Works great with my old MFC 9120cn Brother color laser printerAllows me to print from all my IOS 14.7.1 version iPads iPhones in color or BW. I love the feature where you can also add in the PDF printer so you can turn any image/document/web page into a stored PDF document When I set the utility up it detects the Brother 9120, but tries to print to it using Postscript via the Bonjour Apple protocol ….that was Never going to fly with my old but very functional network-color laser printer. So you then just manually add in an IP printer and put in the network IP address of the brother 9120. the first test print fails and prints nothing. So I follow the instructions and click test print did not print. It then asks you to chose the page description language. My printer worked with the PCL option (the 9120 has a brother postscript CLONE but it’s less than great at printing TRUE postscript or PDF files that don’t come via a brother print driver or the brother print/scan iPad app.) Once that printed and I did the margin adjustments it worked a TREAT. I do wish there was a way to edit the NAME the IP printers rather than just seeing the IP address as the printer name. Lengths and bounds better than stock iOS printing appI’ve had Readdles®︎ Printer Pro iOS application for quite a while now, since before even updating to iOS 12, and when compared to the stock print process within iOS by Apple, Printer Pro is always the strong winner! That’s not to say it’s not without it’s own flaws but as opposed to the stock print option, you have much more control and choices at your fingertips. Opening Printer Pro’s iOS springboard/homescreen app brings up a menu of options including several locations, both locally on your iPhone/iPad to print from, but also any cloud accounts, external devices (you may have plugged in) and even FTP/etc! Settings allows even more choices, including security like TouchID/FaceID/Passcode to prevent unwanted users from printing from Printer Pro. I use an HP DeskJet 2600 series inkjet printer and while the included app for it (HP PrintSmart App) works exceptionally well with it, including advantages like turning my phone into a makeshift fax machine as well and so on, never-the-less Printer Pro stays on the top right next to HP’s app, and like almost every piece of software Readdle develops (like Documents!!!) it’s rock solid, well made and well supported..CyntrificalVersion: 5.4.19

Excellent AppMy setup is: iPad mini2 iOS 12 printing to Canon MX870 connected to router via Ethernet cable. My iPad communicates with it by sending to Printer Pro Desktop for PC (PC is running Windows 7). Works great! I used the Lite version to test it first. I found out through a little trial and error that I needed to delete the Lite version before downloading and installing the Full version because they were conflicting with each other on my device. So, my suggestion, once you make sure Lite works, delete it. Then download the Full version. One feature I love about this app is the ability to make Print to PDF one of your printer options. Another helpful hint: If you send something to print and the printer doesn’t respond, try clicking on the tray icon for Printer Pro Desktop so that the program appears. It seems that, at times, doing this will refresh the connection. Also, if you need customer support, although you might have to wait a few days for a response, they're very professional and helpful. This app does what it's designed to do. It has an easy to navigate layout. It also provides simple instructions on the splash screen for each type of task. Great solution for all of my printing for my iPhone.The iPhone printing feature works most of the time, but not all the time and not if you’re wanting to control what and how your print job comes out. I haven't found a printer that the Printer Pro app doesn’t work with. Printer Pro even works perfectly with my HP mobile Bluetooth printers and what’s even more convenient, the app works with my older model Epson Picture Mate 4x6 photo printer with no issues at all. Printer Pro is very easy to use, you can use as few or as many options as you like, typically just select print and you get exactly what you’re looking at. Or if you like to tweak your print jobs, you can switch things up pretty much however you like or need to. Absolutely awesome app. To get a print job the way you wanted as phones were just starting to be able to print, you'd have to share it with or save it to a computer to get a decent printout. Best of the best. Finally an app that is More than it says.I have an old brother printer, usb connected to my windows computer. I love the old printer as it prints only in black with a toner cartridge that last and last. The newer printers use too much ink, will stop printing when a company says your low on ink, and you get this with many air printers. I decide when I am low on ink. Anyway, with the clipboard built into the pro version, nothing is impossible to print. Emails, photos, even apple's "Pages" program files, and spread sheets, print flawlessly. My printer was found right away in the free app and so I purchased the pro. It works better then best. Instructions are simple, detailed, and will have you printing anything in minutes. Wish you the best. Not gonna spend money on an air printer that dictates (most companies) when my ink is low and stops me from printing when the prints are still coming out perfect. Works mostly but takes way too long on my iPad ProI used this app on my iPad Air, and although it has some weird quirks it did a good job. On my iPad Pro it is excruciatingly slow, taking 8-10 minutes for a single page. It prints line by line slower then I have ever