HOW IT WORKS

As the name "Step Out!" implied, the only way you can turn off this alarm clock is STEPPING out of your bed (you still can snooze - in a limited duration). It uses advanced image recognition and step tracking technologies to check whether you’re far away from your bed.

After ringing, the app asks you to capture another photo of a specified place, it should be where you usually be every time you wake up, such as the bathroom, the kitchen, ... So you just take a photo and do your routine work like washing your face or preparing breakfast.

Another alternative is using the step counter, which simplifies this process into just nothing. You wake up and go to wherever you want with the device. After reaching enough number of steps, the alarm will automatically turn off. It’s simply a smarter alarm with no additional action., You’ll love using it from the very first time.

Step Out! Smart Alarm Clock Positive Reviews

So far so good! UPDATEDUPDATE 2: I've also noticed you can turn the power button off too to bypass the alarm. If this issue and the vibrate one were fixed, I think this alarm would be flawless. Also needs to be updated for new iOS. UPDATE: So, I've discovered a very big flaw in this alarm. If the alarm is going off, all you need to do is flick the switch on your phone to vibrate, and then it will just send you little notifications which vibrate once each time. Very easy to ignore and sleep through. So, instead of it waking me up, I just turn it to vibrate and then keep sleeping, because I don't even notice the notifications. This is something that needs to be changed as it is a loophole too easy to take advantage of. Also, I agree with others that the sensors need to be updated. As long as I've been using this app (which is admittedly not too long), it has really helped me to wake up! It really is the stepping that gets me up and moving to the point where I feel like, "Why bother going back to bed?" I've been so productive since I've been getting up bright and early. Great app and I look forward to more early morning thanks in no small part to it..Version: 1.2.2

This app is so annoying! I love it!I hate mornings. I mean I really hate mornings. It's very easy for me to shut off an alarm and turn around and go back to sleep. I'm not talking snooze, I'm talking shut it off and go back to bed. This alarm clock is amazing! It makes you take a certain amount of preprogrammed steps before it will shut up. You can't fool this thing… I've tried! I've tried shaking it, rocking it, mimicking footsteps, but none of that works. Unlike most exercise apps that you can fool by shaking your device, this will not be fooled! I have this set to make me walk 20 steps before it will shut off. For me, this is the perfect distance from my bedroom to my coffeemaker, and my coffeemaker to my washroom. This app is great and it has so many features! Full disclosure, I never would've bought this app. It was featured on one of those free up a day websites and I tried it out. I'm very fortunate for that, so I tell a lot of people about this app because I figured it's the least I can do seeing as how it's wonderful! Also, they ask you to write a review to use certain backgrounds for free, I don't have a problem with that so here I am. If you are not a morning person, if you can't get out of bed in the morning, check this app out..Version: 1.2.2

Love it already! **Updated****Update- Dropped from 5 to 3 stars. I did love this app, but now it lets me snooze over and over no matter what the settings are. I wake up with the phone on the pillow next to me and I've been snoozing it (for 1 hr 45 mins this morning) :( Something has changed** This is only my first day to use it, but I love it already. I normally hit the snooze button for up to 2 hours with having to get up to my dresser and just can't get up. I'm awake first thing today. I used the option to take a photo of my coffee maker out in the kitchen. Because the big light was on for the original pic, my little light was not enough for a matching picture, so by the time I walked out there and had to retake the pic with the big light on, I was awake. And I set the coffee maker to auto, so I filled my cup with the fresh brewed coffee while I was there. This is a great idea for an app. The only draw back is no instructions with it, but I googled instructions for the app and found a pretty good overall review that told how to use it. Make sure you go in to the main app options as well as the ones to set alarms. And you can disable preset alarms if you are off schedule. Just swipe down on the set time and it will change to disabled or back to enabled. And you can set multiple ones, more than just the three at the bottom. Happy waking!.Version: 1.2.2

