Nice way to track car expensesI wanted a way to keep records of the things that have gone through with vehicles. Was not sure paper records would do. Search for a manageable database to do this. I believe I found it. I have had three vehicles since downloading this App. Now I have a history of cars I have owned and experienced. Great decision on my part. Update: With the new upgrade, this app is still my number one place to list any things I do to my vehicles. Truly a great way to keep track of repairs. And with the new features of capturing the recipes, it makes things easier. Thanks again! This is an update. Still think this is a good AP for keeping record for service and repairs. Also good to track my mileage. No I have not look for something new. Why replace when it’s not broken. But I do question why the designer have not update, with new features. Pretty goodIt serves its basic functions well, but it has a few shortcomings. For example, you have to create your own Sales Tax field, but any field you create has to be scheduled by months or mileage. Anything you enter will cause a reminder fro “Sales Tax” service to be performed. I also find myself performing much of the math in my head as the app doesn’t allow for negative numbers. So if you have a coupon and your receipt has a separate line item for that coupon, you’ll have to remember to subtract the discount from the price. I do like that I can customize the fields and add/remove fields that I may or may not need. And I do like naming an app to keep track of my auto service costs. Useful appI’ve been using Fuel Monitor since I got my “new” car December of 2015. I track everything from fuel fill-ups, oil changes, tire rotations and other services or repairs. I love being able to track time and expenses, and it also calculates my cost per mile. When I’m at the repair shop, I have all my old history at my fingertips. I just got a new phone and was worried that I might lose my old records or have to re-enter, but I was delighted to find the Backup & Restore option in the settings menu. It worked very smoothly. I used the WiFi backup with my computer. In the process, I discovered that I could also export my data to a spreadsheet. I’m delighted. I recommend this app..Outside EngineerVersion: 4.1

Solid AppConverted from Fuelly (which was absolutely ruined after its original “Gas Cubby” version). First, Fuel Monitor has a cool import feature that helped me import my vehicle’s data. It works well (assuming you know how to use Excel, FileMaker, or similar desktop application). The app is easy to use, has some unique features, but it does have a slightly odd (and somewhat dated) interface. At first I didn’t see the need to split Services and Repairs, but it works and I suppose this approach makes sense. I really don’t like that we’re not allowed to leave “months” blank when setting up service reminders. We need the ability to set reminders to miles / months / or both. Also, services are only grouped by service (oddly enough, Repairs are not grouped like this). We need the option to turn this forces grouping off, and additional sorting options would be great. Overall I’m happy with this app - it does what I need, it’s fast, and it has multiple import / export / backup options. Notably comprehensive, love the new update!I love the amount of information you can pack into one fuel log entry. The only thing I would suggest is adding a small description of the different input items for both fuel and maintenance logs. I had to ask a few people for help understanding what was being asked as I am not as savvy as some when it comes to vehicular lingo. Aside from that, I love the convenience and surety of this app over a paper log, and the new receipt uploader and location features are great too! Great program, some functions need workThe app has some great features such as ease of adding a car; listing fuel/repairs/maintenance in sorted format; all kinds of graphics with statistical information on the front pages for each car; ability to easily edit a car info; simple settings and easy to learn. Only one "bad" layout item...the function to edit the service types is a few screens deep. It really should be on the main settings page. Updated Review March 2021I’ve been using it for 4 or 5 years & it does what I need it to do. Unequaled app quality and fast support!!I have yet to find a better app that has the ability to be exactly customized to my specific wants and needs. Most apps can track a little of this or a little of that but this app allows you to track everything you want and breaks it down in every way. Fuel, repairs, routine maintenance and break it all down to see what a vehicle costs per month, week, year or even per day. It’s also probably the most easy to use and learn. Great tracking appGreat for gas mileage, most steps are intuitive. Quick to understand +pick location +save a screenshot of receipts *trend analysis has cost etc :) Only negative is Services maintenance recording. It’s is a bit messy (tire realignment, and filter changes for example are not easy in packaged services as you only select each item individually as opposed to being able to create grouping of a services and check/uncheck items from the group.) Love this appI have now used this app to track expenses for three vehicles. The last one I started when it was new and knew the total cost of ownership for the car including winter summer tire changes, fuel (including the price per gallon paid) for every fillup. It’s interesting to have evidence of the changes in fuel prices. When I traded the car in the cost of having the car had increased $.02 / mile from when I bought it. I now have a hybrid version of the same model car and it will be interesting to see how the cost compares..AndyAndreasenVersion: 5.0.1

