Love it BUT Easy to use, I can download media directly from my emby or plex server (have tried both). Only issue I have experienced is when you have downloaded a new file to your library and want to add it to your playlist you cant add to a existing list. Satisfactory I wanted to use it as a music player and it worked fine. Happy to find something that has no ads and has a clean interface. I downloaded mp3 files through safari and pasted the file to the vlc folder. Great App! Works great but has a few issues on the iPad: - Line on top (time and battery) show even in fullscreen. - Would be nice to be able to choose location for media. - Video files start from beginning when you close and then open again. Still not working after a long time with updates I can’t believe how this is still not working with smb2 after such a long time with numerous updates claiming to fix it. Still get the «empty folder» message on my apple tv’s even though shares are visible and working perfectly with infuse and file explorer. What gives? Støtter ikke .mp4 Har ventet på denne appen siden den ble fjernet forrige gang. Appen har et OK brukergrensesnitt og fungerer godt - i alle fall med enkelte filtyper. På iPhone 4 med iOS 6.1.3 og iPad med iOS 5.1.1 (begge med VLC for iOS 2.0.2) er det ikke mulig å spille av .mp4- filer. Det hakker som bare det, uavhengig av deblocking-instillingene. Terrible I only wanted to import a few mp3s from files to VLC. Turns out it didn’t work with most solutions. The one that did work was inside files on iOS, where I copied the files from one folder and pasted it in the VLC folder. BUT, when trying to playback most of the mp3s wouldn’t play, hanged or crashed the app. I turned on play audio in background but I can’t go to next track from the Lock Screen. The app is also generally very unstable and crashes a lot. This is not worth using, it’s sad because it’s SO MUCH BETTER on PC.... André Hansen Version: 3.2.13

Limited and buggy Now the sound from 3/4 of my files can't be played. Also, it crashed, and a popup came up on restart asking me if I wanted to submit a crash report. But none of the options can be selected, and the app is frozen by the popup despite restart and reboot!! Lousy code. Doesn’t work wit apple tv When streaming to apple tv, only the sound will be played from the tv while the movie is still showing on your phone. A known issue for more than two years that still haven been fixed renders this app useless for streaming. However, for watching a movie on the go, it gets the job done. But in 2020 having proper support for airplay shouldn’t be too much to ask. Oh, did I mentioned that it also no longer supports chromecast?. Katangen66 Version: 3.2.8

Distorted sound Some kind of dynamic range control or realtime normalization is kicking in when playing music files.
