Decent app, Superb contentThe app itself functions relatively well. The interface is good looking and easy to use and navigate. I have a few hiccups every now and then. Examples: Video not playing, Video getting stuck on screen, selecting a video but a different one plays. These aren’t app breaking and usually, closing the app and re-opening will resolve the issue. The app is going to continue to improve over time. The reason I’m writing this review, is to help bring awareness to Straight Arrow News. I want this app to really rise in the algorithm to get in front of more people. The content is amazingly unbiased. It’s to the point and no fluff. Easy to digest. NEWS THE U.S. NEEDSIn times of uncertainty from the loads of misinformation sold on news platforms as of lately, this is the most refreshing news app I have ever found. Great Well Balanced Overview of What’s HappeningThis is a fantastic news source. I was using a range of different news sites trying to get a good understanding of what’s going on. Good app. Plenty of potential, User experience needs work.A youtubers ad read convinced me to get this for the massive underreporting that media does. Yes although there some fascinating stories theres still massive stories not showing up like Project 2025, Trumps involvement with Epstein, or even Robert F Kennedy Jr. just to name some highlights in under reported news. Simply greatI never leave reviews for apps but SAN is worth it. Straight Arrow News has been incredibly helpful in shifting through all the nonsense that both sides push or refuse to report on. If you consume a lot of media to understand issues from both sides, this app will dramatically cut down the time needed to do so. Seems kinda coolJust started using the app. And it seems kinda good. But the outrageous mistake is leaving the default button style. Remove the pressed effect so when I scroll is doesn’t keep fading. SAN IS SUPPRESSING STORIES!!!!I got a notification from SAN early in the morning about an article about Trump suing CBS over the Harris 60 minute interview. I was still sleepy at the time so I didn’t acknowledge it. A few hours later I wake up, click on the notification banner in my phone and to my suprise, it doesn’t exist! I go to google to see what’s going on and on of course I see all the “right-wing” media outlets reported on it. What happened to “UNBIASED” new huh? SAN clearly does not live up to it name. Don’t trust SAN! As a matter of fact, don’t trust anyone! Believe only half of what you see and nothing of what you hear! It’s biasedThis is not what it’s advertised. Whenever I try to search for articles of both the left and right side, I only get what the left side wrote about why the right is so bad. Any time I find an article that is negative about the left side, it won’t let me open it. Opinion pieces are supposed to be more “biased”, but everything else that is not labeled as opinion is still biased. I have a feeling this is where the left side gets most of their influence from since it’s only positive for the left and all negative for the right side. Not So StraightJust watched an article on Straight Arrow News by a ‘Straight Arrow’ news reporter. The article and video was about the Immigration Reaching higher numbers and showed the Trump era data (through Covid) and then Biden data (after Covid). It did not reference historical trends and ‘after reviewing’ I find it is from a Right Wing think tank against immigration.
