Voulant apprendre l’anglais, j’utilise régulièrement ce dictionnaire pour mes lecture de livres en anglais.

Très bon dictionnaire, mais pourrait être enrichi de fonctions plus complexes (synonymes, etc.)

Très utile, pour le travail fin de traduction, c’est une référence pour l'étymologie donc d'une très grande richesse culturelle.

Une App facile à utiliser. Une grande clarté à la lecture. Merveilleux pour les non-anglophones.

Très utile et pratique de l’avoir en application sur mon téléphone. Beaucoup d’exemples de phrases avec le mot dans son contexte pour pouvoir correctement déterminer la bonne traduction.

Très pratique pour apprendre l’anglais (dans le cadre d’un TOEIC par exemple).

Super application pour avoir une bonne définition mais les pubs sont à peine envahissante en version gratuite. Après il faut bien faire marcher le modèle économique...

L’Oxford est LA référence des dicos d’Anglais, son utilisation est aisée et ses références toujours très pertinentes.

Complete definitions but synonyms missing

Ce dictionnaire est très utile

Section with phrasal verbs could be fantastic. I definitely agree. Some forms (e.g. indicting is missing as a direct entry and I find it a little bit troublesome sometimes not to be able to enter the dictionary via that entry). Can’t get the sound / pronunciation on my tablet - iPad while I have it on my iPhone (I have the premium subscription and should be able to enjoy same status on both terminals shouldn’t I? Thanks

OE is so reliable, while providing high quality content and being so instructive. I do not count the number of times when I check for the exact definition, spelling, etymology of a word... and end up following a track that takes me to new words and or better understanding. A super companion.

Great dictionary. I love saving ‘favorite’ words. But when user clicks in favorites, user can see the words but can’t click to see their definitions. Can you pls enable user to view definitions within ‘favs’?

When you study and translate English, it is an essential dictionary which is always at hand, accurate and up to date.

I will keep using the paper edition, but the online version will be a great help, always with me when I need it.

It indeed contains all English words and explain them in a clean and non-ambiguous way, always well understandable for me, despite English is not my mother tong.

Not expensive for a well known dictionary in the world. Easy to use and look up a word. High recommend to others.

And what is important is the possibility to hear the prononciation . When you are not an English speaker this is absolutely necessary

I love the online and the dictionary app, but they just change the design of the application and I do not like it.

Please stop forcing the so-called ´word of the day’ upon us and move your marketing ´manager’ to a more pastoral role within your group.

Top dictionary ! With clear definitions which permit us to submerge in the English environment. Useful for both academic and daily reference. Adaptable for both native and non-native speakers.

A really good dictionary as I expected from the oxford dictionary ! Precise, easy to use, some exemples for each word that make the understanding easier ...

The « Word of the Day » function is often inter restant to learn new Plus nearly complete thesorus.

It helps me to improve my English speaking since I was in 8th grade till now, 47 yrs old, still helps me a lot. Thank you

Trop de pub sur la version free

On a acheté. Maintenant on demande de payer encore une fois pour une version « premium ». Inacceptable!!!!

The so-called Fremium version allows 1 word a day!! And even that 1 word is inaccessible once you have clicked away from the definition. That is, you can not even recheck your one measly word, it is locked out of view. There is no thesaurus, nor etymology provided, that I could see. But since I couldn’t go back to check my one word, I couldn’t verify this lack of thesaurus and etymology. I like the ides of paying for applications because I don’t like advertising. (Although I don’t like of paying every year to have access.) I like the idea of temporary or limited access to content in order to assess the product in question. (When I go to buy a refrigerator in a shop, I can touch it etc in order make some judgement about how it works.) The extremely limited one-word, one-view freemium version of this dictionary makes me want to delete it. Which is what I will do.

J’ai validé l’essai de 3 jours et ils m’ont mis directement l’abonnement annuel. Arnaque à fuir !

What's the point in updating just this one with the subscription, and leaving bigger versions like the Shorter or even the Thesaurus in the dust for two years ? It tells a lot of things... I'm not going to trust you with your subscription model seeing how you deal with far better and more complete and useful versions of the OED.

Too bad that you now have no choice but to pay 46€ EVERY YEAR for 15 dictionaries when you only need one. The subscription model is really a disgrace. There used to be a time when you’d buy your dictionary and that was it. You could buy the update 10 years later. It’s real shame, considering that the content is great…

Not convinced by the June 2023 update: had to do a hard re-install (delete app and install) because it wouldn’t launch. Upon launch, bad surprise of facing a new advertising pop-up. And the new font is less classy than the former one. Give us back the excellent former version!

Pas de son donc aucun interet

Many of the words I have looked up are missing. I don’t know if this app. is a budget, limited version.

Bought the premium version on my iPhone, cannot access premium on iPad unless I pay again!

Bombed by adds and subscription requests. I’m sure the app is useful in the expensive paying version, but not in the free version.

No stars at all. Every time I try to look up a word an ad pops up. When I close the ad and try again, the ad pops up again ad infinitum. Hopeless dictionary of no use to me.