Got my ADHD snooze-addict rear up!Snooze bar addiction has been killing my mornings. It's been a bad habit for years and it causes my mornings to be foggy, moody and I end up rushing my kids -making me feel awful. Yesterday, I was in search of an alarm clock app that wouldn't turn off on its own (or for at least a few minutes) unlike the second alarm that I keep in the bathroom that turns off after thirty seconds- so it's too easy to ignore as I am warm and cozy in my dark bedroom. This app went off at 5:30am and I went to hit snooze out of habit- nope! I set it to ten steps which it about the distance to my coffee pot. I reached the kitchen, the alarm stopped then I laughed a little bit at the simplicity it took to get me out of bed and poured a cup of coffee. Oh, another thing that helped- I put a lamp on a timer that turned on 15 minutes before the alarm so when the alarm went off, I wasn't in a dark room when I woke since sunrise is not for another hour. I love this app and highly recommend it. I got up two hours before it's time to leave today. I'm having coffee, watching the news, then I will wake up my kids with a smile as I feel alert and rested and not groggy and half dead after hitting snooze for an hour :).Version: 1.2.2

So far, so goodLike probably everyone else trying this alarm, I am a snooze addict and make every excuse to not get up in the morning. I used to have two alarms going off every couple of minutes and I would still manage to snooze for an hour or more. I've been using this app for a couple of weeks & so far it is getting me up and I cannot find a way to cheat it! I have only two complaints. One is that setting the alarm itself is a little confusing. Make sure to check whether you allow a snooze option and make sure you have made your alarm active. My second complaint is the bigger one - this alarm does not work if your phone is on vibrate until you have unlocked your phone. I actually almost missed a flight last week because I didn't realize I had left my phone on vibrate. Yikes!! This is something I make sure to check now. (The problem is not having your phone locked, as some people have commented.) Also, I read some comments that the step counter does not work. It has worked perfectly fine for me - make sure you hit the button to tell it to start counting your steps first!.Version: 1.2.2

Great alarm app, but missing a key featureI installed this app on my phone to help curb my snooze addiction and so far it works great! Both the "walk X number of steps" and the camera versions of the alarm work perfectly well to force me out of bed to stop this loud and annoying alarm, which in turn makes it harder to postpone getting up when I ought to. My only complaint is that there's no real way to disable the alarm without performing whatever task you set it up with. On most mornings that's a good thing as it keeps you from cheating, but it becomes a nuisance on days where you've deviated from your schedule (ie you got up extra early and left the house before the alarm went off or are sleeping somewhere other than your home and you're using the camera based alarm) and forgot to cancel the alarm before hand. If the alarm goes off and you're not in a place where you can take steps or don't have access to the place/thing you need to photograph in order to disable the alarm, the only way to shut it off is to uninstall the app. That's a little crazy!.Version: 1.2.2

Annoying yet very EffectiveThis is by far the most annoying yet effective alarm clock I have ever seen/heard of!! I am NOT and morning person and can sleep through ANYTHING! I usually have to set se salt alarms and I turn them off in my sleep without ever knowing it and end up late or missing what I had planned. I just got a new job (after being able to stay home for almost 2 years) and needed something to actually wake me up & I found it! I get up when the first alarm goes off! Because I have mine set to take 20 steps before it turns off I am actually awake by the time it turns off. My only complaint is that the sensing is somewhat off and does not count the step properly sometimes and has started over on me a few times! (But I guess with the extra steps it's just waking me up even more!) :).Version: 1.2.2

A Life-Changing AppWe all know someone who can never be on time in the morning. For 30 years I was that person. I have tried loud alarms, alarms that shake the bed, multiple alarms with staggered alarm times, alarms with loud rock or metal music, and a gaggle of apps. This alarm app always wakes me up. It will not shut up until you complete 10-30 steps (20 is enough for me to wake up enough to realize I need to stay awake) or to take a near-identical photo that you preset (i.e. A picture of your coffee pot). Yes, there are loopholes if you try hard enough to get around it so you have to want to make the change. Now, I live with my fiancée and if the alarm doesn't wake me immediately then she will! All in all, this app seriously changed my life. If you really want to change from always being the person that's late to being 5 minutes early everyday (like I am now!!) then stop reading reviews and download this app. This is the only alarm app worth having..Version: 1.2.2