seen my printer print, with the computer it spits a page out in seconds, as it also did on my iPad Air. There may be a setting to correct this but I haven’t found it. The time it takes to print also puts your iPad out of commission during the sending of the page to the printer, if you leave printer pro it will cancel the print and you have to start over. I am using a older printer without AirPrint, and don’t see the need to change as it works perfectly with my laptop. Many times it prints what it feels like, never use the print button on a web page because it will not print the printer tailored page but the previous page without fail. It Just Works - Especially if you don't have AirPrint printersI've read several negative reviews & I think several of them miss the point that the purpose of this app is to provide an alternative to AirPrint, not a replacement for it. If you have an AirPrint enabled printer, then this app really is not for you: it does not buy you anything & can't handle a few cases that AirPrint usually does (more on that below), The point is that for us poor folks who don't want to go out & buy a new AirPrint model printer just to allow occasional printing from an iPhone - this app works great! My reason for giving it 4 stars is that it does miss one feature normally found in PC based applications like PDF Creator: it frequently fails to print a Web document if the Web page that fetched it is secured in some way (e.g. https://). Therefore it usually doesn't let me print things such as credit card statements. Also, the negative reviews are quite correct that trying to print out an email from this app appears to be pretty much impossible. Consistently works great!I've had an iPhone for over 9 years, so over tried several different printing apps. My brother-in-law, who's a computer hardware engineer, and my Oracle when it comes to anything involving electronics and technology, told me to download Printer Pro and to get rid of the other printer apps on my phone. Excellent Homeschool ToolI homeschool and run across a myriad of current event articles, explanations and worksheets but i couldn’t just save them. Printing doesn’t always work and sometimes I just don’t have one available. This app has saved us thousands of dollars in books and printing. I simply convert an article to a .pdf and I can store it in the proper subject folder. This app saves toner, paper and money on worksheets. Also, I can work from anywhere and save the content. It has a few glitches like not always converting the page you see the same way you see it or it will cut off a few pages from the end. Really worksUPDATE: app still makes me waste paper and ink. Every time I open the app it acts like it never was connected to the printer and forces a test print! Works well overallFrequently I will use this app because of certain options it provides that my Apple devices don’t offer with AirPrint. One of the features I use most often is the ability to size the printing down to a half page or quarter page. The only thing I wish it would offer when I choose this option is to print multiple copies to a single page (ex: quarter page option would allow me to print up to four to a page with a single print job, or a half page would let me print two copies to a page, etc.). As far as I can tell this is not possible. So I end up feeding the same sheet of paper through multiple times to fill it up, which becomes rather time consuming. Very handy but needs some additional refinementI really appreciate the fact that this app allows me to print a work using my PC as a proxy. However it has its limitations. Most serious is the fact that my iPad will happily print without error but I never get anything from the printer. This is always because my PC lost its WiFi connection so my printout went somewhere into the eth (At least I hope it went to the ether!) There really needs some type of "ping"to the PC proxy application and an error posted on the ipad indicating the lack of communication. A- nicety would also be the ability to configure the proxy with multiple printers and be able to choose which printer to use from the iPad app. I often find myself in different locations of the building and wishing I could print to the nearest or best printer. Great workaround if you don’t have AirprintIt doesn’t have the functionality of Airprint, but it gets the job done if you are willing to work with it. You have to use different methods to print in different apps. Sometimes you can just choose “Print with Printer Pro” from the menu and use the Print button in the pop-up window. Sometimes that doesn’t work and you have to use the More Options button in the pop-up window. If that still doesn’t work, you can highlight the text to print, copy it, open the Printer Pro app, and print from there. It just takes a while to learn what works best in which app. I’ve had the most difficulty printing webpages. I’ve found that the best bet is to print from the Reader view. Even that is sometimes problematic because of the limited functionality of copying text on webpages in iOS. Overall though, I could not do without this app..Jmc4769Version: 5.4.15

