Radar Mobile App Comments & Reviews

Radar Mobile Positive Reviews

Spotter Issue againJust like last year, spotter locations no longer show up on the radar for any of your apps. Yes, I am logged in to spotter network. RadarScope has never had this issue..Version: 1.31

Great app and not for your average weather enthusiast !I love this app, even though for me when I used correlation coefficient I was used to the red and orange color scheme rather than the current one. (If possible make an option to change it to the normal color scheme please).Version: 1.31

Simple things will improveThis seems like a solid app. I like the smoothing effect. The app could be better. Make it where I can do a single pane, or make it easier to do because I can't figure it out. Make the zooming in and out more smooth. Add location tracker. Level 2 radar and allisonhouse integration would be a nice addition. The overall design could be improved on for the $14 price tag. I will update review as needed..Version: 1.15

👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼Fantastic!!! needs advisory and special weather statement and fix map graphics but great app!! 🖐🏼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 1.30

The best weather app yet!No I'm not a professional meteorologist, nor a storm chaser, etc. But I do like watching and studying meteorological events so I have a bunch of weather apps, one that costs as much as this one. I kept balking at paying $10 for this app but the developers description mentioned several features that I was unfamiliar with. I'm glad I've spent the money as it is worth every penny IMHO. The two split display is a first, as far as I am aware, and now I can't do without it. And, the two finger swipe to enlarge either split display to full screen is ingenious. It's as "configurable" as any, and more so than most, other weather app that I've seen. This app along with Intellicast Boating and WeatherMap+ provides as complete weather data (atmospheric, ocean temperature and tide information, etc.) as anyone would want. For a pure NEXRAD radar data on a black background I still like the RadarScope app but the other app's ability to display terrain so as to be able to see if the landscape is affecting the weather cell is very nice. I think the "NOAA Weather and Radar" may be more the kind of app that the one and two star reviewers were after..Version: 1.7

Great updateI bought this app when it first came out and have seen it grow over the years. It has been slow at times and that is understandable but this update is great. I love the fact that you can now click on the warning and get the warning info. There are a few thing I would like to see in the future but I would recommend this to anyone who actually knows what this app is capable of. 1. Allison-house integration . 2. Level 2 data which would be generated either from Iowa state or Allison-house. 3. A option to see a list of all warning and the option to click on one to take you to that radar. 4. Have a few different color tables available To choose from or maybe a built in color table creator? These are just requests that I think would make the app better. As it is right now it is fully functional and great ..Version: 1.15

AlrightI really like this app, but I have noticed on reflectivity, it displays level 3 data. I would like it alot more if it displayed level 2 data. Otherwise amazing 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻.Version: 1.17

Weatherwall mobileThis is a great app especially with the added warnings. The only problem with it is that it only shows you Clear air witch does not update as fast as precipitation mode would. Another thing I wish it had was composite reflectivity. If they could add those two things this would be a great app..Version: 1.7

Innovative New FeaturesHaving used RadarScope for years, I must say that with some additional polishing, I fully expect this app to give them some stiff competition. The features I like best about WeatherWall versus RadarScope: 1. Dual-product display 2. Smoothing 3. National reflectivity mosaic 4. Dual-polarization products There is some room for enhancement/improvement: 1. The gray map just doesn't do much for me (simply personal preference, I like black map backgrounds) 2. SpotterNetwork integration 3. Customizable color tables (though I do like the ones currently included) 4. Warning polygons and watch boxes (with on/off toggle) All in all, a very promising app that's well worth the $9.99!.Version: 1.05

Nice radar appI wouldn't classify it as "the best" out there but it's the only one with split screen display and I like it. Couple of issues with colortables and the like but nothing the author can't/won't fix. Would be nice to see placefile / similar support for METAR, lightning etc but for the price paid it does the job!.Version: 1.1

I love this radar app.I love the split screen feature the most. I can watch two radar products at the same time for one radar location. The radar mosaic is wonderful to see the larger picture..Version: 1.28

Very good for all Weather needsThis is a great weather app. Not just your basic weather app. Has lots of great features. Great radar!! If you own a MacBook, Weatherwall is absolutely incredible. Everything you need for your inner weather geek(nerd) needs. (Me).Version: 1.24

Chase big tLove the product. It would be nice to be able toggle between full screen and dual screen. In other words, one image full or two images splits screen. Great job and like the may 7th updates..Version: 1.7

Amazing for the EnthusiastThis gem in the Weather category seems to be overlooked. With more features than the competition, I don't exactly understand why. Definitely get this app added to your iOS weather arsenal. Pros: * Split view. Unheard of in other iOS weather apps. * Dual Pol Products * Storm Relative Velocity based on Storm Speed & Motion * Reflectivity Mosaic * AllisonHouse Integration (for MCDs & Watches) * Spotter Network Integration Cons / Bugs: * UI leaves something to desire.Version: 1.17

Innovative!Everything you need in one app for a season full of storm chasing. Needless to say, can't wait for next spring and the updates WeatherWall will have by then..Version: 1.05

Add more stuffI would be even better with 3d hail cores and tornado hail signatures 3d maps it would make it so much better.Version: 1.18

Great app!I love this app the smoothing option and ability to filter the radar color table is awesome. My one request is to add more roads. Thanks and keep up the good work..Version: 1.28

Great weather app. It's been good radar app. With winter storms that we had. With spring storms coming soon this will be good radar app..Version: 1.14

Ok, but needs improvementI own Radarscope also, both priced the same. I do like this application, it just has a problem ingesting data and looping it. Unless you go to a specific site and keep the app open, it won't automatically ingest data. Also colors change when you loop, red doesn't always stay the same shade.Having said all that, it does has some nice features. The Echo displays are smoother and pleasing to the eye. The dual screen feature which shows two products being displayed simultaneous, is nice. I love the mosaic also. If the ingesting of data, and corresponding looping capability were fixed, I could give it more stars. It also has two radar sites with new data types from the new dual polarization radars. Haven't studied up on it, but looks cool..Version: 1.05

AwesomeReally the best radar app available, especially now with Allison House integration..Version: 1.26

Great app!Very clear and accurate radar. Great dual-pol products and reflectivity!.Version: 1.17

MoreI is good but it needs more.Version: 1.9

Love this appLike this app very much, not as good as radar scope but very neat.Version: 1.05

Awesome Radar ApplicationGreat app!!.Version: 1.22

UpgradeI'm a NSSL field observer in South Florida and this app is beyond imagine!!! PLEASE add an Allisonhouse data feed so I can view storm tracks and lightning data.Someday maybe a feed from the NHC?? Thank You Ralph..Version: 1.7
