HuntStand: The Top Hunting App App Comments & Reviews

HuntStand: The Top Hunting App Positive Reviews

Great product for the average hunter...I’ve been using this product for several years now and have always liked it. I recently got to use a feature that became available this year. I shot a doe and she took off like a rabbit... I had a good idea of where she went, but when I got to the shot site there was minimal blood. I turned on the tracking feature and started making my way into he woods. I finally found more blood about 100 yards from the initial site, started the tracking feature over again so I would know exactly where I found the most recent blood and started 10 yard sweeps through the woods. Was able to keep referring back to my tracking and finally found the deer another 50 yards out deeper in the woods. It was dark and without the tracking I am not sure I would have found her and the meat would have been wasted. I also like being able to look back at my kills and sightings on my computer and see the weather info and trends as to when I am seeing the most movement and at which of my 5 properties will be my best opportunity to see/harvest animals given different weather situations. I have a cousin that I have given permissions to so he can also see where and when to hunt in different situations..Version: 5.4.2

Fantastic Management ToolAwesome management tool for measuring distances, calculating plant areas and off line mapping and boundary marking/outlines. Also, the most accurate public land mapping app with descriptive notations regarding specific regulations within WMAs (i.e. Natural Areas, Special Use Areas -SUA, Walk-In Turkey Areas etc). (I’ve tested OnX, Base Map, Spartan Forge and Hunt Wise) While some may offer zone regulations and web links they do not detail the special areas’ boundaries where Hunt Stand does! Also, the imagery is the best I’ve found while online and the monthly sat images are convenient as well. I also love how you can toggle between topo lines, property lines, public land details and various other maps while keeping your same spot on the map whether you are online or off! All you have to do is be sure you save your hunt area before heading out. Last, the weather features and wind tools are great too. I’ve literally tested every app, this one is as close as you’ll find for covering all bounds, unless you’re interested in aquatic telemetry. Get this, and don’t go through all the others like I did… some have better “marketing”, but this takes the prize for practicality and functionality..Version: 7.3.0

It needs a “Go To” functionI’ve been using HuntStand for a couple of years now, I’m using the paid version for the extra features it offers. My entire hunting party uses it too because we can link to each other and we always know where each other is located. The only gripe that all of us have is that it really really needs a “Go To” function. What I’m referring to is the waypoints…it would be a perfect app if it had the ability to lead you to whatever waypoint you select. Here’s an example: find the waypoint you want to navigate to, click on it on the map, then click “Go To” and it will then show you where to go….by showing a pointer and compass heading to give you the direction and distance to the waypoint you select. This feature is available on all fishing gps units, but it would be an incredibly useful feature if HuntStand offered it on the app. Besides this one gripe, HuntStand is certainly in the top 5 hunting apps available. If we had a “Go To” feature on it, it would easily be the number one hunting app on the market. If you haven’t tried HuntStand yet, it’s certainly worth giving it a shot! Thanks for a nice hunting tool!.Version: 7.1.8

HuntStandHuntStand is the only hunting app I use and I’ve been using it for several years! Had a guy come up to me and said I was hunting on their land. I brought up the boundary lines for the farm I was hunting on and then his. He didn’t (couldn’t) say anything but I was clearly 50 to 75 yards inside the farm boundary and facing away from his property. I told him thank you for ruining my evening hunt. I never put up a stand I know is going to be close to a boundary without using HuntStand. I want to be at least 50 yards off another person’s land, up high, with my back to the tree, and the tree between me and the boundary… you never know who’s over there hunting as well. HuntStand maps are by far the best and have good historical imagery. The ability to identify wind direction (Hunt Zone) at your stand is crucial and I find HuntStand is pretty much right on. Yes I know thermals up in the morning down in the evening but you can still see scent drift direction. You may be different or your area may be different but as for me… I’ll take HuntStand over any other app out there everyday of the week. It just works for me and I couldn’t be any happier with it!.Version: 7.4.3

