WHAT DO PEOPLE SAY ABOUT US?

“You actually learn fun math facts and fill gaps when you compulsively reach for your phone. Useful app!” — KellyR.

“Hands-on app to improve your financial literacy, the lessons are practical and fun!” — AlvesT.

“This app has taught me how to understand abstract art. It’s truly eye-opening and easy to digest.” — Josel.P

“Nibble is top-notch to learn on the go! I like the probability lesson, it’s really practical and easy to follow.” — Isikatony

"The lessons are quick, fun (the Egyptian section with the tweets between the gods made me and my 12-year-old chuckle), clever - and genuinely interesting. My kid and I will go through lessons together - it’s interesting enough to keep his attention, and I’m learning new things too. Not too advanced for him, or remedial for me. I’ve enjoyed all the lessons - logic (the infinite hotel theory was great), art, math, and history. It is indeed much more enjoyable than doom scrolling. I encourage you to take a chance, I’m hooked. Please keep the new lessons coming!" — BustedKate

HOW DOES IT WORK?

After you decide to learn with Nibble and download the app, you can choose a subscription plan most suitable for your goals.

The Nibble subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (each month, 3 months, year, or otherwise, depending on the selected option) until you cancel. Canceling your subscription means the automatic renewal will be disabled. However, you will still have access to all your subscription features for the remaining time of your then-current period.

If you start a free trial, you will be automatically charged a price indicated on the payment screen for a chosen subscription period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the free trial.

Note that deleting the app does not cancel your subscriptions.

Nibble: Your Bite of Knowledge Positive Reviews

One annoying factorDownloaded and subscribed to try to have a bit more of a productive time when idly scrolling in my phone/killing time. One thing that bothered me is that the lessons are kinda broken down into different pages, each page with a few sections that advance via “continue” buttons or occasionally a quiz question. This makes sense if you’re sitting down and plowing straight through one. Where my gripe comes up is that if you put your phone down for a second and let the app go idle, it will give you a kinda “Welcome back” screen for the lesson you’re on. However when you click “continue”, it will automatically advance you to the next page in the lesson, even if you haven’t scrolled down and read all the sections of the previous page. You can go back to scroll through them but if you were in the middle section of a page or at the last know you have to click through the continue/questions to get back to where you left off each and every time. I set my phone down towards the end of the last section of the last page, and when j clicked continue on the idle screen it took me to the “lesson over” page. Otherwise app seems fine so far but in the setting of a football game where there’s commercial breaks and other distractions frequently, it becomes a more annoying feature that it kinda automatically advances you through the lesson..Version: 3.11.0

A fun way to learn the basics!I’ve really been enjoying this app actually, even though I was skeptical downloading something advertised on Instagram. The learning style is pretty creative, using pictures, jokes and interaction to keep you engaged. I think it does a good job of teaching—relating subjects to modern times, and being pretty cheeky too. The lessons are just short enough, anything longer and I would start to lose interest. Ways to improve: I feel like the interactive/quiz parts are pretty weak. Most of the time it’s just multiple choice, or sliding a scale to reveal something in a painting. It would be cool if it offered actual quizzes after the lesson, along with the “important takeaways.” I was hoping to get a good art quiz, since I find it really hard to differentiate the artists. I thought it was strange in one of my art lessons when they went off on a tangent about eco-warriors or the climate people who throw stuff on art. Like, we all get annoyed with those people, but is this really what I’m here to learn about? Felt like they were airing out their grievances in the lesson. My only other critique is that sometimes the language isn’t quite right. It just doesn’t flow or make sense. For a minute it had me questioning if the app was made by AI or something. Still, if you are willing to pay (not much) for the app, I’d say it’s very much worth it! Thanks to the developers.Version: 4.2.0

Surprisingly good, but room for ux improvementI love the content, lesson structure, and tests of knowledge along the way. It really feels like i have an experience of the app that is curated based on the answers i shared during the onboarding quiz. The app is definitely pricey ($90/year) and i will only know if it’s worth it once I have used it for an entire year and not run out of content . I hope they are always updating the content 🤞 I agree with another review that it’s super annoying to have to start at the beginning of a lesson if i don’t complete it in one sitting. it should be an option to start where you left off or start from the beginning (since there are benefits to doing that.) It’s also annoying that the lessons I have already completed show up as top suggestions for lessons to complete. I wish it were easier to filter what I have completed, what I’ve started, content I have never seen before, and new lessons..Version: 3.13.1

