Great app, but thankless staff I love Perplexity, its search-first approach makes it so much more useful than others. And access to literally all AI models from different labs is a unique feature. I loved when they added R1, works great, and it’s great that they made an uncensored version. But this absolutely thankless behaviour to throw Chinese people under the bus, nonsense propaganda against their government is disgusting. Worse with every update It was great when it came out. Now it is bloated with lots of stuff not really necessary for the core function of the app. I don't need low quality AI generated clickbait news stories on the front page. I don't need the news story tab at all... One super annoying thing is that Buttons are tapped as long as your finger touches the button (eg you can click stuff on accident when scrolling).. Has stopped replying In the beginning this was a great app. After some time it stopped working. One thing is that it is not possible to paste text into the search field. Gives wildly inaccurate answers with typical GPT confidence I asked questions about a bunch of people I know, and some of the answers were wildly wrong, yet presented with typical absolute chatGPT-ish confidence. My favorite answer was that I (as in, ME) was actually a dead husband of a famous Hollywood actress - and no, my and his name were not that similar. It got some questions right, but until the team curbs the ai hallucinations to minimum, I wouldn’t dare use it for anything else but fun.. Brianrkf Version: 2.10.1
