My fave, but NEEDS RADAR FIXED- not working!Please, please, PLEASE FIX THE RADAR! Is anyone else out there with problem of the radar not working? Doesn’t work, no matter what I do, even rebooting my phone doesn’t do it! I am and always have been a weather nerd all of my life, so i can assure you, I use my WeatherNerd app to its full extent dang near everyday! And it’s easy-to-use format is the best! I can find any info I need at a glance! (for instance, I look at barometric pressure to determine my pain level and to help control my headaches; yes, I do that, it helps me stay ahead of my ‘stuff’.) I use a lot of the stats for a lot of reasons, if not to just satisfy my nerdy side! But I also need the radar like everybody else, and I’m so tired of trying out or downloading all the other weather apps and playing around with them just to find out I don’t like them at all, and delete, delete, delete! Finally an update!! Yes!!!Thank you, thank you, thank you for not abandoning this amazing app!!! This was, is now again and probably will always be my favorite weather app! You can see so much at one time in a simple graph format. Your brain processes images much faster than words and this weather graph really gives you all you need to know in a quick moment! I like the layout of the different tabs. I really love the yesterday’s weather function to compare yesterday to today! I also love the weekly graphs to quickly see the upcoming week ahead. I love the ability to quickly access different locations as well. The amount of customization is beyond amazing! Everyone can customize it to how they like it. Whenever my friends see me use this weather app, they always ask what it is. I tell them the name and recommend it to them. And now since I know it’s being updated again, I will continue recommending it to my friends and family. I plan to get an iPhone X soon and can’t wait to see this amazing app on there! Graph format for the win!!Second Edit: This is still by far the best weather app on the App Store!!! Please update it so that apple doesn’t wipe it away in their scrub of the store!! Edit: iOS 14 broke the widget, it just says request timed out. Please add Home Screen widget functionality! I used to use wunderground, but their latest redesign destroyed the usability of their interface and presented the weather in an extremely confusing format. They seem to have no intention of fixing it. In my search for a weather app that worked I found weather nerd, and I am so happy I did! The interface is clean and presents all of the days pertinent info in an easy to read graph. There’s also a great widget! I only have one qualm, and it’s not even for the weather portion of the App. There’s a secret game called nerd ball (it exists, have fun finding it!) and it is extremely hard to control the paddle it won’t just move with my finger as I drag, it only moves in tiny steps with taps. Good weather app, but...I’ve been using WN on my iPhone for years, and like it a lot. Well worth the modest annual subscription fee. However, I have a few peeves about it: 1. Although a number of reviewers mention WN as a top weather app for Apple Watch, I can’t seem to find a way to load it on my watch (Series 4, with latest watch OS). Which brings me to my second gripe: 2. I can’t seem to find any user guide available, and the FAQs are very limited. Nor is there a way to contact the developer for help, as far as I can see. 3. This is one I’ve been wondering about for as long as I’ve been using this app: the probability of rain listed at the top of a daily forecast doesn’t generally match the graph of rain probabilities throughout the day. Does the overall number mean probability that it will rain at SOME point during the day, and the graph indicate the probability at a given time? Or am I misinterpreting this? Almost greatI like this app. It is replacing for me the now defunct and incredible Crisp Weather. I wish the rain level on the weekly view were not presented the way they are. They fill up the bucket of temperature range for the day. This is misleading because some days have small ranges of temperature and the bucket looks smaller than others with large range of temperature. It should just present a graph og water starting from the bottom like it does on the daily views. One major issue is this version does not present the widgets at all under iOS 14.6. Fantastic appI think I have tried every weather app out there, and I don’t know how I missed this one for so long. It’s finally an app I want to keep. The design is intuitive and attractive so you can really see what you need at a glance. The information is detailed and accurate if you want to dig deep. The “Today” widgets (there are three of them, although I only use two) are quite useful. I had a problem when I first installed the app where the widgets weren’t working, I emailed the developer, and he got back to me right away. Within a few days he released an update that fixed the problem completely. If you are looking for an excellent weather app, don’t waste your time with the ones that are free or ad-powered. Good app seemingly abandonedRight off the bat, this is a great weather app. I love the way combines data visually and overlays your appointments to give a clean, concise view of the situation. That said, it hasn't been updated in nearly a year. Ordinarily, this wouldn't be too unexpected--you can hardly expect unlimited future development for a small, one time fee but... this is a subscription app. If I'm paying an annual fee, I expect updates more than once a year. Things like start up speed and the lack of a way to change the tiny text keep me from using this as my primary app. Until the developer makes updates, I'll use Weather Line as my daily driver and reconsider continuing my subscription for this app..Ksmith80209Version: 2.1

