Good but not for beginnersThere’s no “sort by difficulty”. I’m just starting out and was hoping to quickly find some licks to ramp me up in other directions but I have to watch/view each one to get a sense of its difficulty. Nice toolI would recommend this to any beginning picker, especially someone who learns by both tab and by ear. For the price it's a no-brainer. Try finding an instructor who will give you the time to learn 30 licks for $2! It isn't fancy, but does the job. Tab is available for every lick, there is an audio clip that plays at full speed to hear what it should sound like, and there is a video clip that plays the lick (like the picture in the advertisement- with shots of both hands) at a slower tempo. One bit of criticism is that the camera is a little off of the subject in some of the videos. It doesn't seriously affect the lesson but I would urge the developer to pay attention to that in (hopefully) future updates?.Version: 1.01

An excellent appI am a beginning banjo player and since there are no teachers out in this area of Texas, I have been forced to teach myself. Honestly my progress has been agonizingly slow, until now. Great app, needs more contentThis is a great app that is easy to use and makes a lot of sense. Since I bought it day 1 I'm hoping they continue to add content. Videos, tabs and sections broken down into licks is a great banjo app! Like to see it from basic to the "hot licks" eventually. Again, very good (if not the best) functioning banjo app out there. I'm pretty advanced but even I find some use from this. Great job! Only got a 4 star due to lack of content! Please add a section where the community can upload things, or a website community page to do that..Version: 1.0
Wow super helpfulIt's really hard to find good learning material for the banjo especially in the beginning. This is an extremely helpful tool that not only teaches you good licks in a usable fashion but is also giving you a history of songs and how licks are used in them.Version: 1.1.2