Love this!I am not the most efficient at getting out of bed and starting my day. I usually fight with my alarm clock for about an hour. Even placing the alarm clock across my room didn't work, I'd just hit snooze and flop right back into bed. This app forces me to get up and move around. I have my steps set to 30... about the distance from my bed to the back door to let my dog out. The first time I used it the alarm did not go off until I opened the app. Later I realized that the app must be permitted to send you notifications. That way the alarm will go off when the screen is locked. I really like how his app had changed my mornings.... now there is a way to cheat the steps but it's very difficult and if the app notices that your "steps" (i.e. Shaking your phone) are not consistent or you miss taking a step for too long, the app will reset and make you start over. I highly recommend this app for those who struggle to get out of bed..Version: 1.2.2

Redefine sensors - applicable to 3GS?I've only tried out the step counter alarm, but as of now, my impression of the app is, at best, a waste of time. no matter how many steps I take with AND without my phone (where I literally went downstairs twice and circled around my house), the alarm won't shut off. When walking downstairs without my phone doesn't shut it off, I brought it with me; I angled my phone so the back camera can see me taking those steps, I placed my phone in my pocket and walked another 50 steps---and I even tried to stop the app from running in the background, but to no avail. In the end I had to remove the app to shut the alarm off. Overall, it's definite that this app WILL wake you up (because you won't be able to turn it off or stop the app from running --- at least in my case) but perhaps it is better for the developers to redefine whether those that have only back cameras (3GS, specifically) and smaller sensors are applicable to the 'state of the art' sensors they so proudly talked about in the description..Version: 1.2.2

A very well thought out appI was pleasantly surprised when I got this app, as most of the alarm apps I have had have been deleted by the next day. This app is well thought out and actually affective at getting me up in the morning. In this app you have two choices of how to turn the alarm off; the step counter, which I found was easy to cheat ( all you have to do is start the count and shake your device), and the photo. The photo works very well for me and is very hard to cheat as the recognition software works very well, so I really do have to go and get up to turn it off. Not even exiting the app will let you cheat. The built in sounds are good and it lets you use your own music. The only downside is that the alarms can be a bit confusing to set up and save ( it was still fairly easy) and the step counter is easy to cheat. All in all the app is well worth it and I am very pleased!.Version: 1.2.2

SO FAR....SO GOOD!!!!!!I am NOT a morning person, but I have a job....so I have to get up in the morning. I am also a procrastinator, ADHD, creative genius.....soooo while defenseless with sleep deprivation, I can talk myself out of any alarm I set anywhere in my room....but this app gets me UP(which I would do to shut alarm and get back in bed), WALKING(the Must to shut alarm off), and AWAKE!!! I know there are so many more out there who hit snooze and many times as possible, shut off the alarm, or just plain sleep thru it who will also LOVE this!!! Get it. try it. It works. And for those people who are whining about not hearing it or this or that....use the feature that let's you use a song(pick the most annoying one you can), set another alarm to remind you to turn the sound back off on your way to work, but quit looking for reasons to continue to oversleep....cause this app rocks!!!.Version: 1.2.2

