Revised reviewI would like to thank the developers for the information and suggestion about the data options setting. Although I did change the data options, I changed it from All (apparently the default) to METAR. Instantly the reported temperatures for the locations I have set fell into line with official data sources for these locations. I have always liked the layout of AerisPulse. Now that the temperature issue is resolved I am once again enjoying AerisPulse. Hence the increase from 3 to 5 stars. Might not make sense to anyone but me, but that is okay. Previous comments: This app presents temperatures that frequently are several degrees off from other weather apps and reporting services. Too, it has been over ten months since an update was issued. Excellent and Reliable ... why so overlooked?This is really a fine iPhone weather app. Aeris displays a great deal of information in a small space. The landing screen includes text of current conditions or outlook, as well as graphic markers for alerts and in-bound threatening weather. Swipe up, and Aeris displays detail for today and five days ahead. Tap a day and drill in. This is what I like about Aeris: good detail, logically arranged, and no space-filling graphic animations “showing” what I probably already know. Yes, that it’s raining outside. Doh. Beyond that, their forecasts are at least as good as all the other players. I’ve experienced them as slightly better than the Wunder-focused products, and about the same as DarkSky. YMMV, some of this may just be about location and data availability. On the down side, radar can be a little slow in loading and some of the features like “future radar” will cost you. I’ve paid the price because I like the feature and find value for the price. I’ve tried the rest and they all have a place. Sometimes I use them for a month or so. DarkSky gets a run every once and a while. But I keep coming back to Aeris. It’s worth your time..FranknsVersion: 1.6.3

Accurate but not intuitiveI purchased this App because of its accuracy, but what I didn’t realize was how clunky the user interface is. Why, for example, should we have to tap on the location to get to layers? Should be available on start page. And why should we have swipe down (who knew?) to get other locations. That, too, should be available as a sub menu on the start page. And why do we have to swipe to get settings page (discrete icon, upper left), which is 2 clicks in?? Crazy. And swipe functionality is super stingy. Regularly have to swipe a 2-3 times to get to locations page. These are quibbles, but they play into ease of use, and when I’m driving and want a quick look at where I’m going (as opposed to where I am), I don’t want to have to search to find what I’m looking for. All that said, if you want accurate precipitation forecast, look no further. This is the most accurate out there. If they can just improve their GUI, they’ll get 5 stars from me..EclatVersion: 1.7.2

Great weather appAeros Pulse has all the readings that a weather nerd would love. Select as many locations as you like. And if you are traveling around the country it will follow you so you don’t have to set up new locations. Daily forecasts for one week ahead, hourly forecasts for 24 hours ahead. Best feature, IMHO, is the built-in radar with zoom in and out. You can view just your location or the entire country. Radar shows storm movement from the previous two hours. Also shows warnings (storms, fire, winds, temperatures) No ads. It’s the best weather app I’ve come across, bar none..JDPsliceVersion: 1.8.2

A very good weather appI just ran across this app about a month ago and just can't seem to let it go. The alerts have been good and the weather is as accurate, or more, than the others I've used. I've got a hazardous weather alert active right now that other apps I have don't even mention! I am going to read up more on Aeris. They do have a good weather app!! Almost PerfectHave used for about a week and…This is an intuitive and easy to use weather app. It’s simple interface is clean and informative. The weather results appear to be accurate. I would be using AerisPulse exclusively and ditching all other weather apps if not for its one shortfall…it does not return a comprehensive list of smaller towns when performing a search. For example, it won’t find Death Valley CA or La Verkin UT. Instead you have to try multiple other towns in the general search area to get a weather reading nearby. If Aeris Weather fixes this one shortfall they could have the perfect weather app. But it’s still great..GdmrceVersion: 1.8.0

Minor issueThe app looks great... when it works. I have a problem pertaining to the startup i.e. it won't start up properly. When I open the app, it displays a white screen with a grey radiating circle. It stays on that screen for a while, and so I usually exit the app and re-enter. That usually doesn't solve the problem. Typically I have to exit the app, close it, and then restart it three or four times before it finally functions properly. Note: I tried clicking the circle, and it opened the radar map, but when I click the X to exit, it takes me back to the white screen with a radiating circle..MidwestindiefolkVersion: 1.4.3

Most thorough weather appI first downloaded Aeris Pulse ahead of a cross-country road trip so we’d be well informed of storms. I appreciate the alerts as well as the many map layer options. Somehow free version better than paidI really like the free version and find it somewhat more reliable than other weather apps for precipitation accuracy. So, I decided to upgrade to the paid version to add future radar. It shows almost no information at all. Just some jerky colored splotches. I expected it to be more like the Weather Channel app (free version) in how it displays the future, but more accurate. I would have gladly paid the annual fee for useable info, but as it is, I immediately cancelled so I don’t accidentally pay for it again..Kimber8888Version: 1.9.0

5-day precipitation forecast accuracy is laughable3-day forecast is good. Gets ridiculous after that. Nice app, though. Simple. Great map. And a new (to the app community) forecast source, which could be a breath of fresh air. Two days ago it forecast 15 inches of snow over a period of three days starting tomorrow. Other forecasts had a couple of inches. 15 would have been an all-time record breaker for Portland, OR. Now, two days later, is agrees with all the others and there will be very little snow. Weather Model Too FastThe weather model scrolls by too fast, even when the slow option is picked. There is no way to stop the scrolling forecast so I can examine the map more closely. The developer is making an effort to add a stop animation option for the next release. Where’s the updates???This app is great! There are a few things that could/should be updated... the radar load time is super slow and really there isn’t a big reason for it. So it’s just accurateThe app is really accurate, but that’s kinda it. The precipitation makes me...😬. It shows a 5% chance of precipitation and it shows thunderstorms. No data provided during stormGot app two days ago. Big believer in Paul Douglas. The storm crossing MN tonite intersected our path to WC MN. The Aeris App stoped updating and screen turned white while dithering the circle endlessly. Never got it to work including after the storm passed by a couple hours. Had to delete App and reinstall. Now it works again. My KSL and Storm app worked through the storm. We were not in the eye but in the direct path. I hope it’s a temporary glitch. Nonexistent NotificationsI downloaded this app to get lightning notifications. I paid for the extra subscriptions to get the notifications. The only notifications I see are when I open the app. This app is useless. Don't waste your money on the subscription services. They don't add any functionality to the app or its notifications.
