Galileo Organ App Comments & Reviews

Galileo Organ Positive Reviews

Best iPad emulator so far, not as good as LogicI am Jon Lord in a Deep Purple tribute. This app is so cheap, I thought I’d give it a try. Although it sounds pretty good, it is not as accurate as the Logic X/Mainstage vintage organ plugin. The tones sound thin and harmonics are missing. The sample loop on long sustains and it isn’t a smooth transition. It’s fun to dink around with, but not good enough to cover the DP sounds. You need amp modeling, amongst other things, to get that BEAST sound out of a software plugin organ. I do have a real 1967 C3 to compare sound so I am well aware of what the real sound is. It is great for a 10 dollar app. I’d pay more if they could make it sound more authentic..Version: 3.0

Sounds amazing, but no Bluetooth supportThis app sounds wonderful, but I wish I could play it through my Bluetooth speaker. It works if I plug it in, but to play wirelessly would be useful for me. I could even live with some delay as long as I could get the app and the Bluetooth speaker to communicate. I'm using iOS 9 and a sound link mini..Version: 3.0

Professional Keyboardist - wow!!! What an appI'm a full time pro keyboardist who now performs 100% with virtual Synths and samplers. As I moved from hardware to all software, I needed an outstanding organ app to replace my hardware organ patches. WOW! Galileo Organ is amazing. I just did a show where I replaced all my hardware organ sounds with Galileo and it was flawless! And the sound! Like the other two Yonac apps I use - Magellan and KASPAR, Galileo does not disappoint. And like the other Yonac apps, Galileo is very MIDI PC friendly...which is critical for me..Version: 3.0

One of the most fun music apps ever!Am I the onl one who actually likes this better than Magellan? Gallileo Organ is not just the best organ app, but it is a great introduction to additive synthesis! I do not just see this an an organ, but also a synthesizer that can produce weird, harmonic sounds. There are many ways to change the character of the sound and modulate it. Best of all, it's bi-timbral!.Version: 3.0

Really great!I was looking for a piece of hardware that would emulate a Hammond B3 when attached to my Kurzweil. Then it occurred to me that someone has figured this out already in an app. Well thank goodness for Yonac. Since I found it, Galileo has consistently outstripped my expectations. If you don’t want to carry a Leslie cabinet and a full size B3, this is your answer..Version: 3.0

Can’t get enough :)I’ve been having so much fun with the app. Only wish that it was possible to refresh midi devices for easier connection of bluetooth keyboards (without restarting the app), and that it was an universal app for my iPhone. Anyway, it’s already a 5 star app, go get it now! :).Version: 3.0

Something is terribly wrong!Hello and to whom it may concern, I have the 64g iPad Air 2, and I have the Galileo 1 app installed along with Beatmaker 2 and others. The problem I'm having is that when I play the Beatmaker 2 app the Drawbars in Galileo app move with the rhythm and beat of Beatmaker 2 app thus changing the sound of the organ with every rhythm or beat. Can you fix this issue in the Galileo 1 app please. Thank you for your time and help with this matter..Version: 3.0

5 stars..Not a perfect app but what it can do, it deserves 5 stars... One improvement though could be if you could have just a little more control over the speed of the "drum" part of the rotary speaker. I'd like to adjust the speed of it separate from the speed of the horn..Version: 3.0

Amazing OrganI really love this organ app, it's a dream come true to be able to own such a big sound... however I really hope that the chorus and Rotary will be improve some day. The Chorus on the Garage Band organ app has a really great quality about it, hopefully Galileo will up date some of these effects..Version: 3.0

Sounds very coolSounds excellent. Very cool and easy to use app, with tons of accessories such as flanger. chorus, delay and so on in Pro version, which is well worth the few extra dollars it costs. Really nice app and looks very stylish on screen, besides performing extremely well..Version: 3.0

PHENOMINAL sound - one major problem needing updateThe new iOS update must gave caused it to go wacky. If you fresh install and use the app as touch screen it works endlessly every time you open. If you connect midi and play it, it works great. The problem then is every time you open it after that it is completely frozen, only fix is to uninstall and reinstall. Never to use midi.. It worked fine before the iOS update. IpadPro 12.9 inch. 128gb..Version: 3.0

YIKES!!!!I'm the keyboard is in a Deep Purple tribute, and this bad boy is my A #1 go-to B3 wonderland for all things Jon Lord. The full gamut of sounds, from jazz, gospel and rock are outstanding. And the variables are limitless. The Leslie simulation alone is the best representation out there (if you ask me). Trust me, there is no better Hammond IOS app..Version: 3.0

