Good game with room for improvement.Considering this game is free, I give it 4 stars. Simple mechanics, just enough pitching and hitting control that it's not an arcade game, full stats, real rosters. It needs some improvement in the AI, sometimes the infielders take horrible routes to the ball. It has occasional fielding errors, needs to add throwing errors once in a while. Also needs to allow substitutions when you're on defense, as it is you can only pinch hit or bring in a relief pitcher, there's no way to make defensive substitutions. Just like the NES gameThe gameplay here is true to the original games on NES. The biggest differences are the updated rosters and improved graphics. One thing that would be the icing on the cake would be the ability to play with legendary players (Dennis Eckersley with the sidearm on the A's; the Bash Brothers, '92 Blue Jays, Mark Grace, etc.). Atari RBI Baseball did this in the past where you could play as the team that won each division from the past 4 years or so, and you could trade with those teams to make somewhat of a dynasty roster. Enjoyable!This gets 5 stars not because it's perfect, but because, of the other baseball games I've played on iOS (and PC) it's by far the least frustrating. You can adjust the difficulty down substantially and then crank it up as you get better. I like the fact that making contact with the ball is not overly difficult, but still challenging enough to be fun. One day someone will make a truly great baseball game for iOS, but in the meantime, this one is pretty darn good. And it has the potential to be even better if they continue to tweak it. Good but needs improvementsAfter playing for a bit, the game has grown on me. I find the simplicity of this classic is still fun to play. I also find though that there are not enough managing options and team customization options. I also was under the impression I could play with stars from the past, but found that not to be true. Overall the gameplay looks good. There is fairly fluid motion in the player movements. Some improvements could include the following: Starting pitchers can't get much further than the 6th inning. It's very difficult to steal or hit a triple. It's annoying that I can't adjust defense positioning or substitute defensively. And please...please change how the games are saved so that I can actually leave the game and play a different game without losing my progress on the one I saved. Good game, but a lot to improvePlayers doesn't have volume sometimes (so those trying to catch a foul territory fly ball can overlap) and has volume other times (Sao third baseman can block a runner from the bag for a second and get the force). The program for counting winning pitcher and saves is problematic. A reliever who came in with a large lead in 8th inning and never give up runs can be credited the win. Also, s reliever who came in with 5 runs can be credited the save. AI doesn't know how to tag up to score from sac flies. Worst A.I. EverOverall I would rate the game a 6 out of 10. Controls, rosters, and overall performance is good. I think the A.I. Needs some work. If your pitching and the batter hits the ball between the bases the 2nd baseman or SS runs backwards. When they need to go after the ball and run side to side. Even the out fields do this also it seems it does not register the ball until it hits the ground. So you better hope you get nothing but pop ups and strikes. Why?It's an okay overall game, but there are some things I don't like. On the base path, the runners do what I tell them to, but sometimes it goes past what I want them to. I went for a triple, got there safely, but the runner decided to go four. He was out, and I lost because of it. It has happened many times. Also, the AI in the field is terrible. Love it!!!I was debating whether to buy this one or the newest 2016. I read a lot of bad reviews on her 2016 including the file size. This is running on my iPad mini 2 and is running awesome! Fine for what it isThis game isn't worth the 20 they ask for, for consoles. On iOS, however, it's a fine value (Especially at .99). The only thing I could ask for that probably won't be there till 2016, is cloud save support. My only complaint is that it heats me iPhone 6S Plus up to the point that it’s uncomfortablly hot. Either I’ve got a defecetive iPhone or this game taxes the system so dramatically that I’m worried it will damage my iPhone permanently. Great game. Fixes needed after last updateAfter the last update several bugs have been introduced. Sometimes the camera doesn't pan following a fly ball. Other times, when the computer is assisting with fielding, they will run to the outfield wall, not towards the ball. It's a great game otherwise. Latest update fixed many issuesThe last update fixed almost all issues I reported in my last review. Maybe they actually read my review and listened? My previous review: One of the better baseball games on the App Store but developers, the following needs work: -AI needs improvement. Sometimes my shortstop will field the ball but the second baseman doesn't cover the bag. I throw it to second but it ends up in right field. Same when my first baseman fields a grounder. The pitcher should cover first but he sometimes stands there kinda close to the base and of course a throw goes toward the dugouts -Base runners advance on any error. Even if it's right beside them. If a batter hits a stand up double for example, and the throw comes in to 2nd base but he drops it, the runner blindly runs to 3rd. The 2nd baseman will simply pick up the ball and throw me out at 3rd easily -Pitchers get tired extremely quickly. A pitcher throwing in the high 90's will drop down to low 60's in 2-3 innings. -Often a grounder that is hit between the infielders causes the infielder to run straight out to the outfield. Sometimes past the outfielder fielding the ball. -If a batter gets beaned while swinging at a pitch, it is called a strike and no base is awarded I'm sure there's more that I can't remember..Aaron1003Version: 1.05

Epitome of basic; poster child for flaws and bugsIf you enjoy your pitcher never reacting to grounders —letting them literally roll through their legs, all the way to the wall in center field, having a pickoff feature that does absolutely nothing 100% of the time, depending solely on luck, hoping that its the random programming that will make the CPU swing for a strike, instead of your ability to 'fool' them in to doing so (The CPU will get like, 4-8 fouls in a row before giving up a strike), forcing you to almost always rely on pitching to contact, having no real control for batting, other than sliding up and down, and side to side (you can influence a fly ball by holding the swing button, but why would you ever do that when fielding errors are literally at LEAST 1/100 times since they'll chase the ball from half way across the field, and catch it when facing opposite direction of the ball while running, essentially meaning they have eyes on the back of their head that allow them to put their hand behind their backs to catch a ball, having your FPS perfect when 2 runners are on base, and then having your FPS drop by over 50% when bases are loaded (playing on iPad Air 2), having the ball bug out and roll off screen, and since you can't change the fixed camera, it leaves you helplessly watching as an easy double play turns into an infield home run, as well as dozens of other bugs and lacking, basic features.... Then this game is for you. ONLY giving 3 stars since it's the only actual baseball game on the AppStore, and it not having micro transactions..Str8boiVersion: 1.04

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENTI bought this game when it first came out hoping that I'd find the first good-quality MLB baseball game for my iPad. I've given it time since to receive updates and improve gameplay but it hasn't shown major improvement to me. The most disappointing glitch is after I go to another app and leave RBI 15 in the background of multitasking, the game either restarts , deleting my game data (regardless of if I saved or paused) or it actually saves - but when I return the computer recognizes me as the computer team instead of the team I was playing on as team 1. I really hope that either an update comes out FINALLY fixing all the issues or that RBI 16 has SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT otherwise, I want my money back AND I won't pay for another version of the same glitchy game!.Cole T. FrustratingI got my team 30-0 in the season and the game froze ,there is no way to go back just to the beginning of the of the game in which it freezes. I turned my device off turn it back on ,no help , still frozen so I uninstalled it reinstalled and started the season again this time I had my team 76-0 and guess what , yeah, it froze again . Update makes it unplayableSince the latest update the game is unplayable. If there's a hit to the outfield the outfielders run away from the ball and go strait to the wall and wait for the ball to roll to them. This happens on every hit. A routine fly ball that could be caught turns into a double since the player runs away and waits for the ball to roll to the wall before picking up. Also, couldn't complete my latest game as ball was hit into the corner for a single but the camera didn't move, it's stuck on home plate.
