Golfshot Golf GPS + Watch App Positive Reviews

One problemThis app is amazing. I only have one problem. Please get the swing ID to work on Driving Range, please. It is so annoying to have to pay for a full round of golf to see the swing ID. And if anybody has not used the swing ID yet it is a game changer. This app is worth $100 a year simply for the swing ID as long as it works in Driving Range , or in your backyard at your house just someplace other than being on the actual physical golf course. Can you please give some type of update of when the swing ID will work at a Driving Driving or away from a Golf Course. But this app is truly amazing. There is not any app that’s even close to this not Arco’s, not 18Birdies. Nothing there’s no app that compares to what this app does. I remember this app when it just gave you three yardages back in middle. So the developers and owners of this app you have something amazing with swinging ID can you please get it to work at a Driving Range before the end of this year please please please please please please please. #SwingID.Version: 3.85

Faulty Algorithm in Auto Shot TrackingUPDATE - Reply to the developer’s response: Turn off the “Auto Advance” feature is not the right solution. Please confirm that you will forward my suggestion on the correct programming algorithm to your development team. It’s a simple programming change, and it will fix the bug once and for all….. I recently paid for Golfshot Pro due to its new auto shot tracking capability. I played about 9 rounds so far using auto shot tracking. It worked generally fine with random missed shots. However, the app has an algorithm deficiency that should be corrected, as detailed below: In a situation that after I took a tee shot and Golfshot detected the shot and started tracking… if, on my way to the green, I go near or pass by a tee box area of another hole, Golfshot would abandon the ongoing shot tracking, and reset my play to the hole I was only passing by. Even when I manually reset the app to continue playing the hole I was still working on, the tracked shots and distance data are lost and unrecoverable! The correct algorithm should be: The incomplete tracking data should have been retained in the buffer, instead of being thrashed immediately, in a situation that the player was merely passing by another hole’s tee box. Golfshot should resume tracking the last shot as soon as it detected that the player was still working towards the unfinished green..Version: 3.54

Not what I hopedI have an iPhone X and an Apple Watch 3 series and decided to give this app a try on a 5-day golf trip. Downloading the courses and navigating the app on the phone were okay but there were some usability issues I found very frustrating. First, starting a round is easy enough but figuring out how to end a round (if you intended to just look at the hole fly-overs, or decided to score manually) is a challenge. The “end round” feature is buried in the menu and without finding it, there’s no alternative to load a new course. After setting up my clubs and distances, I found the overall suggestions from the app on the phone to be decent and the GPS to be within a yard of other hand held GPS that were present on the courses I was playing. The major issue was the lag on the watch and the fact that even though the round was being played with my phone in pocket, the watch rarely ever could keep and glancing at my wrist yielded either the yardage from the tee (start) or dashes. Very often the applet on the watch would t even come up and I would need to hunt for it. I wanted this to be easier and more intuitive and was considering the $29 if the response on the watch was decent but it just wasn’t.Version: 3.14

Watch ScreenLike the app and how it works with my Apple Watch Ultra 2, but I don’t see any benefit from having a tiny graphic of the hole taking up most of the watch face. If I need to see the layout of the hole I will pick up my iPhone. I think that this graphic should be removed- or give me the option to remove it - and make the other information larger and easier to see - in particular the distance that the golfer is from the spot where the last shot was taken. Knowing how far you are after hitting a ball is often helpful to find it particularly if you have missed the fairway. Also, today when I walked to the pin to set the pin location the message was that the pin location had already been set today. Not by me! I doubt any earlier golfer had as only three players were on the course before me. But even if they were, and did set the pin location, and somehow the app added that I for to my iPhone and watch, I’m not sure tha t would be helpful. I will almost always walk to the pin and take a look at my putt while looking back at the ball..Version: 3.86

Love it but let’s make it better - Update 10/22I love using golf shot. I have the pro version and love putting my phone down and not picking it up the entire round. Scoring, distances, shot tracking and swing ID, from my watch. They are all great. Now, let’s make it better. Let me use swing ID in my garage hitting into a net or on the driving range. The stats are great, but let me look up my stats by golf course. I know the data is already there. When I start a round and the screen to pick my starting hole comes up, it has my stats for each hole right there. Now just let me pick the course from a list when I’m at home and let me review my stats on each hole, lifetime, last 20 and last 5. I know you can do it. Stop holding out on me. The latest update messed up auto shot tracking. Just played a round and it picked up less than 20% of my swings. It used to pick up all of them, including slower practice swings. Now I had to track them manually using my phone. Not cool..Version: 3.86