Would recommend to any hunterI’ve been hunting my whole life and downloaded this app a while ago and did not use it much. I have really put it to use and it is extremely helpful. As we know, every minor or major advantage we can get in the woods is worth anything. Marking spots is an obvious but there are many other things this can be used for. This app helped me find a deer this weekend actually. I heard the deer pile up at what I thought was about 50 yards from the stand so I marked about where I heard him fall. When I got out of my stand I looked for blood for a good 45 mins and there was none. I went and looked around where I felt the deer piled up and could not find the deer and was getting turned around. I drew a line from my stand through the spot I marked about 100 yards past. From there, the gps letting you know which way you are facing, i zig zagged that line 50 yards past on each side and kept moving. I found the deer in about 15 minutes 25 yards off of that line but it had ran about 50 yards further than I had thought. This in itself made this app worth it but before this I still had found this app to be an absolute must..Version: 5.0.7

Long term reviewAbsolutely fantastic app for managing a property or properties that you hunt. So easy to share with others and plan out where to put stands or where animal movement is. After using for a few years and logging lots of data it’s also a great resource to manage changes to a property. Invaluable to any hunter. Now that it has private property boundaries it’s a cut above every other app out there. Recently began predator hunting and couldn’t do it without the weather feature on this app. I can quickly switch from property to property and gauge the wind. When hitting multiple properties in a night it couldn’t be easier with HuntStand. All my hunting friends set up their property and share around. Even if you don’t hunt there it’s nice to be able to find your buddy when he puts down a deer and needs a hand. Switch to his property and communicate. Last feature I use the most is the tracking function. Make trails into a stand and anyone else on the property in the app knows how to avoid putting scent in the wrong place. Makes walking in to a stand in the dark easy too..Version: 5.1.2

Love the app but it has its momentsI’ve been using the app since it was Scoutlook. Thankfully everything transferred smoothly. I even bought the pro for property line info which works pretty good even though it has my own property mixed up with my neighbors. Another thing is no matter where I’m at in the world it always takes me to my home property. Whether I’m in town or in Ohio it always takes me to the middle of my swamp when I open the app. I wish it would show me where I’m at, so I don’t have to zoom out then back in to find myself on the map. Even when I hit the location button it is so zoomed out that I have to zoom way in to find myself. Kind of irritating if you’re scouting a lot of new ground in a different state or area. I don’t usually write reviews but I use this app almost every day constantly studying new areas, looking up property lines, checking wind etc. It does glitch some times and takes me back to my swamp. If I didn’t have so many pins on it I would be tempted to try out a different app, but I literally have everything on here since I started hunting..Version: 6.2.1

Public land mapsWhen I use public land mode and try to mark and save the public area the app freezes every time. And I have to delete then reboot the app. I like to use this feature then switch back to the land owner info map. But cannot do this at this time because of app freezing issues. Maybe you guys can work that out. I can select and mark public land just fine on property owner info map. Also every time you want to check the wind of the area it always starts in location where app was originally set up. Kind of annoying to keep being sent back to a house no one lives at anymore. Especially when your thirty miles in the woods and just wanting to get a quick wind reference. Zoom out zoom in zoom out zoom in 🤦‍♂️ Also you think you could do aerial land photos in the fall at hunting seasons when leaves have fallen instead of middle of summer when you can’t see anything but bushy green trees. Just makes sense. Other then that love the app and use it every hunting trip. 👍.Version: 7.1.4

Very useful for much more than huntingI started using this app for marking hunting stands and such but over several years I have found that it is useful for many different outdoor activities. I have hundreds of fishing locations marked, it’s great for trapping season to keep track of all your traps as you move them around, it’s good for keeping up with trail cameras especially in the summer when you aren’t out checking them as much. I’ve also used it for marking trails that I run for exercise, marking locations for fossil hunting, Indian artifact finds and a lot of other stuff. They don’t have pins for all of these so I usually will pick one that I can remember what it is for and it gives you the ability to add a description to it. The maps on this app are excellent and have endless helpful features. I killed a awesome buck in 2017 by using this app to figure out where my overlooked areas were on the property I was hunting. Take your time and study these maps and make detailed markings and you will be killing that elusive buck. You WILL like this app..Version: 5.2

