Need to share with other actorsI love this app. Best way to learn lines at home without having to drive your wife crazy by asking her to play the other parts. Please develop a way for us to record scenes on one device and then share it with the other actors who also have Scene Study on their devices. One-trick pony. Quirky audio support. Buggy.Does what it promises, but is very bare-bones. A bit of a one-trick pony. Given how long the app has been around and how limited it is, one gets the impression that it’s changed very little since its inception. NEED TO FIX: - At first there appeared to be no Bluetooth support for earbuds or headphones, but this was resolved after closing and reopening the app. - The default is the quiet phone speaker, not the loudspeaker, as if the developers expect you to hold the phone up to your ear the whole time! - There is a bug that occurs sometimes when re-recording lines, that just takes you back to the previous screen when you hit record. - No way to run through a production if the first scene is empty - Editing the last line in a scene, the options are hidden until you scroll down. They should be visible immediately after clicking the three dots. NICE TO HAVE: - Color coding for the characters - Collaboration - Actual written notes, markers, etc - Audio effects.PirateJabezVersion: 2.5.5

Intuitive and helpfulI usually just use the Voice Memo app to record my scenes, but this app is SO MUCH BETTER than that. It’s super intuitive and easy to use (recording lines for each character is so easy - the setup of the recording screen is really user-friendly). It’s truly as effortless as using voice memos, BUT then all the characters are separated for you and you can rehearse with or without your own lines, and straight through all the scenes, which is SO helpful. Making line learning easyLove yjis. Everyone is different in how they best study their lines, but I need someone to read with, to give me my cues. This app does all that and more. Just input the lines and the app reads them to you. You can speak along with the dialogue . Great tool for meI continue to come back to this app time and time again with new roles. I try others but they can’t get the job done for me. This is great. It helps me a whole lot. Suggestions (I’ll still use the app, but these would improve my work even more): 1. Exporting/importing or sharing scenes. How amazing if cast members recorded their parts and everyone shares with each other, deleting what’s not needed! 2. Sometimes playback goes off the wire over Bluetooth. My car registers each line as a call, so it’s unusable as the “calls” start and stop. So I turn off Bluetooth, it’s just not as hands-free then. Super UsefulI have used this app to memorize lines for a play and a feature film, on top of countless auditions. Some features I wanted actually ended up being there already but weren’t super intuitive to me at first, but if you use it a bit you’ll figure it out just fine. Great featuresI wanted to run the show but found it cumbersome to shift out to hear the monologues. If I did then it would only repeat the scene I was in instead of continuing the production. A workaround was to add a monologue character then it would never be silenced..JcalhiVersion: 2.0.3

Simple and very handy app for actorsGreat little app to help with line memorization. I used to use a voice recorder and guess at the length of my own dialogue in between recording the other characters lines but this is a far more effective alternative. Simply record your lines for your character as well as the lines for the other characters in the scene. It allows for a lot more control of stopping and starting as well as keeping the rythym of the scene. You simply mute your own lines and hit next when you're ready or if you play continously your lines will be muted to the length you recorded them originally. Time consuming but worth itIn order to use this app, you need to take the time to record every single line separately. That can be time consuming, so this is not good for situations where lines need to be learned super quickly. However, recording every line helps not only with memorizing your lines, but your cue lines as well, and it's never a bad thing to know as much of the script (for all of the characters) as you can. It's easy to use, and I recommend this app to everybody I talk to about line memorization. Great App for ActorsThis app solves my problem of not having someone to run lines with. I haven't tried sharing yet, but everything else works as advertised. I prefer hearing a real voice (even if it's my own) to a computer- generated one. My update to ios 5 caused no issues. I give it five stars, but I hope the developer will keep improving it. Along with the previous suggestions, how about a way to run shorter sections repeatedly without having to run the whole scene? Saved my life!Since my daughter is grown and out working on her own, I don't have anyone to run lines with. Now, because of this app, I'm able to get it all done on my own. The only thing I wish this app had was the ability to share the show recording with other members of the cast. A must for actors!This really helps me work on memorizing my lines and I always recommend it to my fellow actors. It especially helps when you have two plays you're working on at the same time! For sales dialogues tooFor sales this is great for learning scripts dialogues and answers to objections. I practice with role play partners but they are not always available so this is perfect. Needs fix on major bugThere is a huge bug when trying to delete lines, you can't scroll to the bottom and delete lines. If you mess up and done realize until later, you have to delete the entire script. SO CLOSE to being perfectHere is how to make this a five-star app: 1: Fix the app so if I change the Scene name it sticks. Right now I've tried changing the scene name several times but it keeps reverting to "Scene 1". 2: Add the ability for users to "export/import" lines. Good app but a few bugsIf you are an actor, this is a great app to get those longer scripts for theatre into your head and body. Unfortunately the one feature for running separate selected scenes does not work any more. Nice App...Could Be Even BetterThis is a very nice app...for shorter scripts. But for longer scripts, you really need 2 things: import function to import the script, and a text to voice function instead of recording your own voice for all characters (this can become very tiresome for longer scripts). Very useful app!I found this app when I lost my tape recorder I use to learn lines. My method to learn lines just involves recording all the other lines and playing it back so I know my cues. But rewinding to find a certain part was always tricky on a recorder. There are many in depth rehearsal tool apps out there, but I just wanted a simple one! Best memorization app available!I downloaded this app 2 years ago and have used it for 6 different plays since then! I have experimented with several apps and have embarrassingly spent upwards of $20... What a waste! All you need is scene study. It takes time to setup as you have to record all lines, but it is super easy after that. Glad to see you just did an update and have available now on the Canadian App Store. Finally!!This is amazing! I'm able to learn my lines the more natural way...including practicing them while doing other things! (Not just reading them over & over!)