Effortless tracking with apple watchGood overall. Gave it a 5 stars but could be 6 stars and more. Tried alot of golf tracking apps, as well as the “club markers” app and they never fully seemed to be able to perform up to par, so to speak. The other apps missed too many shots, which led me to golfshot. This app tracks shots very well, with apple watch. Rarely have I had to add or edit shots. Really only on punch outs or recovery shots have I had to change anything. I like the caddie or suggested club feature to help chose your club, for the shot required. Also like all the distances to objects when using the phone app. The beauty is that you can use both the watch and phone app at the same time, without issues. Would like to see “Shots Gained”. Hopefully an upcoming feature. Also would like to be able to set the pin, when reaching the green, with the apple watch and track putts better. With those features it would be an absolute outstanding app..Version: 3.81

Best golf appUPDATE March 2018 - thank you shotzoom for the Apple Watch update - you have resolved the only major complaint I had about the app. (When you previously updated to use the native watch gps, it took so long for gps to get an accurate reading that the app was practically unusable for me on the watch.). The new update enables real time accurate readings on the watch with no lag. Amazing - well done - best golf app out there. ORIGINAL POST - Dec 2016 - I've tried and compared all the major golf gps / scoring apps on the market - GolfShot is the winner in my book. Apple Watch version has great interface, very usable. Occasionally I pull the iPhone out of my pocket for a satellite view of more complex situations, but generally the watch version is all I need to reference for distances and entering score and stats after each hole. I have just recently added the official handicap tracking feature and there's no easier way to keep your official handicap rating current. Just one feature on my wish list - the app needs to take advantage of the built in gps of the new version of Apple Watch so that you can leave the iPhone in the golf cart and still get an accurate read. They say they are working on this - hope they can get it released soon. UPDATE July 2017 - that one feature on my wish list has just been added in the latest release. Can't wait to test it this weekend..Version: 3.14

Great app but buyer beware on a small glitchThis is easily the best golf app for someone that uses an Apple Watch and wants all of the bells and whistles during a golf round. It is extremely accurate on all base yardage to the front, middle, and back of each green. The ease of knowing the distance to hazards and distance of each shot is outstanding. All of the data being accessed after a round for review is great. My single issue which is why I say buyer beware if you have a Apple Watch is there is a glitch in the software as it relates to workout data being communicated to the health data on on the IPhone. Some days it communicates the first hour of the round most days nothing is send from the Golfshot app to the health app. If you do not care about this feature in my opinion it is the easiest, most accurate, with outstanding features of all of the apps I have tried. I will likely look for another similar app to replace Golfshot as I really want the health data along with the golf data..Version: 3.81

Great App, initial shot tracking feedbackUpdate: Like most people, I just started using this new feature without reading in detailed documentation first :-). I have now read through it and understand there was some things I wasn’t quite following properly. Will give it another go on a round of golf and report back.. I’ve been using this app for several years and it’s got many features and it’s a great app. Today I played with the new shot tracking feature and unless I’m doing something incorrectly, it was too cumbersome to use for my liking. More specifically, every time I took a practice swing, and the club touches the ground (which it almost always does), it would register a shot. So I had to keep pressing my Apple Watch face and click cancel shot, in between that shot and my real shot, and after several times it was becoming a distraction to my game so I turned it off. If I’m doing something wrong please let me know, i’d be happy to give it another go and would really like to reap the benefits of this!.Version: 3.53

Best Support Team I’ve Ever Dealt WithFirst of all, if you’re looking to reviews to see if the app is worth it on the course to the average weekend golfer I say HECK YES. You can never have too much information about the course and GolfShot provides it in an incredibly user friendly manner whereas other apps I’ve used have been overwhelming to look at and frankly, just not appealing when it comes to navigating the menus and settings. Now for the big bonus to choosing GolfShot over any other GPS/round scoring app…I build my own clubs and typically go the budget route so I wasn’t surprised to see my iron heads missing from the equipment list and really wasn’t bothered by it but I decided to reach out to the support team with the info on my set and they SWIFTLY had them in the system. I’m talking within hours I received a genuine, helpful response. That’s never been the case for me with any support team and I’ve just gotta give credit where credit is due. This app is top tier compared to its competitors and the premium version is worth every penny, even for the average weekend golfer like myself. I still find more features on a regular basis! They really are in touch with the community and listen when we take the time to put in our two cents. Love to see it. Thanks, GolfShot! Keep changing the game for the better!.Version: 3.86

