Long time user, have worked through some issues. Patience requiredI like minhub. I have been using minhub youth for years. I have had some struggles with support over the years, however context is important. This app is run as a side gig by one man. Yes, I waited a while and had to try a couple of different avenues to finally get help. But the app developer himself reached out and personally helped with my problem through a zoom call and multiple emails and different layers of a problem. To me, its worth sticking it out because I have found no other app that does what this one does..ChevyskylarkVersion: 3.0.2

Good App. Could be better.Essentially, this is a great app. It is very easy to take attendance and at quick glance view how many students attended an event. It has definitely made taking attendance so much easier for me, plus the students love that I have their picture, birthday, etc. in the app. In my opinion this app would be so much better if there was a way to be able to see who was absent in each individual event (instead of having to make this a filtered group). There are filters to view absences of past events, but it would be great to be able to see this withing the events. Having to switch to different screens and search different things would make it so much easier. My recommendation is to make it where, within an event you can click to see all attendees and click to see all those who did not attend. This would make follow up so much easier! Second recommendation is to be able to add "adult leaders." I would love to be able to just have an adult added without having a "login" screen for them and having to have them labeled as "staff.".BdriversVersion: 1.6.2

Love this appThis is the best app I’ve found for communicated with parents and teens as well as tracking involvement. Been using for several years now and there have been a few issues, but the customer service has been wonderful and all issues fixed quickly! Getting better!I gave this app three stars a little over a year ago, and since then they have really improved! Being able to use the app across multiple devices (including the iPad) at the same time was a must before I would consider using it, and now they have syncing capabilities via Dropbox AND it is now iPad UI friendly. I LOVE the idea of being able to record a "ministry moment". They're still working out some bugs and looking to make further improvements, but this app is now worth EVERY PENNY (especially if you're an iPhone user)..BillthemitchellVersion: 1.5.1