Best out there for the serious but not professional hunterI have used OnX in the past and don’t get me wrong, I live onX but for me only going out maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks it’s a little to much for me. HuntStand is the best for me, even if you don’t buy premium it still gives you enough info and plates to accurately get a plan of how you’re going to work an area. You can drop different coded pins to easily label areas. Figuring out how to add my friends was a little tricky but well worth it once it was done, you can share your map creations with them. 5/5 best free hunting app out there, if you do use the premium then it’s not as expensive as onX still. My only requests for making it “better” (I still think it’s 5/5) is maybe make the friends adding a little more stream lined and also, I wish there was a giant library of different pins to drop on the map and through the settings you can chose which ones show up on the map when you hit the pin Icon. Maybe add pins for coyotes and more turkey pins too please. Great app, love it.Version: 5.5.7

Hunt StandI Just Started Used This App Last Year And I Like This App I Used This App A lot When Iam Hunting I Like This App It is A Good App To Used Good Hunting App To Used I Like This App Its A Good App To Used When you Are Not Hunting Too I Like This App It tells you About The Weather To Didn't Hit The Woods With Out This App and Iam Going To Used This App This Weekend To Every Time I Go Hunting I Used This App Awsome App To Used Good Job On This App Keep up The Good Work I Tell Y'all This Is The Best Hunting This Is A Best HunterApp That I Will Used Every Day Can Somebody please Help me Iam Having trouble With My HuntStand App it Keeps telling me that my Weather is Up to Date And Its Up To Date can Someone please Help me Maybe it Has A Bug I Deleted The App And reDownload It And It Still tell me that my Weather is up to Date I just updated this app when I open it it goes Away please can somebody please help me I love this app I like this app on my Hunt stand app my weather is messed up can somebody please help me I like this App it’s Good to Have thank you so much please help me.Version: 6.2.2

Great app! There are those who are low tech and then you have those who are no tech. I am somewhere in between. I have a smart phone because my job requires me too but I really struggle with all things electronic. That being said, this app is really user friendly! I’ve had it for at least a few hunting seasons now but have really started using it building up to this season. I own 60 acres and have used it to measure and mark food plots, I use it when I have a group of hunters so I can keep up with where they are located on my ranch, and I use it to show my hunters where the boundary lines are, which direction they can and can’t shoot and I use it for many other things on my ranch. It’s a lot of fun, it’s practical, useful, and it functional for even us less than tech savvy. Now I just can’t wait to start getting maps made!!!! Bottom line. You should get the app! Take the time to figure out all you can do with it and then enjoy!.Version: 3.96.7

Best Hunting App There IsIf you hunt, you NEED this app. This app is perfect for those with private land to hunt and still useful for those that hunt public. The mapping features are great for remembering where you put stands, cameras, and blinds. It’s is also a great app for scouting, as you can plot tracks, trails, etc. in to the mapping and really understand your wildlife movement. Last but not least, HuntZone, it is an essential wind predictor and work flawlessly. I was skeptical of it at first, but it was accurate in one of my stands that is notorious for whirling winds. The best part is that you can sync it before you leave your house and you don’t have to worry about having service because it will give you the wind readings for 72 hours from the time you last synced. For those just getting started I suggest you use this in combination with the desktop site, which lays out all the features on a bigger screen and makes it easier to understand..Version: 5.0.5

A hunters helper.Although the title is “A hunters helper” it is really great for any outdoorsman. I use this app for just about everything I do while hunting. The best thing is it’s programmed for all types of hunters such as deer hunting it shows the wind direction and changes in the wind throughout the day, I can personally say it helped me this season I was able to get some great encounters with really big bucks after doing a lot of mapping. I also trap and when you have a lot of traps it gets a little difficult for some people to remember where they are. Another great thing about HuntStand is that if you have a buddy that you hunt with and he doesn’t know what stand/blind to go to you can send him a picture of your personalized map. It is also great for waterfowl hunters as it can also show the direction that they will most likely come from. Hopefully you will also enjoy this app as much as I and have learned something in this article. It’s a great app..Version: 3.96.15

Incredible AppThis has quickly became my favorite app and I’ve used them all. Huntstand has all of the features that I’m looking for and nothing beats the wind direction target. This app has recently helped me navigate my way through the SC swamp lands and get me and my 14 year old son safely out of the swamp. Although it’s not quite as user friendly at the start, its well worth the time spent. I’ve learned the ins and out of most of the features to the point where I was actually able to help some of the pros to learn how to use it. We used the app to mark our vehicle drop off locations, drop pins for our harvests and each time we came out of the swamp within feet of where we needed to. I’m a big fan and will be dropping my two other paid subscriptions. Big thanks to Brian and Mark for such a great hog this past weekend!.Version: 5.5.9