A few more short game metrics, and it's perfectI have had the app for years, and it is the best out there. My only gripe is I wish they had a few more features that I feel aren't too hard to implement and it would be an EASY 5 stars: - Length of Putts This one is HUGE. I think the app should ask you after you enter the number of putts what length they were. There is a massive difference between 29 putts per round when your average distance was 12' versus 29 putts when your average distance was 50' -Proximity to pin By implementing the above, they could also display a stat for aggregating proximity to the flag -Chipping Number of chips per hole, as well as a metric to show you how many chips you average when you chip -Recovery shots (after tee shot) Logging this stat would definitely help paint a picture of errant tee shots that weren't penalties -"Improve your game" Section Using the new stats above and culminating all the stats into something tangible that tell you where your weaknesses are. Would be able to use to delegate practice time. -Editing scores is a bit clunky If you enter a wrong metric or score for a hole, the app takes you to the next hole. You then have to hit the back button, re-select the hole you want to edit, click score, then re-edit. It would be nice if it was a little easier. The app is great, a few more of these and it will be perfect!.Version: 3.81

JenkI have had the app for a year not using it until about a month ago and I wasn’t impressed at first because the little 9 hole course I play at most of the time was not accurate at all. One hole wasn’t there, tee boxes wrong, holes going to putting greens, and I almost dropped it. I seen the support tab and I sent a request to update the course. They replied quickly and asked me to send a screenshot of the course and mark the greens and tees. I did and I went overboard and gave them 3 different tees, lines from tee to green, and an updated scorecard. I left and drove 15 minutes to the course and it was already updated!!!! I am very impressed with Golfshot App!! It is perfect now, yardages, flags, greens, blue, white, and red tees. I love this app and will definitely be renewing my subscription soon when it expires. By far the best golf App ever!!!!!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE GOLFSHOT APP!!!!!! 👍🏻👌🏻.Version: 3.78

Mostly helpful but 3 big flawsI’m an 11 handicap and have the pro subscription and enjoy using the app. The data it offers, particularly with swing ID, is illuminating. That said, three BIG flaws need to be addressed. First, it drains the Apple Watch battery 60% after 9-holes. I “fixed” this by purchasing an Apple Watch Ultra (bigger battery). Would be nice if you could toggle GPS off between shots to preserve battery life. Second, you can’t use swing ID on the range. What good is that data if you can’t use it to practice? I mean, it’s helpful data, but not very accurate beyond tee shots. I would like to be able to select which club I’m shooting before each shot, not have it assume automatically based on distance. That’s why it’s really only helpful on tee shots. Finally, it doesn’t differentiate between actual shots and practice shots. There needs to be a toggle option to allow us to practice swings without registering a shot..Version: 3.81

New to Golf AppsI played golf much more in my 20’s and 30’s and now I’m getting back into it in my early 50’s. It’s crazy the technology that’s involved in golf now. I downloaded a few apps and this is the one I kept. It takes a few rounds to figure stuff out and to get familiar with the phone and the watch, not to mention buying a iPhone holder that I can attach to the cart as well as my carry bag so I can track shots and distances more efficiently. (Also bringing my external battery pack.) I wanted a free app and this was great as a free app with the scorecards, tracking, hole flyovers, etc, but I am going to buy the yearly subscription even though I’ll have to see if I use the extra stuff. I feel it’s the least I can do for getting something that has helped me and my game so much. Thanks Golfshot..Version: 3.74

Great Apple Watch features but scorecard needs workI love this app and use the premium for distances to hazards and the flyover when playing new courses. After using many golf gps apps this one won me over with its Apple Watch interface. Over time the app has learned how far I typically hit my driver and now shows me how far out my shot will likely end up off the t box. My only complaint is the scorecard feature. I really like it for scoring and emailing to myself and playing partners after the round BUT I find I am often missing some scores. If you wait to record scores on your way to or at the next t box (as you should), the app will sometimes jump ahead and record your score on the wrong hole, or miss some of the scores you thought you had recorded. I would prefer to manually advance the app to the next hole to prevent that from happening..Version: 3.63

Best Golf App and excellent customer service!I have tried all the different golf apps that are out there and this one is hands-down, the best. The functionality and the reliability of the app is the light years ahead of the others. I actually had some issues where I needed to contact, customer support, and the level of support I received, and the response times were some of the best I’ve experienced. They were very patient with some of my questions, and walked me through everything in great detail until I had it set up the way it needed to be. hands-down an A+ experience with the app and the customer service team at Golfshot. I would highly recommend that you use this app and become a premium member as you will love the feedback the app gives you. Happy golfing everyone!.Version: 3.95

