Seasonality Go turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete weather center. Gathering data from sources all over the world, Seasonality Go is the last weather app you’ll ever need.

For the iPad, Seasonality Go provides several built-in screen layouts, and also allows you to create your very own screens with exactly the weather data you want to see.

On the iPhone, Seasonality Go presents all the same data in a clean view of the past, present, and future weather.

The interface in both versions of Seasonality Go have been optimized to dedicate as much of the screen as possible to showing weather data. No extra cruft and never any ads. Some key features of Seasonality Go include:

• Search over 65,000 pre-defined locations in more than 200 countries, or use your device’s built-in GPS to get precise local weather data anywhere in the world.
• Current weather conditions and astronomical data like sunrise/sunset times and moon phase.
• A 7 day forecast in a day/night view or a 3 hourly view.
• Graphs for 10 weather variables including temperature, wind speed, precipitation, cloud cover and more…
• Animated map with radar imagery in the US, Canada, and Australia; and infrared satellite imagery worldwide.
• A surface analysis map layer showing fronts and high/low pressure centers over North America.
• A worldwide wind simulator called Particle Mode.

Seasonality Go App Comments & Reviews

Seasonality Go Positive Reviews

Closest to perfection....This is the first version of this app I have purchased, so earlier ones must have had serious problems for the average to be only 2.5 stars. I have used a total of seven or eight apps -- currently this one, plus Weather Bug, TWC Max+, and the very specialized Bolt Meter. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, but I particularly like the versatility of display options and the predicted timeline detail on Seasonality Go. Altogether, it makes excellent use of the real estate of the iPad screen. I would like to have given it 4.5 stars, but since that is not an option, it gets 4. To get 5 from me, any weather app must have a serious current conditions map, with isobars, highs/lows, fronts, etc. A couple of them have feeble versions, but nothing with the credibility of those on TWC website, for example, which remains my fallback. Very puzzling why no app has this info built-in, esp. TWC itself..Version: 4.8

Best weather appThough a tad pricey at $9.99, Seasonality Go offers present weather conditions and predictions - and for the weather elements that interest you. And, differentiating it from other weather applications, you can also review past weather data. My one complaint was that it was far from obvious how to customize the app's screens, and I had to go to the support site to figure things out. Onboard help would have improved this. On the other hand, the web site support was good. This app is even better than their Mac application, Seasonality. If you're curious before buying, go to the web support site for details of additional functionality built into this app. Note: To change size of modules, use the finger spread or pinch method. The way to do this wasn't covered in help. There was just an indicator that it was possible to change sizes..Version: 0

The Best Weather App you are going to find.I have 3 Weather Radar Apps 3 General Weather Apps The App beats everything else hands down. I have Over 800 hundred apps. One of them I have spent close to $100 dollars on in app purchases. This one rates in the top 5 that I own. Now I have the new version 3.0 and it is on my phone. Phenomenal. Hands down the finest and weather app on any phone. Coming back years later since I wrote the first paragraph I just created a new layout with all the info place exactly where I want it. Easy no work I think the programmer and his team are incredible..Version: 4.7

One of the very best weather apps.I’ve used many different weather apps over many years and Seasonality Go is outstanding and accurate. It is a full-featured weather app and I really like the fact, among other features, that it has a direct link to the NWS Forecast Discussion. I use it on my iPhone, iPad and Mac Studio computer. Great work by the developer!.Version: 4.8

One of the bestWhat stands out with this weather app is the amount of information available. I no longer own a car, and I ride my bike everywhere. I rely on Seasonality Go to see the weather and really understand it: radar, graphs, and, especially, a cool way to visualize wind so that I can intuitively see where it's coming from and how fast it's blowing. Great app!.Version: 4.0

Like the UpdateSeasonality has the best map, and best 10-day view. I also have Storm, Dark Sky, RadarScope, etc which do well during the day. I like the Seasonality customizing .... I'm constantly re-arranging for my tastes. If I wanted to improve Seasonality, I'd look at the hourly world. I also have Seasonality Pro ... mainly use that for detailed views over a larger geography..Version: 4.0

Seasonality is still the bestI love being able to see air currents and precipitation in real time- which the standard Apple weather app omits. Ive had Seasonality for years and still go back to it. Thanks to the developers!.Version: 4.8