Best hunting / mapping app of all I have triedEasy to use, free use with ads is not a burden at all. We have a shared map area and have been encouraging members to get into HuntStand and consider paying but some are slow to adopt new technology when we still have paper maps. The best endorsement - I heard a few days ago of a member who got lost tracking his deer. He took out his phone, no cell signal but no problem - HuntStand only needs a satellite GPS signal after syncing. He was able to see his position real time and find his way back to his stand and ATV Last night I was dragging a deer. I knew exactly where I was but wanted to confirm I was dragging the shortest, most direct route back to my truck rather than drag to the trail then follow it. After heading that way for a few minutes I opened HuntStand to confirm, then kept on dragging.Version: 3.96.7

Really a great productI’ve been using the app since it first came around. I’ve never faced any issues with the product other than learning new updates because I am by no means tech savvy. The location is always spot on and the boundaries of your property lines are within a few feet of surveyed boundaries. I not only use the app for hunting but for any task that will need done one the ranch. It’s always nice to have a product that you can depend on to work every time and also be able to share the necessary information with whoever I give access to. The sync of information is extremely helpful when you have 4 plus people on different dates and times going to work on different projects. I would 10 out of 10 recommend this product to ranchers and sportsman alike..Version: 5.3.3

More uses than just huntingAwesome App. A few suggestions. I paid the very small $5.00 fee to go add free, however I did find several items in the adds of interest (before I purchased). Suggestion number one, add another box that I can click on to scroll through the adds as I want. I Don't like pop up adds however it would be nice to be able to see some of what the advertisers have to offer. Suggestion number two, add a drop pin for located downed animal. I was successful this October in harvesting a deer, after tracking and finding it, I used the this app to mark the location of the kill. I couldn’t find anything in the drop pin icons stating anything related to a downed animal so I just used a red pin. I then hiked back out and got my sled and returned to the animal and retrieved it..Version: 3.96.6

Incredible, A Must Have, Total Package!I have never really gave any apps or programs reviews, but this app definitely was getting one. We hunt multiple locations (both public and private land) at different times throughout the year. Our main focus is hunting mature Whitetail in the heart of the Midwest. We have tried other apps and software programs to help plan hunts, create and update maps, check the ever-changing weather conditions in the Midwest, collect field data and intel, and help us make decisions on the where and when questions; HuntStand has outperformed them all! This is the only app we trust to help us with our hunts and manage our farms and deer herds! Nothing else compares to the versatility, ease of use, and the simplistic complexity this app offers serious gamekeepers and outdoorsmen!.Version: 3.96.7

Very sophisticated!!This being my first hunt in 21 yrs has shown me hunting has come a long way. With all the new gear and apps now even a busy man can hunt. This app allowed me to pin point spots to scout and hunt. With out ever going in the woods my first hunt I sat along a low land area right at the edge just like I’d seen on the app. I sat down at 4:57 and by 5:11 had shot a doe and nice mature 9 point. Not a week later after hunting a few days on some new hunting territory I had gotten permission on because I was able to see who owed the land and with contact info all through the HuntStand app I bagged another nice mature 11 point. Before each hunt I checked wind and hunted where wind was ideal. The app made it a breeze. I highly Recommend!!!!!!!.Version: 7.1.4

Heavy ForestI got a little turned around while walking through the forest and I actually crossed over my own path when I missed the trail. I turned on the trace a day before and just walked back through the path it showed me once I realized where I was. The really interesting thing was that the hybrid map was so clear it showed me a downed tree I was standing by which put me back on path to get back to the SXS. Out of all the locators I have used in the past Hunt Stand proves to be the best. I would also recommend that while in camp you should trace around the camp to orient how your map trace works before your in the deep woods and mark your starting point when you get in the area your hunting..Version: 7.3.7