This will save you so many strokesI am certain there are many reviews out there for this app, many probably made by better far golfers than me, but here is two more cents from yet another hacker. The advantages this app will give you seem almost unfair and I cannot even calculate how many strokes it has saved me per round. Knowing the distance from tee to green is one thing, but knowing the distance to that lake, that hazard or that bend in the fairway has definitely helped me make better decisions and has offered a more structured approach to the game. If you’re tempted to replace your driver or get that new hot putter-forget it, the five more yards you might get over your old driver for a few hundred more bucks cannot supplement the value this app has to offer toward enhancing your course management skills..Version: 3.77

Awesome app paired with Apple Ultra 2I have been a Garmin customer since the S60, then S62 and finally the Epix gen 2. I even had the CT10 club sensors. I became frustrated with the performance of a few items - CT10 club sensors as their batteries or the connection inside failed in just weeks in some cases. - The shot estimation had wildly out of range shots which gave garbage recommendations… For example it claimed I hit my putter 450 yards! Garmin’s answer was for me to find the round with the bad data and delete that data… But no help in actually solving the problem. So I got an Apple Watch Ultra 2 and then added Golfshot. I have now played two rounds and I’m enjoying the experience. After playing 18 holes today the watch still has 66%, which means I could easily play 2 rounds in a day and have plenty of battery for the rest of the day. Bravo! I have more to learn with Golfshot as I was deep into using Garmin for 5+ years, but they have a new and very happy customer. I do with swing ID would work at the driving range, this could be a very valuable tool. Hopefully they will add that in the future. It would be awesome if I could have my phone nearby and get real-time feedback on my swing. It would be like Golftec on our wrist!.Version: 3.87

Great app, aside from it forgetting scoresI’ve had the Golfshot app for years and it has easily been my favorite golf GPS app. The flyovers, AR feature, club recommendations, and overall ease of use have always made the app great. However, one major issue that has been plaguing this app for a while now is a glitch with the scorecard where it will randomly forget scores that you inputted during your round. I’ve reported this issue multiple times and still no luck and this issue was present over multiple updates as well as multiple versions of iPhones. As a result, I have to use a paper scorecard in addition to the app because every single round the app will forget scores inputted on at least a couple holes..Version: 3.26.2

Best I have used so farGot back into golf after year's and I have tried a lot of apps to track scores and figure out the distances on my clubs. This app has the auto tracking which makes my interaction with the app even more seamless. What I really like this apo is it shows your swing and breaks it down into different categories like tempo and backswing distance, if you went shallow or steep over the top and if you went outside in or inside out. The only issue I have for this app that would have given it 5 stars and more is it doesn't have a practice mode for the range so you can't use all those shot tracking features to work on your swing. If it did that it would absolutely be the best app hands down. I saw rumor that they might be working on this and that would be awesome if they were..Version: 3.85

Nice features, but a HUGE battery drainThere’s a nice track shot feature to allow GPS tracking of distance and accuracy for each club. You’re able to see the stats for each club which is nice. However, it’s a pain to enter in the club info at the ball. It would make more sense to enter that info as soon as the button track is hit, prior to going to the ball. I’m already thinking ahead of the next shot by the time I’m at the ball. There’s also a “fitness” tracking feature which is nice. However, having the GPS on all the time drains my battery extremely fast. I can’t make it through an entire 18 holes with the app on. For the developers, perhaps the app can have GPS on situationally, ie ONLY to locate nearby facilities and when the you select “at ball” in the track feature..Version: 3.38

Great app for a stats nerdI actually love this app. Bought it after a trial when I bought my Apple Watch Ultra 2 about 2 months ago. Once I got the hang of it in one round the metrics it collected for me when I had my bag setup on the app was insane! I learned more about my golf game in 20minutes eating lunch than I had in the 10 months I’ve been playing. Yea it’s a tad pricey for the one year subscription at one time but totally worth it for the 5$ a month or what ever it came out to. If you’re a golfer with a nerdish obsession with stats that can give you a legitimately decent caddy recommendation on which club to use and capture your performance with that club get this!.Version: 3.95

Great on the iPhone, Apple Watch is almost thereCan’t say enough good things about the app on the iPhone. Only way to accurately gauge distance without a range finder. Only thing missing really is elevation. Tracks a lot of stats you would care about. Learned today that you need to have the to subscription to show the maps and distances on the Watch. If your map is white on the Apple Watch, it’s because you need the to subscription. $30 bucks annual is steep, but developers are not free. Apple Watch app does need improvement though. Can’t select specific areas of the map for custom distances. Also, GPS is much slower to update than my Garmin Watch. Definitely something to consider..Version: 3.13

