Great app!Love this app and the tones. Everything used to work fine until updatw 1.0.3. But i see that the latest 1.04 update fixed the crash of the stand-alone app when trying to connect to ToneNET. Crashes accessing toneNet (updated)Updating my review. Happy to see ToneNet crashing issue appears to be fixed in this latest build (1.0.4). The previous build (1.0.3) crashed instantly upon selecting ToneNet. Other reviews mentioning this problem are older. The app is pretty slick. Tube Tones without a doubtThis is not only a rival to Fractal for sound quality, but easily matches or beats any hardware profiler while costing vastly less to use and get started with. AmazingThis is the closest to real amps that I’ve ever heard from digital modelers. Completely blow away by the realism. Especially the fenders. Used modelers that cost way more and sound worst. Great App, Sporadically Fails to loadFantastic AUV3 for bringing (studio) desktop and (live) TONEX Pedal tones into an iOS environment. Version 1.2.1 sporadically fails to load with Loopy Pro host. I’ve reported to Loopy Pro. They’ve investigated and reported back that it appeared to be TONEX issue. Hopefully this can be looked into for a future update..UGMstudioVersion: 1.2.1

So Far So GoodSo Far So Good To be honest I have my doubts and I have been displeased with this company in general (IK multimedia) maybe it’s because they do what suits themselves best in lining their pockets! Example I have paid and bought multiple in app purchases for SampleTank which has now been abandonware for near 5 years, No AUV3 no updates no nothing! I then also bought into the app iGrand Piano and bought in app purchases as well which has now been abandonware for over seven years, no AUV3 no updates no nothing! So it does seem to an extent and fair to say a disingenuous company with lack of concern and loyalty and care in regards to the people that pay their salaries. Regarding Tonex I tried the free version and was relatively pleased and especially more so with some of the free captures I acquired on their user base ToneNet I decided I would like to upgrade the software and notice that at times they have sales and special pricing on their direct online website. So I was able to buy the software for $99 less $20 jam points and thankfully snagged it for $79 Being aware they have the Tonex pedal which was not of any interest as I perceived it as more expensive but at the same time limiting as well as I think it’s USB out capabilities is limited to 44.1 kHz and of course the fact that with limited computing not being able to run parallel amps and effects if so desired. So my intention is to use the app in conjunction with Cubasis for recording and AUM for general practice, jam and live playing as AUM would allow far greater versatility and multiple instances to allow parallel amp chaining and endless variation of additional effects. I will say I find it very quick to be able to get really good tones with minimal effort. I have many of the other guitar amp simulators and I find that I typically spend and consume and waste too much time fiddling and tweaking and twiddling which inevitably hinders my actual time of playing/practice and creative pursuits. So in this regard I most definitely give Tonex a thumbs up and hope that maybe they would port their AmpliTube 5 desktop software over to iPad OS as well to allow further integration. Last but not least I hope that they will stand behind this product and hopefully all the aforementioned products with ongoing continual support and product enhancement..TheewanderingsoulVersion: 1.0.6

Convoluted SoftwareI love the hardware, but their software doesn’t get common tasks done. You own TONEX MAX (equally as bad) and have a TONEX Pedal, and you have everything including your iRig HD X registered to the same account. You would think all of you presets, purchases and cab IR’s would be available on both apps, right? They are NOT. You are stuck with only the free stuff off of ToneNet on this app. Now, who is writing this software? Don’t they understand what owners of this fine hardware need to do to get their tones working…and working everywhere? Apparently not. What a shame! Such excellent, capable hardware crippled by crap software. IKM, get your act together. There are many excellent sounding alternatives out there. Pretty sad that app won’t load on several devices completel garbageUseless garbage. Unable to use it because the app does not load. It would be great if they can focus on quality not quantity. Do we need this?AmpliTube 5 with auv3 support would be better but I guess that makes too much sense. Ik Multimedia is pretty much old news as far as IPad apps goes, they used to be ahead of the game, now they’re behind and it seems like nobody there are using common sense as far as developing apps for the IPad goes, I’ve invested hundreds over the years in Ik Multimedia apps and in app purchases and aside from MixBox they are all obsolete and have been bad investments over the long term, and that could have been changed if auv3 had been implemented in them. Be awareI got this app so I can use it on a mobile basis on gigs. After weeks of working with IK Multimedia about the app not booting up at gigs I was finally told that if I had any presets downloaded from ToneNet that I would then always need a WiFi connection for the app to load (authorization check for downloaded presets require an internet connection). So if you intend on using this app on a mobile basis you can forget it. It won’t boot up without a internet connection. They need to fix this.36BluesVersion: 1.2.1

My setup works fine for years in Amplitube, Tonestack, GE Labs, Jamup Pro & Moog Model D. No documentation mentions my any hardware restriction or limitation.