GOOD!! But could be better...I'll start out by saying I have a snooze addiction. Before this app, I'd have to set my alarm a good 45 min (or more) before I had to get out of bed because I would snooze my alarm 4-5-6-7-or more times!! No joke. I like my sleep and don't like to get out of bed. This app has cured that! I use the photo feature and it works great!! Every morning to shut my alarm off, I have to go out to my living room and take a picture of my bookshelf. It FORCES me to get out of bed! I still use my phone's alarm on the occasion I can afford to snooze multiple times, but my average work day, this is what wakes me. It's really good, but not perfect. I'll echo a few other reviews by saying it's easy to silence. I have to check my sound settings every night. There have been mornings where I've not woken up in time because I forgot it on silent and it was sending a notification and vibrating a short burst every 10 seconds. Not particularly helpful. Like another reviewer, I would also like the first alarm to be able to be my custom music. Please fix! Right now, it wakes you up with some built in ring tone, then you either snooze (just once), or tap "I'm awake"... THEN your custom music kicks in. It works, but not my favorite. Despite my negative comments, I would still recommend this app! It's great if you're someone like me who has trouble forcing yourself to get out of bed!.Version: 1.2.2

Worked on the first tryMy bed and I get along very well and no matter how early I tried to get to sleep, somehow I've been able to drag myself out of the comfort of my down blanket and cozy pillows to wake up any earlier than a half hour before I had to be to work. This usually means I haven't showered for work (ew, I know), I've barely done anything with my hair, and I haven't had time to eat. I've tried setting 10 alarms at 5-10 minute intervals and nothing. On a whim, I downloaded this app before bed last night and this morning, I'm up a full hour and 15 minutes before I usually get up and while I'm still yawning my brain is wide awake and so excited that I get to eat breakfast, have coffee, and/or workout at HOME (and shower!) before I have to run out the door. I only hope this app helps this well every morning!.Version: 1.2.2

Great idea but kinda buggySo I'm one of those people who turns off my own alarm when it goes off in the morning without even waking up enough to realize I did that. I'm constantly late to everything because of this which was getting me in trouble now that I've started college. This alarm has a great concept of either forcing you to take a certain amount of steps out of bed or taking a picture of something in your house to turn the alarm off. However it has some bugs. Like it won't play your personal music when it first goes off. It only plays it after you unlock your phone and open the app. Also if your phone is on silent it only vibrates to wake you up. Which wouldn't be a huge problem but even when I made sure my phone wasn't on silent, it still only vibrated. Not sure if maybe it happened because I didn't leave the app open? Still definitely some things need to be fixed..Version: 1.2.2

A god send--only thing that's fail proofAfter going through a very stressful time I found my normal insomnia issue became quite severe and as a result of that was causing me to consistently stay up WAYYY past anyone's bed time and therefore I was inadvertently turning off literally EVERY SINGLE alarm that normally would suffice to wake me up in the am. My job is not super strict on my start time however I noticed a MAJOR different in the way my days would start--waking up 40 mins before shift start time vs 1:30 (easily feasible) is the different between bat crap crazy lady who feels gross and hates her outfit and hairdo to just the opposite ( for the most part) I can have a few cups of coffee at home without resorting to wasting $$ at some nasty drive thru. if your a hard sleeper and/or suffer from occasional insomnia, with workaholic tendencies then here is your answer!!!.Version: 1.2.2

It actually works...I'm a serious snoozer...I can set 3 separate alarms, hit snooze a half dozen times on all of them, and still manage to oversleep. It's been an issue for quite some time, and it has also made morning quite unpleasant for the person sleeping with me! Then along came this app... It doesn't allow me to cheat...I can't turn the volume down (it takes over the iPhone controls), I can only snooze once, and it forces me to get up and walk....out of bed, down the hall, and to the kitchen. The only flaw I've found so far is that it doesn't count steps correctly (maybe because I'm petite...it takes me about four physical steps for the app to count one), but that's okay because by the time the alarm stops, I'm reasonably awake and standing right in front of my Keurig, which is perfect. This app is truly genius.Version: 1.2.2

Great concept, pretty good appI used this app once last week and it worked perfectly, which is why I gave it as many stars as I did. I happened to lose my phone the day after I downloaded it, so I just tried it again for the next time more than a week later. Fortunately, by a random stroke of luck, I happened to wake up 30 seconds before the alarm went off, but I was very surprised to only hear a little ding, and see that it had just sent me a little notification. Because it didn't do this last week, I know it's a problem with how I've configured the settings somehow, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to fix this, and it seems to me that a setting like that shouldn't be hidden, since it's such an important piece to making this app at all functional. When I get it figured out, this rating will probably go up because when it went off properly, this app was perfect..Version: 1.2.2