StokedHadn't used this app in over a year (when it was called Youth Ministry Tracker), but just updated it, and LOVE the improvements! Have now experimented with it and looked through every utility and option- just amazed at its thoroughness. I can already tell it will be a great tool in connecting and organizing my team, my youth and parents, as well as keeping track of attendance and contact info (being able to share such in PDF format and import data from excel will be huge for me). It is finally much more than just an attendance tracker, but a tool for collaboration and connection... Helpful and exciting for those like me who have struggled in (but continued to work at) maturing their ministries into a team approach rather than solo. (With the ability for other connected leaders in my ministry to also access and update the data, even keeping up with this database doesn't have to be a lonely effort!) WOW!I rarely, if ever, go out of my way to review and App, but MinHub Youth is an exception. The guys behind this app have worked hard to give Youth Pastors an App tailored to assist with the most frustrating aspects of youth ministry. As a youth director in only my 2nd year of student ministry, my groups are not large. In fact, they are pretty small. And yet I have found such excellent use for this app. It totally lives up to the designers' hope that it would serve useful for both large and small ministries. I can not recommend this App highly enough to youth leaders. Incredible PotentialThis app has huge potential to be an incredible aid to any youth pastor. I believe that the makers of this app truly have youth pastors in mind (because they are youth leaders themselves). I have used this app for the past 3 times that we have met and it has increased my ability to connect with new students while collecting their data to keep in contact with them later. This app helps me "close the back door" of our ministry by helping me remember who has not been to church recently and invite them back. YM can be extremely hectic and this allows me to build relationships better and remain on top of administrative headaches. What a blessing!I've been in ministry for 18yrs and have always struggled with follow up, attendance and learning names. This app is a game changer for me. We had a student come this past Wed that has visited several times but I've never connected with her or learned her name. This Wed she came and we had her add her info on the iPad through MinHub App and that night, I sent her a text through the app thanking her for coming and she immediately replied. I also know her name (first and last). I was also able to quickly see the youth that have not attended in two weeks and sent them a text to let them know we missed them. Must have for Student Ministry!I’ve been in student ministry for over a decade and this the best thing I have ever found to take attendance. Sure there are more expensive programs you can use but they cost a lot more and they don’t have the convenience of it being on your iPhone or iPad. It’s great to have that database of all my students with me at all times. Plus if you’re like me and you struggle to remember peoples names it helps by having their photo with their name, like a cheat sheet before students show up for youth group. The developers also do a great job of listening to user feedback and updating the app to reflect that input. Needs search!I've used this app since its launch and love it. I've even bought it for all of my youth workers so that they could have access to student information, take attendance, create custom groups, etc. I use it to send messages to specific groups and to be sure I have all of the students' and parents' data with me all the time... It NEEDS search capabilities for phone numbers and birthdays however... Since I send out mass messages using the app, I don't have all of the phone numbers in my contact list... So if a student replies (or someone else who now has that number... Which happens more often than I thought possible) I don't know who the person is when they ask questions (or ask me not to message them anymore). If o could search, that would be HUGE! Also, when multiple students have birthdays on the same day it notifies me I have X students with birthdays today... Not helpful really. Sometimes I like to know who has birthdays for a specific month - SEARCHING would be HUGE!! I've emailed these requests... nada... Just what I've been needingThis app is incredible! Since it's designed by a youth pastor, he knows just what I need to keep track of and is working to develop the app more and more to accommodate the many demands of a database system like this...attendance, family contact info, groups, the ability to call/text/email right from the app, etc. The most recent version has added some super helpful layers. One of the best youth ministry apps out thereLove the app. It has a ton of features that, and I haven't even tapped into its potential yet. Awesome to have pictures available for our volunteer leaders and pastors alike. Great to have birthdays to connect with them on that day. Easy to add new people in just a couple minutes. Great appI liked the app prior and I really enjoy the new app updates. The app is becoming a very useful and powerful tool at an very reasonable price. The only reason I am 4 staring the app instead of 5 is that you recently mentioned the new upgrade would auto graduate seniors but I would still like to keep them in the database but just in a different category for college or young adults. Fantastic Ministry Tool-MUST HAVE APPThis is a wonderful app that I have been using for almost a year now. It keeps perfect records of attendance and at the same time helps me learn everyone’s name with a pictured face! Support is great and very responsive. Very Important Ministry ToolThis app offers a great way to track students and follow up with those that miss. I love the built in texting feature. The graph breakdowns are useful to understand your group better. I agree with another review, there needs to be a way to track event payments and shirt sizes. This app is amazingI’m a leader in my local youth group and this app has made taking an attendance a breeze. I love the fact it keeps track of birthdays , and the ability to text from the app. My only issue with it is certain things make it crash. One of my leaders needs to reset his password but every time i approve it in app it crashes . Also happens when I try to add certain min moments to students. Would love to see these bugs fixed ! BY FAR THE MOST SOLID DATABASE FOR YOUTHStaying connected with parents and teens is vital to the success of any youth group. This app single handily covers all the bases. Very good!Other youth databases that I have used don't have native apps. This app solves that issue for me. This app allows all my information about the students to be there with me all the time in a very clean and portable way! Amazing, but could use some additions!I want to start off by saying that I use this app multiple times a week! I am a youth pastor and it has been extremely helpful at maintaining consistent attendance! I also really enjoy the most recent update! However, one thing that I would like to see added is the capability to add notes to an event. For example, when I take attendance for a Wednesday evening service, I would like to add a note saying how many students were new, a note about worship set lists, or anything of the sort. Worth it for me for sure.I am part on a smaller church. We do not have lots of resources for a church database software... All I was looking for was something I could add image and names and then keep attendance with. I love this app because I can keep up to date on my stats of who's coming and who's not. The ability to create groups and smart groups is a must. Adding checklist items for certain groups like those going to camp this is great. I do wish they would add the ability to add custom fields so I can keep things like T-Shirt size and allergies in information. But all in all it's not a deal breaker. The Filtering is a much needed addition to searching and knowing your group better. A Youth Ministry Must!A great app for any youth ministry. If you are trying to see growth in your ministry this app is a must. The new Dropbox feature makes this app so useful. You can now sync accounts on multiple devices without all the struggle of iCloud. With the other apps coming on board soon I know this will just get better. Ewwwww it's okayI use it for attendance and it has great uses I just feel it is lacking in many areas. The app sync with Dropbox is unreliable. It does and then doesn't work. The app is great for one device but when you have a couple people working to minister to kids and could help with attendance it fails to help. Text portion works partially. Sometimes get errors. Overall I like it. I believe it has a great future.... I just don't know how close that future is. Other Platforms DesiredSo far, I like what I see but being limited to my phone is really frustrating. I would like to be able to use my Macbook, iMac, or iPad. I also agree about being able to since with contacts. That would take less time than tracking down each student to get their information all over again. I love the fact that my leaders have a picture, so if they do not know all the students, they can still figure out who is there. I just hand them my iPhone and they can take attendance. Best info gathering interface I’ve seenI have been in a few different settings with different sized groups and had opportunities to use other check-in software and none came close to the user experience that MinHub has. I keep coming back to MinHub because of the excellent data collection and check in interface. It is an intuitive design that Students can easily navigate and as enjoyable as a data entry interface can be. Though there have been some issues with updates and responsiveness in the past, the team is active and quickly responsive to resolving issues and hearing suggestions. Great App!!!We have used this app every week for the past 6-8 months and we love it. When we started using it we had 12-15 we are now hitting 25-30 (not crediting that to the app) being able to track that and all the info about the students (parent info, age, grade, absences,etc.)that this app allows you to track has been so beneficial to us as a team. Great idea, poor execution.This app crashes or stops working quite often. Every six months or so our passwords won’t work. Also, what’s the point of tracking data if you don’t have easy access to reports? Everything one can do within the app is harder than it should be… also why can’t two users take attendance at the same time??? Wish I could use it...Really want to use this app because there is nothing like it available. It has the potential to be a game changer. However, if you have a youth ministry with more than a handful of students and have multiple leaders it is simply unusable unless multiple people on multiple devices can input data that will sync to one central place. It is counterproductive to have multiple leaders all inputting student data on multiple devices if that data can't be received on my database. Also, it would be extremely helpful if there was a computer based site where we could disseminate this data as well. ReviewI reported a problem to tech support on November 8, 2018 and got a response saying that there would be an update hopefully in a week with a resolution. I had a paid subscription for just over a month and wasn’t even able to use it because the app couldn’t get past the profile creation stage. I canceled the subscription after waiting a month for a solution. I got an email from tech support on September 19, 2019, about 10 months after my initial report was submitted, stating that there was an update to the app and it may have fixed issue. Unfortunately, I don’t even have the app installed anymore. I wish the app well and hope it does great things. However, I’m very disappointed with the customer service and that our ministry wasn’t even able to test the app’s capabilities..ADAMFADAMVersion: 2.1