Printer Pro is the Best!I have 4 printers in my office her at home and I able to print to each printer with no problems! Unlike some comments that give it a 4 star rating just cause they haven’t read or figured out how to print from the Web or a simple email. The truth folks, is that you very well can! I can select my Monochrome Laser or my Full Color Laser printer, choose my options, I press “print” and no matter where I am, poof, the jobs print out. It’s awesome to have family and friends over, take a family picture and print it right then and there on my high quality color laser printer that’s part of my home network. You print from the share sheet—there will be an icon for Printer Pro. A dialogue pops up, offering you the choice of printing a single copy of your document, or opening the full app if you want to tweak settings or print multiple copies. Warnings: Printer Pro sends jobs to your printer via your Mac. It needs to be up and running, and you must install a small application first. Great for situations my default printer won’t handle.I love that Printer Pro allows me more options than my standard printer. If I want to print a screen print, my default printer program automatically prints on photo paper without giving me any other options. Printer Pro allows you to print to standard 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I live in a rural area so connectivity can be an issue. I will often do screen prints to save a copy of a transaction. Printer Pro also offers more options to change print settings to meet your needs than the standard print program. Excellent to horribleHave used this app since it came out and used to use it multiple times a day until I retired. Have recommended it to many friends who love it. Can’t think of a negative thing to say about it. No bells or whistles - it just works. UPDATE - used to be my go to print app for printing from iPhone but lately is has been horrible. It had printed to my canon Pixma 922 flawlessly for over 2 years and now all of a sudden it can’t connect or just sits there saying contacting/preparing document. It reverse my order!When I choose certain pages range to print it , and type the order of page from larger number to smaller ones (I write numbers in printing range in reverse order because I need such order , such as 4,3,2,1 or 8,6,4,2 ) but the disappointing thing is that the app automatically correct the order into 1,2,3,4 or 2,4,6,8 ...etc . A must have, but has a few missing features.This app is great and picks up my wireless printers when the built in print app never can. However, There are some simple functions that it’s missing. One, I find it odd there is no way to “nickname” your printer. I want to rename the printers based on what office they are in inside my building, but there isn’t a functionality for that. Second, It seems to have problems with certain printers (Can’t get my MG3000 series to work at all). It does offer a very great PDL (Printer Description Language) selection, but...if you don’t know what PDL your printer uses...it doesn’t help. Also, some of the selections (like M-Print) will literally hang on loading and never finish (Left it for 20 minutes 3 times). Also, The icon desperately needs to be redesigned. The app itself is beautiful! An absolute joy to use. The icon looks old and strange with its metallic material and depth. I hope they redo it to fit more with the new “Documents” logo. Generally it works.In general the app does what it says and does it well, most of the time. But it seems to have issues with integration into other products more and more as the other products become updated. My specific example is how it’s documents how to print from Dropbox, but the Dropbox version does not support that hook any longer. Arguably one can say Dropbox broke it, but this app advertises that capability. The other issue I seem to have is when enable/disable pdf vs printer printing. I’m never quite sure which one it’s going to do as the selection and deselection don’t always work or work well. Excellent utilityAn essential workflow tool. Makes printing out colouring pages for the kids easy as I can adjust number up, rotation, etc... I also use while processing emails away from my desk and save the queued up documents for printing when I get home. The best features are being able to print 2-up, 4-up, etc... Missing are ability to choose print B&W only, draft mode and double-sided on/off. The workaround for web pages, emails and others is to start with the built-in printer and preview the document. I love the app!I’ve tried many printer apps and none of them can compete with this one. It will print most any kind of document you have. I also have an older printer that only prints black and white documents. It saves a ton of money when you use a printer that has a single toner cartridge. In the long run I can save a lot by running to the nearest Walmart or CVS to print color photos and spend a lot less than I would for color cartridges that go out of date or dry up before you get your moneys worth. Great app once you dive into it.At first I thought, “what on earth do I need a printer app for? I can print just fine from my iPad?” And then I used Printer Pro. I’ve Used This App..... on several iPhones and few iPad versions and It's always worked without fail. I'm not sure what makes a printer an "air printer" but I know I didn't pay for any special features on mine and as long as wifi is up, I'm able to connect and print. If I don’t have WiFi access I just print from whatever source to PDF and print later. Ive always found the developer's other apps, primarily PDF Expert, Calendar 5, Spark and Pro Scanner to be indispensable as well. Nice quality apps that get a good amount of use. Perfect printer appI saw Readdle may discontinue Printer Pro? PLEASE don’t! This app is so much better than regular AirPrint on iphone and so much more intuitive than the HP app I tried for my HP printer. You have to jump through a million hoops to get to various printing options on other platforms but Printer Pro you just click “options” and everything is right there to click on/off or change settings. Efficient | simplifies my lifeNot a new story, but having to email documents