Love the app, wish it worked elsewhere.I love the app, for the most part it is easy to use. I just wish it worked on other platforms. I’m a PC guy and would love it if it worked in windows. Our phones are google, it would sure be nice if it worked on them. My wife’s tablet is a Kindle Fire, she would love to be able ro access it. I have the only iPad, the only device in the household that it will work on and don’t plan to replace it when it goes. I hate the idea of entering everything in here only to lose it down the road. I have tried other apps and I’m not as happy with them. This one seems to fit the bill. If only it worker on other platforms. One problem I am having is figuring out how to delete an item that I accidentally added in two categories. I can list it as zero, but how do I delete it?.KatnedorgVersion: 5.21

Overall, very goodThis is a great app that does what I need it to do. There is a bit of a learning curve, but I have figured out how to use most of the features. I have recorded inventory in multiple places, created my own categories and items (although it would be nice to have an icon set for user-created categories), and Use Sets feature is extremely helpful. quite robust, and for the most part, I love it! The only problem I have had is that recently (past few months), I can’t always assign an expiration date to items in the Use Sets feature. The date wheel comes up, but the Done button is missing, so the date is not recorded. I can go into a different food, and it works. Then go back to the one that wasn’t working, and it still doesn’t work. I have re-started the app, and sometimes it fixes itself, but not always. I even rebooted my iPad, and it still didn’t always work. I don’t dare to delete and reinstall the app, as I don’t really trust the backup, and I have so much stored in the app it would take time I don’t have to re-enter everything. I try to work around this but it’s annoying when it doesn’t work the way it should..ThincorVersion: 5.21

Love this app but....Love this app! I would like to see a category for the number of serving a can has added to the list of specifics. The freeze dried, dehydrated and canned food all have different weights to them. A better tally I would think would be in the number of servings a can holds. Weight is important too and needs to be considered as well. I know in the options you can chose either weight or servings. Both are important elements to consider. After using this app for a few years now the numbers don’t seem to change. I’ve been at 39% prepared forever it seems. I would like to see areas as to where I can get past the 39% rank. Water you can’t store a year or more for a family of say 4. There is just not enough space. What about water filtration equipment would that make a difference? Are tents & sleeping bags accounted for, clothing or other things that would make life easier in a disaster mode? Where are those categories?.Map7746Version: 5.20

Best app for Pantry storage that I’ve used so farI have tried several apps for Pantry storage so far this one meets my needs, have tried more expensive ones that did not work as well and free ones. I have found several features on the app that were not spelled out very well on the description when I bought it but I am glad that they were part of the app. Allows for multiple storage areas and keeps track of purchase history and many other features. The issue that I did have was trying to delete a food type that I entered wrong. Went to the web site to read the help but still had issues, sent the developer an email and he responded in a timely manner, and after several emails the issue was resolved. Good wish for a couple enhancementsAfter working with the app to organize our boat I’d have to say I’m impressed with how intuitive the app laid out. I love being able to scan something and just press the + or - to increase and decrease quantity (other apps you have to click in the product after scanning and then change quantity) nice time saver. I haven’t figured how to backup to iCloud which would be nice. I keep getting the prompt I click to follow instructions but can’t sign in to iCloud. I like it defaults to my iPhone device storage because on a sailboat I’m more often away from an internet/cell signal. I hope to see in the future the ability to search brands. Does what it says and works offlineAt first this seemed a little complicated but I’m getting the hang of it. An instructions page would be nice that tells you how to change and see suggested per person amounts for the yearly goal and explains about some things being measured by weight and others volume. So far it does what I need, and I love that it’s functional offline.i like to work on car trips when I don’t have signal. Great concept UI needs some refinementThis app is exactly what I was looking for which is to keep track of the items in my freezer and their expirations dates. The interface is a bit clunky with how you enter items and it’s very confusing on how to edit food groups and types. I found the default entries that it comes with to be too much. When you want to simply enter ground beef you have to scroll through screens to get to beef on the list. There’s no option to search and it does not have any intelligent typing or recently used functionality to make the entry easier. I think the overall concept is great though and this has the potential to be a great app with some more enhancements to the user interface..SdbuehlerVersion: 5.21

