couldn't tell us how to correctly keep using the app. Bottom line, the vpn that Blokada had been using needs to go away. So, I just removed and reinstalled app, chose the Blokada dns and everything seems to be working fine. Sad thing is this is an app I will happily pay for when it is working well. I just have a big pet peeve about poor communications at best and purposely hiding the Change until it occurs at worse. This either shows, bad judgment , ineptitude, arrogance, disrespect or maybe all the above. Bottom line, it torques me off the way I was treated as a customer. Minus stars for you until I cool down. A little issueBefore I decided to write a review on this app I read the other reviews and it seems like other people who have downloaded the app have the same problem that I am having. I’ve had this app for a good bit of time and it worked really well, no adds on any apps (or websites) popped up for me. Until this one game I started playing popped up an add. So I went to the app to make sure it was on and it wasn’t so I turned it on and it kept asking me to subscribe to their monthly or yearly plan. I’ve never had to pay for this app and it never stated I was using a free trial so I was confused. Then after checking on the App Store and reading these reviews I noticed everyone else has to same issues. But then I also noticed people with the app had wifi problems, then I remembered that I did to and the wifi for my whole family was going out a couple of times. I’m pretty sure this app had something to do with it. Maybe…When I first downloaded this app around 2-3 months ago, it was working perfectly fine. But about a month into using this app, my Wi-Fi suddenly shuts down for around 3 weeks. Worked a treat, but after an Apple update, Blokada took the nuclear option in responseSo before the 6.0 update, this app worked great. Then Apple changed things about the way Blokada interacted with the system and it still worked, just Less so. Instead of continuing to allow users access to the limited version of the app while explaining the limits and up selling the "Complete" solution, they decided to axe everything but the paid solution with no warning. This is a Terrible way to handle such a drastic change. Especially when the fault was Originally Apple's. Instead of working with their users after Apple's change, they decided to go ham on the paid subscriptions while trying to blame Apple exclusively. Something that would have been accurate had they not gutted the app. ;? A traitor among men.During the dark ages of the pandemic there was one app. One saving grace. One thing we felt like we could rely upon. Blokada. Completely broke my LTE and I didn’t realize it for foreverFor a long time now I thought there was a huge problem with my carrier or even my phone where I simply could not use any data. I was just bearing with it for a while and recently decided to try and fix it by switching carriers. Nope, didn’t help. Reset all network settings, nope didn’t help. Turns out I had this installed from like a year ago. They switched to a premium plan or something I guess? Not only did they not notify anyone of anything, they kept the broken vpn activated for everyone? Not only that but they made it so you CAN NOT DISABLE the broken VPN that is ruining everything? I have no problem if you need to switch to a paid program, sure gotta do something to sustain it. But maybe simply disable the vpn and ad blocking instead of silently breaking everything. I don’t even remember installing this so I was on the verge of just considering this to be a hardware problem or damage to my phone, until miraculously I realized I could access google and nothing else. Then I found vpn settings somewhere that said blokada, and then I found the app and uninstalled it. Thank god that cleared the vpn settings! Anyway, yeah the user experience was similar to that of ransomware. Switched to a subscription based model??Been using the app for years, download up update because I think to myself their might be some updated features and quality of life improvement. Nope, complete opposite… You go from being completely free to use, giving more power to what consumers choose not to see to undermining your user base by switching your model to a subscription based one while also having high rates to use a product that was free at one point. I never have left a review for an app before because if an update killed it I would uninstall and move on. This however just didn’t sit right with me and it speaks volumes that their “customer service” is just a bunch of bots getting you to fill out a form about your experience. Bamboozled..I can't begin to tell you how upsetting this is..I absolutely loved this app. It did what it was supposed to do. I had this app for months and was super impressed with it. Blokada is literally the best (EDIT) No it ain’t.Blokada blocks everything you don’t want, including ads, trackers, and any website in the entire world. The only bad thing I would say is that Blokada is TOO good. I had to realize that a link I had blocked in Blokada was actually giving me access to the App Store and I wiped all the information and data on my device thinking it was the only solution when all I had to do was turn the darn thing off. Other than that, this app is perfect for making ad services hate you. Turns Itself OffSo I downloaded this app because I use the meme app iFunny and they started spamming me with ads and I wanted to block trackers too. I downloaded this app, even paid for a subscription because it worked so well, and then I go to check my activity in the app and my VPN shut itself off, the ad blocker shut itself off, and I couldn’t turn anything back on. I made sure the app was updated which it was, so I deleted the app and reinstalled it which fixed the issue. Then the same thing happened the next day. And the next. And the next. DisappointedThis app was very useful when it was free and i understand what happened but changing it without informing your users was a bad idea. I’d definitely 100% pay for your services but please make the prices more reasonable. $20 can be a huge turnoff for everyone and you have to understand that your app had many users because of the free trials. Going from free to $20 is a big difference and you’ll probably lose a lot of your users. I would pay $20/yr but i don’t believe many others will so i’ll hold off as well. Worked great until it didn't 👎It was a great app. It protected me from ads online and even worked on the Crunchyroll app. It made me forget ads existence on the internet. Until one day, I kept getting porno ads online a lot, and I mean A LOT. I checked all of my ad blockers before I came to this one. I saw it was deactivated, then tried turning it on. It didn't work, so I tried again, but this time it said your free trial has expired. What free trial! It was so good too, and when I tried activating it again, it would take me to the paid plans. I think it was also slowing down my internet too. For some reason, whenever I got on the internet, it would take forever to load pages. Making me do a subscription..?I downloaded the app a little over a month and it was working perfectly fine, I use for games and other stuff like that, and now it’s telling me, “VPN has expired. Uses way to much batteryThis app does what it says, has good VPN and blocks most ads on third party Apps. The original reason I installed it was to stop add trackers and draining my battery. A year later and new phone (13 pro vs old X) it’s now according to the battery center on the iPhone using 57% of the phones battery and by far the biggest drain on it. Don’t know what happened but I’m about to uninstall as I can’t keep my phone running all day without plugging it in halfway through a normal day. Old phone could go two days on the off chance I forgot to charge the night before. If not for that rather huge issue 5 stars for sure. Big Problem or GlitchBlokada was very efficient before but today when I attempted to use it I was shown a subscription and told that Blokada+ had expired despite using the free subscription from what I remember and now I cannot use it and have no clue on the fact if it was intentional which if it is I will simply delete Blokada or if it was a glitch of some-sort although I’m not sure since my attempt at communicating has failed and I have no other choice but to wait for an answer or explanation. I NEED HELPI had this app for a long time and it worked AMAZING BUT about a month ago when I use blockada to skip ads it’ll take me back about 5 minutes from where I was in the video and I didn’t mind it still skipped the ads but now the app says my free trial expired and doesn’t do anything anymore.