Fantastic InstrumentGalileo has always proved to be a great sounding, reliable instrument that's very powerful under the hood. I also appreciate that they continue to refine and update the app which only adds to its value!.Version: 3.0

The best software organ emulation today! In case you didn't know it. I you need an organ this is a true replacement. It is pro level sound and features..Version: 3.0

Great! But...Can I map the lowest note played to trigger the bass pedal while the rest of the chord plays in the other registers?.Version: 3.0

It's a lot lighter...Than a B3! Great B3 sounds, you can dial in any sound on it from Jazz, to Steppenwolf, to R&B. The transistor organ models (continental and farsifa) are spot on for psychedelic rock as well. Also, the effects sound too real!.Version: 3.0

It's Quite GoodIf you like to play organ music, get this now. Don't waste time wondering if it will produce "that organ sound" that is your favorite – it WILL, and so much more..Version: 3.0

Best rock organ app I've ever usedThis even sounds better then the professional VSTs I've used for PC. You guys should really make a PC version, I'd definitely buy!.Version: 3.0

Nice in all regards, and more!Top notch realistic ergonomic aesthetic layout, features, and sound, plus a great source for a rare set of guitar effects like leslie and tube preamp!.Version: 3.0

Love ItGreat for live play...I use this at my church. I have an iPad 2. It doesn't eat up my CPU that causes it to freeze up. Great work with this app.....Version: 3.0

My go to app for organI’ve bought this app to play on iPad for fun but I use it with my midi controller for portable key rig My studio 49 is 20 years old but still works with mio USB to midi and camera kit. For my sound output I Use iRig 2 and the amp out on it 1/4” mono out to amp Bought app when it came out. Thanks rob Nashville tn..Version: 3.0

The good and the not so goodThis app, although not billed as a Hammond clone, sure looks like one graphically. And EVERY control (toggle, rotary knob, drawbar, etc) can be midi assigned- very cool! I have been a keyboard player for a long time, have owned several Hammonds as well as a Leslie 145. I was definitely not expecting this to match that quality. Still,IMO, the resulting tones are a little dissapointing. The overall tone to me is rather harsh sounding, especially when you play notes in the higher octaves. I prefer the organs in Korg Module. Although the Korg patches allow very limited modifications, to me their tone is richer and more pleasing. Update- I've spent some additional time tweaking settings and I've decided the app rates 4 rather that 3 stars. The issue with harshness of sound is still there, particularly using the full organ (all drawbars pulled out) settings. I've modified some presets. Basically, a little drawbar goes a long way. It just takes some time to work the settings until you find what sounds right to you. I also found that using the "clean" rather than "used" or "loved" organ type reduces harshness and increases "sweetness" of the sound. Of course all this is subjective, so other users may love the preset sounds as they are. Bottom line, yes I would recommend this app. There's no better IOS Hammond app..Version: 2.1

A must-have app!All of yonac's apps are first rate. A serious developer..Version: 3.0

Excellent soundingThis is the best organ app for iOS. Very fun to use too, and very musical..Version: 3.0

When I need to get to some serious organ....😉🎶😀😀😀😎.Version: 3.0

Great appsI use your keyboard apps with MIDI Guitar 2 on iPad Pro 12. Galileo is great. Thanks,Michael.Version: 3.0

I wish I had another choice.But it’s ok..Version: 3.0

Outstanding.Currently the best faux B3 for iOS. Awesome..Version: 3.0

SUPERBA great asset to have in a Pentecostal Church!!!!!.Version: 3.0

Probably the best B3 for IOsI really like the tones and features of this app. Leslie kicks in with a flick of the mod wheel of your basic MIDI keyboard controller. If you don't have a keyboard, the screen keyboard is not bad, especially if you set it to play a specific scale, such as Blues or Harmonic Minor. Just select a key and every note fits. You still need to have the creativity to make your own licks sound cool. Some complain about the Leslie making too much warble or something, but it is passable to my ears. Percussion and key click is good, plus you get the option of choosing aged tonewheel patches with all kinds of simulated leakage. Not my cup of tea, but others may like it.I have a couple of other organ apps that are decent, but I will never use them again after getting this one. I give it 4 stars because 5 stars would mean it is identical to a real Hammond. I believe it does Vox, Farfisa and other transistor organs too, but I hate those tones in general and will probably never explore them..Version: 2.0