I really like itI’ve tried all the weather apps but this one just fits right. It gives me everything I need in a nice format and nothing I don’t..Version: 4.7

Packed with DataGreat for the weather nerd! There is a tab with graphs of forecast winds, precipitation, temperature & cloud cover to quickly plan outdoor activities. Map can be loaded up with lots of data layers, including fronts & winds. Great all around!.Version: 4.7

Great, but a little complaintThis is by far the best weather app I have ever used. Recently, the map and windows keep resetting themselves to showing the entire US and hourly forecasts, respectively. I reset to State view and weekly forecasts, but when I exit out, my resets go away. This may be an ipados issue, but I hope it can be resolved. I realize that this is a small criticism of a fantastic app. Thank you..Version: 4.3

My go to weather appVery accurate information. Used for many years. Mac version is nice also..Version: 4.3

Great Weather App!!I have had this since it came out and it keeps getting better!!.Version: 4.5

Real Time DataOutstanding app with real time presentation of data and future predictions. Best of all apps.Version: 4.5

A must haveLove this app. It’s accurate. Helps you figure out what’s really going on. Love this..Version: 4.1

Nice app if it covers your areaThe app shows lots of detailed info which is great for weather junkies. I have two complaints, and neither has been addressed in the 1yr+ I've been using it. 1. It is slow to download new info she you start it. Very slow. So when you want to check the forecast, you'd better be ready to wait a long time staring at stale information while the download spinner spins around, and around... 2. The bugger problem is the location coverage. There aren't enough stations to provide accurate info in a place like southernmost California. For example, if you need weather for Palomar Mountain, CA you get weather from Ramona. Ramona is in a hot dry valley at 1300ft elevation. Mt. Palomar is over 5000 feet. Completely different weather...over 10 degrees diff in temp is typical. Can be foggy on Palomar and sunny in Ramona. So the forecasts are not useful if you're planning a riding or hiking trip to Palomar. If they'd add more stations (weather underground has several up there) it would be a great app. As it is, it's useful only for some areas. Plan to use a secondary app to supplement Seasonality when it can't give accurate info where you need it..Version: 2.1

Simply the Best &It Just Got Better! You can read my first review below. I didn't think Seasonality Go could get any better but it has. The addition of Particle Flow is amazing. Basically, PF shows surface air flow with little individual dots that are colored by their temperature and change over time. Watch particles circle around low pressure like water going down a drain or crash into mountains to beautifully illustrate orographic lift. This is not just an amazing weather app, it is simply one of the most amazing apps in the store. I'm hoping Apple is paying attention because this is a work of art! I know weather. I worked in the private weather industry for nearly 30 years. I also know Apple having been a developer just as long. You are not going to do better than this app. It's fast, feature packed and delivers data in meaningful useful ways. Some of the features, like customization, are very difficult to do technically, but Gaucho delivers an intuitive easy to use set of tools. You are simply are not going to find another weather app than can give you as much info as Seasonality Go I worked with the developer of Seasonality Go a few years ago on another project. There isn't a brighter more capable software engineer focused weather anywhere. Yeah, I wished Seasonality Go was cheaper but I also realize the incredible amount of work that goes into an app like this and, frankly, it would be cheap at twice the price. Good going, guy!! Keep it up!!!.Version: 2.1

The weather app I've been looking for.I wish that the price hadn't scared me off for so long. I've gone through several other weather apps (weather mapper, weather pro, NOAA radar) and now wish I had simply bought this one in the first place (though it would be nice if it were cheaper). The ability to see graphs and radar at the same time is what makes it for me. I can set up my screen so I can take in all the information I care about at one glance, no flipping between screens. I haven't found another app that does that. My only wish is that there were more map options. Specifically, I would like to see an infrared or visible map for cloud cover and, especially a map that shows current wind speed and direction with arrows or flags But, despite that, this is the one weather app to rule them all..Version: 2.0