Good app, needs lots of work.I like this app, I use it a lot. However, my main issue is that if my phone times out, or I switch to any other app on my phone (without closing the HuntStand app)and then come back I have to completely start over finding my location again as I am now staring at the entire SE USA. Every time!!! Even if I just look at text messages. This alone is guaranteeing I do not purchase a 2nd year of the “pro” version. A second issue I have is checking wind direction/scent cone; when selected it takes me away from where I was looking to a default location. Third issue is if zoomed out your location is hidden by any markers you may have made. 4th issue is please add hog related sign to the icons that can be placed on the map. ScoutLook was a much better, more intuitive application and I wish it was still available..Version: 5.3.9

Awesome Tool for FreeThis app is outstanding even in the absence of their optional paid upgrades. Despite being tailored for the hunter, the app effectively turns your phone into a GPS unit that can record tracks, record waypoints and associate them with digital images, provide real time weather and radar data as well as forecasts, gives access to celestial data, and syncs with their online platform to provide map tools with basic, but effective, functionality as a GIS map builder. The capabilities of the unpaid version far exceed the needs of the average hunter and is perfect for hunting enthusiasts that are serious about weather conditions and value aerial imagery and mapping as scouting resources..Version: 6.3

Awesome ApplicationThis app provides important tools for each hunter to be well informed based on information that you the hunter provides within the app. The app also provides remarkable details about landowner information. If you know of land that you would like to hunt but need to find landowner information about look no further than this app. In addition the landowner information also outlines the property line, acreage and perimeter distance. This info helps the hunter obey the law by knowing the boundaries that they are confined to. There are many more options like mapping your trail cameras. The full use of this application can only be appreciated by using it. I recommend this application to hunters without reservation..Version: 5.3.9

Great imageryI have used just about every hunting map app on the market. Trial runs after trial runs before I finally pulled the trigger and paid for one. I chose HuntStand for one reason, the imagery. The arial imagery used in HuntStand is during the winter months which is a huge help in “cyber-scouting”. I’m able to see water levels to determine accessibility by boat, I’m able to identify oak flats and swamp areas, I’m able to locate beaver dams and funnels without needing topo. Several high spots in a swamp that provide animals easy walking are often less then 10 feet (10 foot change in elevation drives a line on a topo) and this is easily seen on HuntStand satellite view. Number 1 when compared to other popular hunting apps..Version: 5.5.5

Just what I need!!!!I’ve used this app for the past two years. It gives me just the info I need to get an advantage to get that “solid” buck every year. That’s all a good hunter can ask for is a “solid” buck every year. The way that we can share with our hunting partners also sets a safety standard and awareness of where we are. I can’t stress safety enough! As humans we become complacent and loose our safety awareness. But this app unconsciously applies a safety measure that is extremely effective. ***NOTE*** Also, it helps us maintain law and hunting etiquette. If a neighbor hunter gets his feeder over our line then we can let him know and politely show him on our map. KEEP IT IP HUNT STAND! I could write all day but I’ve got a appointment to attend..Version: 5.0.5

UpdateThis app was great until I updated it today. Now that the app has updated it will not show property owners information when you tap on it. It will show the property lines but no info. I really liked this app and used it quite a bit but it's useless to me without the information. HuntStand contacted me and they have resolved the issue. This is how things should work when you have prompt customer service. Kudos to HuntStand for getting the problem resolved quickly. Like I said before the app is great. What makes it even better is that hurt stand is on the ball when it comes to fixing things..Version: 7.3.4

Sync doesn’t work/poor customer serviceThis app has so much potential and could be the one stop shop app for every hunter. However, if you are using multiple devices the sync function fails more often than not causing lost information or outdated maps. I have emailed customer service about this multiple times as well as sent messages to their Facebook page and have yet to even be acknowledged. At this point I will be looking for alternative options for my hunt club as it’s obvious support doesn’t really care about their users. Sad to know that over 100 potential users (my club members) will be lost and the developers don’t care..Version: 3.81

HuntStand user and link errors to upgrade pro / advertisingI had been a Scoutlook user since they launched and with HuntStand merger I was worried about my data, but it was seem less and all data and saved locations appeared onto the HuntStand maps ( Great job )!!! As a IPhone 11pro Max user I have clicked on several of the advertisers links but it keeps showing error has occurred try again later? I also have tried to purchase HuntStand Pro and get the same results directly from the app or the App Store gives same results? Making you aware of that issue so you can make fixes or software update. Thank you for your service and work on the new HuntStand app..Version: 5.0.5