Great idea poor syncingThis app is a great idea. Our kids love putting in their pics and info. The trouble for us is that no matter what we do, this app will absolutely not sync through our active Icloud account to our other devices. We have removed the app and reinstalled several times with no success. The app seems to be syncing, but no data or pics ever appear. The instructions on the Internet say you can export the data, but inside the app there is no clear way to do this. And if you do that, can you re-import all the data if you remove the app and reinstall? If the Icloud sync issues can be resolved, I think this app has lots of potential. Worst customer service everThis app began as a dream. Touch screen sign in, easy to find parents, etc. Since there were updates that caused you to lose all of your info multiple times, Which in the life of a student ministry is crippling. The worst bit of Minhub is the customer service. You can wait up to a month or more for a response. They have twitter and email but that doesn’t seem to matter. I recently lost all of our addresses from our database and it has now been. 5 weeks and have not gotten even an inclination that they wish to help. I only leave this review to say as a pastor I beg you don’t purchase this app with money your church has given towards Gods mission in your city, it will cause you so much grief..Matt from OhioVersion: 1.6.4

Love this APP but.....I bought this App about 2 months ago to streamline attendance and communication with students. It worked great for a few weeks, but then somehow I got logged out. I have tried and tried to log back in to no avail. I have reached out via Twitter to the administrator and had almost no response. After 4 or 5 times of contacting them with no response and no resolution has been very disappointing. It’s now been over a month since I’ve been able to use the App. There’s been zero effort on the company’s part to reset my password or help me get in the back end. Maybe one day .. with some polishSo, every ministry is different and has different needs, so trying to create an app that is flexible for every ministry is naturally going to be difficult. I will say to Minhub’s credit - they are trying to meet the needs. That being said, for us it was becoming too much trouble. If all you need is an app where you can enter in kids’ and leaders’ data, track their attendance, put faces to names and send out group emails and texts, then this will work for you. BUT, if you need to record a students’ address, you can’t ... if you need to have your database seemlessly sync with an iPad or another leader’s device, it might, sometimes, when it wants to .... if you want to integrate your current database, good luck. For these reasons, we had to move on to something else. I will say, though, that for a smaller ministry that’s getting started, I could see it still being beneficial..John_clevVersion: 1.6.4

HorribleWas once a great app that I even purchased it for my ministry it is such a nightmare now. I can't even migrate because of the update. I was told by support my data may not be recoverable. I'm gonna lose everything? Not just that but there's no backup of my data & now they are saying they are gonna charge a monthly fee? I paid for this app about 2-3yrs ago... Why do I have to now pay a monthly for it & my data is unrecoverable. This is Disappointing and want my money back for the cost of all my data being lost. Not much different than regular contactsIt is nice that the app can take attendance and list events and even text students. However it's not a true group messaging app. You still have to click send for every student in the group. Even if you only have 25 students, you still have to click 25 times on the send button. Also it would be nice to be able to add a section to write notes about a student like if they have any allergies or behavior to watch for.