Good Working on Being GreatI Love your App!!! There are many positives. I use your app to view what my next shot from direction and distance should be. There are times when issues arise as to where and how far (carry) should be. I count on my measurements of carry and direction. As long as I know I can access your info quickly and accurately for my next shot I am a Happy player. I believe in Ready Golf and want to ensure timely play. “At times” your App is slow to inaccurate what I can count on for my next shot as I try to calculate what it should be. Between your App and Me getting better at utiIzing your App I’m sure we will concur using the Best Golf Play App ever developed for the Average Golfer..Version: 3.42

Love the App! But…I do love this app. I use it mostly for the GPS on the Apple Watch. It’s also nice that they still give you some basic stats about your game on the free version. One suggestion though. Right now your individual statistics are calculated using data from all rounds scored on the app, meaning your data is an accumulation over many seasons. It may be a tough install, but if there were a way to sort your statistics by season that would be a major update. It’s nice to be able to track your progress, not only by your handicap, but by looking at how your FIR, GIR, putts, etc. change year in and year out..Version: 3.65

Very ExcellentI started back up golfing with a buddy about year ago. I love the scorecard feature as opposed to the paper scoreboards that I would usually just throw away anyway. So far every course I have played has been in the app and I can track my progress by an easy review of the scorecard. I tried out the AR feature and it was awesome. Sometimes your ball lands in places that make viewing the pin a little difficult, however easy to find through the app. I don’t have to guesstimate how far away I am because I get the distance through the app and so far it has worked great with the watch. I also love how it syncs with my daily activity!.Version: 3.24

Great app but one major limitationThis app (free version) is great. I started using this a few years back and has evolved since. It pretty much has everything you’d want in a free golf scorecard + gps app. It records various stats, gps to the hole, easy to use user interface, etc. However, I find myself using another app (like 18birdies) because of one missing feature...being able to get distances to anywhere on the map. In other free golf apps, you can select any place on the golf course and get distances to it. I understand it is a part of the paid version but not the free version. I feel like it should be since almost all the other apps have this feature. It just stinks that all the history I have on this app is wasted since I’m now using another app. Oh well..Version: 3.18

There’s no easy app for The Watch.I’ve been using this app since my iPhone 3G, it’s great. I’ve tried all the others and have come back to golf shot every time. The main reason I love this app is how easy it is to track your score and stats on the watch. Now that the watch auto tracks shots it’s just a no-brainer to use. One tip, if you use the auto shot tracking of your Apple Watch it’s very important that you score the hole prior before you hit your next tee shot. I’ve found if you don’t do this the auto shot tracking gets a bit confused but it makes sense, scoring the hole most likely resets the tracking to the next tee box..Version: 3.52

Long Time User...For the most part the app is fine. I’ve trained myself to “calibrate” the GPS with my laser by going to the 150 marker and noting what Golfshot reads to the middle of the green then going to the middle of the green and use the laser to shoot the 150 marker. From there I mentally adjust what shows in Golfshot, typically +/- 2-7 yards. This is helpful for blind shots. Score keeping for the groups is average. The interface to keep score could be enhanced with less screen changes for each golfer’s score. Defaulting to Par would also reduce taps. A handy addition. would be using GHIN to update all golfer’s CH and then a choice of playing off of the low CH. More games would be nice (Skins?). Extra credit to allow different groups to keep and share scores in real time. The ability to download past scores would be welcomed and mentioned for years. The stats are fine but tedious to review in the app or site. On a final note, the reviews are ripe with questions to common situations and “complaints”. Instead of the generic “contact support” response, why not answer the questions in the response so others can learn from it. At the very least cut and paste from the FAQ..Version: 3.45

Loving itI’ve used this app for almost 10 years. I love everything it has to offer. Yardages are very accurate. Especially for a mid to high handicap where loft isn’t such a big issue. My only downfall would be the ability to transfer my round hole by hole with stats direct to the U.S.A. Ghin app rather than a total score as my course requires me to keep that active for match play. Would love to see the AR function a little more automated. Maybe the track shot function could be an option auto function. All in all it’s a great tool. Not much need for a range finder..Version: 3.82