Organ TrailI've ended up using this regularly, playing music with people. A lot of apps are too fiddly to be able to get it going and producing fitting musical sounds in a timely fashion... It's fully featured as it could possibly be, but set up in a way where you can be playing an organ instantly when you start it up. The presets are great, and sorted into useful categories, rather than a list of hundreds of vaguely named sounds to wade through and forget. Great midi implementation, and that you can hide the onscreen keyboards, to use it with a midi keyboard, and have all of the organ controls on one screen. Also having separate channels for the top and bottom organ makes it a great sound module. Been reliably stable, no crashes on iPad Air iOS 8.3. Works well with other programs as well, audiobus, and the inner app audio too. Even has WIST, which is nice for syncing with the Korg apps. The actual audio quality is noticeably good, and musical, and capable of character not found in non-organ keyboards or software instruments..Version: 2.1

Finally a good organ on the ipad!A good organ has been the last remaining piece I needed to be able to really start using the ipad seriously live, but before this app nothing was even close to cutting it. Like, painfully so. I currently use either vb3 in software or a nord electro, so my bar is very high, and this app is the first organ app I've heard that I would actually use instead of those live. Now, that's not to say it sounds as good as vb3 or the nord, but it's definitely close enough to be very useful. Honestly, the rotary speaker emulation is the weakest link to me. With just a simple organ sound pulled up and no effects except the preamp going, it definitely sounds a little fake. However, it's WAY better than everything else out there and it's more than usable. What's more, the app is just fun, I found myself getting lost in just playing with it and forgetting any quibbles i had. I'm so grateful this app exists and just like Magellan I know it will only improve with time!.Version: 1.0.1

IOS 9 issuesThis is my favorite Organ app hands down. Very versatile in the sound department and it supports both Inter-App audio and Audiobus. I did have an issue where my presets got corrupted after an IOS upgrade, and the only way to get things working was to trash my backed up presets and start over. That being said, Galileo is very easy to tweak and the excellent factory presets got me back up and running quickly. It would be really great if this was a universal app so I could use my iPhone as a backup instrument, but that doesn't take away from the fact that this is one of the must have instrument apps for the iPad..Version: 2.2

All 5 stars earnedTonewheel organ synths must be tough, as I've tried a whole bunch of them (ios and otherwise) and most of them fall short of delivering an inspiring sound. I've never owned a Hammond, it's just not practical for me. This has got to be the next closest thing. The sounds are really inspirational and seem to be very close to the real thing. The GUI is very well designed and easy to work with, all of the connectivity options are there. It's easy to dial in the organ you're looking for, and its difficult to dial in a bad sound. Though, with the effects and other options, it's also possible to do some things you just couldn't do with the analog counterparts. In particular, I think that the rotary and cabinet sims sound great! Very well done. A must have for anyone who wants tone wheel or transistor organ sounds in their ios productions..Version: 1.0.1

Looks "niche", but SO much depth hereThis app was on my wish list for a long time, but I held off until it went on sale. To be honest, I don't think I fully appreciated the range of sounds that an organ app from a great developer like Yonac could make. I was stunned there were as many presets as there were "out of the box", and for someone who understands organs better than I do, you could really go deep into the customization. The interface looks and plays great, from the double decker keyboard (plus bass pedals) and the control panels. Is it for everyone? Maybe not. But if you have any desire to use organ sounds, forget SoundFonts and the imitator apps - this is the one you want..Version: 1.1

Finally, an Audiobus-Capable OrganI love using organs in my songs, as the organ was my first real gig experience. Before Galileo, I have not been using organs in my iPad setup, since the options available were not compatible with the current way of doing recordings. We now have an option! It is very nice to have an emulated organ on iOS, the other option is to get SampleTank, which is expensive compared to Galileo. The other options are church organ apps made by Markus Sigg, which are fantastic, but are not versatile. This app reminds me a lot of Native Instruments B4 plug-in having a vast selection of emulated organ sounds, combined with robust fx section and even arpeggiation. Again, this is an emulation, no sampling, so it will not sound like a real organ from Hammond, Vox or whatever, but they are very close and will really refresh your options while making some music in iOS.. Bottom line this is the successor of Organ+ as Magellan was the successor for MiniSynthPRO..Version: 2.1