Nice appThis is a nice change from other apps. (and I have many) I’ve been on a quest for the perfect app for years now. I know I’m not the only one on that mission. Best I've triedI love this app for weather. I paid the first time with the intention of it being a one-time thing, but yet a found myself renewing over and over again. Like a lot of people, I downloaded a bunch of weather apps to decide which to keep. This was the winner. I love the accuracy. I love being able to see what is happening in the next hour. Several times I have been out with family or friends and it's started to rain. While they were all ready to pack it up, I was able to check the app and see that the rain will stop in 8 min. CrashingI love the graphics in this app, but it’s time for an update. Crashes repeatedly since the latest IOS update. Update: Within a week of my last review, Weather Nerd began to crash each time it opened. After some investigation I found that the problem was access to the calendar. If this happens to you, turn this feature off in Settings - WeatherNerd - Calendar. Just toggle the Calendar slider and the app will open, but without displaying your calendar events. Has everything going for it but..........Weather Radar needs updating. Try looking at something like Wundergrounds Storm app. With all the details and info this app gives and then I have to look at a clunky radar that was good 5 years ago! 35 min span in 5 min increments. Not good enough to fit with the awesomeness of the rest of the app. Needs smoother scroll. 5min increments is good but do it over an hour or two. And have a future option of at least an hour out. The ability to scrub the radar to whatever point/time frame is also key. I'm cancelling my subscription until I see an update. This is my go to weather app, but …I love how the weather is displayed. Just from a glance I can get a whole picture of the current and forecasted weather for the day. The graphical data is truly formatted to be easily readable on a iPhone screen, and can be customized to show various aspects of the weather (eg. chance of rain, cloud cover, wind speed). Daily Graph Widget is KingIf I can’t see a line graph of cloud-cover, precipitation, and temperature for the whole day on the widget, then there’s no point. You must NEVER take that away. That’s why I left Wunderground. They changed their widget to be like everyone else’s, I wrote them a few grumpy emails and never heard back, so I deleted the app. It took months to find your app with one-day line graph widget. WN is OK - beware it's subscription basedMy biggest complaint about this app is that it's a sneaky subscription app. I had not idea when I bought it that after a year I would have to hand over more money. I think they changed the terms because I never remember seeing that. So the cost of the app only gets you one year! Aside from that, info is ok, I also have Dark Sky and they use the exact same wx info source, so I ended up just using that. You can even get their info for free now on a web based version, just as good as app (I'm not affiliated with the app, just a fan)..Mohio KVersion: 2.1

My favoriteI've tried a lot of weather apps and I always found that, if they contained a lot of nerdy information, I couldn't quickly find what I needed. OR, if it was good at giving me a quick overview of the day ahead it would be lacking in detail. I really feel that this app strikes a great balance: I can immediately get a good idea of what the day will be like, but it's really easy to dig deeper and get the geeky details. Radar brokenThis is a 5-star app that deserves only 3 stars now because: a) the radar quit working a LONG time ago (minus one star) and I’m pretty sure support for Weather Nerd has stopped completely (crickets from any help/support inquiries, thus next minus star). Nailed the nameI don't know why I have so many weather apps, but after using them all quite a bit, here is my assessment. Yahoo weather is my favorite casual weather app. Flick through the cities and get a general feel. Dark Skies is elegant. Very nice to look at. But Weather Nerd is the best if you actually want to know how the weather is going to be. It's an informer. Most comprehensive and valuable data in an awesome presentation. You can completely geek out over the weather in this tool. So close to perfect...This is what I've been searching for! Only one small thing that would make it perfect - it needs to have a widget that shows the current conditions. I can live without it since I have dark sky for the current temp widget then the three widgets from this app below it, but it'd be a nice thing to have. But besides that I wouldn't change anything. Pretty goodThe graph visuals provided are nice, and the accuracy is decent, but I have some improvements. First of all, the NWS advisories I get are often for the wrong location . I get advisories for my neighboring counties as well as my own. Also, the radar's color spectrum is off. I wish it was the standard green yellow red black pink purple gray color spectrum. Love this AppI like being able to quickly see the week at a glance to see the temperature and precipitation. When I select any of those days, it shows the temperature and precipitation over the hours, which is convenient for planning. It’s also easy to change the location as I travel. Version 3.9.1...My peeve with this is that none of the widgets tell you what the current temp is for your location. You are forced to fire up the full app and go to the “now” screen.. I want a widget that will allow a quick glance and I’m done but this doesn’t do that. I will probably not renew when it comes around unless something changes with the widgets. Great visualization widgetsI like this app for its widgets, which