You won't be leaving your computer behind any time soon, but sometimes it is faster to just fix things with the device in your hand.
When you do need to perform real work on iOS, Working Copy is a powerful tool. Editor has syntax highlighting for more than 50 programming languages and a built-in color picker. Preview images, Markdown and HTML files with a Javascript console pointing to errors in your code. Create new branches and merge or rebase them back, with a brilliant merge-tool for handling conflicts. If you need to automate your work there are Working Copy actions in the Shortcuts app for most operations.
Even if you never edit a line of code on iOS, Working Copy is a great companion for reviewing and discussing code. Repositories are cross indexed and with powerful fuzzy search you can quickly jump from a symbol to the declaration or reverse from the declaration to all usages. A graph of your commits lets you zoom out for a overview of the commit tree or zoom in for specifics about each commit, with speed and beauty you won’t find in desktop Git applications. Review the changes your files have gone through with a diff viewer that is great for text and images. There is even hex-dump mode for that obscure occasion.
Working Copy is a free download but you need to unlock pro features such as the ability to push commits and manage more than 5 repositories. There is no venture capital, large company or ads funding development and your support through in-app purchase directly sustains development. Try out pro features with a 10 day free trial.
When you pay to unlock you get permanent access to all pro features at the time of purchase as well as any added the next year. When 12 months have passed you keep all existing pro features but any new ones introduced are locked until you renew your unlock.

Repository search supports negative terms. Put a minus before a word to exclude files that match it, or wrap a word in quotes to search for that literal text. A new Refine Search menu, in a file's context menu and in editor search, lets you exclude a folder or file type, or require a particular file type.
Fixes an issue where large .sql files would be seen as binary when certain third-party apps are installed on the device.

Ask Repository Agent to browse files, search content, read and modify files, commit, pull and push. It works with external LLM services including OpenAI, Anthropic, Google and Ollama using your own API keys. Configure in AI Settings where AI features are opt-in per repository to avoid leaking sensitive information.
Repositories have icons auto-detected from project images and remote avatars. Tap the icon on the Status & Configuration screen to customize with another file from the repository, clipboard contents, photos library, or image files.

Makes working offline really easy , so does reviewing code . A MUST if you’re a developer One question , though : could it be possible to have folders be browsed the way GitHub does ? If src/main/package/file.txt is the only Filemón the structure , be able to see it directly , instead of have to browse all previous folders one by one .

I love it!
If you are a developer and want to use your iPad as a work device, you need this app. You can manage your git repositories (clone, init, fetch, pull, push) and edit files with your favourite text editor (Textastic in my case). It works fine, no problems or crashes. It is simple to use but very powerfull.
Fully recommended. Nice support and continuous development. Worth the price.

De lo mejor que puedes encontrar para trabajar con git. Lo único que le puedo reprochar es que el desbloqueo de las opciones Pro son solo para las mejoras de los siguientes 12 meses a partir de la compra. Pero aún así lo prefiero en lugar del modo de suscripción ya que así al menos te quedarán las opciones ya desbloqueadas activas. Aplicación muy recomendada!
Muy potente, me gusta más que otras herramientas de mac y pc. Una lástima que no pueda utilizar el iPad para programar.

This app works nicely with git, but if lacks support for qml (Qt) files, the fallback is plain text which makes editing tiresome. for C/C++ I could not find how to replace beginning spaces with tabs and set tab size. Is support for githooks something that will come?
Brilliant app, well done! I HIGHLY recommend this app. I'm am both a freelancer and CTO, this is now an essential addition to my software cache. I can track my teams commits and quickly make edits if needed. By the way - I never review apps, but this was so damn good and worth every penny I just had to.

Working Copy trabaja como predicho. Es un fastastico cliente a Git y te permite seguir tus "aventuras" de forma precisa y limpia. No se como he sobrevivido a Git en el terminal sin esta app. La recomiendo vivamente.
Sin eres desarrollador, esta aplicación no puede faltar en tu iPad, configurando los urlCallBacks para gestionar adecuadamente tu workflow tu iPad te va a permitir dejar más de una vez ese pesado portátil en tu mesa.
