Joe and Charlie-True Big Book ThumpersI got sober in Dayton, Oh near the birthplace of AA. It was there that I was taught that the direction to sobriety was found in the Big Book and that if I followed precisely the direction inside I too could live a wonderful life. 12 years later I can’t deny that truth. I was introduced to Joe and Charlie with a set of CD’s and through the book and their guidance I have not found a reason to take a drink. WOW Fun & Knowledgeable!I recommend this to all new comers & very old timers who don't know what we have available today with modern technology. This explains the Big Book in a simple & enjoyable way. The steps are so easy to follow that I look forward to redoing them. It's not only fun to listen to but convenient. I listen while driving, cleaning & exercising. It's not only convenient but saves money & space. A True BlessingI love Joe and Charlie. I'm recently sober- just over 90 days. I leaned about Joe and Charlie from An "old timer" in the program and I know it was divinely inspired that I did. These recordings make the Big Book relevant to my experience and my understanding of the program. I have the CDs but it's hard to find a player outside of my car these days! QuestionHi there I couldn’t figure out how else to reach the developers so I’m doing it through a review… I love this app- I’ve been using it for years… I am in a recovery Facebook group and I wonder if I would be able to post the transcripts on an ongoing basis, giving full credit to the app of course every time I post. Joe and CharlieI have been sober for 26 years and I needed to rejuvenate my program! I remembered years ago listening to the Joe and Charlie tapes and being inspired so I decided to see if they had an app and here it is! I downloaded it on my iPad and can listen to it anywhere! I also use it with my sponsees, we take out our Big Books and follow along as Joe & Charlie take us through the steps. I love it.Version: 2.0
FantasticThe content is wonderful, I love having the text to read along with the audio. There are a few typos, but they aren't intrusive. The only suggestion I would make is to have the option of playing the sections continuously. Even recovered alcoholics are a danger on the road when they are scrambling to find and play the next session while driving at 80 mph!.Version: 2.0

SerenityGreat app, love the explanations and how it is broken down along with their understanding of the background behind the writing of the Big Book by the original authors. Only complaint is there isn't a way to bookmark where you left off if you have to stop in the middle of one of the sections and doesn't show which episode you left off on. Excellent tool for those Serious about understanding the 12 StepsI'm not ashamed to say, that my Recovery from Alcoholism was sadly lacking and doomed to failure, until I latched on to the fact that a clear and unambiguous understanding of the 12 Step program and Spiritual Principals that they espouse was essential. 28 years trying to get Sober and find a better way of living. 3 years ago, a fellow addict lent me his Joe and Charlie CD's. Very InformativeVery informative history of AA and breakdown of the Big Book. Sound quality forces you to turn up the volume full blast but I imagine one reason that is that the available media to record on was cassette tapes. I can remember how much I paid for it honestly. It feels like you’re sitting down with a couple of your uncles who are wise but so down to earth.
