Explore world landmarks, discover natural wonders and step inside locations such as museums, arenas, restaurants and small businesses with Google Street View.

Also create photo spheres to add your own Street View experiences. Start with your phone’s camera or add a one–shot spherical camera (like the Ricoh Theta V or S) for easy 360º photography. Then, you can publish to Google Maps to share your photo spheres with the world.

Content galleries:
• Browse — or be notified of — Google’s newest special collections
• Explore all of Street View (including contributions from others)
• Review your public profile of published photo spheres
• Manage your private photo spheres

Creating and sharing photo spheres:
• Use your phone’s camera (no camera accessories required)
• Connect to a spherical camera to capture in one tap
• Share to Google Maps as immersive photo spheres
• Share privately as flat photos

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Google Street View App Comments & Reviews

Google Street View Positive Reviews

Great, but needs some improvementThis app is great, but there is one issue that bugs me. After you do the 360 view, there is some stitching issues. Also, it tAkes a really long time to do a 360 view. How about instead of aiming you’re camera at a dot a bunch of times, there would be an automatic 360 degree camera filter so that you could takes less glitchy pictures and it would take less time. PLEASE ADD THAT!.Version: 2.17.3

Great! 😄This app is beyond exceptional, it’s really great and i think more people should use it. i know i kind of sound like a robot writing a good review so that more people download the app but i’m not. this app is really helpful and really informative. one time i was using it and i was looking for a friends house; using this app i found a ton of fun stuff to do around her house and we actually weren’t bored that day but, anyway back to the point, this app is really good and if you are reading this review before you get the app, i highly suggest that you do because, it’s helpful in so many ways and i think it will make your life easier when trying to see what a neighborhood is like or, to see what’s around a house that you are interested in. overall i honestly, truly think that you should get this app..Version: 2.13.3

GSV Trusted Rates GSVHaving great fun. GSV is a great tool for everyone to use. When I upload a bunch of photos at one time, I sometimes get the error "No Wifi" when I am in my office and have great Wifi. So I am not sure what to say about that. However, having these photos now connect i.e. Camera spot 1 to 2 to 3 and so on and editing the direction that is shown as the thumbnail prior to uploading so you are giving the best view / direction of the 360 is fantastic. Then taking it a step further and editing the listing to match you GPS pin point location in Google Map and adding the parking location. Now this bring the service to the public to a whole new level. The new roll out of GSV and Google Maps is truly exciting. Data Fuels the Cannon, Technology Ignites It..Version: 2.12.1

Poor for contributing 360 photosI use this mainly to take and upload 360 pictures to google street view. It’s nice because I can always go back and see the pictures I’ve uploaded to remember where I’ve been and to share places that google has not been able to image. The app is quite unstable, even on a iPhone 12pro max. It often crashes when swiping between 360 images. Setting locations doesn’t always seem to change to the place you pick. Other times it will change to some similarly named place that wasn’t shown in the location picker. Some photos will be rejected by google but you can’t easily see what they are or why they were rejected. You just need to go through the low view counts and check each one although the app does tell you how many were approved. The 360 photos are pretty good, but sometimes there is some tearing. Maybe the image acquisition could ask for a few more photos to help with the stitching? Lastly, I’ve been using this app since around the time it first came out. My 360 photos have always saved to my camera roll. Now, I’ve noticed they’re not and there doesn’t seem to be any way to get them back even though google appears to have a copy..Version: 2.17.2

This might be hard to understand but please read.If you take a 360 photo on your phone or camera and move it to this app. You can change the location (not the address, the actual exact place the pic was taken.). But when editing the photo and putting it in the correct place. You have to be able to see the pic at the bottom of the screen where you can edit the view or map... You can do that. Until you publish it. You can press select and try to change the place but at the bottom, the pic is just white so you can’t see the pic. This is a lot and I’m guessing nobody understood this. But google, please take this into consideration to fix..Version: 2.13.3

Why is no one else even tryingI don’t understand why there aren’t other apps that attempt to provide the complete platform for creating and viewing yours and others’ UHD photospheres. This does 8K, straight from your normal phone, and it does it without instructions or setup. You can save the flattened photospheres to your phone in full resolution and use them however you want. There’s a huge database of photospheres around the world and it’s easy to search and view. Why have I come back to this app year after year with no one else getting half as close to doing what I consider a reasonably simple thing like this app does?.Version: 2.17.2