Best hunting app everI love this app. I have tried many and they are all very high priced this app offers the same exact options as the others but this app is priced for the working man or woman. I have paid for this app to let the makers know how much I appreciate what they are giving us for this great price, the free version of this app is just about the same as the paid version so if you can’t pay them you can still use the whole app for your hunting purposes. Such a good app at such a good price. I had to say thanks to the makers of this app by giving this review and paying for the app. Really appreciate what you guys are doing and thank you and keep up the good work. Thanks..Version: 3.96.6

Used to be betterI swore by this app for the past two years, but something happened with the last update. When I am out scouting, even though I have a detailed map displayed, and I am not zooming in or out, the app constantly crashes and tries to restart. The problem is that I am in a poor signal area, which was never an issue until this year. It’s like the app just drops, and when it restarts (if it does), instead of using the data in memory, it tries to reload the map, which usually never append. Not a good experience when you are trying to use the map to mark trails and waypoints. I’m trying those other guys to see if their app allows me to X mark my waypoints without the constant crashes..Version: 7.3.7

Best app out thereGreat tool to have in the woods. I use the trace feature extensively. I use the maps extensively, these maps are within 5' & I have tested out in 3 different states. I use the whole app extensively. The moon cycle thing is almost spot on, it varies from where you are physically... are you in Eastern or Western, North or South parts of the state. It's fairly easy to use & doesn't take too much battery, even when using it all day to navigate WMA terrain. I can't express how exited I get when this app opens up, I'm 95% of the time, deep in the woods. I purposely used a lot of "ex"s so y'all would know I'm real. Plus, I could keep going.Version: 5.5.3

HuntStand makes it easySure you can watch the weather channel and get the info you want or the app. It is so much easier to see how a SSE wind will have an impact on you stand sites when you get the wind speed and direction on the map with your stands on it. I open it and choose where to sit bc the HuntStand app shows me the impact of my scent or luring scents will have during the hours I plan to hunt. I love the tracker option also after I have shot an animal. A+ app for sure. And it is not so difficult to add your stand sites and other geographical pins. Everyone that spends time in the outdoors should try it, Mike.Version: 6.2

Great app/sub par customer serviceI’ve been using HuntStand since it became HuntStand. I love this app it helps me regularly not just with hunting but with land management and other things as well. Couldn’t be happier with the app. I had an issue (still have it) with some of my land boundaries being off and I know they’re not 100% accurate, but it’s not that they aren’t accurate, it’s that all the land is correct just misplaced one parcel over. I contacted customer service 4 times via email, over a course of about 6 months. I still haven’t gotten a reply. Love the app, just wish someone would at least contact me and try to resolve my problem; I did pay for the ad free and parcel information after all..Version: 5.5.2

Great, not fantasticHuntStand: a little clunky getting in, I feel like I missed features because of poor app interface. I never used to solunar, weather, friend locator, tasks, stand reservation, sightings, harvest, or trail cam map features. Map editor was iffy at best, on one occasion when I was new to the app I dropped pins that I could never find again. Huge fan of the hunt zone feature… never really got to utilize it. Not a fan of the Hunt Area organization but I could see where that is super helpful when used right. Map quality was great, property info and public/hunting lands feature were great. Overall good, definitely useable and I wouldn’t hesitate to redownload it..Version: 7.2.6

Game changerThis app makes it very easy to find out who owns a piece of property so that you can get permission to hunt.. the ability to mark trails and to mark tree stands and cameras is awesome. The only thing I wish they did differently was in Pennsylvania we have these stupid things called wildlife management units and I wish they put the borders of those in. they do put the borders of all the state game lands in which is awesome but you don’t know what wildlife management unit you’re in, so you have to kind of do your own overlay to figure out where you’re at. I use the app all the time and I am grateful I found it..Version: 7.1.2

This app is a must for deer camp membersI’ve used this app to map out our entire property, and it has played a key role in educating the other members about paying attention to wind direction. Being able to share it is great, so only one person has to create the set up, instead of multiple guys having to recreate their own. Takes a little to get used to the user interface, and there some features that seem to only be accessible from the desktop version, but all-in-all, this is a quality app. Would recommend to anyone who wants a better understanding of their place, for themselves and for others..Version: 5.0.7