Effective but unreliableLike most people here, I needed to find an alternative to the usual alarm clock. This app actually does work and does help me to get up. HOWEVER. It does have some bugs, and they are pretty significant for an app that you need to be reliable. There are times the app turns my phone volume down low-thus pretty much disabling any alarms I have set on my phone. There have also been problems with how I leave the app overnight. Am I supposed to keep it open all night? Can I lock my phone? Will it run in the background? Will other apps interfere with this one? These are things that I've tried to figure out, and still don't actually know the answers. So, this is a good idea, and is helpful, but is not the most reliable-which is too bad since the whole reason we try this app is to find a reliable way to get up on time. Hoping that with time things will get better..Version: 1.2.2

When it works, it works...The core features of this app are great and have really helped me develop better habits of waking up. Forcing me to walk around or think through taking a picture makes it much easier to resist getting back in bed or hitting snooze. However, this app feels extremely glitchy/touchy. You have to remember to: hit all the right check marks to set the alarm, make sure the notification flag for the app is on, turn your phone on loud or it won't work, make sure this app is open and active all night, etc... And even then I still wake up an hour after the alarm is set every few days only to hear it sending quiet text notifications. There are no instructions on using the confusing format, so expect some trial and error. I have to use along with a regular alarm to be safe, in which case I have to voluntarily choose to open this app for it to go off..Version: 1.2.2

Critical flaw but goodApp only works when you have it open all night. So your screen has to be turned on all night on the app. So your phone has to be plugged in all night. This is the only way that the alarm actually starts playing at the time, instead of these very ignorable text message alerts that come up. There is a way to make your phone never auto-lock within the app, so you don't have to go to your actual iPhone settings to do this. A useful correction would be to have the alarm work even when the app was closed or running in the background when your screen is on sleep. Other than that, this is probably the most helpful app on the market for waking up. Works every time if you use it correctly..Version: 1.2.2

It would work better if certain things were fixed. This app has the potential to work. I was happy with it on the first day, because the alarm woke me up perfectly. But the next day, it didn't start ringing until I went to the app to inspect why (after the point it was supposed to go off.) On the third and fourth days, I discovered in my half-asleep state that I could just close the app and go back to sleep. Another thing is, I went to the app to check if I still had another alarm set, then the alarm from the previous morning went off. To stop it, I moved my phone as if I was walking around (though I wasn't) and that was enough to trick the app. This is the first app I've ever paid for, and I'm not so impressed with it. Considering it has only worked once all week, I give it 3 stars. They should definitely find a way to fix the kinks..Version: 1.2.2

Turn Do not Disturb off or set the alarm for after DnD turns offI have do not disturb on my phone set from 10pm-7am. The app does say that do not disturb will silence the alarm, but I didn't notice this when turning the alarm on for the first time yesterday. Suffice it to say, my alarm went off at 7am instead of 6am (I have now changed do not disturb to 5:59am so the alarm can go off at 6am). It took a few moments for my sleep addled brain to realize the time AND to realize that to begin counting your steps, you have to tap a button on the phone. It got me up better than most alarms, and the thirty steps got me to my kitchen. But I somehow ended up back in bed downstairs with a half full kettle of water on my night stand (I think I was going to make coffee-we have a French press). Anyways, I'm definitely going to incorporate the "take a photo" option as well because trying to figure out how to take a photo and count my steps while I'm still asleep will hopefully wake me up enough to actually make coffee and stay out of bed. All in all, this alarm clock got me further along than most alarm clocks. I just wish I was a morning person so I didn't have this issue..Version: 1.2.2