Amazing!I’m in love! I can pop in almost anywhere in the whole wide world and experience it from wherever I am. I can revisit places I’ve been before and/or lived before and take a walk down memory lane...or pop in and experience somewhere I may never get to see in person. I feel like I just got to revisit my favorite beach in California where I spent a great many hours, an amusement park where I used to work, and the city center in the town where I used to live. Next, I’m going to drop into the Eiffel Tower area to reminisce from my European vacation!.Version: 2.13.3

Fascinating softwareThe best way to take a vacation is to plan the vacation around STREETview... every day searching for that ✨ultimate photograph ✨you never really know which one is going to give you that 5 million views ...are the {{{hundred million views }}} Ha ha ha 🙃but every single day you go out there ...this app will keep you focused, it’s ..it’s fascinating ,it’s absolutely fascinating and surprisingly it’s becoming easier to operate it’s easier to upload 360 photos from your telephone from your go Pro them or whatever device you use it is evolving into a very useful partner🙌✨🙌.Version: 2.13.3

You do not need to upload to Google Maps! You can export photospheresI was looking all over for an iOS photosphere app and I read on Reddit that this app might be the best one for iOS. I was afraid that the only way to export/share a photosphere taken with this app was to upload to Google Maps. This is not so. You can save the photosphere privately to your camera roll. You can view view the photosphere simply by saving it to Google Photos on any device..Version: 2.17.2

No Dot!!Well. I’m angry. For a while now, off and on, when I go to take a new 360 photo, no dot appears. None whatsoever. I reinstalled the app. Upon doing so, the error persists — still no dot, and without that, I can’t initiate the process of taking a photo sphere. Google, it seems, does not bother uploading any of your private 360 photos, the unpublished ones. I have now lost years’ worth of private photos and as far as I know have no way of retrieving them. I think I manually downloaded *a few* of them..Version: 2.17.3

The industry standard13 Jun 2019 update: images work again, so it’s actually usable again. If anyone at Google reads this: thanks for the fix! 15 May 2019: Not sure when user-submitted spherical views stopped working, but I get nothing but black screens and spinners in this app and when looking at images in Google Maps, both on my iPhone and iPad (iOS 12.2 and 12.3). I see others with the same issues when searching the Google support pages, including those using brand new Windows laptops (running IE, Chrome, and Firefox). No solutions in anything I found. Only place I’ve seen user-submitted images work is when accessing through the Safari app on iOS (a very clunky workaround at best). Will increase my rating and update this review when resolved..Version: 2.13.3

Lots of gunk on my tiny screenI have a phone with a small screen. Their mandatory tabs on the bottom take up about 30% of the screen, and the stuff on top takes another 20%. And the mandatory stuff on the bottom is usually stuff I don’t want. The only reason I use this app is to make spherical pictures. The interface is unenviable but I don’t know of any other app that takes and stitches spherical pictures..Version: 2.15.1

Just show me what I typed in!Hey, Google If I type in an address. I just want you to get the street view in front of that house. Don’t suggest near by homes or anything else. Why would you not just put me, the little orange man, and my screen directly in front of the address I input? I get it, this is a first world problems rant and I should just let this go. It’s let go. Thank you for this platform to get silly things off my chest. I still like the app because I can’t do what satellites can do. 3 stars..Version: 2.13.3

Am I missing something?I used to be able to save these photos to my phone but since this last time I updated, I can’t find that option. Since the name of the app overlaps with other google services, it’s hard to find help online with it. Wish it wasn’t called street view..Version: 2.13.1

I’ll take Street View for 1000 AlexBest Invention since the Rand McNally road maps that sat in the glove box of vehicles across the country in the 90’s😳😜😂... I would like to know if you will be creating a 360 video application with ability to capture the footage and actually be able to upload from an iOS device? Versus having to purchase a device just to upload 360 video..Version: 2.13.3

App crashes on iOS 11.0.3I love this app for its ability to take sort of flawless 360 photos. I have been using it very frequently on my iPhone for the past few months. All of a sudden this app started to freeze and became unresponsive and finally crashes after a few minutes. Hoping that Google will push an update soon with a fix..Version: 2.13.0

Very good but,,,,I use the app to post images of my local area and soon I will post images in other areas. The app allows me to upload my 360 degree images but if I try to connect them into a tour no matter what I do or how many attempts I make to connect the images I get an error message that says an unspecified problem has arisen and I should try again. This is very disappointing and frustrating. I have qualified as a Trusted Google photographer and am very keen to consolidate my work with “Tours” to connect with google maps etc. I read other users have similar problems. I do appreciate the complexity of the programming but hope a resolution is found ASAP. Thanks Google for a great app and let it continue to develop and achieve bug free status !!!.Version: 2.15.1