Great AppI have never written a review before for any app, so here goes. I first came across as a desktop app for Mac. The iPad version is phenomenal -- informative, educational, and fun to use, whether u are a professional, weather geek, or someone who is just interested in a quick synopsis of the weather that is happening around them. The particle mode is especially for seeing the big picture wind flows and identifying where systems are when used in conjunction with the satellite and radar modes -- very innovative. Would like to see a surface analysis mode showing weather features like desktop version. Also the ability to display different weather models, GFS, NAM, etc. Don't know how often the developers roll out bug fixes and updates but I am so far very pleased with this app, and will give 5-stars when surface analysis and more configuration settings are added for being able to forecast using various predictive models. Keep up the GREAT WORK!!!.Version: 2.1

Finally! A customizable weather appAs an amateur weather geek, I've been looking for a good weather app for my iPad. Quite a few out there are fine, but Seasonality Go is the first I've found that allows you to create your own mix of charts, graphs, and maps for a particular location. Heck, you can even have more than one map set up for the same screen. I'm not so hot on the greenish color scheme, but that's not enough to dock a star from this otherwise excellent app. (And I didn't know there was a Mac version that apparently pre-dates the iPad version. I'll have to check that out). Anyway, props to Gaucho Software for putting out a serious weather application done right..Version: 0

Best Weather Program There Is!This is the REAL weather program. Forget about all the cute yuppie fan boy crap. Forget about dancing raindrops and smiling sunsets. This program is pure density! It is for people who take weather seriously. Most of what it provides is in the form of graphs and charts. It is totally programmable; you get what you want. And yes, it takes a bit of time to learn how to manipulate the interface. This is more of a "program" than a silly little "app." But it is not difficult to use. To describe in detail would take some time. Suffice to say that if the other weather apps leave you wanting more, this app delivers! Setting it up is actually fun and the versatility it offers is amazing. You can configure it to show every conceivable weather variable on one page (screen) or you can create one huge graph showing just, say, the temperature chart for a single day. But you are not limited; one page can have it one way and another (unlimited) can have it the other; any combination is possible! If you want a high-end weather program for your iPad, this is it!.Version: 2.2

Outstanding Weather ApplicationI'm not sure if I am more of a "weather geek" or an Apple geek. I have several Apple computers and an iPhone and iPad. On both the phone and the iPad I have many weather apps but none compares with Seasonality Go on my iPad. The many charts and options to view weather trends cannot be found on any other weather app I have. If all you want is a quick snapshot of what is currently happening and forecast, you need not invest the money. If however, you want more details, etc. this is the application you want. I highly recommend it..Version: 0

Outstanding appThis is by far the best looking weather application on the iPad. While some other weather apps may have more features, e.g. broadcast video, etc, this is the most useable, most beautifully presented app for just finding what you need - where the storms are, what the temperature is, if rain is expected, etc. Along with giving the basics you can customize the layout through insanely simple controls - shrink and stretch blocks to make them fit as you want, remove them entirely or add some more, it's a brilliant iPad app that everyone should have..Version: 0

Almost perfect, ALMOSTLove the concept, love the customization, hate radar that shows activity over large metropolitan areas when the skies are perfectly clear (Dallas for instance) and hate satellite (cloud cover) images that haven't been updated in over 4 hrs. Slight annoyances that i hope are fixed in next update. These are annoyances that won't work for amateur astronomers who use ipads with star map programs and observation forecasting. Updated infrared satellite would also be a nice addition. It still gets 5 stars for concept, 4 for execution..Version: 0

It's actually worth the price!I was surprised to see so many people giving a 10-dollar weather app five stars, so I took a chance. After playing with it for just a few minutes, I know it's going to be my default weather app. This is what I've always wanted: all the info I want on one screen, that I can check in a few seconds. The best part for me is the wind graph. I fly model aircraft, and need to check wind every morning. Before now, it meant reading hourly wind speeds on a terrible UI. This is perfect. Nice work, developer!.Version: 1.2.1

Almost as good as the Mac versionThis version now has the ability to drag and organize favorites so here's my 5 stars. Still notice lags in data update, even over fast wi-fi which can cause the user to think the screen didn't update, which will show wrong data for the new location when loaded from favorites, and then the data updates but often you are not moved to the favorite's location. I've bought almost all of the weather apps for the iPad and this to me has the better offerings overall. Give these guys a couple more updates and it will be where I expect it to be. Yes, there's a bunch going on within this program. It will gel if they show it the attention they've shown the Mac product. ______________ I've used this on the Mac for years. Would give 5 stars if it allowed dragging favorites for sorting as you can in the Mac version..Version: 0