Difficulty on Apple WatchI got this app to use on my Apple Watch and it functions pretty smoothly once you figure it out. My biggest (and only) complaint is that with auto club tracking, you select the club that you’re hitting by spinning the Digital Crown on the Apple Watch. When you swing, occasionally the crown spins mid swing and changes the club. This forces you to go back and update most of the tracked shots in your round which is quite difficult due to the time it takes to do so, as well as having to remember what you hit on every single hole. I would give the app a 5-star review if it had an option to turn off the dial spinning select mode in favor of touch screen swipe controls..Version: 3.95

5 stars after 50+ roundsFor years I‘ve been looking for a Watch&iPhone combination to get rid of my Garmin watch. In GolfShot I finally found a full replacement with great usability and playability. What is essential to me: - auto distance tracking after each shot (…know where to look for the ball in case you don‘t find it) - global database of courses - quick distance readings (greenside) on the watch - quick detailed layout info and layup planning on the iphone - legibility: past the age of 45 our vision starts to get worse. Too many apps on the watch display information in unnecessarily super-small fonts. Not so GolfShot: easy to read with dedicated screens and intuitive to operate. - battery usage allows comfortable to get through a full round without battery-loss anxiety In all these categories, GolfShot is really excellent and I will never go back to a $500+ dedicated Golfwatch. For that same amount I can get through 10 years with GolfShot on the annual plan..Version: 3.81

It is a great app.I have been using this app for a few years now. The more I use it the more I realize what I can do with it. You can track your club distances with the GPS to see what you are averaging on each club. Now if the reception is weak it might interfere but I have not had this problem. It will suggest clubs for the course from you past input. I originally got the app just to keep my scores. It does that and more. When you load your golfers for a round of golf remember to scroll down to start. Some have complained about this, but due to the reporting process for a handicap it’s necessary. I like the app..Version: 3.21

Old EyesGolf Shot has one glaring shortcoming for those of us who need reading glasses to read small print. When looking at my Apple Watch, I cannot tell for sure if it has indexed to the correct hole. The current hole data at the top of the screen is in low contrast blue on a black field and something approaching 6 point type. Could you have your GUI staff improve that bit, please? I do not like pulling out my glasses just to see if the watch knows where it is supposed to be. I want to focus on my game, not on managing my watch during a round. Otherwise, I find the app on the watch and the phone to be very effective and I love reviewing the flyover data when it happens to record it correctly..Version: 3.74

Free version does everything I needHas gps and a good scoring system. you have ability to enter putts, total stokes, sand shots and penalties, as well as club used to tee off and fairway hit/missed (you select the direction it missed). These are all scrollable and it makes selecting easy. Takes a couple seconds and can be done in between holes. It auto calculates if you made the green in regulation (and percentage overall) and the percentage of fairways hit. Each time Yuu play a round, it remembers how you’ve done on that hole before. You can book tee times and do some other things but I mainly use it for rounds..Version: 3.15.1

Best of the many I triedI upgraded to Golfshot Pro because I was so happy with the app. It has two features most important to me: distances using iwatch GPS (the iphone should be in bluetooth range but does not have to be on your person), and a terrific shot tracking feature that allows you to see all your shots and distances on overlayed on each hole after the round. I don't believe there's another iwatch app that does that. In addition, tech support has been terrific and responsive including remapping one of my local courses when I reported some errors..Version: 3.75

Better than a range finder. After going golfing with this app over a hundred times, comparing it to my friends rangefinders, yardage markers on course and cart gps on the nicer golf carts. This is hands down the best option for someone who doesn’t want to take a mortgage out on a golf accessory. Most range finders start at the price of the Apple Watch and that’s all they do. My Apple Watch does all sorts of things, like tell me I’m fat or that I breathe too shallow. So that’s nice. And you can upgrade the app to do something else but I didn’t, because I just use it as a range finder, and that parts free. So have fun and play well..Version: 3.26.6

Watch loses connection after three holesI switched to an iPhone 15 from the iPhone X, I’ve had the Pro version of the app and for years I’ve had no problems. Now that I have a new phone, my watch keeps losing connection. I have to constantly bring the app back up on my watch. I contacted customer service and they gave me the settings that my phone needed to work properly. Those settings are exactly the same as the settings on my watch so no changes. I also noticed that the app no longer tracks the health features, steps , exercise and calories during the round. Canceled the subscription. Too bad I liked it when it worked..Version: 3.93

A must haveWhat got me hooked was the price. $40 / year for this, given that represents the cost of a couple rounds IN GOLF BALLS ALONE for many people, is a bargain. That said I would not pay much more than that. But the value is there especially if you own an Apple Watch and not an rangefinder (or in my case you own one but you now realize you didn’t need it because of Golfshot.) I wish it had a family plan. I would like to be able to configure the experience a bit. And I wish it would take a crack at tracking my strokes and putts. But I can’t to without it even as is..Version: 3.38