Much improved after long awaited updateThis needed update is much improved. As before, I appreciate the service alerts keeping my car in good shape. Also recommend the user frequently download the data in case the app develops problems especially when new operating systems are installed. My criticisms are: the small size of the entry points and overall font size. I would also like to only delete the digits that have changed on the odometer from the prior setting. Great App if...The app is fantastic. Great layout, pages, charts, etc. The support I have received has been very responsive, however confusing. I would suggest a Checklist icon that would allow you to check off items that have been completed. I have also had a fuel input that gives me a mileage error. Fuel MonitorThis program has saved me a bundle. Not just with monitoring fuel but also keeping up with repair costs, repairs under warranty, and the timing of preventive maintenance. I’ve had several repairs where the parts went bad while still under shop warranty. Using fuel monitor, I was able to pull up the date the repair was done, and picture of the receipt. Reminders not fully editableExcellent app. I have been using it for years. However, reminders are not fully editable. Car use differ vastly from a region to another in the world, or from user to user. Mileage for oil replacement, filter change and so on cannot be cast in stone. When you tap to edit, nothing happens. Unfortunate replacementI used another app but it was not compatible with the newer IOS versions so I had to find another. The previous app kept track of fuel, services, repairs, and trips. What I enter in the app on my iPhone does not transfer to my iPad so I have to do two entries if I want to keep both reports current. It keeps reminding me every time I open it that my cars need attention even though The service was recently performed. I miss the trip tracker, too! I really like this appI've been using this app for some time now logging two vehicles. I like that it is straight forward, just input your information and it tells you what your gas mileage is and how much you've spent on gas, oil changes and repairs. Now my car is old enough that I'm adding additives to the engine and oil and I'm sure this will tell me if they are actually doing any good, as they advertise, or if their claims are bumpkis. Excellent for those who maintain carsI maintain 3 different cars. I drive only one of them. When I periodically put gas into the other two cars, I can see how far out the next service is due. I do 90% of my own maintenance and repairs. So having a section for notes is awesome. I did not realize how little money I was spending on services by doing the work myself (compared to having a garage do it all). I’ve used my data on the app to help determine when tires might need replacing. Love the reminders for cabin and engine air filters. Great for helping me diagnose if my A/C was failing or simply normal leak rate give the years and mileage between top-offs. Replacement for another appI bought this app to replace another app I had used for many years to track service and fuel on my autos, the other app was no longer being kept up with iOS updates so I could no longer use it. Not really liking this app a whole lot all though it does allow me to track but it just isn't as sophisticated as the previous app so I am finding it difficult to get use to using it. Good Vehicle Expense TrackerI like the app because it's rather simple and accurate. Currently I'm tracking three vehicles and it comes in good when I need to verify service history or maintenance cost. I dislike that you must upgrade to get the export feature. Most goodThe app interface is generally good. Nice look and reasonably easy to use. There are a couple of things that need improvement and, unless modified make the app difficult to use. 1- each time a fuel-up is added, the information from the previous entry auto- populates. To enter the new information the user is required to delete each data entry manually before entering the new information. If a data entry from the previous is missed the new data is skewed. A minor inconvenience, but inconvenient nonetheless. 2- The app will not allow a family who all use the same vehicle to make entries and sync to the record. It is possible to back up to the cloud, but that is very different from a sync. Backing up overwrites all previous data in the cloud. If an individual family member forgets to update to the cloud, and then a different member updates, any family data is lost. With out these modifications, the app is decent for a single- user only..KrobersonVersion: 3.6.2

Fuel trackerAre used to like this app. It worked well until about a month ago. Now he refuses to save my fuel costs. I tried to enter the data, and it keeps saying that I must have a mileage greater than a certain amount. When I check, my mileage is greater than the previous amount. It still will not let me save my data. I’m not sure what’s going on but I went from really liking this app to now disliking this app greatly. Will not migrateI have purchased the full version and when I go back to the original app to migrate, I get an error saying I need to purchase the full app. It send me to the Apple store and it says “open” I do and absolutely nothing. I have rebooted my phone and nothing. I tried exporting and importing and I get most data but my vehicle info does not export/import. I will just use the original Fuel Monitor app and not the full version..FFBull2Version: 6.0

Lost data from previous free versionI have used this app for years and had info from four vehicles on it. The app suddenly said that the app needed to be updated to work with the current version of the operating system. I purchased the new version assuming that it would find the data on my iPad from my old version. I was wrong. It worksNot the best, not the worst. Just works. I can see the developer changed purchase options. I am the „lucky“ one that have lifetime subscription, because I was one of the pioneers in the Dinosaurus times. One star only because ‘0’ isn’t an option!The application works well enough, however almost immediately after installation, it starts to display a Rate Application’ window, making the application a great pain in the donkey to use. If there was a reasonable amount of time between installation/first use and nagging for a rating, and if once dismissed, didn’t reappear, this would be useful piece of software.