This is like having a B3 in your backpack...Yonac makes some of the best iOS music production apps available but in my view the company doesn't get the attention it deserves. Their ToneStack guitar amp emulation app blows away the leading competitor who coasts by on having the big name brands all over the app but the sounds are subpar. Magellan is one of the best sounding synths on iOS or anywhere else with great controls and features. But with this organ suite they have gone above and beyond...the Hammond B3's soul is alive in this great tool for any music maker using iOS. Really incredible..Version: 2.2

Another MUST HAVE Yonac app!I'm starting to think I should put Yonac Inc on auto pay. ;) Here is another outstanding app, this time in the organ category. When I first downloaded it I thought "what can I do with this app?" Now I'm thinking "what can't I do with it?!" There are numerous presets in many genres that will get you going right away, and they sound great. But this app also shines in the depth of editing possibilities. It is laid out well and very intuitive. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. If you love organ, this is your app..Version: 2.1

This is beyond amazingFirst five minutes were disappointment. I tried to get that dry "Green Onions" sound, and I was upset when drawbar settings didn't sound as they should. But then, I discovered the true face of this app. I started some tweaking, and voila! The sound that I wanted was there! It emulates any organ sound that I want perfectly! The actual power of this app is just amazing. If you're organ player, get it! You won't get disappointed! Thank you, Yonac! This is a killer app, you deserve my money without doubt..Version: 1.1

Yet again, Yonac earns my moneyFirst of all, Yonac's Magellan has a permanent place on my rig right next to Audiobus, GarageBand, and Ampkit +, so at this point Yonac could put out an app that simulated a cowbell and I would probably trust them with my money. The fact that this Galileo feels like a sibling to Magellan, only specialized to that soulful organ tone, makes this all the sweeter. That it comes roaring out of the gate with Audiobus compatibility pretty much clinches the deal. I can't wait to have a dueling organ / guitar solo on my next track. Thanks guys! Keep up the awesome work!.Version: 1.0.1

More groovy than ShaftThis is a great instrument - notice no longer saying APP! It sounds fab! Great inboard effects like wah and of course Leslie! I sat for 3 hours and jammed out on it and was just loving it the whole time! I admit my addiction to IOS music apps and this is right up high on the list of 'ear candy'! Do not pass go - buy now while it's 5 bucks. You know you will still buy Nave also so don't fool yourself! Thanks for some sweet programming!.Version: 1.0.1

Suddenly I'm Keith Emerson!!I absolutely love this app and the sounds are completely belivable! I need some help saving to a new bank though and trying to do it through the website proved futile and there's no manual yet (I realize it's just been released). This app gives me the dream of the B plus all of the other great organs plus Leslies! Extremely well done and the price is as killer as the organs! Help with saving?.Version: 1.0.1

None betterThis is by far the best organ app anywhere!!! I use several major vst apps on my pc and plug in my iPad with this app when I need a real organ sound and feel. The presets are many and all are great and usefull. An organ players paradise . Only wish would be for a vst plugin for major daws..Version: 1.1

No continued support for owners?I am sure the developers would like this to be considered a completely new product, but I am feeling a touch disappointed that the decided to release it this way as opposed to updating organ+. Oh we'll, I'm sure it's great and I will get over it. I just think they should consider their long time users more... Oh wait, software companies don't DO that. Updated review on how amazing it is to come....Version: 1.0.1

Great soundsThe organ sounds are amazing. This app has saved me thousands. Instead of buying a full blown hardwired organ keyboard, I can get better sounds via this app and a basic piano based keyboard. Can you add other sounds such as bells and strings?.Version: 2.0

WowIt’s almost better than garage band.Version: 3.0

Amazing Simulation of the Famous Generator OrgansI have always preferred to use an iPad as a sound module, thanks to its portability and user interface. There is no question in my mind that this is the best of them. Every conceivable option is readily at hand and the sound is spot-on. I have been using it to wake my friends up to the incredible of generator and transistor organ..Version: 3.0

ExcellentBest organ app on iOS I've tried. I have a ton of quality music apps and Galileo is right up there Nice job..Version: 3.0

Wow!!!Fantastic application. Sound quality is very good. Works fine with Audiobus. Presets are very useful. I also did some tests with a MIDI keyboard using the camera kit and it works fine. Zero latency. I love the ability to see scales and be able to practice them using the onscreen keyboard. Congratulation!!!.Version: 1.1

InsaneAny musician with an ounce of soul will love this thing. It's awesome!.Version: 1.1