LoveI love this app dearly. Few things; What is the difference if any between Golfshot and Golfshot Plus?? I can’t figure it out for the life of me and don’t know which one to use so I just use the original Secondly, the editing of auto tracked shots needs some work. Extremely tedious to edit on the phone while playing (because how am I supposed to remember shots after the round? I barely remember to edit the club on my watch) In any case can you PLEASE make the shot track editing reversed? Who wants to scroll through 14 holes of shots already hit to get to the 15th hole to edit a shot while you’re playing?? No one. Is there an easier way to pick clubs to log the shots?? I don’t want to be distracted while golfing I want to play but is there a better way to track shots? I can’t tell you how many times my watch auto logs my shot as a 3 hybrid instead of a 5 wood and similar type situations….Version: 3.65

Love this app - needs more.Love this app. Clean and efficient. Not sure what the difference between standard and pro is? I would add scorecards and different games to this, like Wolf, Hammer, Wolfhammer, Snake, etc. For match play, allow for more than 2 teams ie. 6 players 3 teams ( 2 v 2 v 2). Thanks!.Version: 3.13

Since upgraded to new IOS14, app is not working on Apple watch. Any solution...Please give solution. Since downloaded IOS 14, How to get it worked with Apple watch.Version: 3.42

Awesome AppI highly recommend this app. Able to keep scor, gps is spot on, was able to select the right club, so simple to use for an average golfer. You don’t need a watch either. Might be handy so your not pulling out your phone, but not required. I’m very happy with this app..Version: 3.92

GolfshotI’ve been using the free version quite happily for a few years. Recently on my Apple Watch I have to select the Golfshot app every hole. Same for my husband. What happened??.Version: 3.93

Great AppDoes everything I want. I mostly use it for keeping score and distance to the greens. That said there are many other features for golf enthusiasts. I was going to buy a golf watch but with this app there is no need..Version: 3.85

PuttingToo much time to pace your putting yardage..Version: 3.86

Best of the Bunch!I’ve been using this app for just over the year and absolutely love it! Easy to use and accurate data. Love the shot tracking as I enter my shots into a spreadsheet to keep a running distance average. One thing that is really great that most apps can’t claim is that the support group are very responsive and extremely helpful. I’ve had to reach out to them a couple of times when I’ve deleted a round by mistake and in a matter of hours it’s been restored! Can’t say enough about how important having a strong support group is..Version: 3.85

Great support teamThey responded to my request very quickly. Their advice solved the problem. I then received a follow up email to make sure all was going well. I was very impressed..Version: 3.85

The range is a bit offI find that the yard counter is a bit off from the course markers and other peoples gps locators ...Version: 3.81

Recently became unstable on iwatchStarts and finds course easily but many times in past month the iwatch doesn’t allow for tracking if score and “flickers” or rolls without response. I need to add score on phone. Is this because I’m not purchasing the app and using the free app? Do you want me to purchase or is there an upgrade required for app?.Version: 3.84

Bug on apple watchBug on apple watch. When I want to enter score it goes left to hole preview..Version: 3.84

OKAY APP. But needs minor fixes.Decent App but a bit buggy.. Yardage was off compared to course or other smart golf watches.. Garmin watches were much more accurate. App would sometimes glitch out to not allow score to be inputted on watch and instead score had to be inputted on phone. Very annoying. I am sure each of these is a simple software update and then I would give it 10/10 and would consider purchasing the full version..Version: 3.83

Amazing app but what makes it outstanding is their Customer ServiceI really love this app. I’ve been using it since the beginning and I do buy the pro version. Every years new features comes to life which makes this app already number one in my book even better. Now what makes it even more amazing is that my course did have the proper slope and it really affected my handicap. Within a few days after the original communication Nadja (the service rep) had everything fix. Wow!.Version: 3.81

👍.Version: 3.81

Great customer serviceWas dealing with Nadja via email. She was so responsive and addressed every question I had and made recommendations. I’ve always liked the app and will continue to use it. Usually when you pay for an app all you get is the tech but with golf shot you get great service to..Version: 3.81

Course Not Up to dateKawartha GC changed its holes in August 2022 and the app has not updated to reflect..Version: 3.81

GPSUne Bonne différence dans les distances au moins 15 verges de différence en moins..Version: 3.81