Not enough contentGreat content presentation for art but it is not enough to call it a course. I completed the art section in an hour. Would have gladly bought the subscription if the developers had a content plan in place but there is no promise for the lessons to be added. The existing lessons cover as little as 4 art styles and a few painters. The composition and perspective pieces were really good but there is much more in this domain which was not covered. I disagree with the reviewers who complain about the information being too brief and basic - for me it was more important to get the canvas than being buried under a plethora of details. There are a lot of free apps where you can read about a select topic in depth. Conclusion: the developers should have a content plan in each field (art history, math, philosophy etc) so that people know why they pay 90$ for the year subscription if the whole app content at the moment can be studied in a couple of days..Version: 4.0.0

Early Days, but I’m impressed! So far I am enjoying the bite-sized bits-of-knowledge approach the app uses. The learning concepts are presented with enough depth to make them readily accessible, even to someone with no prior experience with the particular subject matter, yet they are concise enough that, if you wish, you may easily follow up your learning on your own to obtain a more in-depth understanding. The app is fun to use and user friendly, a bit like having an interactive version of a highly distilled “for Dummies” book at your fingertips. Total Disclosure: I’m a huge fan of “for Dummies” books, which I often use when getting started on an area of inquiry with which I am unfamiliar. The app however is more focused and targeted than a book, which makes my progress much faster and enjoyable..Version: 4.0.0

SkepticalFirst off, I downloaded this initially because the ad said, “Learn Biology.” Biology is not one of the offered courses. Secondly, during the setup process, after choosing a plan, it goes from (hit this button to) “Continue” (or “Next” or similar) to the button suddenly adding a paid feature. If you’re not super careful, you’re liable to end up getting charged another $20-$40 for “add-ons” you don’t want, with NO confirmation or, “Add this feature?,” check before it charges you, and it’s “not their policy” to refund “purchases made on our website.” It was via the app, not the website, but who’s counting? I paid for three months and that’s fine (but had to contact paypal to get the other *way too easy to hit by mistake* charge back for a feature I didn’t want). I’m going to use it. The first section I did was interesting. But it is very unlikely that I’ll renew. Things with this app are just a little too shady and suspicious; Bait and switch. Changing buttons so you buy things you don’t want by mistake. Refusing refunds for said mistakes unless you get a “higher authority” involved. Not a great start. Nor a good look. The content is interesting. But… idk. Use your judgment. Watch what buttons you’re hitting during setup. Yeah. Just be cautious. This has potential, but something just seems… off, at this point..Version: 4.0.0

Why should you pay to learn? [READ THIS BEFORE DOWNLOADING]I put this at 5 stars so it won’t be buried by other ratings. i bought this app to burn time and help me learn more about my passion: art. in the beginning of getting started it was great , it had a nice amount of interactive questions for your learning path. then afterward it gave you the “option” to pay for a monthly/ yearly trial; and you can’t even continue on a basic course of the app, you HAVE to pay to use. so i’d recommend to read this before you download, if you want a app to help you reduce stress or for it to be a nice, free time consumer while also expanding your knowledge, i wouldn’t recommend this app..Version: 3.0.0

I love Nibble… butI love this app! I am a huge art history nerd and it’s really helping jog my memory on a lot of details I’d forgotten. This being said I really wish the lessons were a bit more comprehensive. I know it’s supposed to be a nibble of information, but I would love to be able to click on the name of an artist and be brought to a page that shows their art and give a brief biography. Seeing the names of several artists under a movement won’t help me commit them to memory, but being able to click on them to read more would. Also, it would be awesome if I could select key words to get a more specific definition. So it would be a nibble, with the option to delve a little deeper..Version: 3.11.0

Art topicI’m enjoying learning more about art in this app. My only complaints would be that if I leave the app in the middle of a lesson, when I come back I have to start all over again. It records my progress but it makes you start from the beginning once I come back to the lesson. Also I would love to be able to zoom in on the paintings to see the detail a little better. They do show “detail bubbles” on some of the art they teach about but it’s still not big enough to appreciate the details. For those reasons I deducted one star..Version: 3.7.3

So far so good! A must for those with ADHD and DyslexiaIt’s an essential part of my day. If you’ve been out of school for a few years and struggle with remembering old concepts and formulas from the past? This is the tool you need to freshen up and relearn everything that you may have forgotten from elementary school up to college. The lessons are really fun, interactive, straight to the point and well put together. I use it every morning to wake up and sharpen my mind before starting the day. I look forward to seeing the evolution.Version: 3.13.1