to myself in order to print at home or on specific printers at work is just annoying and inefficient. Not to mention, our network printers don’t always connect the way they’re supposed to on our system. This app just allowed me to connect to the printer via the network, assigning the IP address instead of how IT prefers to setup our printers (which doesn’t make sense to me, but whatever). Works but only if computer is on and not in sleep mode.I've used this app a few times and it worked well. Now that I've upgraded to Windows 2010 I've noticed that Printer Pro has some compatibility issues. In task manager there are about 20 entries for Printer Pro. This is not good. I haven't tried printing yet with my computer running yet since the windows upgrade so don't know if it still prints. The fact that it sends a command to the computer and not directly to the printer makes the app a waste to me. If I wanted to have my computer as the middle man I can simply use my computer to print from. Great Little App!I’ve been using Printer Pro with my iPhone for several months, and it well lives up to its promises of functionality: With a few minor exceptions, I can print basic documents from my phone to my non-AirPrint Brother MFC printer. (PDFs work perfectly; Microsoft Office documents without complex formatting are also fine.) If you require professionally formatted, sophisticated publications, you should be working on the appropriate hardware/software platform. Solid Product; Small AnnoyancesHands-down, this product is worth the money if you have a network-connected printer that doesn't offer AirPrint functionality. I've tried the solutions that run a shared print driver on a local Mac and use the Mac as a bridge, but they lack the reliability that Printer Pro offers. Not exactly intuitiveAlthough this app generally does what it says it’ll do, it’s not exactly simple or intuitive. With some things, such as pictures, web pages, or attached documents, it’s as simple as clicking the “send to” button, then choosing “print with printer pro.” With others, however, like emails (not the attachments - just the text of the email itself), you have to jump through hoops to accomplish your printing. With emails, for example, you need to select all of the text of the email, copy yet, open the printer Pro app, paste the text, then print it. This means you lose all of your formatting. Wow! It works!IPad 7th gen. Printer is a Brother color laser network printer (Ethernet, not WiFi). No "helper app" on any computer. I've tried other apps to be able to print from iPad and wasted money on some of them. I first used the Lite version of this to confirm it would work. First test print printed nothing. Changed a setting in this program (from PS to PCL) and it worked. Followed instructions to calibrate. And now I can print from my iPad. The team has made many improvements over the years and I am amazed how easy it is to set up now and get it running. Love the AppYou guys are awesome. I have an old HP printer and so the air print feature doesn't work but it does using Print Pro! I had it a couple of years now and it still works perfectly and the recent update has it even more proficient. Now when I visit relatives with new printers this app picks right up on it and prints quickly and remembers the printer. I can print from anywhere in the house from my iPhone or iPad. Love this appI use this to print from my iPad from any place in my house. What more can I say. Occasionally I have to go to my office to wake up my printer but that's okay. Now my wife likes her iPad even more. I sometimes have to remove her sales coupons from the printing tray. Love, love, love it. When one can’t use “AirPrint” this suffices for coupons and screen captures. But, it works with everything. ——— Update: It just stays great. All upgrades are effective. Back to a FIVEHad a problem and actually got a response from support team. Took a few days but that's understandable. Tech took a stab at the problem and hit it first try. Problem was not "printer pro" but that my ipad glommed onto a network that the printer was not on! Easy to check but hard to notice if you are not looking for it. Hit or missJust not consistent. It’s frustrating and i’ve wasted quite a few labels and i’ve only had it for about a week. Sometimes it won’t print, sometimes they’ll randomly print super tiny. Usually takes a good 30 seconds to a minute to print when I’m using the app, sometimes more, sometimes doesn’t print at all. I’d love it if it was consistent but it’s not. I never know if it’s going to work correctly or not. I paid for the app to have the ability to print shipping labels from my phone to my thermal printer, but I still end up having to go to my desktop most of the time to get it to work anyway so it’s kind of pointless..108158Version: 5.4.19

So great for my Nutritional Therapy business!Starting up a business comes with a ton of overhead. I bought this app as part of a productivity bundle on the App Store, but this is the one I use the most. When my clients send me their food journal as a photo or need recipes, I can take that photo, crop it and print it from my phone. Yes, that requires a wireless printer, but it’s SO MUCH BETTER than having to scan everything and all of the files can easily be uploaded to my online client platform for secure storage. Great AppThis is truly a great app. I use it on my iPhone and iPad over a wireless network and as long as the printer itself is working (which it doesn’t always do) this is a pretty fool proof program and I’m very pleased with it. Had this app for years. Consistently good.I was looking for a printer app for my ipad. Needed it to be easy to use