It has helped me a lotUpdate: This app won’t work with the new iOS update!!! 😭 I have depended on this app for years to wake me up because nothing else works. Please update it! — I've been using this app for a year or two and it's pretty much the only thing that works to get me out of bed in the morning. I'm a really deep sleeper and with any other kind of alarm I tend to turn it off in my sleep without realizing and then wake up hours late. I do think it could be a bit simpler and more user friendly. The way it's currently set up, how you set the alarm time, delete alarms, etc... I don't think is very intuitive. I also would like some more alarm options as the same ones have been on there for years and are pretty miserable alarms to listen to. Oh, and this is a big downside of this app: it CANNOT be on silent if you want it to wake you up with sound in the morning. I can't explain what a pain this is because I've had to change my text tone so it doesn't ever make a sound. And if I get a call in the middle of the night... Of course it goes off and wakes up my boyfriend and (maybe) me too. That really should be changed so it can go off when it's on vibrate just like the regular Apple alarm..Version: 1.2.2

Vibrate and touch to startIm glad I set another alarm the first time I tried this one. I didn't realize if I had my phone on vibrate that the sound wouldn't go off. At least once my other alarm went off and then I turned the sound on, this came on as normal. The only other issue I have is that you have to touch to start it. I thought it would realize I was up and walking so in my dazed state I did about 30 before I realized what the problem was. No major bug, just a preference. All in all this is a sleek app that as long as I keep my volume on (though please change that in a future update) I feel confident in saying will help me to get up, get up on time, and keep to my commitments. Thank you so much! Well worth two dollars!.Version: 1.2.2

Well worth the moneyThis is possibly the greatest alarm I’ve ever used. It’s always been difficult for me to wake up and get out of bed due to medical conditions. I also have a habit of, if I get too familiar with the alarm tone, turning my regular phone alarm off in my sleep. That’s definitely not the case with this. Even if I hit the buttons on the side of my phone to silence it, it doesn’t stay quiet for long. I love that it makes me get up and walk to turn the alarm off; it recognizes the difference between you walking and shaking the phone. Since I’ve been using this app, I’ve been able to get up and actually make it to work on time. I can’t recommend this enough..Version: 2.1.1

The best you can getThis thing WILL make you get up out of bed and walk around. You can obviously go back to bed afterward- but it is more likely to wake you up because- will not count steps if you are trying to trick it by moving your phone back and forth or walking in circles ( I've tried it lol)- You must first get up AWAY from your bed in order to turn it off (although you try to circle around your bed if you'd like). Also, you cannot quit the app OR silence the alarm until you are finished walking. So it does get you out of bed and gives you a major advantage to the chance staying awake vs a regular alarm clock. Must have for people like me who have trouble waking up.Version: 1.2.2

Gets you up but a couple bugsI love the fact that you can pick you’re own song and how the alarm makes you get up to turn it off. It really does get me up and the alarm turns off automatically once you complete the steps. Don’t try to cheat bc it’ll catch you and make you start again. Only two problems I have. One big one. If your phone is in silent/vibrate, the alarm will NOT go off! It will only sent you a notification that vibrates. The phone must be on loud for it to go off. The other is that the song you pick is not the same song that goes off when the phone is locked. Once you open your phone then the song that was picked goes off. Besides those two things, this app is great..Version: 2.1.2

Very good!Annoying as all get out... But it works! I'm the type who justifies missing everything in the morning just for a few more minutes (hours) of sleep. This is the first alarm I've used that has gotten me up several days in a row without fail. I will say that the sensor for the steps needs to be modified, it's inaccurate. Also, sometimes the snooze option messes up the volume of the alarm. Not just for the time I hit snooze, but for the rest of the morning! I overslept 2 hours a few days ago because of it. I've been setting a back up alarm on a separate app.. Just in case. Overall, I'd recommend this alarm. Just not if you share a room with someone who wakes up later than you! (Students, it's a bad idea.).Version: 1.2.2