Great App! Almost perfect.I bought this on the recommendation of a friend. He noted that he had used a large number of weather apps on his iPad and this was by far the best. i agree with him. It gives full data and customization. My only complaint is that it is hard to figure out how to save locations other than your current location. Once you get the hang of that, which requires locating the point on a map, the rest is easy. The green color is a bit offputting, but I can live with that..Version: 0

Great Little AppBut what could be better DEVELOPERS? I'll tell you what…please developers add text warning and watches from the NWS, and also highlight the counties which are under watches and warnings on either the radar, or a separate map. As far as I can tell those are the only things that are lacking. Oh, and also push notifications, and watch/warning polygons which tell you where the storm is headed. Then it would be the MOST PERFECT app on the app store, and get more than 5 stars from me..Version: 2.1

Good stuff!Bit the bullet yesterday morning. Took me a little while to get over the price....very glad I did. I have used Crash Channel Max...oops I meant Weather Channel Max...but the crashing and the very obnoxious adds turned me off. Had also used Weatherbug....which worked great....but was just a little boring. After exchanging some posts with the Seasonality dev on MacRumors and seeing his responsiveness and commitment to the quality of the app I decided to pull the trigger. Still playing with all the options, but the customization, flexibility and amount of different data available are really cool features to me. Definitely worth the price in my book. Only thing I would suggest as a possible change....let us change the color scheme.....not a real fan of the baby-poop green color..Version: 0

Love this App - My Favorite Weather AppI like the presentation of the weather information, the ability to customize to show what you want to see in the form you prefer. I also like being able to track the past weather as well as future forecasts. I had occasion to contact vendor with question about how to read precipitation data and received very timely and helpful information. I couldn't be more pleased with this app..Version: 0

Perfect Weather AppAfter struggling with TWC and the Bug, thank goodness I found this app. The included templates are very good, and the customizability fills in any holes that you could find. This is the best weather app I have come across, as well as one of the best iPad apps overall. My only suggestion would be to add a dedicated favorites button for quick switching between favorite locations. Otherwise, I feel they nailed it with this app..Version: 0

Best weather appThis weather app has all the technical data that one would look for in a weather app. All the apps I reviewed fell short in different areas. This app allows you to customize the type and amount of data you want to see and each item is dynamic, so you can swipe for past, present or future information and even enlarge or compress info. You can set up multiple locations with multiple views..Version: 3.1.1

One of the very bestLots of information which doesn't sacrifice style over substance. One suggestion I have to make it 5 star is to have preset toggles on the graph page that allows you to select hours and days to display all your chosen graphs. Pinch zoom just doesn't work very well. In any case I have four weather apps on my iPhone and I go to this one the most. The graph page is excellent besides my suggestion above..Version: 3.1.1

Fantastic designThe weather app I never knew I needed, but that seems so obvious now. I can see at a glance how the things I care about will change over time--pinch to see the whole week, spread to focus on the hours of today. One star lost because the data sources for the weather here in South Korea are very incomplete. Only covers a few major cities, and even for those no maps (radar, etc.) are available..Version: 3.2

My "Personal Weather Station"This is the weather app I've always wanted. It's fully customizable, looks great, is accurate, and has all of the weather data you could want. I recently showed the marine layout to an avid sailor, and he bought the app immediately. If you're serious about the weather, don't hesitate to buy this app. It's worth the high price..Version: 1.2.1

Simple to readThis app is very simple to view and understand. Takes just a little poking around to figure out how to personalize the arrangement and add alternate cities. Information is taken from most logical station relative to my position. Data is accurate here in Memphis. It was $9.99 when I got it, so yeah, a little pricey, but worth it. No adds, quick data access and nice display..Version: 2.2

Worth every penny! This is hands down one of my favorite weather apps! I deleted weatherbug and intellicast for this. Gives you tons of info. You can customize the screens for size and amount of data windows. All I would add to it is a window for alerts/warnings for my area. And for it to work on the iphone. Between Seasonality Go and Weather Alert USA I am the go to weatherman for my friends!.Version: 2.1