The name says it all!The concepts of each subjects are broken down into bight size nuggets of easy to understand bits of information. I think if you have a child or student who is having difficulty in a particular area or you just want to brush up on your skills from when you were in school this is an easy and fun approach to take. It allows you or your student to learn at their own pace without undue pressure from others. The cost is far less than a tutor and generally a lot more fun..Version: 4.6.0

Enjoying & feedbackI’m enjoying the bite sized learnings on this app! One feedback point for the app engineers - for lessons that I have already taken, those should no longer appear on the For You tab or be move to a bottom “Lessons Completed” section. They’re still showing up as recommended for me, but it doesn’t make sense since I’ve already taken them and it’s causing disorganization..Version: 4.3.0

Approachable learning on the goI'm never one to pay for anything on my phone but I took a chance with Nibble seeing as I had nothing to lose apart from a few dollars. The ease of use and its tailoring to my learning habits had me in love within the first week of having it. Definitely worth a try for anyone who's looking to expand their common knowledge on any particular thing, even & especially those with a short attention span such as myself..Version: 3.9.1

Fun but too priceyI understand that apps like these take a lot of work and time, but after exploring around with the free trial of premium: it’s fun and I like that the info is interactive and broken down into easy, short chunks. But. I don’t feel like there’s enough content to warrant how much it costs. I’ve only had the app for a day and there’s only so much to read/interact with per subject. Might play around for another day or two while my trial is still active but for the price tag I feel like their library needs to be larger..Version: 4.4.0

So far, so goodI’ve only been using the app about a day to learn more about art, but so far I find the information useful and interesting. The lessons are well-presented and many are interactive, which is clever. If my rating changes as I use the app more, I’ll be sure to update my review. But this far, I’m enjoying the app more than I expected I would..Version: 3.5.0

It’s what I didn’t know I neededI wasn’t aware that apps like this existed. It has been such a refreshing replacement for doomscrolling on social media. I feel better off and walk with a lighter step after choosing to learn from Nibble. I’m happy to have found it, and quite frankly It’s a part of taking back my humanity from the algorithm of greed that is much too ingrained in typical social media..Version: 3.11.0

Nibble are easier than big portions!I just started my nibble app with 10 minutes of Art & I find it so much better than using that time scroll on social media. The information is just enough to spur curiosity while informative. From here I will open a book based on the time period the Nibble content from 10m I experienced..Version: 3.11.0

Great appI saw an ad for this on Instagram and have only tried one lesson so far. I paid for one full month before even trying it and I’m so excited for future lessons. I only committed to about 15 minutes a day, but I will probably end up doing more than that based on the lesson I just did. So cute and fun. Thank you for making this app!.Version: 3.10.0

Despite all the negative reviews I liked it"I've been using the app for a week now, and I really like the content🤍 It's easy to get information, especially when time is limited, and a great alternative, at least for me, to Instagram and doomscrolling when you just need to pass the time. Highly recommend!.Version: 4.3.0

Pinch to SEEI cannot pinch in to see any of the artwork which makes absolutely no sense! If you can’t see, how can you judge what you’re looking at. At a museum I can walk up to a masterpiece and see detail here. I have to screenshot it and then zoom in with two fingers, and this is something that I should be able to do on the app. I want to see!.Version: 3.1.1

1 topic a day for my 4th GraderMy daughter is glued most days after doing her homework to either her iPad or phone. I’ve reminded her hundreds of times to balance everything out. All I’m asking from her is to spend 15-30 of her free time reading but it doesn’t really work all the time. Tryed this app out and so far she got interested..Version: 4.4.0

Bite SizeSo far I’ve only delved into the history lessons. I can say they’re concise and very helpful for people who want to learn new things and maybe don’t have a lot of time to devote to learning. Whether it be studying a completely different subject in school or during a short break at work. Worth the price in my opinion..Version: 3.11.0

AmazingThis app gave me my interests back and helped me expand on them in an effective manner. I used to love history, philosophy, and a myriad of other topics. However, ever since I started emergency medicine residency I’ve found it hard to keep up with those other interests. This app helps me stay sharp and engage in the infinite amount of other topics that exist. Bravo!.Version: 3.13.1

Improvements neededIm still using it, because it is better and more entertaining than scrolling but SO many improvements need to be made. Not enough info in each presentation, completed presentations are not marked or hidden. Lessons don’t go in order, the layout is too childish, and I can’t zoom into the photos. Pretty important when learning about art! Hope they improve on these. Otherwise great concept..Version: 3.13.1