Worthwhile app for snooze-addicts, but could use better set of instructionsThis app isn't perfect, but is a great help for forcing you to get out of bed instead of hitting snooze a dozen times. I've read through a few complaints that people said the alarm never went off or didn't count their steps properly.. I have noticed that you must reset the alarm in the app if you've 'dismissed' the app previously. It can seem a bit annoying to make sure your alarm is in fact set every night, but I tend to double check the alarm time anyhow depending on the time I get to bed. As far as tracking steps, always seems to work for me - it does tend to need a bit of accelerometer motion to get it started counting down..Version: 1.2.2

Love it!I got in the habit of completely turning off my 15- 5 minute alarms in the morning and going back to sleep causing me to run late every morning. Since I have downloaded this app I've been waking up early and have had time to watch the news or walk my dogs and really get ready for the day. I feel refreshed and not so groggy! The only downside is I have to keep my phone on loud otherwise the alarm only vibrates in the morning and that won't wake me up. I receive a lot of emails during my sleeping time so I've learned to turn my volume down to half and my alarm still goes off and I don't hear all the emails! this app has been a life saver and I love it!.Version: 1.2.2

Nothing Gets Us Up except THIS!!Seriously. My husband and I have planned to get up at 6:30, every morning we've been married (about 4 months ago). It's never ever happened-- we always snooze until about 7:20, and then we end up late to class. We both bought the alarm this week, and we have been getting up at 6:30 am consistently! We look silly, both walking around our little apartment, BUT IT WORKS. And I LOVE that it knows if I'm "cheating". It's awesome. Although...it's a little hard to figure out. The interface and functions keep changing or something, and I don't want the alarm to snooze before I even have to get up and walk- but it does..Version: 1.2.2

Not bad....I do wish the app wouldn't ask you as to whether or not you're awake because usually I'm not. The app does a good job of forcing you to actually get up and take stabs and take pictures of where you're supposed to go after you wake up. I do wish there was a way to override the lock setting because I don't hear the little notifications that it sends me when my phone is locked. It is a wonderful idea but it needs to be refined a little. I should not be awake enough to unlock my iPhone before it actually starts going off. That's just ridiculous. If the developers made it so that the alarm started going off while the phone was locked, the app would be ten times better. For now I'm keeping my phone plugged in and unlocked so I can hear the alarms..Version: 1.2.2

SAVED ME! :)I ADORE this app. I have had trouble waking up since I was little. I just am a night owl and always hated mornings so much. I would set numerous alarms and on different machines, and I would still manage to snooze them all. It was horrible and really affecting me. This app is amazing. If you use it correctly, it can REALLY work. I have not found anything else that is effective at getting me out of bed in the morning and successfully waking me up. I love the picture option. I would recommend turning off snooze function completely. Also I wish the app was undeleteable lol. Because super tired me found that I could do that. Otherwise it is so great! Thank you!.Version: 1.2.2

Best ever.I'm the girl that hits snooze in her sleep so many times that the alarm clock gives up. This alarm is basically foolproof, and definitely worth buying! FYI, you definitely need to have your phone's ringer on (i.e. not on silent)...but as long as you remember to check that the night before, it will work. The step counter is not the most accurate but it's no big deal - I have it set to 10 steps and I probably take around 30 fast and frantic steps (all the while thinking "God this stupid alarm better not wake my 4yo up 😩") to satisfy the 10 step qualification, but if I walk more calmly and slowly it is way more accurate..Version: 1.2.2

Effective but flawedLike many who download this app, I snooze- repeatedly and habitually. When I became desperate and hit the App Store searching for a solution, this app seemed well-reviewed so I went for it. It could benefit from a better step counter as I have to walk in endless circles around my living room just to get 10 steps and often get accused of cheating. I also hate that I have to push "I'm awake" for it to start counting. And the alarm won't go off if your phone is on "do not disturb," which means I have to hear texts and emails as they come through all night. Apple's alarm works despite having "do not disturb" on, so it's not intuitive that I would need to leave my volume on. But overall it gets me up. That's what I wanted. It's not perfect but hey, it was 2 bucks..Version: 1.2.2