Great for Weather GeeksI love this app just for the volume of raw weather data. Having the ability to customize the display is icing on the cake. Being a navigator for a racing sailboat I really love having the raw data to look at. I can't wait to see where this app goes. You've got my ten bucks, bring on the improvements. My only request is a graph for the wind direction. Hence, my rating of four stars..Version: 0

Very good but.....Ok it's expensive but the current weather screen is almost worth the price for the whole app. The following needs improvement: 1. graphs-unclear and no legend. Example: temp. There is a green shaded area and a black line. Which is temp? 2. Forecast screen is weak. Example: gives only high and low temps. How about a short text blurb. I know hourly data is in the graphs but a short text synopsis would be good. Please refine this very good app??????????.Version: 3.1.1

OutstandingThis is the most amazing weather app for the iPad. This app blows away all the competition. The ability to customize the screen is so user friendly and intuitive. When I was playing with the app I actually said "Oh WOW" several times. The app store finally has an iPad weather app worth paying for..Version: 0

Wow.I confess I haven't used this app much since the gee whiz factor of v1.0, but after firing it up after recent updates, very, very impressed. Stability seems up, and the new particle mode is absolutely brilliant. Only remaining quibble is that historical data before "now" is often lost or degraded, but I guess that's an issue with data providers rather than app..Version: 2.1

A Great Weather AppI have been using this app for years. It is good for me on a daily basis but it really shines when I travel or am planning a trip. I especially appreciate that I can pre-enter my destinations and then check their weather forecasts and can use a large map option centered on any destination so I can watch the weather move..Version: 2.2

Very accurate for CanadaUpdated 10 May 2020: No more 7 day forecasts within Canada—now only shows 3 days even though the settings say it should be 7. Disappointing. Updated 6 Nov 2014: *Finally* this app is iPhone-compatible! Well done guys. I've been waiting to ditch Yahoo Weather for years--now I can. -------------- I've tried lots of iPad weather apps but keep coming back to this one. Its chart of upcoming precipitation is bang-on and its animated satellite and radar images are great for seeing what weather is coming over the next few hours or the rest of the day. My only wish is that they would update their OS X app to include many of the new features in this iPad version. :-) Well done guys..Version: 4.4

Consistently my goto for my weather forecastingI’ve owned and used this app for at least 4 years, multiple iPhones. Versions. The data made available by this app id top notch. Incredible detail and granularity in seasonality’s presentation. I may use another app for a quick check of what the weather is at the moment but for forecasting, this is my favourite. (And i have run through half a dozen other weather apps...). Strong endorsement..Version: 4.3

No longer updates (Fixed)This review has been adjusted since the recent updates to the app, everything has been great. Thanks. Sorry for the delay. Prior: Station updates no longer occur. Radar is off and forecast is also outdated when it does work. Uninstalled and reinstalled as well as removed and added different Stations. No help..Version: 4.0

Great weather app!Love this app! It shows all the info I'm looking for on one screen. Hope to see lots of updates! Keep up the great work!.Version: 0

Great appLove this interface. The only thing missing is syncing locations between devices..Version: 3.0

Best Weather AppI have been using Seasonality on my Mac and iPad for the last 5 years, as a weather bug i really enjoy all the measurements i have at my fingertips. It allows me to easily plan my day and week when spending a lot of time outdoors..Version: 3.1

Bravo! Looks great on the iPhoneGreat detail for all weather parameters. Love it on the iPad and now on my phone. Lots of thought has been put in this app. Works beautifully. I live in a very small town in central Canada and the weather data is quite accurate. As a weather app junkie I'm loving Seasonality Go..Version: 3.0

Still the bestI've been using this apps for years. Looked at others but I always come back to it. Ideal for planning trips..Version: 2.2

Weathertastic!Love this app. Not as much as Seasonality Core for the desktop but it will do... But seriously, this is a great iOS app, dev is quick to respond with details on feature requests and general questions. Asked about surface analysis in the iPad version and got a very cogent explanation as to why it was excluded. I appreciate dev interaction with the user base, makes you feel like part of the process..Version: 2.1