I’ve been using for a few years nowI’ve been using this app for a couple of years now and its worked well for me. The only fault I’ve found is that the phone app and pc app are not in sync for the Huntzone. You can have both open at the same time and they will predict different wind directions. This hampers hunt planning. I contacted Huntstand to let them know. They did not seem to understand the issue, but claim the phone app is correct. Since the phone app is the last reference before choosing blind locations, I have little choice but to trust they are right. Other than that, it works great and I will continue to use it..Version: 4.0.3

Very good appUse it for every hunt where the routes planning wind direction or finding my tree stand location in the dark, this works very well. I also have data for Robles and scrape liens from previous years that has help me out this hunting season. It also allows me to share a Hunting locations with my hunting buddies so if I want to put them in a certain location and they have this app on their phone they can easily find where I’m talking about. Rate for finding your property boundaries for a specific hunting the location. Also has allowed me to find owners of neighboring property locations which I have used to expand my hunting properties..Version: 3.96.9

The Most Useful Tool in My PackI never leave app reviews for the sole reason that an ‘app’ has never made enough of an impact on me for me to take the time to review it. That is until I found HuntStand. Hunt stand makes it significantly easier to ‘Hunt Smart, Not Hard’ in that it puts all of you weather, stand, and animal movement information at your fingertips. HuntStands biggest competitor charges $99/yr. For features the are much harder to use yet more or less the same as those offered by Hunt Stand for only $12/yr. If you want to have an edge on those wary whitetail bucks and big tom turkeys, do not hesitate to download HuntStand and support a good, South Carolina based company!.Version: 3.76

Love itI started out with the free version but soon subscribed for the additional benefits. Only issue, which is not the app’s fault, is lack of current data if you have very weak or no cell service. Love the property boundaries. Allows me to do a lot of scouting either from the parking lot or even at home. I wish it had a tracking feature that allows you to follow your traveling and auto scroll the map. Would like to be able to drive and follow my route with the app doing the auto scrolling. I’ll be keeping my subscription as i really use it a lot for property boundaries..Version: 7.2.6

Major app issuesI’ve been an avid user of this app for 10 months and have marked around 1,000 way points on 12-15 different properties across 3 states. The latest app update caused my login to fail on the app, however my data is still available on the website. I’ve emailed twice and attempted to reach out via Messenger. It’s been a week with no response. I’ve got an out of state hunting trip planned this week where I was planning to use the app and the hours of ariel scouting and way points. Hopefully my issue is resolved before then or I’ll be completely converting to OnX. I currently use both but have relied 90% on HuntStand. Please help.....Version: 3.93

Quality AND QuantityThe absolute best and most informative hunting app I’ve come across, and the best features ARE actually FREE! I use it daily, even when I’m not able to hunt on a particular day to monitor wind, weather, and barometer conditions and also the solunar tables’ minor and major times to aid me in deciding when the best possible times and conditions are occurring and when I absolutely need to be on stand. There’s a wealth of information at your fingertips and it also doubles as a hunting journal to easily log newly created sign and activity- with out a doubt a must have for any serious archer who wants to increase his/her opportunity to bag a trophy whitetail. 🦌.Version: 3.96.7

Great Hunting App - Free or Pro version! This app has so much useful information for any hunter. Beginning Hunter, season, Hunter, or professional hunters alike can find information from the free version or the paid version that is extremely beneficial. Information that you’d be required to pay for from other hunting apps. From just marking your location for safety purposes, or literally identifying major scouting information. You can share some information or all of it with your friends. You can even check in so you’re never really out there alone. This app is great!!.Version: 7.1.2

NEEDS BETTER HYBRID LAYERThis app is great with a lot of great features! My biggest complaint, although it may seem small, is that there is not a good aerial with topo overlay hybrid layer. Their “contour” layer option shows contour lines every 20 meters instead of the standard 20 feet. This makes it impossible to read the terrain accurately. This is the only drawback of the app. To a forester who hunts and does wildlife habitat consulting, this is a MAJOR drawback with such a simple solution!! If it weren’t for all the other exclusive features this one thing would make it unusable for what I need it for most; so much that I almost venture to give it only 3 or less stars! PLEASE ADD A USABLE HYBRID LAYER!!.Version: 7.0.2