and reliable. Has always performed well and I have been very happy with it. Works like a champ with my iPad Mini and HP printerI was unable to print from my iPad Mini until I installed this app. I have an HP DeskJet and not even the HP apps could get it to print. In most cases, I use PDF PROvider to convert copied documents to pdf, email them to myself, then print from email. It works great. I did have to figure out what to feed it, but once I figured out that it thrives on pdf files, it has been smooth sailing. I have printed files as long as 40 pages with no problems. Jpegs also print very easily, though my mono printer is not too good at photo printing. Update: This continues as one of my most valuable and used apps. Easy to use and lots of optionsCompared to the printing software already integrated in iOS, printer pro really does what all desktop computers do before printing: formatting and optimizing. Powerpoints can be placed by two, four, six (etc.) slides per page. Spreadsheets can be printed horizontally. Not able to print many pagesHi, I just purchased your Printre Pro. I tested it with the light version and was able to print. I have an HP LASERJET 4000 and normaly from my PC I use PCL6 as language. When I tested my printer, I had the choice with PCL and the sheets came out totally black. I was then given the choice of PS as language, which is supported by the printer, but it takes too much memory. As I don’t have that memory in my printer, I get a message « Out of memory ». It works, but buggyWhen using the app to print via the IP address printing, the app always takes the last page and cuts it off with a solid 3/4” black bar at the bottom or half through the page. I end up having to go into the more options, which opens the full app moving me out of the app that I am presently using, to select print 2 copies. Then I wait for the first copy, however many pages that is, to finish so I can hit the cancel printing “X” button in the center of the screen. It then prints 1/3 of the next page with the black bar across the page. This is on both iPad and iPhone. I also find it incredibly annoying that there is no multi-tasking option while printing. I want to be able to print something and then go on about my business. I don’t have to wait on a desktop to start another task while my printing queue is taking care of its job in the background. But for some reason I have to wait for the complete printing job to finish, slowly I might add, before touching my screen or switching apps without the printing job cancelling..Not_like_theketchupVersion: 5.4.19

Common Cannon Laser Printer won’t work...I think it’s a fair assumption that Canon printers are commonly used throughout the world. Believing that Readdle makes some of the best products out there, I had no hesitation to buy the pro version to allow printing to my canon laser printer to work well on all my iOS products. No luck. Instead, you offer some convoluted pc/mac workaround which nobody I know would bother with. I own all of your iOS products and love them all, except for Printer Pro. Why can’t you fix this situation? Meanwhile, I deleted this app and feel I wasted the money I paid for it. I respectfully suggest that you avoid releasing products that simply won’t work with many common printers. I own Spark, Calendar 5, Documents, PDF Expert and rely on them heavily. If you fix the Canon laser printer broken issue, I will use it and revise this review to 5 Stars. Not a great productI thought this would be a great product to print from my new IPad. I first tried Printer ProLite. It took a while and a few errors, but I got it to work. I then decided to buy Printer Pro. Again, had a few problems getting it to work. But, it eventually printed from the IPad. Next, day tried to print and nothing. My Canon 3000 Series on my Laptop kept deleting. I had to go into it each time, after it was shut down add it back on. Again, couldn't get anything printed from the IPad and had to use the Laptop and add the printer back on. I ended up deleting all of it on the IPad. I am planning on buying a new desktop in the next few months and will print from that. To me it was a complete waste of money: $6.99 plus tax. I now cannot get the Printer Pro icon off of my Laptop. Would have been better off burning the $6.99I downloaded this in the hopes that it would work well, but to print an email, I have to SELECT ALL, copy and then paste it into the Printer Pro clipboard to print it. Years ago I used an app that I couldn't find on the iOS App Store, Handyprint. After wasting time and money on this Printer Pro garbage, I did find the Handprint app. It's not in the App Store, never was, it's downloadable to the Mac or PC and installed there, nothing to install or download on the iOS device. You share the printer in the app on the Mac (or PC), just like you would any shared printer, then open Handyprint and the printers are there. When you go to print from ANY app in iOS that supports Air Print, the printers show right up. Handyprint was also only $5. Not what they say it is it doesn’t work.Just bought this App for $6.99 to print some stuff because my computer quit on me. They say it works with pretty much every printer out there. OK functionality but buggyThe functionality as imagined by the app developer are decent. However the app is very buggy and not user friendly. For ex. If you toggle between print on paper vs. print to PDF from the Open With... menu, it is a coin toss, since you have no way of knowing where the doc got spooled. Similarly print to PDF is cumbersome since it doesn’t allow you to name and organize the files and instead everything is dumped in a lit with arbitrary names.