This is amazing!I’m really enjoying this App. It was time consuming to get all my stuff in it. So worth it! When it lists the coming expectation dates, I know what to use first. That in itself is a real money saver. I discovered I have way too many of one thing, and not enough of another. I quickly add those lacking to my shopping list. Another money saver. Don’t buy this APP!The only reason I bought it was to scan products for my inventory. It will not pull up any information of even the most basic items and you will have to add all info manually. You are basically giving someone a spread sheet of your inventory and where to find it. Thought I was going to have to create my own app..Awesome app. Love the barcode scanning feature. Helps with expiring products and you can quickly look and see what you got. Help to keep food from spoiling because you can do meal prep based on first expiring products. When grocery shopping you can look on the app to see if you have it at home and how much of it. All the detailsJust loaded up a cabinet of food into my inventory. The search scanning feature is very quick to call up a listing of every item with a barcode. What really got me was the lists, showing you exactly what needs your attention, ie running low, or expiring soon. Lazy proofI don’t do hard and complicated that’s why this app is perfect for me. It is a super easy way to track what I have and where I hid it😀. Great tool for home inventoryI spent several hours going through my pantry with this app and it was a great aid in cataloging what we have on hand. After a little effort I was able to get it to sync with my wife's phone through Dropbox. Seems great but still frustratedI really like the Interface and ease of this app, but I can’t I have a small pantry in my kitchen and overflow in the basement and a deep freeze. I can’t seem to have multiple locations for the same item. It would be better served if we could put each entry into its own location. Super helpful; not exactly intuitiveThis is helpful for tracking quantities and expiration dates. Syncing is awful.I have tried syncing through Dropbox and the receiving device gets an error message that reads, “Online Sync Error Database identifier (A65B17) not found in your Dropbox account. (Note: The same Dropbox account must be used on each device.)” So, it seems as though, if both parties want to be signed in to their respective accounts, it’s impossible to sync this information between each device..CKiddPFSVersion: 5.21

Worth the price and effort to useI found this app and couldn’t be happier. We have a very large family and therefore stock up when there are sales. As organized as I try to be, there always seems to be something that gets missed or we find we have to hurry up and use. Now I can look at this app and see everything we have and anything that is soon to expire. I have added all my pantry items and have been able to add to the list the same items with different dates that I store in the basement. It is very easy to “move” items around from one location to another when I restock the pantry from the basement. The original intent of the app seems to be to help people stock up for a period of months determined by the user and by the amount they anticipate their household will need. I customized that portion to show items vs weight of things because I don’t worry about do I have enough food for 6 months. I wanted the app so I could better know what we have stocked up on and what dates were for things. I also renamed groups in ways that made since to me. The app originally is set out by things like food groups. I made categories for things like breakfast items and then under that made healthy cereal, sweet cereal, oatmeal, etc. Another one was for pasta dinner things. We eat a lot of pasta, so it made more since to me to see all the types of pasta and various sauces in the same category. Take a little time and play around with the app and you will see ways you can use it too. You may want it for the original intent, but if not, it is really customizable for anything you might need it for. Great App so far, but....needs to cater to the obvious as well.I am new to food storage, and I don't bake. I would like to be able to add prepackaged emergency food pails , MRE, or backpacking meals to my food inventory total easily. I have not figured it out yet, other than manually entering each portion as a pasta? Great appMoney well spent. This app is great for tracking your storage- food, water, hygiene supplies, etc. It's quite flexible and allows many adaptations. The format is user friendly and pretty well organized. It would be nice to be able to single out an individual's planned needs eg: only 1 person in the family needs a particular supplement. Let's say I have 5 kids but only 1 needs the supplement, I need to input that as each child needing 1/5 of the dose so that an adequate amount is stored for the one person that needs it. it would be nice if I could specify that just the one child needs it. Has Potential!It definitely looks like this app has tons of potential. I would recommend making more user-friendly interface, have an ability to add pictures/images to new categories and foremost integrate a shopping list. This app has great elements : variety of units, overal preparedness, quite accurate bar scanner, tons of categories and ability to edit them. If this app would get updated with earlier listed suggestions, I would not mind paying for it up to $5 (which I did for Prep & Pantry full version). Concept, but very outdated and hard to use appI love what this app is supposed to do, But it is very hard to use. Instead of being able to select an overall goal (ie 1yr of food storage) you have to breakdown per category to get to whatever you want your total to be. Plus my iPad and iPhone NEVER show the same info even though they are linked to the same Apple ID account. When I try to manually sync them, they never connect to each other. App Won’t Combine Info From Different DevicesGetting set up there is a lot to inventory so I enlisted the help of my daughter. She did one section and I did a different section. Very frustratedI struggle with finding items when I want to update or view balances. There should be away to search. I can’t find how to delete an item that I no longer want to track. Groups and types that I have added sometimes don’t appear in the lists at all. Worst of all, I don’t think the backup is working. Not quite thereGave this a 2 star because of it's potential, however I got frustrated with it. I wanted an inventory of my pantry not so much as an emergency app. I liked the scanning part of it. Now what frustrated me about it: - when I scanned a can of beans it did not fit into category so I had to settle as a dry legume even though it is not. Need more categories like canned goods. - when I scanned another can a beans like the first of course it had the same label. Problem was since it had the same label app assumed it must have the same expiry date. I could only have one expiry date for the same type of can. - if there some trick to fixing the above problem I do not know as there is no documentation on how to use this software.