visualize how the temperature and weather will change over the day, instead of just listing numbers over time. However sometime in the past week, the widgets stopped working and say “the request timed out” after showing a spinner for several seconds. It's in the Presentation.I would imagine that all meteorological stations broadcast the same information to any apps that wish to use it. So, the differe nce between weather apps is pretty much in the presentation, and WeatherNerd took a new and different approach. Could be a Good weather app! ...Has great, detailed notification area widgets. But the fonts are too big and fat, which makes it harder to see all info visually all at once at a glance. Instead you have to focus a lot on the details individually to catch it. On the other hand it could be better for people with poor eye sight to have the fonts as big and fat as it is. The clould graph is almost useless. It would be better if it was executed better (maybe similar to the precipitation or wind graphics). Widgets stopped workingFor some reason, the widgets have stopped working. After a spinning ‘wait indicator’, it very faintly displays a ‘Request timed out’ message on a black widget window. This is still on iOS 13.6.1, so no changes to the phone or the app, seems like the weather info source isn’t working anymore. Also, the support request link on the App Store app page goes to a non-functioning page that then directs back to the app in the App Store, not very helpful. I like the Weather Nerd widgets, though I do find the forecasts not terribly accurate for my area, though I’ve also yet to find a weather forecast that is very accurate..MasterFRVersion: 3.9.62

I like seeing percents, but it uses a three tier scale that I don’t find easily interpreted. Perhaps when I get more used to it that will be more helpful. Great App but could use some more updatesI looked and looked before I settle on the Nerd, I'm happy with my choice and subscription cost, I would however, like to see upgrades. I have nothing but good things to say about the app. It has tremendous depth, a solid interface and all the info I'm looking for. I absolutely recommend this App. As to upgrades I'd like to see, the radar has a 30 minute loop. Why can't I choose the loop length? 60-90 minutes would be appreciated. NO WAY TO UNSUBSCRIBEI love the app and interface, but the radar/storm mapping has been broken for months. My subscription has been renewing automatically for as long as I was aware subscriptions were available. I see no way to connect with the developer except in a review, here. Website appears to be broken? When I checked the ‘manage your subscription” site, it appears to be broken. No way to change subscription. Dismayed to see all the negative comments here and lack of responsiveness. If the app is abandoned the developer shouldn’t be accepting payments. My next step is to report this to Apple. Lock Screen widgets stopped workingI’ve been using the app (happily) for years. Far and above my favorite weather app. However, I was only using it for the lock screen widgets and now those have stopped working about 3 weeks ago (even before the iOS 14 update). They just keep timing out. I’m paying for a subscription so it’s a shame that this essential item doesn’t work the way it used to. Please fix! I tried looking for a support email but couldn’t find any. I hope the developers of the app know this is an issue. Not impressedI’m looking for an app to replace weather underground but I guess this isn’t it. It has my location correct on the map but does not list the town accurately. The current temp appears to be off by about seven or eight degrees. And there does not appear to be any radar. SO I guess I’m still looking for a replacement. Apple Watch complicationsOver a year the watch has been out, no complications. Where are they? Also would like to see the current time on the weather graph darker. Hard to see the line for the current time/weather. Best of them, but useless after 6pm, when it goes to tomorrowI like that it doesn't have any of the cruft of the other weather apps. Clean UI. However, it thinks that “today” is over at 6pm. The widget says “today” but it displays tomorrow’s weather after 6pm. The switchover time could be an option, but isn't. It also doesn't show the current temperature in an easy to see way. So glitchy which is sad because it’s otherwise amazing!My app just stops working from time to time. I click it to open, and it just disappears. Flashes back to nothing. It’s be one thing if it did this once or twice, but I’d say at least every month or so it does this, and that’s over years of time and on different phones. So I just don’t get it. Totally wrong forecastThis the worst weather app I have used. It is 100% wrong 100% of the time. I am in Vancouver and it always give completely incorrect forecasts. For example it says it is raining and chance of rain all day when it it is perfectly clear with not a cloud in the sky. It says it is 28c when it is 14c. What is the best app but now seems to be abandonedI wrote this review with great sadness. This was the absolute best weather app out there. You could see temperature, precipitation, and wind speed all graphically all on one screen in the clearest possible way. It boggles my mind how no one else is doing this. Unfortunately, several other features of the apps seem to no longer be working. I can’t get a Doppler radar image to populate. I tried clicking app support, but there is no website. Great layout, need to update widgets and accuracyI used to love this app because of how the daily and weekly forecasts are laid out. They are easy to scan and compare so you can tell as the days get warmer/colder and the amount of precipitation. It’s the best UI that I’ve found for that.