Good app, needs some improvementsI really like this app when I use it. It absolutely gets me out of bed so I can get my day started and be up on time. As other users have mentioned though, recently there seems to be some functionality changes that have enabled a couple of loopholes to the alarms. Which yes, it's still our responsibility to not take advantage of them, but let's be honest - if we could do that we wouldn't be in need of this app to get us out of bed. The app also needs to be updated for iOS 11. I've been getting that notification since the last iOS release that the app wasn't updated for, so now I believe it's at least two releases behind. Perhaps that's related to the functionality changes / loopholes? Not sure..Version: 1.2.2

Absolute life changerFirstly, I have to say when I first got the app I was quite irritated by having to leave a review before using it. It was a little off-putting, considering I paid for the app. BUT, after have been using this app for a while, I am extremely happy with the results. I love this app, it does what an alarm clock is supposed to do. I love the feature that makes you have to get up and walk steps before it will shut your alarm off, gets me up and going. I now wake up super p****d off that my alarm won’t turn off until I walk. After that, I’m good to go. I was never able to wake up early, EVER. And now I do it with ease. Amazing! One of the few apps I'd happily pay for, this is probably the most annoying yet the most effective way to get up in the morning. Especially when I use guided access and I'm too disoriented to turn it off, it becomes super effective for early mornings..Version: 2.1.3

Request for Music Fade InHi developer. The app is very useful and creative! Just wondering if we can have a music fade in function in the alarm section? So the music won't just burst out in a sudden. Thanks!.Version: 2.0.4

It worksFinally I wake up on time. I like the old version better because you had the option of 30 steps. For me 20 steps are not enough!.Version: 2.0.2

Why does this App have to be the last running App for it to work properly?Mail to "Support" got bounced as a not existing email address for me. I came across this App accidentally and at first it looked like an alarm that would fit my needs very well, adding some interesting features not available in Apple's Clock -> Alarm. 1) Why does this App have to be the last running App for it to work properly? Until now I had not come across any App that requires being the last running App for it to work correctly, and it seems like an odd requirement. The chances for me to have an alarm fail is extremely high with this requirement and is probably a deal breaker. Can you tell me why the App won't just work no matter if I use another App afterwords? I don't understand this. 2) How would any user know some of the ways to control its features? I had to locate your website and read about them. I saw nothing in the app that tells me I can use certain gestures to delete an alarm. That was the final thing for me that made me delete it. I could not figure out how to delete an alarm that I set up for testing. To be fair I am likely not your main demographic since I am a senior. However, I am also not a novice Device/App user and can generally figure things out, but in this case I was unable to and found that frustrating. 3) Why did the App automatically dim my screen to its lowest setting? Again, I saw nothing in the App that indicated this would happen, or why it would happen and perhaps more importantly, have a quick, visible way, such as an onscreen slider perhaps, to reset the dimmed screen to something a User could more easily see. I had to go into my Settings -> Display & Brightness to restore my screen to something that my eyes could see. I occasionally struggle with close up eyesight and had to get close to a bright light so I could see enough to restore the brightness. 4) I was completely unaware about the "footsteps and picture" feature to turn an alarm off until I looked on your website. It is quite possible some of these guides are in the App and I just could not find them, or properly understand the minimal pointers If that is the case please tell where I would find any sort of guide within the App itself. Also, many younger people might automatically think of gestures and find the solutions very quickly, however, I suspect many people do not. I think the addition of something like a quick tutorial to swipe through when the App is first opened would be a terrific addition. Back to my first point though, is there any way to remove, or otherwise avoid this App having to be the last run App for it to work correctly? The risk of missing alarms due to this requirement makes it much less useful as a powerful alarm clock I would want to switch to. As well, the only way I knew about the requirement for this to be the last run App for the alarm to work was when I eventually went to your website..Version: 2.0.2

Is it compatible? It says it is not compatible with my current iOS.Version: 1.2.2