App parfaiteT’es bonne app ça fait déjà quelques années que je l’utilise et je suis satisfait avec iPhone et Apple Watch.Version: 3.78

Great App, Not PerfectI enjoy using this golf app the most compared to other shot tracking and gps apps. My one main wish for this app is to have two more directions for off the tee shot. One being hook and other being slice. As is now, if I miss the fairway right/left by two feet or if I’m right/left 50 yards into the trees. When I look back on my round that I don’t track every shot, all I can see is that I missed the fairway right or left, not if it was a slice/hook OB or a missed fairway by a yard or two. That is my wish for this app that would make it perfect for me..Version: 3.81

Software issueThe app fails to rotate the score card when tilting the phone (IOS) The freezes and will not resume unless exiting it.Version: 3.75

It’s OK but erratic.Distance to pin, isn’t reliable, in fact it’s always wrong. Would be nice if I could turn that off. It’s just confusing. Shot distance tracking has never worked for me. Turn it on, nothing happens. Distances are often 10 yards difference, my watch to my wife’s??? But sky caddie had same problem. I do like the score and stat tracking made easy. If I had a wish it would be that it linked to my Golf Canada account and saved me the step of filing my scores with them..Version: 3.77

OopsI thought the yardages were off (see previous review). The folks at golfshot quickly determined that I had selected meters rather than yards. Impressive service. And um, yes the yardages are spot on..Version: 3.75

Best golf app! Way better than a range finder too!Pro version is worth it!.Version: 3.75

Love the appGreat, simple to use and easy linking to my watch.Version: 3.75

Still struggling with Apple Watch trackingHoping there is a YouTube video to help set up clubs better for women and track more than 2 putts per hole!.Version: 3.75

Awesome AppLove the App but it seems to be off by 10 yards. Really love the overhead view and that it has every coarse I’ve ever played..Version: 3.74

I love it.Very good interface and great club recommendations as I’m using pro version. In’s and out’s of auto tracking with Apple watch can be ambiguous at first but is working 95% of the time. I’m still not sure how to get it to change clubs I’m using at times. It doesn’t seem to use my actual yardages to calculate the auto distance for each club unless I’m missing something. Aside from all that it’s a great resource to keep track of your personal progress. Real time yardage and hazard info is great. I’d like the ability to mark certain rounds as null so far as my stats are concerned. I’d like to keep my earlier rounds but they really affect the stats a lot since I wasn’t playing well early on. Another cool feature could be the ability to show parts of fairways that are high and then descend to lower elevations..Version: 3.75

Pro Version helps yardageI use the pro version and love the distances to all the hazards and greens. Really helps with club selection. Really like the tracking ability. But one thing… the ability to reset all your stats..Version: 3.70

Golfshot AppBasic function is quick and easy and works great. The problem I had is the maps are off in Canada due to proximity of satellites. The pin positions are out by 20 to 50 yards. Not very useful to plan your approach..Version: 3.74

ProThe pro mode was the best in app I’ve bought.Version: 3.69

Fantastic App!This is a great app especially if you pair it with the Apple Watch. Definitely helps you track your game progress!.Version: 3.61

Great features but lacks accuracy on yardageI love the ease of use and many features of this app but it can be 20-30 yards off on yardage. It is off by that much on 5 holes at my home course. 10-15 yds on a few others. The same on other courses I have played. So I still have to use a range finder because I am uncertain of which holes are good and which are not so defeats the main purpose of the app..Version: 3.60

Awesome AppI have been using this for a few years, have tried others and keep coming back to this! Keep up the good work!.Version: 3.60

Out of SyncThis app is terrible if you try to use the sync to your Apple Watch. It is so frustrating with not keeping the right score using shot tracking your focus turns to the app and not your golf game. The GPS becomes completely useless on the Apple Watch. Will not use this app after end of subscription..Version: 3.60

Fantastic appApp works great love every feature very happy but kills my watch. Make sure watch fully charged I barely make it through a round before it dies..Version: 3.58

ReviewDynamic golf course in our region. My last game before eye surgery ... hip hip hooray. Hoping to return and try with eyes that can see my dam golf ball. Seriously. This is likely the best and most challenging course in the Essex County area. Very well maintained, groomed, with a sensational layout. We started with the old original GOLD course and finished on the RED course. Using Golfshot helped greatly with the layout distances recommended Clubs,. I was struggling too often to appreciate consistent gold shots. My purpling wasn’t working on the folly Polly greens. But golfshot made it enjoyable..Version: 3.58

Missing for meIs the option to rename my club’s. For example a 52 o..Version: 3.58