Great app, recent issuesGreat app and I love being a contributor! Three stars because the app doesn’t seem to interface with iOS 13 or iPhone 11 very well - not sure which is the culprit. Phone “stares” at the red dot for an extended period of time and never takes the picture. Sometimes you can complete a photo sphere but often you have to revisit the same dot several times - even if it turns white often it won’t take a picture..Version: 2.15.1

It’s cool but not on I padI used this on a i pad and I could hardly even use the app. It’s because some blocks randomly stack up then cover the whole screen. When you click the search tab then something comes up and then you have to press got it hen it will do that again but you can’t even see the got it button so then you have to close the app I do not recommenced for I pad it even said it’s good for I pad and I phone..Version: 2.16.1

Great app for iPhone! This application runs real great on iPhones, can make great 360 pictures an it easy to use. But will b great if you guys can work on an application for the iPad Pro, it’s seems like I’m using in a mobile. And also you guys can take advantage of th LiDAR scaner on this iPads, maybe adding one features for this one..Version: 2.16.1

The app is crashingThe app is actually pretty good. However it keeps crashing and makes me lose my progress. When I put the Save to Album button on and started to work, it crashed. I did the photos again and it won’t let me put them in my Google Drive. That’s because the button was off even though I turned it on. Please fix this!!!.Version: 2.13.3

Bring back Cardboard support!Earlier this month, they removed Cardboard VR functionality with absolutely no fanfare, just a simple statement tacked on to the end of the release notes. As long as there’s no other app that lets me view my photo spheres in VR, this is indispensable functionality, and I’m very annoyed that it was EOLed. If you want to move that to another app, that’s fine, but don’t simply remove it entirely....Version: 2.17.2

Image quality reducedOn iPhone XS Max getting maximum 6 megapixel using street view's camera. I have been using this app for few years with different phones. Never faced this issue. Also exported sphere photos are very small (800px width). Previously with 6S image was of 40+ megapixel and on with Galaxy S9 plus got 50+ megapixel. This is a great app, please fix it..Version: 2.13.3

I really appreciate this App & it’s easy useAs a Brain Injury Survivor, I have a hard time remembering directions. So with the ease of using Google Streetview, I can easily “walk through “ the area before I get there & pick out Landmarks or buildings so I can orientate myself better. Thanks Google..Version: 2.13.3

Google street appI don’t have a whole lot to say other then it’s really cool to see what different parts of the world looks like..Version: 2.13.3

My review! This was very helpful and I loved that you could travel to many places, but if it is possible, to make the looking distance longer!!.Version: 2.17.3

Being able to go back in time. The desktop version allows you to see how and area has changed over time. But the mobile version lacks this and I really see no reason..Version: 2.13.3

Looking good!!The streets never looked so good..Version: 2.12.1

1220 Dupont St. Toronto OntarioPictures of the Building is very clear..Version: 2.14.1

I like it, but broken now on iOS 16.I like using this app, but now broken..Version: 2.17.3

Take advantage of the ultra wide camera pleaseThat would reduce the number of photos that need to be taken considerably and would encourage more captures..Version: 2.17.3

Cardboard support removed 🙁The best thing in this app for me was the ability to take photospheres then view them in Google Cardboard. Much more fun than scrolling the image around on the screen. Removing that seems like a huge step backwards..Version: 2.17.2

Great app but ....This app does not work to take a 360 photo with my iPhone 6 Plus with iOS 12.4.8. The dot never appears so no photo are shot. I am using the app with a more recent iPad and it works great.Version: 2.17.2

👍👍🏻👍🏿👍🏽这真是太给力啦!!!What a stunning work!.Version: 2.17.3

Shut up hatersThe best app. Shut up haters.Version: 2.17.3

Is this app getting deleted?Google tours is getting deleted for June 2021 is this app getting deleted as well?.Version: 2.17.2

👍👍👍👍👍❤️👍👍❤️😍.Version: 2.17.2

Needs some workAs a tool for taking and uploading photo spheres to Google Maps, this app feels neglected. - The mechanism to assign photos to maps listings seems buggy. - The ultra-wide camera on the iPhone 11 Pro is not taken advantage of when capturing photo spheres..Version: 2.17.2
